Draco's mouth dropped open and then snapped shut abruptly at Hermione's words before turning in anger to the Queen who looked completely dismayed and taken aback.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE HAS SIBLINGS?!" Draco roared as his wings appeared and fluttered behind him making everything start to swirl around the Malfoy library.
"Oi! Fairy boy. Mind shutting off the wind turbines?" Ron murmured over the wind that was steadily getting stronger like a small tornado. Draco's eyes narrowed in a threatening manner making Narcissa run over and slap Ron's shoulder making him wince in pain.
"Do NOT aggravate the angered fairy, Ronald. He isn't the ordinary type to make matters worse." Hermione drawled as she tried and failed to hold onto the papers and quill that were in front of her.
"What do you mean he's not normal?" Harry asked as she looked at him like he was the daftest one in the room.
"He's got enough bloody magical power to blow this world to pieces if he so wishes. And it'd be in everyone's best interests if you'd bloody keep it down."
She said firmly as she eyed Draco who was now in the center of the small tornado that was ripping the room apart.
"Oh. Bloody joy. Great. That's going to be tons of fucking fun."
Harry muttered making everyone roll their eyes except the rather angry male fairy that was going to rip them apart if he didn't get a more thorough explanation.
Hermione ignored her curly hair that was now whipping about her face and into her eyes as she turned and pointed to Draco. "Malfoy you're going to have to bloody settle down if you want me to tell you the rest of it. Because it's about to get much worse."
She said in a very even tone making Draco suddenly stop and stare at her with an unreadable look.
"What do you mean it's going to get worse? What could bloody be worse than this?" He grit out making her roll her eyes effectively unafraid of the very being who could kill her at that very moment.
"When I said there are others, I meant there are others who want the throne. And the only way to get said throne is to married the chosen one's intended. Which is you by the way. The chosen one supposedly is your mate but now we can't be quite sure now that one of her bloody siblings has appeared. There's only one way we can tell for sure…but…"
Harry held up his hand making everyone lapse into silence for a moment as a look of confusion shone on his features.
"Wait. Are you saying that for once I'm not the bloody Chosen One?" Hermione and everyone else let out an exasperated sigh before she nodded in confirmation. "Yes, Harry. That's exactly what I'm saying. In this particular instance, you are indeed NOT the chosen one for this chosen activity."
"That's beside the point, Ms. Granger."
The Queen sighed making everyone turn and look at her. "You knew about this didn't you?"
Draco growled making her narrow her eyes at him. "Of course I did. I do have other children but none of them were meant to be what Ottaline is. None of them possess the power to rise as much as she has. Therefore none of the others matter."
She explained making Hermione make a disgusted face and Draco to turn away slightly.
"So where are they coming from? Who are they? And why is Ottaline wherever the hell she is?" He rattled off making The Queen hold up her hand looking purely exhausted.
"Her father and I cast them out after Ottaline was born. I assume they're coming from somewhere in the world of the Fae. I assume it's one of the eldest since they are the only ones who possess enough power to even attempt such a thing. And Ottaline is safe. For now. She's with her father."
She said simply making everyone's eyes widen. "Her father's DEAD. My mate is not DEAD." Draco roared making the wind pick up again much to everyone's dismay.
"No. She's not dead. She's in the In Between. In a space that her father and I designed in a case such as this which was until now unimaginable that it would be needed. Her father is the guardian of that realm. He will take care of her until we sort through this. What we need to do now is figure out exactly which child of mine has stepped the hell out of line."
She growled making the room feel almost hot and unbearable with the uncomfortable atmosphere that was growing more and more by the minute. "So do you know who it is then? The one that's done this?" Draco asked as everyone kept their eyes on The Queen who went silent for a moment before closing her eyes and reopening them with a distressed look.
"Daria. It has to be. Ottaline's older sister. The….first. She was as close to the chosen one as it got until Ottaline was born. She didn't take kindly to being cast out. I assume it's her that's doing this. She must've made it into the human realm somehow. Black magic probably. Fae are capable of it in dire situations. Most don't resort to it though."
Draco quirked an eyebrow at her before looking at Hermione. "So this Daria….has somehow entered the human realm and sent Ottaline away? How does that make any sense?"
Hermione looked just about as lost as he felt as they both turned towards The Queen who sighed heavily and sat down on one of the lounges in front of the roaring fireplace.
"Upon Daria's entry into the human realm, Ottaline was sent to the In Between as a precaution to keep her out of harm's way. That way no one would be able to alter the marriage arrangement until the true heir was determined. I suspect that Daria has found some sort of disguise for now until she reveals herself. Probably in the form of some poor unfortunate soul that happened to cross paths with her."
"But what type of unfortunate soul would be unlucky enough to cross paths with a power hungry fae?"
Ron murmured making Hermione's eyes light up with recognition. "A very stupid one."
Harry seemed to catch on before Draco realized where they were going.
"Astoria."
They all said before they jumped to their feet to make preparations for the difficult task that lay ahead. The night was long and about to become longer, as Draco's soul became even more restless.
Time was running out.
Their wedding was approaching.
Something had to be done and something had to be done now.
