Out on a distant rooftop with Barney, Clint sat and twirled an arrow in his hands, his once kind eyes now filled with anger and hate.

"Hey Barney. Wanna have a little fun with the so called 'Avengers'?"

His big brother smiled at him. "What ya got in mind?"

A smile spread across Clint's face as his eyes caught the illuminating Stark Tower in the distance. "A little bit of revenge."

Barney smirked. "My favorite word."

"We're just going to sit around here, and wait for the action?" Steve asked his fellow avengers, who were lounging around Stark Tower.

Thor looked up from stroking Meowth, and shrugged. "What else can we do? We don't know where they are…"

"Or what they're planning…" Before Steve could finish, the lights in Stark Tower went out.

Bruce squinted at the avengers through the dark. "Guys…"

An arrow flew through towards the nearest window, smashing it. The lights came back on, just as Clint and Barney entered the tower. Bruce turned to Steve, shaking vigorously. He grimaced, trying to keep the Hulk back. He pointed to Natasha. "Get her out of here!"

"I'm fine…" She responded.

"Not with that leg! Go!"

Steve turned and helped Natasha to her feet, while Bruce and Thor dealt with Clint and Barney. From under the hood, Clint grinned.

"This ends now." Bruce snarled, just before hulking out.

Clint laughed. "Trying to sound epic there? It didn't work.." He retorted, but his voice didn't even sound like his own. It was twisted and dark. It was evil.

The Hulk clenched his fists and cried. "Hulk smash!"

Clint flipped out of the way of the Hulk, and shook his finger. "Ah, ah… Temper, temper!" He teased.

Thor threw Mjolnir at Barney. He dodged it at the last second, and the hammer flew through the broken window, out of Thor's reach.

"You know, for a god, you've got bad aim." Barney smirked.

The Hulk charged at Clint, pushing them both out the window. Whilst falling, Clint shot a grapple arrow that hooked onto the tower. He swung up onto the rooftop, joining Barney. The Hulk landed on the pavement below, and glared up at the archers. Clint grinned and tilted his head. "Who's next?"

Meowth launched himself at Clint, catching him off guard. Clint tried to push the cat off himself, but the cat held on tight. Clint pulled an arrow out of his quiver and stabbed it into the cat's back.

Thor's eyes widened and he glared at Clint. "You're going to pay for that." He charged at Clint and Barney, the three of them crashed out the window, landing on a hot dog cart below.

Clint groaned and staggered up, glaring at Thor. Steve and Natasha stood a foot away at the entrance to Stark Tower. Steve glanced at Natasha. "So much for keeping you away from the action.

He took his shield in hand, and threw it at Barney, cutting his arm. With one hand, Natasha leant against a crutch, and with the other, she pulled out her gun. She aimed at Clint, her hand shaking. Clint made eye contact with Natasha, and aimed his arrow at her. He showed no hesitation, but his eyes held a hint of sadness.

"It didn't have to come to this Clint." Natasha reasoned.

"Did it? Or did it not?"

Clint's fingers shook a little when he pulled back the bowstring. Natasha's finger hovered over the trigger. Clint let go, and watched the arrow flying towards Natasha. Steve, seeing the arrow, threw his shield at Natasha. She dropped the gun, and caught the shield in time to deflect the arrow.

"I didn't think it would come to this Clint." She threw the shield back to the captain who used it in his own fight against Barney.

Clint hissed. "Maybe you should've thought of that, all of you!" He stood up straighter. "I'm done being the good guy, the quiet one in the corner, the one who gets blamed for everything! I'm sick and tired of it, and theres nothing you guys can do! Its over!"

"You think you have the upper hand in this?" Natasha asked, incredulous. "Clint, as strong as you think you and your brother are, you're no match against four avengers, especially when one of them's the Hulk. Re-join the Avengers, Clint. There's no point to this fight!"

Barney, who was busy fighting off three avengers, spared a glance towards Clint, his eyes wide. "You were an Avenger!?" He cried.

"Yea. Under the Codename Hawkeye"

Barney shook his head, dodging the Hulk's fist. "Should've figured it out. How nervous you were to break into Stark Tower, the way you were fighting…" He shot an arrow Thor's way. "Who's side are you on? Mine, or theirs?"

"Your's." Clint assured his brother. "I left the Avengers.." He glared at Natasha. "For good.."

Barney grinned. "Then you won't mind if I do this…"

He caught the captain off guard, shooting his arrows at rapid fire. Steve, unable to dodge them all, was hit in the side, and collapsed.

Barney grinned. "This is the great Captain America?" He shot another arrow at Cap, and dodged another attack from Thor.

Steve groaned, trying to get up, trying to ignore the pain, and the pool of blood. Clint took a step closer to his friend, and looked down at him. "Don't move." He advised.

Steve glared at him. "I vouched for you." He snapped, spitting up blood.

Clint froze, and when Steve's words sunk in, he moved away from Captain. He turned to see Thor knock Barney off his feet with Mjolnir. Clint aimed an arrow at Thor. "Don't." He threatened.

Thor looked at Clint with pleading eyes. "You were our friend."

"Key note in there. 'Was', I was your friend." The archer corrected.

Barney aimed his bow at Natasha, and shot an arrow at her crutches, causing her to lose her balance and fall to her knees.

An angry Hulk charged at Clint. Too slow to react, Clint skid across the pavement, landing near Natasha.

Thor ran over to Clint, sparing a glance at the captain, lying in a pool of blood. "This is how you treat your friends?"

Clint's face and arms are bloody from the pavement and he tried to reach for his bow, avoiding the question. Clint's eyes widened as he spotted his brother aiming at Steve again. "Barney! Leave the Captain alone! Can't you see he's had enough!" He screamed.

Barney ignored Clint, and released the arrow, piercing the captain again. For the first time ever, Clint heard Steve cry out in pain, and it was not a sound he ever wanted to hear again. He staggered to his feet, his hood off and blood dripping down the side of his head. Clint winced. "B-Barney.. This has gone too far…"

Barney grinned. "What do you mean? This is what you wanted."

"I-I didn't want it to happen like this…."

Barney aimed his bow at Natasha. "It's too late now brother. I'm on a roll."

Clint staggered in front of Natasha, protectively. "Hurt her… You die." Clint's teeth gritted, his fists clenched. He looked back at Natasha, then to his brother. His eyes were set in a cold, unforgiving glare.

Barney raised his arrow to his brother, his eyes remorseless. "Fine.." He let go of the bowstring.

Clint could feel his life flash before him. Then everything went black.

Everyone stared at Barney in shock. Barney just shook his head and smiled. Natasha crawled over to Clint, her eyes watering. Thor aimed Mjolnir at Barney. "You're a monster."

"So I've heard."

Barney tried to dodge the hammer, but Thor managed to hit him in the head. The archer fell to the ground, dead. Thor, Hulk and Natasha ignored Barney, and checked out Steve and Clint. Steve's pulse was weak, but still beating. Clint's was nonexistent, and he lay with his eyes closed, an arrow dangerously close to his heart.

Natasha's voice shook. "Clint's dead."

Loki: I suppose we should apologize for the long update, however I'm the only one here today... I thought I'd secretly update. Hehehe, Hawky and Nick have no idea. This cliffhanger might be worse than the last though. Hehehehehehehehehehehehe. On behalf of the missing writers, thank you for your reviews, follows and favorites. Now, I have my first mission as an honorary avenger to get to. This isn't going to go well.
