Mike doesn't know how he finally calms down enough to fall asleep. All he knows is the next morning he wakes curled up under the blankets wrapped around Paige's naked body. He dares to kiss her forehead gently, before sliding carefully out of bed. He takes one last look at her sleeping before slipping into his running clothes and heading out the door. He runs for miles as he replays the night over in his head and worries about what it may mean for their future.

When he gets back to the house, drenched in sweat, he still hasn't sorted through how he feels about the previous evening. He walks into the kitchen and sees Charlie and Johnny sitting together reading through mail and eating eggs at the table.

"Yo Mikey! We left you breakfast." Johnny greets him.

"Thanks." Mike says, his attention already drawn to Paige standing there in his boxer shorts and her t-shirt pouring herself a mug of coffee. His breath catches as he approaches her, memories of last night revisiting him.

"Morning." He greets her cautiously.

"Morning." She chirps back happily.

"So… last night." Mike takes a deep breath and prompts her as he tries to look casual buttering his toast.

"Yes?" She asks as she grabs an apple and a knife.

"Last night was…" Mike searches for the word, hoping she will fill in the blanks for him. He, as usual, has no idea what she's thinking.

"Fun?" She supplies. Mike's not sure if he's pleased by that answer or not.

"No." He answers quickly and then corrects himself, "I mean yes, it was, but Paige don't you think we should-"

"Morning Jakes!" Paige interrupts Mike's attempt to talk to her, alerting him someone else has entered the kitchen.

"Animals." Jakes grumbles in reply, storming past them to the coffee machine.

"Animals?" Johnny asks, suddenly interested.

"Yeah, didn't you hear these two last night? They had quite the evening." Charlie smiles knowingly.

"Yeah, an evening that started downstairs and I was forced to witness." Jakes grunts.

"Well it certainly didn't stop there from what I was hearing." Charlie seems almost proud of the two of them.

"Aw, I missed the free porn?" Johnny whines.

"Yeah, where were you?" Jakes asks Johnny.

"I was helping Briggs out with something." Johnny explained with a shrug.

"Oh yeah? What's he up to?" Mike asks, both trying to steer the conversation away from his love life and genuinely curious. He's still unsure of living in the house with Briggs. He never knows when he can trust him.

"I don't know man, but whatever it is, he's in deep." Johnny says, clearing his dishes and preparing to head out. "Ok, I'm out. Big fish to fry today, but yo! Drop tonight?"

"Sure thing!" Charlie agrees absentmindedly reviewing her mail.

"Hard yes. I need to drink until I burn the image of Warren's pasty white ass from my brain."

"Paige? Mike?" Johnny prompts.

"Yeah, I think we could manage that." Paige answers for both of them before Mike can say anything, sliding up beside him, and wrapping her arm around his waist. Her touch takes him off guard, but remembers they still need to keep up the married facade in front of their roommates. He wraps his arm around her and just gives a tight smile and a nod. Her body pressed to his feels electric and his mind is still reeling over what happened last night.

"Great. Charlie! Let Briggs know!" Johnny crows.

"Will do! But you know he won't show." Charlie rolls her eyes. Briggs has been keeping his distance ever since Mike threatened to turn him in.

"Convince him!" Johnny yells over his shoulder as he leaves.

"I gotta go too." Paige leans up to kiss Mike goodbye, squeezing his ass playfully as she does. "Jakes may not appreciate it, but I'll be thinking of that pasty white ass all day."

"Boundaries people!" Jakes complains loudly, and for once Mike almost wants to agree, because he has no clue where the line is anymore.

Later at the Drop the five roommates sit around drinking beer when Johnny drops the bombshell.

"Yo. Briggs says he's moving out." Johnny announces to the table.

"What?!" Mike, Paige and Jakes gasp. Charlie seems to have already known.

"Probably can't take walking in on all the naked people in the living room anymore!" Jakes grumbles. "Seriously two rooms and you choose to fornicate on our couch!"

"Let it go Jakes!" Paige rolls her eyes.

"No, he's got a point. You guys have two rooms." Charlie says.

"So?" Mike demands.

"So with Briggs moving out, the big room is free. You two could move in together." Charlie offers.

Mike turns to Paige with a panicked look. "I don't think that's um… no…"

"Why not? Too much commitment? You two are married for Christ's sake." Charlie rolls her eyes.

"She has a point. Briggs room is bigger than both our rooms combined." Paige says to Mike making his jaw drop.

"Isn't this something we should talk about first?" Mike says in a hushed tone, really wishing the rest of the roommates weren't here right now.

"We are talking about it." Paige says evenly.

"You're married! Don't get cold feet now son!" Johnny laughs.

"No, I mean like, shouldn't we talk about this… alone?"

"We can have all the alone time to talk you need in our new room." Paige says teasingly. Mike gulps and stares at her for a moment wondering what she's doing. They still hadn't had a chance to talk about last night and what it meant and now she wants them to give up their individual rooms?

"Oooh sounds like the Mrs. has spoken Mike." Johnny taunts.

"I um… but... uh... ok?" Mike finally shakily admits. This was going to be hell. Pure torture. He thought maybe last night would calm his lust for her at least temporarily, but if anything it was worse. He felt like he was physically addicted to her. Just going to work and being separated from her had physically pained him and now she was sitting next him and somehow the pain was worse. Now she's saying she wants them both to share a room? The woman was trying to kill him.

"Relax. I'll grab you another drink." She pats his shoulder and leans down to kiss his cheek. He blushes, and turns back to the group as she walks away.

"I guess we're moving in together." Mike says sheepishly.

"Congrats man!" Johnny laughs, slapping him on the back. Mike just sighs and chugs the rest of his beer, knowing Paige will be back soon with another.

"I'm not buying it you know." Charlie leans over and stares at Mike critically.

"Not buying what?" Mike asks, suddenly on edge. What gave him away?

"This marriage." Charlie states.

"What?" Mike just gapes at her, his stomach dropping. They were caught.

"You two are too adorable. It's sickening." Charlie teases.

"Yeah man, I have to agree. Where's all the drama? The doors slamming and the fighting? When you two told me you guys got married, we were buckling down and preparing for an explosion, but it's like you two actually like each other or something." Johnny agrees.

Mike shrugs, taking a futile sip of his empty beer as he ponders their words. Apparently Mike and Paige put on a better show than they thought.

"What are we talking about?" Paige skips over and plops down in Mike's lap, two beers in hand.

"They think we're too happy for our marriage to be real." Mike tells her with a relieved grin on his face at the irony.

"Please. You're just all jealous because we make this look good." Paige and Mike both mug as they hold up their left hands showing off their rings.

"Mike you cheap bastard, you didn't even get her a diamond?" Jakes seems to notice for the first time Paige's lack of engagement ring.

"She didn't want one." Mike tries to defend himself as he takes a sip of his beer. The subject's making him uncomfortable.

"What girl doesn't want a diamond?" Jakes demands.

"Aren't you in customs? Do you not hear about the blood diamonds? Diamonds aren't rare, it's just the market inflating prices and claiming it's romance. Also how fair is it that girls have to wear a ring before they're even married, taking them off the market, while men don't. Plus it's impractical for work and also-" Paige begins to lecture him.

"Ok. Ok. I'm sorry I asked." Jakes says holding up his hands protectively before Paige gets going on too much of a rant on feminism and exploited 3rd world workers.

"Well I want to know! If not a diamond, how did he convince you to marry him. How did he propose?" Charlie asks.

"Alright here's the truth." Paige says, and Mike looks up warily at her having no clue of what she's about to say.

"You remember when Sid went after Mike, and we got the news that he had survived?"

"Yeah…" The group is leaning in to hear more of the story, and Mike is on pins and needles. She can't ACTUALLY be telling them the truth can she?

"I knew right then if we ever got a second chance, I would never let him go." She says, her voice getting quiet.

"So there we were at the courthouse, and I know it might seem crazy, but sometimes you gotta take the shot."

Mike has to admit, he's touched by her words. He stares up at her adoringly.

"And I'm glad I did." She says leaning down to kiss him on the lips making Charlie say aw and Jakes makes gagging noises.

"What about you Mikey? When did you know Paige was the one." Charlie asks.

"First time I saw her." Mike says still staring up at Paige in wonder.

"Bullshit." Johnny laughs, calling him out.

"No, it's true. You should have seen this kids face. Cupid's arrow straight to the heart." Charlie tells the others.

"No way! What about Maryland?!" Johnny argues.

"Yeah? And that DA chick?!" Jakes adds.

"You guys are blind idiots. He was so into Paige that whole time. Talked about her nonstop. Followed her around like a little puppy dog." Charlie scolded them.

"Why am I always the dogs in these metaphors?" Mike turns to ask Paige, and she laughs and kisses him. Mike squeezes his arm around her waist, pretending for just a moment that all this is real.

"Mike, truth time, when you were with Abby, you know with her…" Johnny says, holding up his fingers as quotation marks.

"Yes, Johnny we can crack that code." Paige rolls her eyes.

"Did you picture Paige while you and Abby were doing it?" Johnny asks.

"Why would you ask me that with my wife sitting on my lap? Are you trying to get me killed?" Mike groans.

"Well we all know you both fantasize about me when you two are getting freaky." Johnny brags.

"That's disgusting Johnny." Paige rolls her eyes and Mike clinks his beer bottle with hers in agreement.

"Alright, a toast. To Paige and Mike. They may have been roommate for years and they may be married but they're finally moving in together. They're doing everything assbackwards, but they're doing it. To Mike and Paige, no matter which direction you guys go, may you go together. To true love!" Charlie says holding up her beer until everyone joins.

"To Mike and Paige!" Jakes agrees.

"True love y'all!" Johnny yells out excited.

"To us." Paige says clinking her glass with Mikes.

"To us." He agrees softly.

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" Charlie and Johnny start chanting while Jakes just drops his head on the table and groans.

Paige smiles and sets her beer down, before leaning down to kiss Mike. They may as well put on a show.
