I really like this response I'm getting!

I love reading the reviews (so make more!) and getting random follows and such. It's fun and just makes you want to write.

So I hope you like this next chapter and keep… doing what you do :)

Chapter Eleven

Straight from the poster town of scorn and ritz,
Brings you the wilder side of gold and glitz.
-Neon Tiger by The Killers

Imogen's secret hideout was pretty much a small warehouse that needed to be cleaned badly.

The walls were stacked with shelves and unopened boxes that were covered in what seemed to be car parts and packing peanuts. Packing peanuts were also strewn across the cold, cement floor. They hid the randomly placed puddles of oil, so you had to watch where you stepped.

I'm not sure how I felt about this girl… Eh, who am I kidding? I didn't like her at all.

I quietly followed behind Eli and Imogen while Eli explained our situation. I didn't really pay attention. I felt really uncomfortable in this place… with the both of them. Together.

I sighed as I stepped around a puddle of oil. I just wanted my car! I didn't want to pick up supplies or be in this… bubble!

I just wanted my car. My car that I could drive all the way to Arizona with.

Just thinking about Arizona made my stomach hurt. Were we ever going to get out of here? I can't live my life like this! My future is on the line here!

What if I died?

Well that would really suck.

I bit my lip, I was getting really impatient. My racing thoughts were making me more and more anxious.

Imogen lead us to this wooden door half-hidden by filing cabinets in the very back of the warehouse. She noisily pushed them out of her way and got a key from her front pocket, unlocking the door.

It was extremely dark in there but was quickly illuminated when Imogen flipped a switch. This room was much more neat and nicer.

A really soft-looking green bed that made my whole body ache was sitting right in the middle of the room. The walls were a dark red and the paint was just beginning to peel. A dusty looking carpet covered the floor. Book cases, a couch, an old fridge, and a useless TV lined the back wall and two desks both lined the left and right walls.

Eli nodded, "I like what you've done with the place."

Imogen shrugged, pushing stray strands of hair from her face effortlessly, "I found this stuff around town in apartments. Might as well make the end of the world look pretty."

I looked around, trying to ignore her 'end of the world' comment. She found this stuff in apartments. I wonder if she got anything from my family's old apartment…

Though I didn't see anything familiar, it made me kind of mad.

I'm glad I took all the personal stuff with me like pictures and such… I hope no one else found my car.

Those guys Drew and Jake saw it but I really hoped they didn't take anything.

"Anyway, you guys need guns and food right?" Imogen walked to her bed and bent down to look under it. She dug out two shiny pistols and gently laid them on her bed.

"I would give you something bigger, but I need those bad boys for myself." She said, pointing under the bed.

Eli shrugged and ran a finger over the sleek, black gun. "These should be fine. Hopefully we won't have to use them. Right, Clare?"

"Mhmm." I answered tiredly. Can we leave now?

Imogen then walked to the fridge and opened it. The whole thing was dead so she was using it as a pantry. She pulled five cans of tomato soup and peanut butter.

Yummy.

Eli took them , handing some to me. "Thanks so much, Imogen. We really owe you."

I almost rolled her eyes. Eli owed her. Not me. I didn't even want to come here.

Imogen glanced at me, "You two really shouldn't be roaming the streets like this."

"Well, this will be our last time travelling across Degrassi. Trust me. It's getting more and more dangerous by the hour." Eli said.

Imogen shrugged, "Just wait a few months or so. All those starving people out there will die out and we will own this place again."

My stomach dropped. How could she be so… harsh about this? Yeah, it was the truth but… I sulked.

Eli didn't say anything and his face was blank so I couldn't really make out his thoughts on it all.

"Well thank you," I lied, grabbing one of the two guns with my free hand, "But we should get going."

Imogen shook her head, "With all that merchandise in your hands? Yeah right. Just stay here until sun down. It's better to walk these streets at night."

I groaned in annoyance, "Ugh, I told you that Eli!"

He looked back at me, "Because it's true! Less people during the day."

Imogen put her hands up, "Fine. Do what you want. But people will see you holding guns and food during the day. And by people I mean Fitz and Friends."

Eli exhaled, thinking, "You have a point. Okay, we'll leave at sun down."

I wanted to slam my head against a wall and scream out in frustration. I wanted to go. Like now. I can't stand being away from my van… and being in the same room with these two.

I set down the cans and gun and slumped on Imogen's couch. Might as well take a nap.
