Crane was in his room again, reading a few of the scrolls that Tigress had gotten her information from. Like Tigress had said before, there wasn't much. He sighed and rolled the scroll back up, knowing he was just doing this to pass the time and pretend to be useful. Suddenly, Po burst in his room, hyperventilating. He held a fresh new scroll and showed it to Crane.

"Report…..theft….we…we…need to go now." Po puffed. Crane nodded and they both exited the room. Viper was waiting for them at the door, anxiety obvious in her expression.

"Let's go! We have no time to lose!" She warned. They were at the gate now. Po dropped to his knees and performed a perfect side kick, slamming the red wooden door open. The trio flew, ran, and slithered down the ancient stone stairs. It seemed like forever to get to the bottom and they wasted no time hurrying to the shop which had been broken into.

Yu's Traded Import looked fine on the outside. The door and walls were intact in one piece and there was no sign of a forced entry. Yu, an untrusting white rabbit, scurried up to them, hurriedly dressed in a silken gown.

"Where were you?! I have been standing out here, desperate for the return of my prized import!" Yu said scathingly.

"What was stolen?" Viper inquired.

"Stolen? You ask what was stolen? My priceless jade lion, of course! Now go and find it!" The greedy animal hissed.

Crane calmly picked up Yu and pinned him to the wall with his talon. It was clear he was slightly aggravated. "You are not worthy of that tone, especially to one of the Furious Five. You should be grateful we came to your shop in the first place."

"Okay, okay, okay! Let me down!" It was clear this rabbit had a certain phobia of heights. Crane rolled his eyes and unceremoniously dropped Yu onto the floor.

Viper turned to the others. "The thief couldn't have gotten far. Crane scan from above, Po, you and I will split up and search the nearby streets. The police have already started looking." Crane nodded and in a flash, disappeared into the sky. Viper dashed away to the eastern part of the valley while Po inspected the other half.

Viper slithered from street to street, using her flickering tongue to pick up traces of the robber's scent. She followed it to a certain alleyway, but spotted a few police there and decided to leave it to them. She once thought she saw a masked figure standing above the Lonely Moon Tea Shop, but a second glance revealed that nothing was there. The snake sighed, her mind on Tigress more than the current situation.

A half hour later produced nothing. Crane shook his head when Viper asked for reports. "First, I have no idea what this thief looks like. Two, it is cloudy. And three, I am personally worrying more about the position of our team rather than a common thief."

"You know what the thief looks like! I told you! You just wouldn't believe me!" Yu shouted angrily.

Crane rolled his eyes. "Your description is impossible."

"No, it is not! I specifically told you, 'I got a glance of the revolting burglar, it was a tiger in a silken vest'!"

"The only tiger in the valley is Tigress, and she would have never of stolen anything. And she never wear anything fancy, especially outdoors."

"A tiger?" Viper inquired. She sounded hopeful. "Like a red cat?"

"Orange, red, they all look the same to me." Yu still had dripping venom in his voice, but they could tell he was excited that they might have the identity of the thief.

"Po, Crane, this might be the infamous assassin we've been searching all along! C'mon, we have no time to lose!" Viper sped past them. Her face showed obvious relief and was that happiness? "We have to stick together, this may get out of hand."

The other two obediently followed her, only pausing to peek down roads and streets. Po ran down the paved roads; his sandals splashing in puddles. Crane obviously took to the air as Viper moved on the roofs. As they reached the scary part of the valley, they slowed down, being more careful in every step. They made no noise as they searched around, not daring to even breathe. It was only when they spotted something in the mud that they spoke.

"Hey, look at this." Crane hovered over a normal-looking patch of mud.

"Woah, it's a print of a boot!" Po gazed at it with awe.

"It's fresh," Viper observed. "The assassin could be anywhere. Be on your guard."

The trio slowly made their way down the alley, following the set of blurry, muddy prints when it, suddenly, stopped.

"Where'd the trail go?" Po looked all around him, as if the answer would be posted on the nearby wall.

"You're asking the wrong question. It's where did the criminal go? And the answer is up. We need to check the roofs." Crane corrected.

"Crane's right. And it would be better to get a nice bird's eye view of the layout of the city." Viper agreed.

They all clambered onto the traditional red and tiled roofs. They were all in the same general area, only a few buildings apart. Po paced along his roof, routinely glancing under the roof. Crane flew around and kept looking in different places, as if playing a game of hide-and-seek. Out of nowhere, his gaze locked on a shadowy figure, disappearing behind a building.

"Over there!" Crane called out, pointing where the elusive silhouette had just once been.

Viper and Po, with surprising speed, sprinted next to Crane, following the white bird's lead. They watched the figure make sudden turns and back track a few times; attempting to lose them. The trio, more determined than ever, would not be fooled by such tricks and kept cornering the thief and watch the robber slip through their fingers every single time. Then, when Viper and Po had the figure backed up into a corner, Crane swooped down and pinned it to the wall.

"Give it back!" He commanded. The trapped criminal made a set of gurgling noises and fell back into silence. Crane pressed his talons harder, drawing blood from the victim's neck, until Po put a hand on his shoulder and gave him a warning look. Crane released his grip and backed off, ashamed of his gory action. Viper came up to the caught thief and in one fluid motion, ripped off its mask...and gasped.

"Fine, you found out. Now stop staring at me or I'll shut up and not explain anything." The frighteningly familiar face snarled unhappily.

It was Tigress.
