Here's the chapter I've been asked about. Enjoy :)

She gave Amanda a kiss of reassurance before crawling next to her holding her as tight as she could without hurting the blonde.

Time ticked by quickly until the last hour. It was still 30 minutes before her tests which left her nervous. Amanda had no idea how she would handle it if she was indeed pregnant. Yes, Olivia would be around to help her, but would she be able to look at the child without thinking of her capture. Watching the emotions play across her girlfriend's face, Olivia wished it was under different circumstances they were waiting on these tests.

"Are you sure you're doing okay?" Olivia asked once Amanda seemed a bit calmer.

"I think so… I mean, I don't know how this is gonna work. I'm not sure if I can do this if the tests come back with a positive." Amanda responded bowing her head to hide her tears once again.

"You can do it. I'll be with you every step of the way. You won't be alone. I promise you that." She smiled giving her another hug.

The knock on the door made both women jump as the doctor came in. She asked if Amanda was ready for her tests so she could get out of there. She nodded as she got up to follow the doctor. Giving Olivia a quick kiss she left the room.

Olivia sat in the empty room wondering exactly what she was going to do to help Amanda when they got home. Not only would the memories affect her for months, but if she were pregnant what would that do to her already damaged emotional state. All she knew is that she had to do everything possible to make things easy for her girlfriend. It'd take work but she was more than willing to do anything Amanda needed.

Looking up at the door as it opened she was kind of disappointed to see the doctor instead of Amanda. Starting to ask what was going on Olivia was silenced. "Amanda asked me to tell you she needs a few minutes. Everything is okay. I just think she's in shock. Feel free to go to her if you like. It's just two doors down." The doctor told her as she made her way out again.

Slowly easing into the exam room she saw Amanda with her back to the door staring out the window. Walking up behind her Olivia wrapped her arms around her waist smiling. When Amanda leaned back against her she knew things would eventually work out as she would see to it that they did.

"I take it the doctor told you." Amanda whispered.

"Not exactly, but I kind of figured it out when you didn't come back. We'll get through this. I promise."

Looking out the window for another couple of minutes Olivia was finally able to get Amanda moving so they could leave. Climbing into the cab, they left the hospital to head to the precinct. Upon walking into the squad room Amanda was almost run over by her partner who gave her a huge hug.

"Welcome back! I've missed you partner." Fin exclaimed wrapping her in yet another big hug.

"Settle down big man, I'm not exactly cleared for work yet." Amanda laughed.

After being welcomed back by the rest of the squad, she made her way to the Captain's office. Amanda wasn't entirely ready for the conversation she was about to have with Cragen. He told her she still had a job if she wanted it and that he would do whatever was possible to help her. She appreciated his offer but told him she couldn't come back to full duty for at least 8 months. This stunned him, he had no idea what she was talking about. Taking a deep breath she explained to him everything that was going on and how she wasn't ready to tell everyone just yet. Amanda also asked if she could come back to work even if all she could do was desk duty.

"Amanda, no one will find out until you tell them. As for work I'd like you to talk to a counselor before coming back. If you will go see one today or tomorrow you can come back on Monday."

Amanda agreed as she got up. "See you Monday Cap." She smiled as she walked out the door.

Saying goodbye to her squad she made her way towards the department's therapist. A hand on her shoulder stopped her from opening the door. Turning around she looked into the brown eyes that had captured her heart. Amanda was a bit confused on why she was being stopped. Before she could say anything, Olivia leaned in the short distance giving her a kiss of reassurance.

"I'm here for whatever you need, remember that." Olivia whispered giving her one last kiss. "I'll be over right after work."

Unfortunately, Amanda had to wait for the next day to get an appointment which was not what she hoped for. She just wanted the session done and over with. Slamming the door in her wake, Amanda stormed out to her car. There was still 3 hours before Olivia was off work, but not really much she could do to entertain herself. After a few minutes it was decided she would make a nice dinner for her girlfriend to celebrate her homecoming.

"Something smells good." Olivia commented as she entered the apartment. Looking around, she didn't see her girlfriend. Food was on the table ready to eat but no sign of Amanda. For a minute she started to worry until she emerged from the bedroom.

"I'm sorry if I startled you. I just wanted to make you a nice dinner for all you've done, but the smell got the better of me. I hope you don't mind eating alone." Amanda mumbled apologetically and feeling bad for having to hide out.

"You never have to apologize for anything. It's lovely. I'll eat and then join you in the room." She answered placing a small kiss on Amanda's forehead.

After cleaning up the dishes and food she joined Amanda in the bedroom. Not being surprised Amanda was already asleep, Olivia planted a kiss on her cheek before stripping down and crawling into bed next to her. Nothing could make Olivia Benson any happier. She had the best girlfriend along with a baby on the way. Only thing left was to finally get the courage to ask Amanda to be her wife. Already knowing the answer she'd receive it wasn't long before she drifted off to sleep.

Not very long, but could always add more later although this might just be the last one. Not really sure where to take it after this.
