Hi there Good People Of Fan fiction. I'm alive, and here to post a new chapter. Of this story. From two years ago. I'm a bad person but at least I know it right. So anyway here's the chapter I'm sorry. I suck. But enjoy this calm (I guess you could say) before the storm of the next chapter.

Quick disclaimer (I own nothing)

:D Enjoy

Ch. 11 Evidence Needed

…Willow…

My eyes widened.

On the bed were a series of newspapers, as I already knew there would be, but, to my surprise, a dark green jacket appeared behind the scattered pages.

My hands reached for the jacket. The cloth was soft and worn from age, but the color was still a vibrant green shade. My fingers traces over golden zipper. Silver embroidery thread spelled out a name, Artemis, over the right side. The letters, small and delicate, underlined by a little golden arrow. I laughed at the Green Arrow merchandise in my hands, my thoughts wandered towards something my mom once said. "A hero having their own products. That's the most egotistical thing I've ever heard."

Another laughed echoed from my lips. I flipped over the sports coat as another set of giggles escaped me. In big bright green letters the words TEAM ARROW stretched across the shoulder blades. The whole coat looked as if it belonged in some Green Arrow fan club. Either way, the jacket looked to be a good blazer to run in. I slipped the cloth over my shoulders, felling the warmth emitting from it. I beamed with delight at the sudden comfortable calm swelling through me.

It was then that I glanced down. In shock and amazement a thick black book stared back at me. Simple turquoise letters graced the cover. Suddenly an unsettling fear rolled through me like a gust of winter air. I lifted a shaky hand towards the words tracing them slowly. With an attempt to gather my thoughts.

"Memories." The word danced through the still air around me. Everything seemed to freeze, time slowed around me. I shook my head, clearing the feeling from my mind. Once more I reached for the cover, still unsettled. Peeling the cover back, my eyes widened in shock.

Two girls stood on either side of a 17 year old version of my mother. I blinked as unexplained emotions coursed through my body. A tear slipped down my cheek, my fingertips wiped the liquid away.

The three girls looked happy each with a smile and a twinkle in their eyes. I studied my mother closely. Never once had I seen a smile so radiant on her face. Her hair was longer and almost brighter. Her eyes were soft and telling, clearly she had a history – a tough one – but she still wore a smile that showed a joy she no longer felt.

My teeth nibbled away at my lip as my eyebrows pushed together in concentration. The two other girls looked so familiar. I studied there features. One girl had smooth shiny black hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and soft pale looking skin. Her smile looked almost magical. A stark contrast from both my mother and the other girl. The other girls completion was peachier, light brown freckles dotted her cheeks and nose. Her auburn hair had a wavy twirl about it. I tried to place the two girls, but quickly gave up realizing the futility of the attempt.

With a soft swift sound, the page flipped, revealing the answers I had just searched my mind for. The three girls stood together posing in their respective uniforms – Those being of Miss Martian, Zatanna and Artemis. My mouth hung open. The peachy skin tone of the auburn suddenly turned green. A red x crossed her chest. A blue skirt hung around her waist, the same shade of blue that hung around her shoulders. Zatanna wore her older magician's outfit complete, to my surprise, with a top hat. In the background stood several other heroes. I looked closer and screamed in shock as I saw the face of Kid Flash standing next to Robin and Aqualad. My mother personally knew Kid Flash (who is now the Flash) and she hide it from me! I took a breath and flipped the page once more. There Miss Martin stood with her arms wrapped around Super boy. I gawked at the picture. I turned the page once more.

My mother no longer in costume stood next to a blond man. I looked closer at his face and gasped.

"That's Oliver Queen!" My mother sure held a lot of secrets. I sighed, fingers reaching towards the next page, the hand underneath slipping from underneath the cover. The album went tumbling down to the floor. Reaching down, a wave of shock hit me like a tornado in Kansas.

A picture of a familiar red head with green eyes and a charming smile was glaring back at an unaware blonde. I inspected the image closer. My mother was in her costume and all though the image cut out the majority of Wally's body, it appeared he too wore hero gear. Flipping back to the front I scanned the photos for one of a red headed teen male. My breath stuck in my throat, choking me into an awkward silence. Kid Flash. His bright red hair. That smile. Those green eyes.

Wally was Kid Flash.

Meaning, He is the Flash.

I gawked at the realization.

"Oh my god. I met the Flash!" I jumped up from sheer joy at the realization, the book once more falling from my lap. Looking down at it, I pondered what other secrets it held.

But before I had the chance to wander further into the book of secrets. The front door opened. I quickly stuffed everything back into the box, besides the coat around my shoulders and placed the container under my bed. My mother pushed open the door right at the moment I snuggled under the covers, pretending I was fast asleep.

Through half lidded eyes, I watched her softly shut the door and whisper a sweet goodnight. And to my surprise, sleep instantaneously took me under is spell.

…Wally…

The metal lock box stared back at me, and for some reason I was nervous.

"Oh come on Baywatch. What are you going to find in there? Caption Cold's head?" Laughter erupted from my lips at the thought of Barry killing someone. Tussling my red hair, I stuck the key into the lock. With a swift twist the little door opened. Inside was, to my surprise, a shoe box.

"You buy a fancy lock box, several states away from where you live, to put a shoe box inside it. Come on Barry, you couldn't be more ridiculous." With a shake of my head I opened the lid, assuming the envelope was meant to be placed inside. Several letters sat there, each with a different name written on top. A particularly thin letter waited patiently with my name atop it.

I knew what the box was. Every hero had one, mine being in Keystone, but I was just surprised by the location of Barry's.

"Why Gotham Barry? What's so special about here?"

Instead of pondering further about the boxes location, I compared it to Willow's.

At that moment an attendant came in startling me. "Are you done sir? I can't leave you in here much longer. As is the rules, especially with what happened yesterday."

"Um, yeah. I'm done." With little thought, I stuffed my letter into my pocket while placing Willow's in the box, closing the lid and turning the key.

…Artemis…

The dusty stacks of case files stared back at me blankly as the coffee in my mug swirled around dully. The noise of the station house became a dull buzz in my ears.

Sigh. This is stupid. I should be home with Willow.

With all of the craziness from yesterday, I let her stay home. I, on the other hand, felt the need to escape the house, to be useful to the community.

But that's pointless. If I'm not needed today, why be in the way? I looked at the clock. 12 minutes till noon. Standing up the chair spun out from under me, causing the slightest of squeaks. I grabbed my coat and my bag and headed towards the door.

"Hold up Artemis." I turned my head to look at my captain. Next to him stood a tall man, in a fine pin stripped suit. His eyes seemed hauntingly dark, betraying the blinding smile on his face.

"This is-"

"Bruce Wayne." I smiled and held out my hand.

"Nice to meet you, Detective." He clasped my hand in a way that sent familiar shivers down my spine.

"Yes nice to meet you." I held back a laugh. Bats needs to do a better job at hiding himself. A moment of shock and realization was entertained in his expression before he gave into a bat glare. I remained unfazed, but a small part of me shivered with the horrifying memories.

"What can I help you with, Mr. Wayne? I was hoping to go home to my daughter, she seems in shock from her Uncles hospitalization yesterday. Maybe he told you of the incident?" He coughed at the boldness of my words, as I planned for a swift death.

"Actually he has. And I came here to discuss something's with you involving yesterday's events. "

"Ahem," the captain interrupted wanting to break through the intense conversation. "Yes, Mr. Wayne wanted to invite you to this year's Hero's ball. Even the Mayor request that you attend." I blinked at the two men in front of me. Bats was planning something. I looked closer at him. He gave me a smirk but remained stoic. In his hand was four neatly pressed invitations.

"So, Detective, will you accept?"

Oh my gosh. That ending. Man I wonder what will happen next? Oh I know the summary will finally be relevant. Ha I suck, but whatever.
