*Nine Years Later*
"Elizabeth! Stop running from your father!" Caroline yelled from Henriks room. He giggled up at her.
"What is your sister doing?" Caroline said in a cutesy baby voice as she picked up Henrik. He had just woken up from his nap. She shifted her weight from each foot as she adjusted him on her hip. He reached out and grabbed at Caroline's necklace. Caroline gave Henrick a sad smile. The necklace she wore was Klaus' engagement gift to her. He told her how it was the last thing he had that was Henriks. That fact that their son, named for obvious reasons, loved that necklace. Caroline bounced him gently. It was Lizzys 7th birthday and Klaus was currently trying to get her into the bath.
"Caroline! Switch with me." Klaus pleaded with his wife. She smiled as she walked out into the hallway. She passed Henrik off to Klaus and flashed off towards Lizzys. She grabbed her human daughter and lifted her off the ground. A mass of laughter spilled from her.
"Mommy!" Lizzys exclaimed excitedly. She threw her arms around Caroline's neck and squeezed tightly.
"Bath time." Caroline whispered. Lizzys yelled out but Caroline already had her in the bathroom.
"Your party is in two hours missy! Bath time!" Caroline exclaimed as she rolled up her sleeves. Lizzys huffed. She put up a minimum fight while Caroline wrestled her into the bath and scrubbed her daughter clean. After the bath Caroline wrapped her up in a big white towel and carried her to her room. Caroline picked the dress up from the bed and handed it to Lizzy. The dress was a simple white dress that had violet colored flowers on it. Lizzy put the dress on and Caroline called her over to the small white vanity that was pressed up against the wall in Elizabeths' room. Lizzy sat on the white stool as Caroline brushed her long blond hair. She blow dried it and braided it into twin braids.
Elizabeth and Henrik were both adopted. Elizabeth had been named after Caroline's mom. Henrik after Klaus' youngest brother. Lizzy looked a lot like Caroline and Klaus. Her hair was a pale blond, paler than Caroline's. Her eyes a vibrant blue like Klaus'. After a year of being together they had gotten married and Caroline wanted a daughter. So they adopted Elizabeth. A few years later Klaus wanted a son and they adopted Henrik. He had light brown hair and honey colored eyes. He turned three a couple months ago.
Caroline told Lizzy to go find her father whilst she got ready. The two children obviously knew about the existence of vampires. After all, their whole family was vampires. Caroline entered hers and Klaus room. She stared at the dress that hung on the door to their closet. She smiled to herself at her fortune. She showered and changed into the dress. The dress was a powdered purple color and reached just past her knees. The dress had off the shoulder straps that stretched down her arms to her elbows. The sleeves clung to her skin as did the rest of the dress. She matched the dress with a pair of black heels and a silver heart shaped locket. The locket held the pictures of both Lizzy and Henrik. Caroline curled her now dried hair and then pinned it up. A few curls fell down to frame her face. She was joined by Klaus in their room. He wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her against him. He placed gentle kisses against her temple. She smiled as she placed her hands over his.
"What of the kids?" She asked him as he changed into a slightly nicer outfit.
"Liz is waiting for the guests to arrive and Henrik is busy with his toys." Klaus smiled at her.
"You look ravishing." He stated as he looked her over. She laughed as she waved a dismissing finger at him. Caroline could hear young Henrik crying downstairs.
"Finish getting ready and meet me downstairs." Caroline placed a quick kiss to his lips before she was out of the room and head towards Henrik. He was lying on his back and a small cut marked his face. The cut didn't last long. As Caroline made her way to Henrik the cut had healed. They feed their children a small amount of vampire blood each day. It was Klaus' idea and while Caroline strongly disagreed with it, she also saw reason. Caroline picked Henrik up and he stopped his crying. He rubbed the spot the cut had been.
"Uncle Stefan is here!" Lizzy yelled out as she ran towards the door and through it open. A minute later Stefan came walking in with Lizzy attached to him. Stefan was laughing.
"Elizabeth! Do not ruin that dress." Caroline scolded her daughter. Lizzy scowled at her mother before she dropped down and clung to Stefans leg. As soon as Carolines attention was back on Henrik Lizzy stuck her tongue out at her mother. Stefan laughed. Aria walked through the door behind Stefan.
"I think Bonnie is here as well." She pointed at the door as she walked over to Stefan.
Stefan had meet Aria in Florida three years ago. She made him forget about Elena and he genuinely liked her. So did everyone. She had red hair that was straightened and reached just to her breast. A pair of electrifying green eyes stared down at Lizzy. Lizzy had only meet Aria a few times and still was slightly wary of the red headed vampire. Aria wore a simple black dress with a pair of black heels. She held a bright pink present in her hands.
"Is that?" Lizzy trailed off as she stared at the present.
"Your birthday present? Yes it is." Aria chuckled as she handed the gift to Lizzy. Lizzy ran off with the gift. Klaus joined everyone in the living room. He and Stefan hugged while Aria held Henrik.
"He's getting big isn't he?" Stefan chuckled as Kol and Bonnie walked in.
"Bonnie!" Caroline squealed as she rushed to give her hug. Kol walked over to the boys and struck up a conversation with them.
Bonnie was now a vampire. Kol had turned her about two years ago. Kol was strongly against it but Bonnie knew she loved Kol. She didn't want to sit by and force him to watch her age while he didn't. The were happy in love with each other.
The hadn't seen Elijah in almost twenty years. He left after the deal with Silas was done. He never kept contact and Klaus had trouble locating him. No one really knew what he was doing or why he left. But Caroline and Klaus made sure their children grew up hearing about their wonderful uncle. So that when Elijah came back, his niece and nephew would know him.
Rebekah walked through the door just then. A very guilty look on her face.
"Please don't be mad at me." She stared at Caroline.
"What did you break?" Klaus sighed. Rebekah just shook her head. Matt walked in then and all heads turned to see Matt. Caroline was confused at first then it hit her.
"You turned him? You let her turn you? I thought you hated vampires, so to speak." Caroline spoke as the others realized his new vampirism.
"I was kinda an accident." Matt shrugged.
"How do you get accidently turned?" Aria giggled.
"We were running from one of the local tribes and well I had cut my leg earlier so Bekah gave me some blood. So we were running and well it was either they caught us or jump from the cliff. We choose the latter." Matt shrugged.
"Your okay with this though?" Caroline checked. He nooded and smiled at her. She nodded back.
The whole gang was there. They would be forever. Although they may have their fights they would forever be family. Who would have thought, small town people marrying and dating the most powerful beings on this Earth. They would go on to share the most special of times together. Weddings, death of their children, the turning of their children. They would go through the years together. They would experience all kinds of things. Human Experiences…
The End.
Lost With Death was my first fanfiction I ever wrote. I would like to thank all of you who have read this. I really didn't think many would read it. This story is dedicated to one of my best friends, Jess. She introduced me to the world of fanfiction. For those who read my other stories, I'm working on them! Thanks Again!
