Btw: Two chapters in one day? What is this?! Haha, I just felt like I'd try and not keep you all waiting, after the cliffhanger last time. Next chapter is Ignitus, and the chapter will be a lot longer, but I promise, you'll find out what happens to our beloved Vampire King. :) Thanks for reading so far, and I'd love to read your reviews! Constructive criticism is encouraged. :D Thanks, Elizabeth.

Gumball wiped the sweat off his face; they'd been walking for a couple hours now, and although it was freezing, he was still perspiring. He checked the map again, and was relieved to see that they were almost to the Ice Queen's lair. "Goodness gracious me," he breathed quietly as they chugged along. "My legs are just about killing me."

"Not surprising," Cake said. "We've been walking for two hours!"

Gumball sighed, continuing to lead the way. He tried to clear his head, but ever since they had entered the Ice Kingdom, a constant hissing noise had been present as ice turned to steam. "How're you doing, Ignitus?" Gumball asked, turning his head to look at the other man. The Flame Prince looked exhausted, and paranoid, but he didn't blame the flame boy. They'd all been in a constant fear of ice melting above them and crashing down on them.

"I-I'm doing alright, for the most part," Ignitus replied, looking above them and around as he walked.

"We're almost there," Gumball replied, eyeing the opening in one of the icy mountains.

About half an hour there, they had covered the distance between them and the Ice Queen's lair. "Now the only thing to do is get to the top," Gumball said as he looked up.

"Brace yourselves," Ignitus mumbled, cracking his knuckles. Cake handed him something; a bottle of some sort was passed between their hands as Ignitus drank the entire contents in one swig.

Gumball stuttered, "What the nuts is that?" The two had seemed to plan something unbeknownst to him. He was utterly baffled, but it immediately turned to alarm as Ignitus doubled over, clutching his stomache. "What the cabbage is going on, Ignitus?" Gumball said frantically taking hold of the Flame Prince's shoulders. He almost let go in shock; there was no pain. In fact, Ignitus's skin felt almost cool. The other boy straightened, a look of pure determination in his eyes.

"I'll explain later," Ignitus said, looking up at the clouds in the direction of the entrance. "For now, just grab my hands." Cake obliged without a word, but Gumball was hesitant.

"I still want to know what's going on," he said, looking at the other two. What have they devised? he wondered. He was worried that Ignitus might have just done something the flaming boy would soon later regret, but Cake snapped him out of his mind-raking.

"Do you wanna save mah baby girl or not?" she hissed.

Gumball took one of Ignitus's hands, which was cool to the touch, and Ignitus's mouth turned into a grim line. "Be ready to help Marshall Lee. The effects won't last long," he said before he took off, and all three of them shot into the sky.
