I awoke to the orange sky. It really was a beautiful sunset. Wait, sunset!? I slept that late!? I'm shocked; I thought Sebastian would find me by now for sure! The cat stirred and jumped off my lap as I sat up. I looked around real quick to check and see if anyone was around then I stood up and picked up something white that caught my eye. It was a slip of paper, the slip of paper. This thing sure made its way around. I smiled and shoved it in my pocket as I headed for the house.

Once inside, I had just yawned when suddenly I was tackled to the ground.

"Wha-?!"

"We caught you, yes we did!"

"That prize is to be mine!"

"Hello, Kitt, I need you!"

You could probably guess who said what, but, just to clarify, it was May-Rin, Bard, and then Finni.

We were all lying on the ground, me on the bottom and, just in case you didn't figure this out, them on the top. And they were crushing me!

"Uh… I'd love to help… But can you get off of me? I can't breathe…" I gasped, trying to pry them off and salvage my dying lungs. They sat up, I panted. "You" Pant "Guys" Pant "Have" Pant "No" Pant "Idea" Pant "How" Pant "Heavy" Pant "You" Pant "Are."

While they sat there on the floor staring at me, I laid there completely sprawled out on the floor gasping for air.

I suddenly noticed that there was a tall threatening presence in the doorway.

"You managed to avoid work all day!" The three of them all said in different tones. I didn't pay attention to them as I looked at the shadowed person. There was a murderous intent in the atmosphere and, truth be told, I was slightly scared.

"Yes, you did. I would congratulate you but, you won't be celebrating in a few moments." Sebastian's voice echoed throughout the room.

I sweat dropped. I was no longer was scared. This was rather entertaining. The three stooges looked frozen with fear. I smiled.

"And what are you going to do? Bite me? Hit me? Make me clean? Good luck with all that."

A look of confusion entered his face and the stooges looked completely shell shocked. Sebastian pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "The three of you get back to work. I'm going to have a word with Kitt."

I smirked as they left the room. Bard looked back at me and held up a sign. It read:

We will go get Young Master. Try to survive until we get back.

They all looked at me to make sure I understood. I nodded my head in thanks. Even though I knew I wouldn't need their help, I loved that I now had friends like them.

Once he was sure they were out of earshot, Sebastian began to speak.

"What are you up to?" He accused.

I grinned. "Wouldn't you like to know."

He raised an eyebrow. "I sure would."

"Fair enough." I shrugged. "I'm not worried because I know your soft spot."

An amused look formed on his face. "Whatever do you mean?"

"I mean the reason you didn't attack me at the tree…" I pulled out the slip of paper. "Is because you have a soft spot for cats." I grinned at the slackness of his jaw and the slight blush that colored his otherwise white cheeks. "It seems that black cat is a regular visitor. It would be a shame if it started to hate you because you killed its new favorite person." I taunted. He simply stared.

There was an awkward silence for the next couple of minutes. But suddenly I had an Idea. My face grew solemn.

"Hey, Sebastian…?"

"Yes?" He replied in his regular tone. I looked away, not wanting to meet his eyes when I asked this.

"What do you know about me? Like, who I am, what I am?"

He replied quickly, almost too quickly. "Absolutely nothing. Not who you are or what you are. Everything I know, you know."

"Liar." I grumbled. I didn't realize what I said until it was too late. I had tears in my eyes as a vision came, although I saw nothing at first. I heard a scream and realized it was me, but not the me now, but the me then. Then there was a loud Earth shattering bang and I saw a quick flash of the land. It looked like the Earth was liquid and a giant wave shook the ground. It was a crater. My vision zoomed in on the crater and there was a body engulfed in flames lying in its center. There were no hints as to who it was, but it unnerved me and raised a question that I knew Sebastian could answer.

The vision faded and I saw Sebastian holding me, like a baby. Normally I would shove him off and say something rude or goofy, but not this time. No, this time I would get an answer. I looked up at him tears in my eyes. He looked down at me a strange expression on his face.

"What is it?" He finally asked rather quietly.

I shrugged my way out of his embrace and stood directly in front of him. I didn't look at his face, instead, I stared at his jacket's buttons right in front of me.

"You lied. There is something you know that I don't. I thought you weren't a liar." His eyes widened.

"Whatever do you mean?" He asked, a little too innocently. That's it. I had had enough.

...

What happened? A couple of seconds ago we were joking and having, dare I say, fun. But everything changed so suddenly.

First, her eyes went blank and she just kind of stood there, her eyes utterly lifeless and blank. Then, she just went limp. I managed to catch her before she hit the ground, but I still didn't have faintest idea what was happening to her.

She had just woken up and was calling me a liar.

That's when things started to go downhill.

...

I stopped just as I was about to open the door. The servants had just came to get me because Sebastian was about to kill Kitt. But, I wasn't so sure that was the case.

"Hey. Remove this painting." I said to the three of them. They all complied without a word.

I peeked through the hole in the wall and saw the back of Kitt and the face of Sebastian. He looked like he was stuck between a rock and a hard place, a new emotion for him.

Kitt caught my eye. She was starting to shake, violently.

And suddenly, she snapped.

...

I shook with rage. I felt like I was on fire. How dare he lie when he knew exactly what I needed to know!

"Don't you lie to me! I know you know something!" I stopped, took a deep breath, and continued, much calmer now. "Answer this. And I mean it. Where exactly did you find me?"

Sebastian just stood there.

Wrong move.

...

How many times has Sebastian scared someone witless? I can't think of a time when he didn't. But how many times has he been the one scared? I think that answer was never, that is, until now. I thought as I stared through the hole in the wall. Kitt was angry. I was scared and I wasn't even her target.

I could stop Sebastian if he was about to kill her, but now I doubt he could even scratch her. I have never seen someone so angry, with so much fire in their eyes. She is the complete opposite of me. While I gave up a long time ago and decided to drag everyone down with me, she is climbing her way up, enjoying the climb and, even if it is a losing battle, she is succeeding.

...

I looked into her eyes. They were glowing again. However, her hair wasn't possessed this time which should have made me relax, but it was more alarming.

Suddenly the glow left her eyes when tears slid down her face, only two, but that's all she needed. The tears glowed the same way her eyes had previously. I relaxed, as did she.

She walked up to me and I walked up to her. I wrapped my arms around her and she began to sob into my chest.

I looked down at her shaking frame. She may be powerful, but she was still scared. She wasn't scared of the world, no, that would be too easy.

She was scared of herself.

...

Kitt soon fell asleep, standing there. What a bizarre girl. After I was sure she wouldn't wake up, I shifted her weight so that I was carrying her bridal style. After I had a good grip on her, I called to Young Master.

"You can come in now."

He walked in after a slight hesitation.

"What happened?" He demanded almost immediately. I, having no choice but to answer truthfully, gave him an answer.

"The complete opposite of you." I answered. He froze at this statement. It seems as though he had thought the same thing.

"Well, goodnight, it seems as though I will have to put her to bed so it will be quite late by the time I get to you." I said dutifully. Young Master gave me scowl.

"Don't worry. I'll wake her up for the changing and such. I'll just help with the big stuff."

He seemed satisfied as he walked out of the room. I followed, heading in the other direction. Tonight was going to be a long night.

...

I filled a bucket with water and grabbed a rag. After I had done so, I went back into the guest room where Kitt was passed out on the bed. I dipped the rag in the warm water and rung it out. I wiped her face clean, making sure to get the tears. I had taken my gloves off, as to not get them wet, and my bare hand brushed over her skin. It was- soft. I shook myself out of my trance and pulled my hand away quickly, almost too quickly. I stood there for a second, staring at her sleeping face. She was pretty, funny, powerful, clumsy…. Perfect. I hate to admit this, but it's true. Why do I keep having these thoughts? Why does she have to get to me like this?

I sighed as I crept down the hall to her and May-Rin's room. I snuck into the room and to Kitt's bed. There sat the clean clothes I knew she hadn't bothered to put away. I grinned at the "Kitt-ness", this was so like her. I grabbed the clothes and snuck out.

Once I was back in the room, my jaw dropped. I might as well forget about her changing clothes. She was currently tangled up in the sheets with no hope of escaping their warm grasp. I wasn't gone that long. How did she-? Actually, I'd rather not know. I threw the clothes on the bedside table. I was going to get nothing done tonight involving her. I might as well leave, it doesn't matter. She's as stubborn asleep as she is awake. Wow.

I grabbed the sheets and tried to correct them, but she wouldn't let go. I narrowed my eyes in frustration and tugged harder. She held on tighter. I tugged harder. She held tight. Then, as I was about to tug it again, she did something surprising. She sneezed.

I jumped, letting go of the bed sheet. In turn, she nearly fell off the bed and on top of me. I managed to catch her with one hand, keeping her half on, half off the bed right above me. This was quite an interesting turn of events. Is she really asleep? Or is she playing with me?

I stared at her face with intensity, she didn't flinch nor falter. I sighed, pushing her all the way back on the bed, and stood up.

I turned towards the door but flinched when I heard the harsh coughs. I knew that sneeze was a bad sign. She was sick. And guess who would end up being her nurse? You guessed it. Me.

I sighed as I turned back around to face her. I walked over to the closet in the corner and pulled out an extra blanket. I threw it on top of her and it landed perfectly covering everything except her head. There, I'm back to perfection.

As I walked out of the door, I heard her body rack with coughs once again. I closed my eyes as I shut the door behind me.

...

I woke the next morning feeling like crap. My throat was sore, as were my limbs, my head was aching, my eyes wouldn't cooperate, my nose was stuffed full of crud, and I had an extreme thirst. It also seems as though my brain was clogged because I didn't realize I was in a strange room until there was a knock on the door.

I groaned a "Come in." And sat up when I saw a peek of black through the crack in the doorway.

And, man! Did I regret that!

...

Kitt sat up as soon as she saw me. Too quickly. I saw a quick flash of nausea pass through her eyes. She stood up and ran into the bathroom and, soon after, I heard the thunks and thuds of- Well, you know. She is sick after all.

She weakly walked to the bathroom's doorway. Leaning against the frame, she smiled pathetically.

"Yes?" She asked politely.

"Wow. You really are sick." I said rather meanly.

"Not in the mood nor health, Sebastian. What is it that you want?" She deadpanned, her face gaining a slight green color.

"Last night you seemed to be sick and I was just coming to take a quick check up to make sure you're not dead."

"Well, you can see I'm not dead. Now leave."

She really was trying to get rid of me.

"Well, I was also told to ask if you would be ready to travel in tomorrow."

"Now how am I supposed to know that?" She said a bit angrily.

I shrugged. "I'll take that as a yes."

I turned to leave before she could say anything. But her nausea returned before either I could leave or she could protest, and she ran into the bathroom to puke again. I left before she could say anything more.

After all, if she didn't come with us I wouldn't have any fun whatsoever.

...

The next few hours were spent head down, butt up in the toilet. I was seriously wondering when I ever ate this much. When would I run out? Please be soon.

Sucky thing is, everything was clogged, and that includes Soul Cover and any other "special" abilities. Sebastian appeared multiple times, but my brain was too clogged to keep count. Clogged. Clogged. Clogged. Clogged. Blah. Blah. Blah. I was sick. You get the point.

I eventually ran out of puke and headed down to the kitchen to test my luck with holding something down. I walked down the hall and, seeing my bag packed along with many others, I stopped.

"What's going on here?" I wondered aloud as I walked into the room, towards the bags. I thought and thought yet I came up with nothing.

"I'll just have to ask Sebastian." When I said his name, there was a monster pang in my chest. It honestly hurt, but it was so quick that I doubt it ever happened. But, what if it did? What did my body know that I didn't? What happened!? I began to panic internally as I forced my legs to move me towards the kitchen for some grub.

Now that I think about it, maybe grub isn't such a great idea. I lunged for the nearest pot.

...

What a repulsive odor. Who would ever want this in their house? I thought as I escorted to plant outside. It had the faint scent of Kitt, but that's probably just my imagination. Probably.

...

The day passed rather slowly and painfully. It sucks to be sick, seriously. And I passed out on my bed before the sun had completely set. Yes, I said "my bed" I haven't slept in it in… Honestly, I forgot the last time I slept in it.

Wait, wasn't there supposed to be something I was supposed to do tomorrow? What was it… Did it involve Sebastian? Of course it did. He makes it his job to be involved in everything.

If only I could just…

...

BANG! I sat up abruptly, startled by the sound. My door had slammed open, and in marched Bard and Finni like they owned the place, which, might I add, they don't. I groaned and my stomach did too. At least I wasn't sick anymore. But I sure was hungry! I also noted that my senses were still clogged but I could manage.

"You feeling better, Kitt?" Finni asked curiously.

"Of course she is! Didn't you hear that stomach growl?" Bard said, like it was some kind of big accomplishment.

"What she needs is some of Mr. Sebastian's delicious food, yes she does." Mey-Rin blushed at the mention of his name.

I smiled at the hilarity of the trio. It was nice that you could rely on them to always be the way they are, especially in this mixed up world of mine.

I rubbed my eyes, finally ready to get out of bed, when I was stopped. There, in the doorway, stood Sebastian holding a dress. A dress that there was no way I wasn't going to wear! It was totally perfect! I jumped out of bed and race to the doorway like a child on Christmas, but I stopped slightly short of running into him.

I didn't even look at him as I looked at the dress in amazement. It was black with white and blue diagonal stripes. It looked elegant, comfortable, and completely laid back all at the same time, which, by the way, it completely impossible for a dress.

I looked between Sebastian and the dress, silently pleading for it to be mine. He looked amused, and I could tell that it was mine and that he was going to pick at me for a while. So I decided to play too.

"It doesn't seem to be your size, so I'll just take that off your hands." I said, tugging on the dress slightly.

"Oh, but you think it's your size?" He retorted.

"You'll never know until I try." I said, trying to pry each finger off the hanger. Dang! He has a demon's grip- Oh yeah…

"You really like it that much?" Sebastian asked, the answer to which was completely obvious.

"Oh, come on!" I tried, looking up at Sebastian with puppy eyes.

"Why else would he bring a dress that small to this room?" I heard Bard remark.

"Excuse me?" I glared at him from the corner of my eye. "I believe I heard you wrong. Because I could have sworn you just called me small."

"Oh! That's because you are!" Finni remarked innocently.

Mey-Rin's eyes widened as she turned to Finni.

"Small my foot!" I yelled.

"Your foot is pretty small." Sebastian mocked.

I turned back to him and took the dress. I smiled.

"Thanks for the distraction, Bard, Finni." I smiled sweetly at them.

Bard, who clearly can't tell a joke if it hit him in the face, looked completely traumatized. Finni on the other hand, was completely clueless and gave me thumbs up.

"Now, get out." I said, looking intently at the dress. Then I looked up at them and winked as they left.

"I've got a new dress to wear."

...

"What?!"

"I already told you, we are going to Houndsworth to complete the Her Majesty's request." Ciel replied tiredly.

"And that is…?"

"Later." He waved me off. And I sneezed before I could protest. Stupid cold.

"Vacation. Vacation. We're going on vacation." The other three servants chanted. Yes, we brought them. Shh, I'm still trying to figure out why.

We were traveling in style. Nah, the servants were riding in the cart with the entire luggage, Tanaka driving. I still think that is incredibly dangerous and bad idea. The reason I wasn't riding with them was, about halfway through the journey I got bored and jumped from their cart to Ciel's topless carriage, driven by Sebastian. Which I think is much safer. I was sprawled against the chair, Ciel staring at me probably wondering how I was older than him.

Yes, I was wearing the dress. Good luck on trying to get me to change out of it. But, honestly, I'm mad at it. Ciel bought it for me so I wouldn't complain on this journey, more like couldn't. Stupid bribery. But I did need a new dress. I could play nice this once.

"Vacation. Vacation. We're going on vacation." The three continued to chant.

Suddenly the sky got darker and I looked up. I nearly shrieked when I saw the scraggily tree above me, what freaked me out was the skulls and bones dangling from it.

"Ok, Ciel. Care to explain?" I asked calmly, not taking my eyes off the trees. I was half expecting one of the skeletons to move or jump out at me. And if that happened, you can bet I'm gone, no question.

"Uhh…" He stuttered. The other servants had gone deadly silent. Ok, corny joke there, sorry.

"We are going to the town Houndsworth by the Queen's order. It is supposedly haunted by a Demon Dog. There have been murders frequently lately, and the most recent murder was last night. The town was famous for its bear-baiting but, when that became illegal, they used dogs." Sebastian explained long enough for us to pass the trees.

"Dog-baiting?" I asked, anxiously glancing back at the trees.

"Exactly." Ciel confirmed. "Her Majesty wants a stop to it all."

"Nice." I deadpanned.

Ciel glanced down on the floor to see me on my tummy studying a skull.

"What are you doing?!" He yelled incredulously.

"This skull isn't human." I said tossing over my shoulder as I stood up. It landed with a thunk on the servant's cart. They all cowered from it.

"It's just a skull. It couldn't hurt you even if you wanted it to." I called over to them.

They stared at me disbelievingly. I grinned at them.

"Unless it's haunted. Whoo!" I jumped onto their cart.

"Ah!" They all fell onto their bums, startled. I tried to hold my laugh with my hand, but failed miserably. I sat down after a near dodge from Bard's hand. I was in the corner of the cart and I could see everything from here. I gave a toothy grin to everyone staring at me and we all had a staring contest. Me vs. them. There is still a good debate on who won, but it was obviously me.

"Hey, Ciel?"

"Hmm." He looked at me.

I got up and walked to the other side of the cart, closer to his carriage. "Why did you bring all of us servants?" I whispered.

"I didn't want to return to the same disaster as last time." He sweat dropped.

I looked at the others. "Good thinking." I shuddered. "I don't want to repeat any of that."

We looked at each other. I know he knows, and he doesn't know I know he knows. Funny thing is I only remember that I lost my temper that night. I can't seem to remember anymore than that. I'll ask later. Or I'll just add it to the list of things I don't know and I'm scared of the answer.

I spotted a dot of color against the gray landscape. I squinted. There was an old lady walking alongside the road! And she had a baby carriage! This far into nowhere! I looked at Ciel, he had noticed and Sebastian was slowing down.

As we neared I noticed she was mumbling something, but I just couldn't make it out.

"Excuse me Miss, but do you need any help?" Her carriage wheel was stuck in the mud.

Finni didn't' wait for a response. He jumped out of the cart and grabbed the carriage. Just then I remembered his strength!

"Finni! No!" All the servants, including me, cried at once.

His eyes widened as he realized his mistake, too late might I add. He had the carriage above his head. He set it down as gently as he could, which was like a large man bringing down an axe on a block of wood.

"Is the baby alright?" Mey-Rin asked the woman.

The woman pulled off the blanket covering the- What the heck!? It's a skull! Not a human skull but an animal one like the one I had on the cart!

"There is no baby!" The woman cried maniacally. No duh.

Then she started to chant, what I guess she was chanting earlier, as she walked away pushing the carriage again.

"The white dog is a good dog, good dog good. The bad dog is a bad dog, bad dog bad." And she repeated it until I was practically saying it too.

"That was weird." I mumbled.

"Yeah." Everyone replied.

...

I glance over my shoulder to see why Kitt was so quiet. When I saw she was asleep, I grinned. Only she could fall asleep at a time like this, everyone else was too freaked to do anything. She is completely strange. Nothing seems to freak her out. That is, except for herself, how unfortunate.

I cringed as we neared the town, I really hate dogs. We all watched as a dog ran to a man and the man gave him a treat.

"What pathetic creatures, doing anything in return for praise." I said, rather disgusted.

"So I take it that you don't like dogs?" Young Master asked, for once the one amused.

"To be more precise, I hate them." I smiled politely, the complete opposite of what I was feeling. "They suck up to the superior, doing everything that they are told to do in return for reward."

"To what are you inferring?" he asked slightly irritated.

"I'm just saying how much I dislike dogs." I covered.

"Woof." He mimicked.

"You do know you are no better." I heard the familiar voice of a sleepy Kitt.

While I had been referring to the way Young Master follows the Queen's every command, I hadn't thought of the way I do everything the Young Master wants.

I remained silent, not knowing how to respond. Kitt had seemed to fall asleep again. We were a couple of minutes away from the final destination, the Barrymore Mansion. Lord Henry Barrymore owns Houndsworth so it would be in his best interest to make a good impression on anyone who comes to his town representing the Queen.

I wonder if that's the case.

...

I felt the carriage come to a halt, so I opened my eyes a crack. There stood another mansion. Nice. Ciel sure did know how to live. I was still sick so it was best for me to get as much rest as possible, so I closed my eyes and fell asleep once again.

...

A couple of minutes later, I felt a calloused hand on my shoulder, trying to shake me awake. I opened my eyes to reveal all of the servants looking at me, all too close for comfort.

"What?" I groaned.

"We are now at the servant entrance, yes we are."

"Time to get up, Sleeping Beauty."

"The Young Master and Sebastian are already inside!"

I rubbed my eyes and sat up. "Ok. Somebody help me, I'm still half asleep."

Bard helped me down out of the cart by lifting me like a child from it. And I swear I saw him smirk at my lightness.

"Don't dwarf me." I mumbled angrily.

He laughed as he grabbed my bag along with his own. And we all headed inside.

...

Lord Henry Barrymore was a rude man who disrespects women. I had to have Sebastian stop him from whipping the only servant he has. She's a beautiful woman that had even Finni drooling over her. She had blonde hair and blue eyes, which should explain a lot, plus pretty facial features. I had heard Barrymore call her Angela, so I'm guessing that's her name.

Lord Barrymore didn't believe I was the Earl Phantomhive and even called me a Chihuahua. A Chihuahua! That even sounded weird to Sebastian. If Kitt was here, she'd burst out laughing. It's scary how much I know about her now, and the fact I know exactly what she would find funny.

Anyway, after showing Barrymore the Queen's seal, we sat down and started to talk.

Funny thing is, he didn't tell me anything. As soon as we sat down, he told me to leave!

"I sorry you had to journey all the way here, but we have everything under control. You can leave and tell Her Majesty not to send anymore subordinates."

He is so full of himself.

And suspicious.

Hmmm…

...

Sorry for the long pause! Just didn't feel like editing... You know?

I honestly forgot how to write this story. It feels as though I've lost the "Inner-Kitt". Sad, eh?

Don't worry, I still have alot of this prematureately written. I've only posted about half. So, look fwd to the next update. Once I find my inner Kitt.

*Cries* I gotta reread all of this! Every sentence, Every word, EVERYTHING! and there are a hundred and twenty two pages on Microsoft office word in font size ELEVEN! And I have only posted up to page sixty one for those who want to know how much they have to look fwd to. (DO THE MATH YOURSELF! I HAVE ENOUGH TO DO!)
