"A college reunion huh."

"Yep! It's gonna be a blast!"

Boo was sitting on her bedroom bed while Randall was teaching her new words. She tells him her visit on meeting Oozma Kappa. She had good time and gotten to know more about her new friends. Then Boo went on about the college reunion, which she was eager to tell Randall about.

"They said they want it at Monsters Inc" said Boo.

"I see," Randall said and held up a card in front of her, "Okay now guess this one."

"Telephone booth" Boo said correctly.

"Good."

"You going to the reunion too right Randy?" asked the little girl.

Randall blinked and paused for a moment, he wasn't even thinking about going to this reunion. He see no reason of why he should be there. Thinking about the past again he really didn't made any friends after he left ROR and didn't had any good days at the university, he just got through the four years and moved on. Even if he did go, there will be not much for him to look forward.

"Uh, probably not" he finally answered.

"Aww, but it won't be fun without you" wined Boo pulling on Randall's second pair of hands, "you have to come."

Randall slightly chuckled, "I'll think about it, how about that?"

"Okay but you gotta let me know soon" Boo smiled up to him.

Randall's fronds raised a bit when he realized, "Wait you're going to the reunion?"

"Of course I am."

The purple lizard put down the cards and folded his arms. He doesn't know how to break to her but believes that this should be mention at one point. "I don't know kid, that may not be the best idea" he said.

"Why not?" she tilted her head.

"You know what a college reunion is?" he waited for her to nod, "You know that everyone is going to be there, and everyone is going to see you there."

"So? I'll be careful like I always have."

"Yeah but this is different" said Randall trying to sound serious, "We're talking about a big group of strangers, one slip up and then it's over."

Now Boo doesn't know what to say, what Randall is saying is basically the truth and she can't deny any of it. But at the same time, just like very curious child, she really wanted to go the reunion and wasn't planning on missing it.

"But Oozma Kappa were okay with me" she said.

"That's because they're Oozma Kappa" Randall said with no enthusiasm.

"But kitty said it's okay" Boo said, although that wasn't really the truth. Sulley only said 'maybe' at the visit. Randall narrowed his eyes and gave the child a knowing look as if he knew it was a lie. Boo frowned at the look and was getting frustrated.

"Okay so he didn't really say that but I still wanna come!"

"I don't think you have a choice" said Randall.

"You can't tell me what to do!" said an irritated Boo, she folded her arms and looked the other direction.

"Look I'm just saying it's for your own good!" Randall trieed to sound reasonable, "You can't keep doing this all the time Mary! I know the two dorks love having you around but sooner or later all of us are gonna get caught. Do understand now?"

Boo didn't answer. Her eyes were little watery from the lizard's yelling tone but mostly from the last sentence he said. Mike and Kitty do love having her around and the thought of them getting in trouble because of her made her more upset. Randall deeply sighed and went to sit next to her, they stayed like that for a few moments until he spoken up.

"Mary, you're a good kid" he said as he gently ruffled her hair, "I just want nothing bad happen to you, okay?"

Boo blinked, eyebrows raised with awareness as she turns to the lizard monster. Randall may not realized it himself but she could tell that he was really concern about her safety.

"He really cares about me" she thought and smiled to him.

He smiled back, "It's getting late I better get going."

"Okay see ya later Randy" said Boo hugging the lizard.

"Yeah, see ya kid" said Randall as he awkwardly pats her back. He goes back to his world and shuts down the door. As he was about to leave the room, he stopped and looks back at Boo's door. It's been a month since he started seeing the kid, every time he visited her his heart would feel warm. At first he didn't like that feeling, thought it was disgusting, but now he felt more use to it as if he was being his old self once again.

He slightly smiled and muttered to himself, "What is this kid doing to me?"

The next few days every monster in the factory was decorating and preparing for the college reunion. Sulley and Barson were on the Laugh Floor deciding on what kind of balloons they need.

"We got some old supplies in the basment, we can use those" suggest Sulley.

"That's fine" said Barson, "So how many boxes we need to carry out sir?"

"Maybe a few, I could use some help."

"That's not a problem. I could help out and- guys the signs have to hang on this side of the wall." Barson flew over to fix the issue, while Sulley looked at his schedule and the party list. He glanceed at the corner of his eyes and spotted Randall walking by.

"Hey Randall."

The lizard stopped and turned to the CEO boss, "Oh, hey Sullivan."

"So has the training going for you?" asked the poka-dotted monster.

"Um…okay, I guess" said Randall. He was still not used to talking to Sulley. He knows that the blue monster was trying to act more friendly to him, but that didn't mean he hates Sulley less.

"So, excited for the big reunion?" asked Sulley.

"Not really" Randall blandly replied.

Sulley simply shrugged, "Well who knows, could be fun."

"Can't wait to see your buddies from ROR?" Randall asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Them? Nah, I rather see more of my Oozma brothers."

Randall wanted to ask Sulley about a topic that's been bugging him a lot, something he thought could reduce his hate. "Let me ask you something" he began, "Why did you cheat on that day, at the final game?"

He saw Sulley flinched like he was caught in a lie, probably because he wasn't expecting anyone to ask him about that.

"Um…well, I…I didn't mean to. It was for personal reasons…"

"Yeah right" said Randall annoyed, "You wanted that trophy all to yourself because you're a Sullivan."

"NO! I just didn't want to fail anyone."

"Fail? What do you mean?"

"I mean, everyone wanted me to succeed because I'm a Sullivan. I thought being a Sullivan I could do anything without even trying, but I was wrong. I was so afraid of failing, and failing my family.

Sulley stared at the ground and then looks back up.

"So yeah, what I did was stupid and selfish and because of what I did Mike went to the human world on his own. I, I gave the trophy back to ROR and turn myself in."

Randall's brow raised with disbelief, "So wait, you did all of that because you were afraid?"

"Yeah, and I did it because I didn't want Mike to be humiliated. That was the mistake, I should have told him the truth."

Randall couldn't believe what he was hearing. He never thought that this big bulky monster was terrified of disappointing people. He folded his arms, "You're not the only one, everybody is afraid to fail. You think I don't know how that feels."

Sulley frowned, "I'm not saying is all about me, I'm just saying that I understand. We all make mistakes. Even you and me."

Randall just made a face and stared at the ground. He had never made mistakes in his life, has he?

He tried to fit with the big crowd, and when he did he did not comprehended that he was being used. Mike needed his help for the Scare Games but he turn him down, remembering that heartbreaking look on his face. When he apply for Monsters Inc, Sulley was friendly and offer his friendship but Randall wanted nothing of it. And then he help Waternoose to build the machine believing he would get something out of it.

The biggest mistake of all leaving a door out on the Floor and a little girl walked into their world.

"Wow, that many…" Randall thought.

He openly said without even thinking about it, "I think I should be the one taking the blame."

Sulley raised his brow.

"I never thought Mike as a scary monster but I never told him myself. Maybe it was because I didn't have the guts to tell him or, maybe, he was my only friend."

Sulley blinked, now seeing how much Mike's friendship met to Randall. He was about to answer when Barson files back to him.

"Ah, Mr. Boggs perfect timing! Can you help us collect some items in the basement?"

Sulley turned to Randall who nodded in agreement, since the lizard had nothing to do he might as well come along. The three of them left the Laugh Floor and enter the hallways leading to a familiar path.

They stood in front of the doorway, Randall was aware and turned to Sulley, "Isn't this the…"

"Yeah, we turn that underground lab into a basement" Sulley explained.

"This use to be a lab?" asked Barson who took interest in the conversation.

Randall rubbed the back of his head, "Well, it was where Waternoose and I build this machine. I wanted to revolutionized the scream industry and help save the company. But, now….I see I did it for the wrong reasons. Of course Waternoose was gonna take the glory since it was his idea. I should have known…"

He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up to see Sulley, "I know you didn't mean to, but let's not thinking about it anymore" and the poka-dotted monster smiled warmly to Randall.

Randall stills felt uncertain but smileed faintly, at least he was trying. He was starting to feel the anger that he carried towards Sulley fading away. As they made their way down, Randall see the room was still the same as before. The pipes were still rusty, the light were still a little dim, and the only difference was now the room was filled with dusty boxes.

Sulley, Barson, and Randall got to work as they looked in every box for the party supplies and rearranging them at the same time. They were able to find only two so far. Randall was looking in one corner of the room until he knock something over, he stopped and picked it up. It was a rolled up paper that haven't been touch in years. As he aspects at it more, he see there were blue prints signed by a familiar name.

"What's that?" asked Sulley looking over Randall's shoulder.

"…There instructions to build the machine, Wathernoose and I made them" said Randall almost in a whisper. Revisiting these notes just reminded Randall about the past, how he was in the past. It made him angry and sick, he couldn't believe that he was stupid enough to let that old spider used him. He grip on the papers tightly, after an inhale breath he quickly rolled up the paper.

"Barson, can you do me a favor?"

The bat-like monster heard his name called and flew over the lizard, "What is it Mr. Boggs?"

Randall shoved the blue prints in Barson's arm, "I want you to get rid of this."

Barson gave him an odd expression, "Are you sure sir?"

The purple lizard just nodded his head and gave a prideful smile, "I'm positive."

With that Barson left the cellar with the blue prints. Randall turned to Sulley who gave a knowing look as if he's saying "I'm very proud of you."

"You're not the same Randall I know, you really are changing" he said.

Randall didn't know what to say about that but just smirked, "heh yeah, all thanks to that brat of yours."

Sulley rolled his eyes, "Yeah but that brat loves you."

Randall blushed and his eyes went wide, a little embarrassed at the comment. He knew the kid was growing attach to him but he never even thought that she would love him. But why he wonders, he sees no reason for it, of course he likes his new friend but he would never admit it to anyone, not even to Sulley.

"Hey, I'm inviting Boo to help us bake snacks for the party. The Oomzas will be there too, so I was wondering if you would…'

Randall's fronds raised in awareness and turned to Sullivan, "You want me to come to your place and…bake?"

"Yeah it will be fun, if you want to come that is."

The lizard thought hard, he wasn't planning on anything for tonight and he wouldn't mind seeing Boo again. "Eh, why not. But I'm only going for the kid, knowing her I think she would want me there" Randall answered and letting Sulley know he wasn't buddies with him yet.

The poka-dotted just smiled as he carried out the boxes, "All right, I'll see you around."

Randall followed him out of the basement, wondering if this was a good idea or not.

"Art, stop eating the frosting!"

"But it taste good and purple is favorite my color."

Mike tried to take the frosting away from Art while the others gathered more ingredients together. Boo couldn't wait to get started, she wanted to try Cherri's specials cookies. There was knock on the door and Boo goes to answer it. She was very surprise to see who it was.

"Randy!" she gasped, "I can't believe you're here!"

Randall gave out a grunt as the little girl jumped on him and hugged him. He gives her a pat on her head and looks up to see the Oozma Kappa boys staring at him as if they never seen a monster like him before. He wondered if they remembered him being in ROR, probably not. Mike, on the other hand, stopped playing tug of war with Art as he saw who was at the door.

"YOU!" Mike cried out, "What in the world is he doing here?"

"Michael! Show some manners" said Celia.

"Hey, haven't I seen this fella before…?" questioned Don who tilted his head rubbed his chin.

"Yeah, was your name um…I know it starts with an R…" said Squishy.

"It's Randall, Randall Boggs. I was in the ROR team on my first year at the university."

"And build a scary machine to test on kidnapped children and tried to kill us!" Mike blurted out without hesitation.

"But he's changed" Boo said quickly, "He's our friend now and, we're happy to have him here, right Kitty?"

The girl looked up to her monster, seeing if he could help out the situation. Sulley smiled and just put his hand on Randall's shoulder, "Randall is our guest and he's here to help us bake, so whda' say we welcome him in."

The Oozmas agreed with a small cheer and did welcomed him which made Randall shocked yet touched. Mike gestured a hand signal to Sulley and the big guy followed his friend to his room, along with Celia and Boo.

"You invited him!? Are you crazy Sul?" said Mike.

"No, I'm just being a good monster" said Sulley, "like you should be."

"Com'n you guys I know Randall and-"

"No Mikey you DON'T!" snapped Boo who had enough from her uncle, "You never knew who Randy was. He may be grumpy at you and Kitty but at least he's trying to let that go and I can see that."

"Boo is right sweetie, you need to let it go" said Celia, "For once, stop being mad at him and give him a chance."

Mike was left soundless, staring at the ground with shame. He doesn't want Randall to be here yet he didn't mean for his friends to be mad at him for his actions.

"Am I being harsh on this?" he thought to himself.

"Yes you are!" said a little voice in Mike's head. The one-eye monster deeply sighed and walked out of the room. He sees Randall chatting a little more with his brothers and walked towards him.

"Hey um, listen…", Mike waits for Randall's attention to turn to him, "Um I know I've been…a-a jerk, ever since you came back. And I know what you're thinking 'I finally grasped on that now' and, yeah I am. What I'm, trying to say is…can we just forget, all of this, like start over. I know our friendship didn't work out from the start but-"

"I get it Wazowski" Randall said simply, "It's about time you'd said something like that. And to be honest, I was thinking the same thing. That's why I came here."

The green ball monster frowned, "You don't have to if you don't wanna. I understand why, I let my studies and trying to be better than Sulley get in the way. I mean when I saw you in ROR I thought, I thought our friendship didn't matter to you anyone, but now I see that played a part in this too-"

"Mike!" Boo almost gasp when she heard Randall said Mike's name for the first time, "Enough with the sap talk it's boring me. Let's just call it truce and move on."

Mike bilked and just gawked as Randall for what he just said. This was definitely not the same Randall Boggs that taunted him and chase him in the Door vaults. He finally smiled and nodded to the lizard, "All right then."

Boo jumped for joy and griped Randal and Mike's hands, "Does that mean you're friends again?"

Randall just shrugged, "Eh, we're getting there kid."

"Now that dramatic talk is settled let's kick this night out with music!" cried out Art as he pulled out a CD box from nowhere.

"Cool!" said Terri, "The 80s' collection CDs', where did find this Art?"

"Oh I found it while swimming through the dumpster."

"Wait…you wha-?"

"BAKING TIME!"

And so the group of friends went to work with 80s' music playing in the backround. Cherri, Sulley and Don were baking the cookies while the rest had to make three batches of cupcakes.

Randall helped Mike and Squishy mix in the dough while Terri, Terry, and Celia baked the first batch. Boo and Art were in charge of making the chocolate, although Randall had to glace at them every five minutes to make sure they're not sticking their fingers in the bowl.

"Guys, don't even think about it!" cried Randall.

"We didn't do anything "said Boo.

"I saw you Mary."

The girl pouted a little and went back making the chocolate.

"Wow Randall, you're really good at mixing" said Squishy.

"Yeah have you done this before?" asked Terry.

"Um, yeah I've baked before. I use to do this all the time with my family."

"Aw, that's sweet" said Celia, "I love to bake, especially with my googile bear…"

"Oh Celia…" Mike said with passion.

"Oh brother" Randall rolled his eyes causing Boo to giggle.

"The chocolate's done now can I lick the spoon!" asked Art.

"Now hold on," Don stepped in, "we need to speared the chocolate on the first batch."

As soon the bell ding they start working on the first batch, each one with a cupcake and decorating it. Boo had a hard time with the frosting tube and Randall had to show her how to use it.

"Just squeeze it gently…"

"L-like this Randy?" Boo put a smile face on the cupcake.

"Yup, there you go. Now don't squeeze it har-"Boo accidently squeezed the tube hard and pink frosting went on Mike's face. Randall burst out laughing giving the girl a pat on the back.

"Ha! Nice shot!"

"Wah! My eyeball! I can't see! "yelped Mike as he blindly reaches for a towel only to accidently slam another tube and green frosting got on Randall's face.

Everyone starting laughing at the two monsters who wiped the frosting away with their hands. They looked at each other and couldn't help but chuckle. They were actually laughing with each other, just like when they were young.

"Here ya go" said Art handing a wipe to the lizard.

"Uh, thanks."

A bell goes off which got Cherri attention, "Oh, my cookies are done!"

She took out her cookies and waited for them to cool off. The monsters each took one and Boo took the biggest one.

"What kind of cookies are these?" she asked

"There my famous deep chocolate and gummy dough cookies" said Cherri.

"Whoa, I never had a gummy cookie before" said Boo as she took a bite. It was good and was gummy as Cherri said.

"Cherri you've done it again," said Don, "You always make the best cookies."

"Oh Don, your making me blush."

"Aw mom not again" said Squishy who was embarrassed as his mother and step father were making kissy faces.

"I'll get the second batch ready" said Randall as he walked back to the kitchen.

"Hey I'll help you out" said Terry.

"Yeah, you gotta show me how stir the dough like that" said Terri.

"Sure thing twins" said Randall.

As the night goes on, it was almost time for Boo to go home. Sulley and Mike took her home while Randall stayed with the Oozmas, chatting with them more comfortable now. He really felt relax for once and he actually liked the Oozma's company. They weren't that annoying or losers as he thought they were, and felt bad for even thinking that. In fact, he felt that even though he just met them, he felt that he was friends with the brothers already.

And that was ch11! And once again sorry for the delay, if you see any mistakes let me know! OH GOD this chapter was long BUT important, mostly because there's alot of foreshadowing things to what you may ask? I still can't tell you but the next chapter will be the reunion...and I have feeling that this one will be much longer than 11. Btw, gummy cookies eww!
