Hey guys, how is life for you all? Someone seriously has to start nagging me to update. For all the fanguins who didn't know, there is a PoM movie coming up in November *squeals* The trailer is already out and you should seriously watch it :)

Disclaimer: I don't own this cartoon, The Penguins of Madagascar.

Previously, in the tenth chapter of Last Breath,

Muscles tensed, weapons positioned, eyes sharp, hearts pounding.

They could do this… it was simple… yeah… take down Skipper… one of the living legends in penguin history, alongside Buck Rockgut and another rising legend, Kowalski.

Oh who were they kidding, they were doomed. This was going to end badly.

The teams stood for a few seconds, watching the duo fight and use their weapons against each other, oblivious to the other soldier's presence.

They all were listening to orders not to engage in the battle all at once, as the civilian could get hurt.

They watched helplessly as Private got overpowered by Skipper. That's when all the teams were ready, positioned perfectly and their weapons had been fully activated. That was also the time when Skipper and Private became aware of the highly armed 'audience' surrounding them.

Skipper was currently suffocating Private with his right flipper which held a switchblade. The left one had a gun to Private's head. The blade unfortunately, was blocked from the audience's views.

"Drop your guns. Or I'll shoot." Skipper stated icily.

Kowalski and Rico, at the centre of the perimeter looked at each other, while their weapons were still aimed at Skipper. They turned over to Private, who was surprisingly calmer than most victims who are held at gunpoint.

Kowalski noticed Private had a hard, steely gaze, wasn't struggling that much, and the only movement he saw was Private's flippers trying to claw off Skipper's from his neck. It was also at that point when Kowalski saw the blood trailing from Private's neck and came to the horrifying realisation that Skipper had a knife.

He and the other soldiers were trained that whenever innocent hostages' lives were in line, they were taught to stand down (like what Skipper was saying) and stall for time. But this wasn't a villain! This was Skipper! The man - err...penguin who could hurt one with his flippers tied and eyes closed!

Rico looked at Private's eyes which were blank. He seemed scared, but he hid his emotions. Rico understood that Kowalski and Private couldn't make their moves. Rico started lowering his gun, immediately. Kowalski and the others followed suit.

"Kick your weapons to me."

Skipper kept his gaze trained on his teammates. He was distracted. Private had a plan. Years of training could finally help him get out of this situation. Private knew he had to do it.

Kick! Punch! Hit! Click!

The soldiers were horrified at Private's moves. Private had kicked the gun out of Skipper's hands, twisted his flipper in order to confiscate his knife, gave a well trained kick to his head and knocked him over to the floor.

Skipper was knocked onto the ground face first and he mentally scolded himself for not keeping his guard up. His abdomen/chest started hurting again and he started rubbing the wound to reduce the pain. He couldn't believe Private had gotten advantage of his mistake.

He was shocked, to say the least, when he realized a gun - his gun - was drilling into his back.

"You're outmatched Skipper. Put your flippers where I can see them. Try anything funny and you know where this bullet goes." Private did his best in assuming a cold and hard tone.

Skipper removed his flipper from his existing gunshot wound and raised it outward, showing Private his empty flippers.

He also had his flippers tilted downwards such that the bracelet on his left flipper slipped.

Private noticed it and put on his gloves, carefully lowering his gun and bending down to pick up the metal contraption. He put the gun on the floor where Skipper couldn't reach it. When he started examining it, he could see Skipper's figure getting slightly smaller. He saw a similar bracelet on his right flipper and removed it, unintentionally pressing a small button.

This time, the difference in Skipper's appearance was drastic enough for Kowalski to notice. Kowalski moved towards Skipper and Private showed him the metal device.

Skipper squeezed his eyes close as pain surged through his chest again. His two comrades heard him moaning in pain.

"Lift him up and turn him gently on three… one, two, three!" Kowalski instructed as they both gently turned him over. The color drained from their face beneath their feathers when they saw his real appearance.

There were rings and red marks around his neck and a thick bandage had been wrapped around his abdomen. There were bruises all over him.

"Ugh...what happened...?" He asked as his vision and mind cleared. He immediately saw the blood on Private's neck and remembered the preceding events."Private? Did...I do that to you?" His voice revealed the rising panic.

"Skipper? How are you feeling?" Private asked, ignoring his question.

"I have slightly more control of myself... I think… but my body...hurts a lot." He sat up and tried to move his flippers but it felt like Private had pinned them.

"I'm sorry Skipper, this is going to hurt but it's for your own good." Kowalski said as members of the squad came forward and blindfolded him. Skipper was panicking inside, resisting the urge to grab the gun beside and shoot.

Kowalski dabbed Skipper's flipper with a cotton ball dipped in diluted alchohol (sanitised it) and raised the needle. He quickly injected its contents.

"What-what did you do to me?" He gasped. The others noticed his uneven breathing and his panic.

Without answering, Kowalski and Private stood up and moved aside to allow the other men to do their job. Private watched, trying to keep a straight face while they forced Skipper's flippers to his back and 'handcuffed' him with special advanced cuffs. They needed to bring him back to the base safely and currently, he was still a 'potentially dangerous threat'.

The other soldiers led him back to the base while Kowalski and Private stayed there to clear up the wreckage and littered weapons. Rico stayed at the back of the group, guarding their backs in case there were any sneak attacks or if someone tries to bail out their prisoner.

Rico saw that even though Kowalski and Private were still standing at attention, armed and alert, their eyes showed intense hurt and sympathy for whatever their leader is going through. He felt the same pain too. Their Skipper, being dragged away like a prisoner, because of his arch-enemies who turned him evil.

Once the soldiers was out of sight, Private fell into Kowalski's flippers and started sobbing quietly. Kowalski wrapped his flippers around the younger penguin as a few tears escaped from his eyes.

"I pointed a gun at Skipper, K'walski!" Private sobbed, "I threatened to kill him!" He still couldn't accept that he just did that to his own commanding officer, who had been one of his father figures most of his life.

Kowalski bit back more tears that were threatening to fall while trying to console the traumatized boy.

They were standing like that for only about a minute when Rico came running back. He froze at the emotional display, trying not to break down in front of them.

"Ey Owalski!" Rico called out. He was still trying to be strong for his team.

Private swiftly turned and noticed Rico still holding that gun.

"What is it Rico?" Kowalski said after clearing his throat.

As soon as Rico told them the important piece of information, the trio immediately sped off at breakneck speed towards the HQ.

In English, the piece of information was this.

"Skipper fell unconscious when walking, you need to come and see this!"

Thought this chapter would be way longer, seeing that the climax should take place here. Its not easy writing an action scene which readers can picture it in their minds, though. Hope you guys enjoyed and feel free to give feedback :)
