Chibiusa got up from the bed. It seemed as if she hadn't seen it in years. The pastel pink covers now surrounding her were a refreshing change from the plain sheets she found herself in at Elysian. Elysian, Chibiusa thought, reflecting on her recent time there. Helios had moved on. With that thought, the pastel covers lost their warmth and Chibiusa felt her heart falling with every memory.

Being Helios' beloved was Chibiusa's most prized position. Despite being the most powerful princess in the solar system, nothing made her chest swell with pride as being told that Helios loved her. No bejeweled throne was as comfortable as the priest's arms. Within the last days, Chibiusa had lost that.

Without much thought, the princess flung her legs off the large bed that she had recently returned to. Not bothering to wonder what had even happened and how she had gotten there. The only thing in her mind was that she lost the most important thing to her. I guess Mom was right, we weren't meant to be together. Chibiusa thought as she gave a small pitiful laugh, her eyes devoid of emotion. Chibiusa found herself on her balcony, the Elysian rose garden stretching out miles below it. The princess thought of destroying it for a moment, knowing it would only bring her pain. If she had her powers, it probably would have been turned to dust. Not knowing what to do with herself, Chibiusa stared out onto her kingdom, noting that everything felt less important now.

"PRINCESS!" The asteroid senshi rushed into the bedroom, their speed causing the light pink and blue curtains to fly about.

"Princess! Are you alright?" Cere-Cere came to the small lady's side as the rest of the Senshi came in, followed by the Queen and King. Cere-Cere touched the princess' arm, trying to elicit a response from the spaced out girl.

Chibiusa snapped out of her trance when she felt pain in her arm. She soon realized that the pain radiated everywhere. She jerked away from her senshi, staring at her. "I'm hurt." The princess stated, not knowing if she hurt more physically than emotionally. All of a sudden the reality of her injuries came crashing down and the young princess blacked out in the arms of her friend.

"All we know is that Small Lady was taken and returned in terrible shape." Minako stated at the table. She was currently discussing with Lita and Rei. The King and Queen along with Ami were busy monitoring the princess' condition in the medical wing.

Lita smashed her fist down. "Terrible doesn't describe it. She's not herself now, in addition to her injuries it's like she lost her spirit. They did something more to her and we don't know enough to help!"

Rei felt her friend's frustration, they truly wanted to help the princess. Her injuries had been healed and the Queen had postponed the ball, hoping that the Princess would return to her cheery self and that the issue at hand would be resolved soon, however, the moon kingdom had found itself at a loss. Since Chibiusa's abduction, the enemy hasn't appeared at all. It was a confusing mess and everyone was anxious to see what would happen next. "We're sitting ducks." Rei added. "The powerful Senshi have been reduced to dam water fowl."

"Let's just put our main focus on the princess right now, she's in bad shape." Minako nodded.

"Your Highnesses." Mareon bowed after walking into the medical wing. "I think I have a way of helping the princess."

It wasn't that the princess was physically injured anymore. Ami had said that she had made a full recovery since appearing in her bedroom. However, the young royal seemed to have fallen into a deep depression. She slept most of the days away, sometimes allowing tears to fall from her dull burgundy eyes, which were once a ruby red. Chibiusa barley held conversation. Mostly only nodding to yes and no questions. The King even asked Mercury to check and see if this was his daughter.

The pair looked up from their daughter to their newly hired knight. "And what is that?" The King asked.

"It appears that the remainder of the princesses' injuries are emotional. Quite dreadful at that." The man spoke. "I can remove the memories that caused this to take place. Therefore it would be as if the damage had never been dealt."

"Do you believe so?" The Queen questioned, once more looking at her daughter who was currently sleeping. "We've tried almost everything on her. We will have to give your idea some thought."

Another week had passed and there was no improvement in the princess.

The ball had been pushed back another week. The people of the kingdom become antsy. Wondering why there was no sign of an enemy, their princess, or the annual ball.

Queen Usagi knew that they could not sit still anymore. Despite constant work, they have failed to find anything about the Princess' abductor "Nightmare". And the princess seemed to seep further into her depression. Usagi remembered Ami explaining that something had caused Chibiusa extreme mental stress and that her mind seems to have shut down, saving her from dealing with it. The only option the Queen had was to erase the memories causing this to chibiusa. However, there was the chance of erasing any information of the enemy as well. Usagi found herself going to Pluto for advice.

"You're Highness." The emerald haired senshi said at Usagi's entrance. "You have come to me concerning Small Lady yes?"

Usagi looked at her longtime guardian. "Yes, I know you have your restrictions, however I know you love Chibiusa too. Can you help me?"

"All I can tell you is that the decision you make will be a crucial one for Chibiusa and it has the ability to drastically change the future. This enemy has planted its seeds before all of this, Small Lady being the target. She has the ability to be more powerful than anyone within the solar system. Right now they are preventing that process. That is all I can say your highness."

"Thank you Pluto." The Queen gave a sad smile to the Guardian of Time, knowing that the both of them feared for Chibiusa's future.
