Author's Note: I learned today that coffee makes me shaky and I can't really drink all that much of it. That makes me sad. Also. That box down there. Put something in it. Please.

Disclaimer: I really don't own Naruto. I swear.

"Hey, are you going to each lunch with us today?" I looked behind me and saw Sakura standing with Tenten and Hinata next to the tree in the lobby. Tenten had pizza, like she almost always did, while Sakura and Hinata had what looked to be a rice pilaf of sorts.

"Nah, I'm going to eat back in my dorm today." We just got in a new delivery of deluxe ramen, with the dried vegetables and everything. I'm fully prepared to take advantage of that. Plus, even though detention sucked, the dorm is nearly spotless. Well, that's a slight over statement but it's pretty comfortable to be in now, despite the fact that I still have bruises on my knees from all the scrubbing I ended up doing. Those damn textured tiles.

~An Unexpected Coffee Break~

"Oh wait, before you leave, the three of us are going dress shopping after school. There's a little boutique," I hate that word, it's so prissy, "in town that sells formal dresses." Sakura had stepped forward slightly to catch my attention. "Would you like to tag along?"

"Dresses for what? Why do I need a dress?" I'm not blowing a hundred dollars on a dress so I can prance around the house and feel like a princess. Okay, so maybe I would, but not now. Sakura raised an eyebrow at me like I had asked a stupid question.

"For the dance...?" Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that.

"Oh that, uh..." I thought about it for a moment. "Why so early though, it's only the beginning of October?" It was a bit early, normally I'd save something like that for the last minute, like probably the night before. Alright, that's probably a bad idea, but three months? Feels a bit excessive to me.

"Why not? I mean you're basically guaranteed to get the best dresses in the house." I pondered on it before Tenten interjected.

"Plus! There's a restaurant with some amazing ramen!" She dragged out the last word in her sentence in an attempt to entice me. It worked.

"Alright. I'm in." I put my hands on my hips, "When do we leave?"

"We'll catch the first bus into town, sound good?" I nodded. Sakura put a finger up to her lip and thought for a moment before continuing, "Alright, meet us at the bus stop at quarter past four."

"Okay, see you there." I'm really looking forward to that ramen, I need something non-instant for a change. I did a few quick calculations of how much allowance I had saved up. I should have enough, plus, Mom gave me some money for decorating my room, I'm sure I can use some of that if I need to. I pushed through the large glass doors and walked outside. The leaves were midway changing to their bright autumn colors. Some were still holding onto their chlorophyll with desperation. In a week or so it's definitely going to be real pretty out here.

The air was beginning to chill slightly, winter was fast approaching. I hope it's not a cold one this year. I pulled up the zipper of my worn maroon hoodie. The pockets had holes, and the sleeves were worn out enough that they were starting to turn pink, but it was comfortable enough. Unfortunately though, the sky was over cast and there was a strong breeze. Hopefully it doesn't rain. I walked along the path before I stopped at the bulletin board near the entrance. There were fliers advertising clubs, sports, volunteer work and extra curricular activities. As if school here isn't enough. One caught my eye, though. There was a bright orange flier with thick black lettering advertising the annual Halloween party. According to the flier, a costume was mandatory as well. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun. I'll have to shop around for a costume though.

"Are you going to the Halloween party?" My ears perked up, there were some day students behind me talking loudly amongst themselves.

"Of course! If we're lucky we can see Sasuke in a costume!" I could physically hear one of them swoon. That's enough of that for today. I turned back towards the path and walked towards my building. I turned up and was walking by the old soccer field when I heard Ino talking to herself. I looked up ahead and saw her holding something to her ear.

"Yeah, yeah, I know just-" She was gabbing away on her cell phone "Hold on, let me call you back." She made eye contact with me and flipped her phone shut and stuffed it into her purse before smirking and crossing my path. She held an open cup of what seemed to be coffee in her right hand, and grasped the strap on her purse with her left. I have a bad feeling about this.

"What's little Miss Yoshizawa doing here?" Her voice was saccharine and she gave me a fake smile. She was wearing her trademark high heels with a pair of skinny jeans, and a dark purple blouse. I tried to step around her and she just blocked me. Not this again.

"Come on Miss Yamanaka," I mimicked the way she said my last name. Man she gets on my nerves. "Just let me through, alright? I'm not trying to get in your way, so can you please stay out of mine?" She smirked a bit.

"I guess I can do that." She shrugged me off and walked forward towards me. That went easier than expected. "Oops." She held out the arm holding her cup of coffee as she walked into me and it all spilled down the front of my shirt and sweatshirt. Oh, son of a bitch. Today is not my day.

"What the hell is your problem?" I started shouting at her and tried to squeegee the excess coffee off my shirt. It's mocha. I hate mocha. It was barely lukewarm and instantly soaked through my 3 layers of clothing. It's going to be a pain in the ass to wash this out.

"I don't have any problems." Bullshit, her voice was as fake as ever. "It was an accident, couldn't you tell?" She giggled to herself a bit.

"Really?" I rolled up my sleeves. "Oh just wait until I get my hands on your pretty little-" I had just started to walk towards her when someone grabbed me by the waist and pulled me back.

"Whoa, calm down Firecracker." I whipped my head around and saw Deidara staring at Ino. "She's not worth the effort, hm. Trust me." He paused for a moment. His hands were still on my waist and he pulled back a bit, confused. "I smell chocolate." He sniffed the air and looked down at me briefly and saw the giant coffee stain. "Oh." He dropped his hands to his side.

"Yeah." I turned around to face Ino "Just wait 'till I'm done with you!" I balled up my hands and started to walk towards her, again, I was held back.

"Wow, you don't listen. I just said not to bother with her." I turned around quickly and gave him the stink eye. "All you're going to do is get yourself in trouble, and I'm not bailing you out, hm." I turned back towards Ino who had a hand resting on her hip.

"Yeah Miharu, maybe you should listen to your boyfriend." I smacked my hand into my forehead. She's definitely asking for it. This is how my life ends. I get the electric chair because I stabbed someone to death with a ballpoint pen. I started to reach into my bag.

"Look Ino, get a hobby, all you do is bitch and moan. Doesn't that get boring, hm?" Great. Now I have him standing up for me. Way to boost my confidence.

"Whatever." She furrowed her brow for a moment, struggling to think of a response. She took out her cellphone angrily and started tapping away at the keypad as she walked away. "Just stay out of my way, I won't say it again." She called out without looking back. Looks like Deidara has made it onto Ino's hit list. I watched her walk the rest of the way towards her dorm, ensuring she didn't change her mind and lunge at me with her acrylic nails. That would definitely leave a mark. I started shivering as the breeze blew, quite violently.

"Dammit. This is my only sweatshirt." I tried to wipe more coffee off and I looked behind at Deidara "I didn't need your help, you know." I crossed my arms and cringed slightly as the coffee pressed against my chest. "I can handle myself. I had it under control."

"No you didn't, you were about to rip her face off." He raised an eyebrow in disbelief.

"So? She deserves it." He sighed and started rustling in his bag. He pulled out a wadded up black hoodie.

"Here, you can borrow it. Don't get any more coffee on it though, yeah."

"I don't need your help."

"Alright, suit yourself." I averted my gaze and started to walk back towards the dorm, I assume Deidara was only a couple of feet behind me. When I got to the front door, I pushed my key in and twisted it. I opened the door and threw my bag on the floor and began searching through my boxes for some clean clothes. I grabbed an old t-shirt and a clean bra and went up to the bathroom to wipe myself off. I dumped my shirt, sweatshirt and coffee soaked bra into the sink and filled it up with some water and hand soap, hopefully that helps. It probably won't. I washed myself off with some water and a washcloth. I changed into the t-shirt I brought up and looked into the mirror. Normally I would save this for a PJ shirt, that's how big and ill-fitting it was, but I didn't have time to be picky. I hopped down the stairs and saw Deidara on the couch, stuffing his face with noodles. He gets any noodle juice on my couch, and it's off with his head. I paused midway on the stairs for a moment. Ugh, my dignity.

"Hey, could I borrow that sweatshirt actually?" I cringed as the words left my mouth. I hate asking for help.

"Nope." He slurped some more at his noodles.

"What do you mean 'nope'?"

"I said, 'Nope.' You didn't want my help." I crossed my arms.

"Oh screw you!" I grabbed my bag and walked out of the building in a huff. Ugh, I forgot lunch. I'm not going back in there. I slammed the door behind me and walked into someone.

"The fuck are you doing here?" I ran my fingers through my hair, I'm not repeating that story. Too much work.

"I was going to get lunch, but," I thought for a split second, "Blondie in there is getting on my nerves."

"You're not the only one." I raised an eyebrow at him, but apparently he didn't notice. "You wanna join me?" He held up a paper plate holding a few slices of pizza. I'm getting really sick of pizza, but I'm too hungry to care.

"Absolutely." I nearly started drooling when the smell of sauce and cheese reached my nose. I followed close behind him and he simply just walked off the path and behind our dorm. "That's it? No interesting secluded places?" He raised an eyebrow when he heard me say secluded.

"Well if it's secluded you want then-" I really need to watch my mouth around him.

"No, that's alright, this is fine." He smirked at me. We sat against the back wall of the dorm. It was completely devoid of windows, and looked a bit odd to be honest. Kind of unbalanced with all of the windows lining the second floor. I kicked my feet out in front of me and pulled a piece of pizza off Hidan's plate and started eating it. I still felt kind of junky about Ino.

"So, how's your day going?" I looked at him as he finished chewing the crust of one piece. Hm, fast eater.

"Eh, same shit different day. It's all boring as fuck." He shrugged and scratched at his t-shirt. It's a damn good thing we have a dress code here. "You?" He took another bite of his pizza and looked at me as he chewed.

"Not much, ran into Ino. She dumped coffee on me. That wasn't too fun." He looked at me and stopped chewing for a moment before swallowing what was in his mouth. I finished off my piece of pizza, with the mocha that's still floating around in my nose, I wasn't really in the mood to eat.

"That sucks. That bitch is always doing shit like that." Well, that doesn't exactly make me feel any better. "She's always doing shit to make me miserable, it's damn annoying." Hidan talked about the several occasions that where Ino butted in and annoyed him. I still couldn't shake off the coffee incident.

"I don't know, I still feel kind of threatened by it." I shrugged a bit and looked down at my hands resting in my lap.

"Well that's fucking crazy. It's not like she can do any worse than that." My mouth flattened out. I suppose I was hoping for a bit more consolation than that. Hopefully hanging out with Tenten, Sakura and Hinata will help.
