Yeah I know I'm adding a bunch of new cats, but it is necessary if this story is going to be drawn out. It's a pity that in Darkest Hour, there were only two BloodClan cats in the allegiances. Erin Hunter(owns Warriors) admits that she never really considered the backstory for Scourge until after publishing it. Don't worry, most of these new cats will probably die anyway.

"I look forward to seeing where these new recruits end up going," Bone mewed to Blizzard, dipping his head but still keeping an eye on the big white tom. He wasn't sure what he had seen in the big cat's eyes before, but it was gone now. Had he imagined it? "I want you to report their progress to Snipe at the end of each day."

Blizzard nodded to him. "I'll make sure to remember. Long live Bone!"

Bone limped away, leaving the big cat alone with the crowd of housecats and rogues. He would make sure to tell Snipe to keep an eye on him. He couldn't be having uprising in his regrowing Clan.

Behind him he could hear Blizzard's loud roar. "Now let's see if you can copy that move Bone used! You there, you're putting too much weight on your hind paws!"

He sincerely hoped he wouldn't have to exile the big cat; he was great with the newbies. He left the old housefolk building and made his way back towards his dumpster. The fight with Blizzard had left him sore and he needed to get his paw checked out.

That reminded him. He still needed to figure out a way to heal his cats after battles. So often it seemed that tiny infected cuts slew his cats faster than enemy claws. He would need to discuss that with Snipe also.

He padded to the end of the alley and onto the side of the road. There were never many housefolk riding in their loud machines on this street. He looked both ways, waiting for a gap. He crossed quickly.

The next cat he needed to check on went by the name of Frost. A clever little gray and white she cat with more than her fair share of attitude. She and her sister Chill had used to work with him when it came to naming cat under Scourge's rule, but now that Bone was too busy as leader, and Chill had died in the battle against the forest cats, Frost had taken over the duty by herself.

He slipped into a other alley, hissing at a couple of smelly housefolk as he passed. The last stop of the day before he went back to his dumpster to sleep was in this house. The only issue was, there was still a housefolk living there. Frost said she received all the benefits from living with a housefolk, but was still free to come out whenever she wanted.

He turned onto the street were Frost lived. Her place was the first one on the left. It wasn't a big house but it had a large lawn behind it. That's were she did her naming of new members. He padded around the den and onto the lawn.

"To be a true cat of BloodClan, you must have a true BloodClan name. I bet all of your parents just named you the first things that popped into their heads."

Bone padded onto the lawn were the gray and white she cat stood before half a dozen scruffy BloodClan members. A towering brown and white guard stood by her side.

"Greetings, Frost," he mewed, catching her attention. She wasn't a big cat, but the three long scars on her flank and the collar studded with trophies proved she was not afraid to show her teeth. "I came to make sure naming was going well."

Frost turned to him. "Of course it is going well!" she growled, her tail flicking in agitation. "All I do is give these useless piles of fur better titles. It's entertaining, but it's not that dangerous of a job."

Bone narrowed his eyes. Though she often rubbed his fur the wrong way, it was still refreshing to see a cat not afraid to show her true self. Most cats just stood at attention and dipped their heads in respect whenever he was around. "Excellent. Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind giving me a demonstration of the process."

Frost snorted, but didn't complain. "You there, come forward and let me get a better look at you. "Move quickly, I don't have all day!"" She gestured with her tail at the pale ginger tom. Bone noticed his collar only had two small teeth sticking out of it. He must be trying to become a guard. "What is your name?"

The ginger tom padded forward nervously. "My name is Sunny. I want to become a member of the guard."

Frost's disapproving amber gaze swept over the ginger cat, her eyes taking in the scruffy fur and small toothed collar. She turned to the huge brown and white cat beside her. "What do you think, Titus? What is a better name for Sunny?"

Titus was one of the few cats bigger than Bone himself, and a high ranking member of BloodClan. Part of his tail was missing and in addition to his battered red collar was a shoulder harness. Bone had seen housecats walking with their housefolk with similar things wrapped around their backs and chests. Of course, Titus had the whole thing studded with teeth. Not the brightest cat, but he was very good at what he did.

"Make them fight and see if they deserve their new names," Titus growled, his amber eyes flicking from Sunny to the other cats that stood in a line behind the ginger tom. He gestured to a black and white she cat who stood at attention. "You. State your name?"

The black and white cat stepped forward to stand beside Sunny, her huge green eyes serious. Her collar had what looked like bird talons sticking out of it along with a few feathers. She was obviously resourceful which was exactly what BloodClan was looking for for in its cats. "They call me Owl, sir."

Frost flicked her tail for the other surrounding cats in the grass to step back. "Sunny and Owl, demonstrate your fighting skills on each other and we will decide what you new names shall be. Try not to get too much blood on my housefolk's lawn."

Bone stepped back, giving them room. A cat's title should only be as good his combat skills. He approved of this method of naming.

Owl and Sunny faced each other, Sunny's tail twitching in discomfort, but Owl measuring her opponent with fierce precision.

"Fight!"

At Titus's word, the two cats leapt at each other. Sunny had the size advantage but Owl was faster. With a screech like that of a bird of prey, she slipped beneath the ginger cat and raked her claws across his belly, sliding out of the way as Sunny crashed down hard into the grass.

Sunny yowled in pain as blood oozed from his belly. He tried to get to his paws, but his legs gave way beneath him. Owl bunched her hindlegs, ready to deliver another blow.

"Enough." Frost raised her tail for them to stop fighting. "Sunny, that was disappointing to say the least. You want to become a member of the guard?" She made a harsh sound that sounded like a mix between a shriek and a purr. Bone realized it was laughter. "Owl and Sunny, you are both worthy of your given names. Now, somebody take this messy pile of fur away. He's ruining the lawn."
