His lungs were on fire, and his legs were turning into Jell-O. Dipper felt as if he's been running for hours, though only a few minutes. He could feel his heart racing like a motor, fear squeezing ahold of his gut. Knowing he couldn't just lead David to the Mystery Shack, so in an act of courage he changed direction and headed down the mountain to try and draw the demon away from home.
Stanley pulled his truck up, him and Stanford stepping out to see the destruction. They watched in horror as the pyramid shaped, silver machine spun it's opened arms. Sapphire spheres were on each arm of the machine, glowing as they gained power. The wind picked up and building and trees began to fly through the air, everything speeding in a circle around the machine. The machine's arms slowly began to raise up to the sky.
"Grunkle Stan?" Mabel called out as she stepped out of the truck. "What are going to do?"
Stanford took a moment to look around at the town, seeing all the destruction. How could he answer that question? He didn't have an answer to that question. The town was already a mess. Building either on fire or speeding through the air. Broken telephone lines, with electricity sending tiny bolts of electricity into the air.
"Mabel sweetie…" Stanford began to say. "I don't know."
Lifting a huge plasma gun, Stanly walked away from the truck. "Stanly get you a gun out of the back of the truck." He told his brother. "I have a feeling we might be fighting something."
Mabel starred at her grandfather, the ashes from the fires flying passed them like grey flurries of snow. Shaking her head, she felt the tear swell up in her eyes. Gripping her left arm, she let out a cry, not wanting to believe the nightmare going on around her. Stanford set his hand on her head, running his fingers through her brown flowing hair.
"Sweetheart, I know you're scared, but we can't give up because of fear." HE explained to her. "If we give up we will die."
"I know." She said looking up, gazing upon the killer machine. "I need to find my brother."
"Dipper?" Her grandfather said. "That's a good question, has anyone seen him?"
Wiping a tear away, Mabel turned around. "No, but I'm going to find him." And with that she took off running back into the woods.
"Mabel!" Stanly called out. "You don't even know where he is!"
"She's his twin." Stanford stated. "She'll know."
Dipper was running out of energy at this point, he's been running for so long his lungs had practically turned into paper. Due to his overwhelming fear, he was to terrified to look behind him to see where David was or how close he was getting. 'Should I summon Bill?' He thought. 'No, there wouldn't be enough time. David would get to me by then.' Due to him being lost in thought he tripped over the roof of a tree, sending him barreling down the hill. Dipper ran into rocks, scraping his skin and creating bruises across his body. Landing, he slowly sat up as he tried to shake off the pain. His heart almost stopped as he looked up; David hovering above him with a sadistic grin carved across his pale face.
"Good-bye boy." The demon hissed, shooting a beam of energy at him.
Dipper thought quick and rolled over to dodge it before getting up and running yet again. "If you want me, you've gotta catch me!"
"My pleasure." David growled before chasing after his human target.
Mabel made it into the middle of the forest, smoke from the burning town was already filtering in. Coughing from it, she grabbed a stick and began making the marks into the ground to summon Bill. She knew that demon was out there and if Gideon was going to fight with his Demon, they were going to fight along side theirs. Once drawn out, she stood up, backing away from the markings so she could speak the incantation.
'Veneforis dom-" She began to cough from the smoke. "Dominus Ven-v-ventium."
She could feel the thick smoke enter her lungs, as it covered the land around her in a thick blanket of dark ash.
"Ven-" She tried to catcher her breath. "Veneforis… Venetisarium.." After that she fainted onto the ground.
The wind blew, and the trees danced along with the wind which began to blow away the smoke. As time froze the dancing trees came to a halt, frozen in place. The falling ash also froze, like tiny specks of glitter hovering in the air. A bright blue light shined as the yellow triangle appeared, looking down at the girl.
"Who dares summon m-" The demon cut himself off as he saw the girl laying on the ground. Blue magic surrounded his body, turning him into his human form. Darting down to her, he held her head in his arms. "Shooting star?!" Bill asked in a panic. "Shooting star?" He could feel his heart drop as she didn't answer. "MABEL!?"
Quickly Bill set his lips on her as he breathed air into her, then coming back up and pushed his palms on her diaphragm repeatedly in a steady rhythm. Tears slid down his cheeks as he desperately tried and tried again to breathe life into her. Thankfully after a few tries, Mabel awoke coughing loudly.
"Mabel!" Bill shouted in relief as he drug her into a hug. "Thank the gods you are okay."
Mabel left the hug and looked up at him, her eyes still stained from her tears. "Bill… "
"Mabel, what's wrong?'
"The machine… Gideon did it… as Dipper feared. The towns being destroyed… it's gaining power as we speak."
Horror filled Bill as she spoke those words, and he was pissed. "Mabel no worries, I promise to fix this."
Mabel smiled and stood up. "Thank you, Bill, you are already like a cool older brother to me." The weak girl spoke. "Now, I've got to go find my brother. Hopefully alive."
Standing back up as well, Bill nodded and set his hand on her cheek. "No more crying shooting star, now go find my pine tree and tell him I love him and I will see him after I fix all this." He explained. "Something I should have fixed five hundred years ago."
Nodding Mabel smiled before turning around and ran off to continue her search for her brother.
Making it mostly down the mountain, Dipper runs into Gideon whom was there to stop him from escaping.
"I'm sorry pines boy, but today is the day you FINALLY die!" Gideon cheered as David caught up.
Dipper looked at Gideon before laughing. "What's wrong Gideon? Can't take me on yourself?"
"I don't need to." The spoiled boy replied. "I've got a demon for that. Where is your demon, did he give up on you?"
Before Dipper could answer, Mabel found them and threw a rock at Gideon's head. "I am so sick and tired of you, Gideon!" The pissed off girl yelled as she walked over to him. "You don't understand what you are doing, you are destroying the world! What is going to happen to you when there is no world left for you to return to?"
Gideon laughed. "That world is where you don't love me Mabel." Gideon relied. "So, I don't care if im able to return to this rotten world or not."
"That's the reason!?" She screamed. "That is the reason you're destroying the world!? You spoiled brat!"
Gideon scoffed. "I could kill you!"
With a flick of his wrist he went to levitate Mabel into the air, but Dipper pushed her out of the way. Not caring, Gideon slammed Dipper into a tree, shredded bark cutting along his face.
"Dipper!" Mabel screamed, and from very far away Bill heard her scream and was already on his way there.
Dipper stood up, holding his arm that was dripping blood from bark stabbing into it. His sister stood in front of him, anger in her eyes.
"Dipper, you draw David away and find Bill." She told him. "Leave Gideon to me." Looking back at him, she smiled. "I'll be okay bro bros, you just take care of your part."
Leaving his sister behind was the last thing Dipper wanted, but he'd rather her deal with Gideon than David. With no choice, he nodded and took off running, David following behind him.
"It's just you and me Gideon!" The young lady yelled to him. "So lets talk, tell me all reasons why you are so mad."
Using the Bracelet of Faith, he slung her into the air and slammed her into the ground. Though before he could continue he hear someone step up behind him. Gideon turned around to see Bill glaring down at him.
"Gideon…" Bill hissed, his yellow tint slowly fading into red. "I'm going to rip out your soul!"
Gasping, Gideon tried to run but bill used his powers to float him into the air.
"No running." Bill growled. "You are getting exactly what you deserve."
Pulling the boy to him, he shoved his hand right through Gideon's gut. Gideon's eyes widened, and blood dripped down his mouth, Bill looking into his eyes with no remorse. In a quick motion he ripped out his guts, watching as his flesh spilled onto the ground. He laughed demonically as he held his intestines in his hand. Looking up at the gruesome sight, Mabel screamed.
"Bill, I know what he did was wrong but killing the kid isn't the answer!" She called out to him in tears. "Please, you're just angry. Don't be your old self Bill."
Hearing Mabel's cries snapped Bill back into reality, and his magical haze went from red back to yellow and his eyes from black to sapphire blue once again. Without a second thought, Bill returned the spoiled boy his intestines and healed his wounds. After setting the fainted Gideon on the ground, he took the Bracelet of Faith and tossed it to Mabel.
"Here, keep this for protection." Bill said. "I'm going after David, you got Dipper?"
Mabel frowned. "Bill… Dipper is running from David."
His heart sank yet again. "What?" Bill immediately went into fiancé mode. "He's after Dipper!?"
Mabel nodded. "Yes." She then pointed in the direction they ran.
Bill looked in the direction, his eyes glowing bright blue. "David… " He growled. "I'm going to crush your soul into pieces."
Down in town, the stan twins were watching as monsters began to rain down from the sky. All kinds of monsters, witch sharp demonic teeth.
"Knew it." Stanly said as he turned his gun on. "Get ready."
Following his brother, Stanford nodded. "Ready."
Monsters began to rip the buildings into pieces and chase any human. They both ran toward them, shooting them down one by one.
"Eat plasma you ugly fuckers!" Stanford yelled out. "You're killing all my customers!"
"That's what your worried about?' Stanly asked as he shot his gun. "Customers?"
"What else would I be worried about?"
Stanly stopped and glared at his brother. "Do I even have to answer that question?'
Stanford laughed. "I was just kidding, Stanly, take a joke."
Sighing Stanly took off running, walking over a car he back flipped shooting a monster in the head before landing on his feet and shooting another. "Just keep it up Stanford!"
"Don't you worry about me." Stanford said as he shot a monster but missed. "Shit I hate these." He gripped and used the gun to hit the monster beside the head. "Much more effective for me."
Dipper was beginning to slow down, he simply didn't have enough energy left. His lungs were burning, and he couldn't breathe. 'Fuck.' He thought. 'I can't… go anymore.' Out of strength, Dipper fell over on his knees. He looked up to see David walking up to him.
"That's a good human… give up." David told Dipper as he reached his arm out toward him. "Now die," A large energy ball shot out of his palm and was headed toward Dipper. Before it could hit Dipper, Bill appeared behind him, sending the energy ball into another dimension.
"I'm done warning you David…" Bill growled. "This time I won't let you live."
