A/N So. My family is about to move across the country within the next three weeks or so, if everything goes according to plan. The good news? The trip is 22 hours long. That's 22 hours that I have sitting in a car with nothing to do but write fanfiction. The bad news? I have no clue when we'll have internet access again, so my schedule might get a little wackier than usual.I'll try to keep updating every Tuesday if I can, but the updates might be shorter, or I might have to skip a day and then do two the next week, or something of the sort. I apologize.

My One True Love: Volume 1 was written on the cover in a light purple loopy font. The title never seemed quite grammatically correct to Zoe, but that was not the main thing on her mind. Excitement was like confetti, with fun, childish colors like orchid, blonde, and cantaloupe bouncing around her field of vision. She had been wanting to read this series since she was twelve. She thought about how she had gushed to Connor about the show. She was tiny, he was 14. He hadn't gone through the worst yet. He still made time for her. And he had remembered. Anyway, she wasn't supposed to be reading something like this until she was eighteen. How she was able to watch the tv show at the young age of twelve was beyond her comprehension, although she heard that it was censored and the books were much worse. That could be it. Still, Connor wasn't eighteen yet either, and she had no idea what trouble he had to go through to bring her this book. The library didn't have it. (Yes, she had checked. And then threw a fit. Privately, obviously.) If he had ordered it online, their dad would have seen it, and this was not the kind of thing that he approved of. Connor didn't have any friends that she knew of that could have bought this book for her, if she could even call the people Connor hung out with his friends. There was mystery boy she found out about today. He could have gotten it, but Zoe highly doubted that.

She sighed. Why would Connor go through all of the trouble to bring her this book, when she could have just waited two years and bought it herself? Did he realize that not all of the volumes were translated into English, and she'd need a Japanese dictionary to read the rest? Did he get her a dictionary too? No, of course not. Why would he do that? She sighed again. Sighing was melancholy in Zoe's mind, and she didn't like to do it. Other people sighed in times of happiness. Zoe and Evan Hansen believed that sighing made your happiness evaporate away.

Zoe promised herself that tomorrow wouldn't be so gloomy. Tomorrow, the only thing she would have to worry about was studying. That and not making a fool of herself in front of her study partner. Who she saw today at band practice. Who she'll see tomorrow at the library. And the next day at student council. And the next day at the GSA Zoe's parents didn't know she joined. And the next at... Did Alana Beck ever take a day to chill? Zoe'd have to find that out. Maybe she could force Alana to unwind. Yes, force. That girl wouldn't relax easily. Zoe fell asleep happily plotting exactly how to get this done.
