The next morning Severus woke up early. Very early. Severus woke up, or rather was woken up, at around about two o'clock in the morning.
Severus was awoken by the sound of footsteps out in the hall. Severus immediately froze and listened. Who was it? Death Eaters that had escaped the battle? Order members that had heard he had enslaved their Golden Boy? Severus was only certain of one thing, this was not friend; only foe.
Being a spy for the last seventeen years had its advantages. For example, Severus now had heightened senses of hearing and lightning-fast reflexes. This helped Severus whenever someone was trying to sneak up on him.
Of course, this wasn't necessary when the person trying to sneak up on him was clumsy enough to trip over the rug at the foot of the bed and land on top of an already on-edge Severus Snape.
Without missing a beat, Severus had flipped over so that his assailant was beneath him. Severus had one hand over his attacker's windpipe, the other was groping for either the light-switch or his wand. Just as he felt the light-switch under his fingers, his attacker spoke.
"M-as-ter!" The person beneath him choked out.
Severus let go of Harry windpipe as if it had bitten him, he turned on the lights.
"Harry?" Severus whispered in horror. What had he done?
Harry coughed, rubbing his throat.
"Sorry I surprised you, Severus." Harry rasped out.
"You're… Sorry?" Severus repeated. He had nearly killed the boy and he was apologizing!
"Very sorry, sir!" Harry said in a more normal voice, though he was still rubbing his throat.
Severus sighed; it was too early to try to explain to Harry that he had no reason to be sorry.
"It's okay, Harry," Severus said, "What is it? What's wrong?"
"I-I had another bad dream," Harry said, "I wanted to sleep with Master."
For a moment Severus couldn't think of a single thing to say. The annoying little voice was concentrating on the last part of Harry's speech, Severus was ignoring it.
Children did sometimes ask to sleep with their parents after a bad dream, didn't they? Wasn't it the same scenario here? It would be okay, wouldn't it?
Severus was still so tired, he didn't have the strength to coax an unwilling Harry back to his own bedroom.
Severus sighed.
"Fine" He said yawning, "But stay on your own side."
"Yes, Severus." Harry said climbing into bed.
Severus considered casting a shield-charm between them, but decided against it. He had a bed large enough for both of them to stick to their own sides comfortably. They each lay down with their backs to each other.
"Goodnight, Harry." Severus whispered.
No reply.
Severus glanced over his shoulder. Harry was fast asleep.
And no sooner had Severus turned back and lain his head on his pillow than he was asleep as well.
When Severus awoke (again) that morning, the first thing he was aware of was that he was holding something very warm. It was such a pleasant heat that didn't want to wake up just then. It was so peaceful.
He thought about how he should get up, while his eyes were still stubbornly closed. He should get up, he needed to take Harry shopping…
Harry?
Severus' eyes shot open. He looked down at the warm thing he was holding.
Harry!
Severus closed his eyes again and gritted his teeth.
He, Severus Snape, was not spooning with Harry Potter!
Keep telling yourself that, Merlin help him that voice had to go!
Severus opened his eyes again, slowly, praying that it was all a dream. Hoping that he was in an empty bed.
Nope, the voice mocked him when he was once again faced by a sleeping Harry.
Severus sighed in frustration.
Harry shifted in his sleep. Severus froze as Harry snuggled closer to him.
What in blazes was going on?! How had this happened?
As I recall it, you invited him to spend the night in your bed after his nightmare, the voice said shrewdly.
Harry gave a small murmur, as if he knew it was time to get up but was stubbornly clinging to sleep. He tossed and turned against a still-frozen Severus.
Severus didn't dare move; he wasn't ready for Harry to wake up in this awkward –not so much for Harry– situation.
When Harry settled down again he was facing Severus, one arm around his shoulders and his head tucked beneath Severus' chin. Their legs were intertwined and certain parts Severus was trying not to think about were now lined up.
Well if we needed any proof that it was morning, there it is, that voice sure was enjoying this.
Severus didn't bother to reply. He was concentrating all of his will-power on not moving anything below his navel. The urge to thrust was growing bigger and bigger.
And longer, the voice added.
Severus gritted his teeth and clenched his eyes shut. He wasn't going to move, he wasn't going to move.
Harry shifted again, bringing his hips up in a small thrust.
Severus' concentration broke. He thrust back and bit his tongue in effort not to groan.
Harry moaned in his sleep, he started bucking his hips.
Severus panted as he bucked against his student.
"Oh, Harry!" Severus moaned as he camed
Harry gave a strangled groan as he came as well.
Severus sat up and put his face in his hands.
"Harry, forgive me!" He whispered.
"For what?" Came Harry's voice.
Severus uncovered his face and looked around. Harry was looking at him.
Harry was awake.
"H-how long have you been awake?" Severus asked.
Harry shrugged.
"Not long, Master." He answered, "A few minutes, I was awake before you started-"
"Okay, okay" Severus cut him off, he didn't need to hear what Harry was going to say.
The silence stretched on for a few moments.
"Forgive you for what, Severus?" Harry repeated, frowning.
"For, for," Severus didn't know exactly how to phrase it. He gestured around at themselves and the bed.
"Forgive you for making me feel good?" Harry asked.
"It was wrong for me to do that, Harry" Severus tried to explain.
"But didn't you like it, Master?" Harry asked.
"I-" Severus didn't know if he should answer that honestly.
"Didn't you like it?" Harry repeated.
He knows you did, the voice said, he knows.
"I know he does" Severus said to the voice.
You're doomed, said the voice.
AN: So what did you think? Please leave a review for me :)
I'll see you all next week!
