Author's Note: I'm so, so, so sorry I haven't updated this story in months guys - there is no excuse, but it has honestly slipped my mind and I hope this chapter will make it up to your awesome readers. Okay, I know I kind of messed up with the timeline of the French Revolution and I apologies (my bad lol) and I promise to do more research if I'm writing a story set in the past.

Okay, here is the long overdue chapter :)

Eleven:

Eponine

The wedding was truly beautiful, Sarah Jane looked so happy with her husband and now I watched them dance from my seat at a table with Rani and Maria as I watched Sarah Jane and Ethan dance to a romantic song on the dance floor. The reception was decorated with bright lights and magnificent place settings, but all eyes were drawn to the newly wed couple. Clyde stood from the table beside me, taking hold of Luke's hand and lead him to the dance floor where he pulled Luke into a close embrace and smiled at him with such compassion - they were really a sweet couple and I was beginning to really like them both individually as well.

"They are so sweet, aren't they?" I said, smiling with approval as Clyde and Luke danced together, both boys lost in each other's eyes.

"If you say so," Maria scoffed, looking at Luke and Clyde in disgust and this caused Rani to glare at Maria in annoyance "I mean they don't need to shove their relationship in all our faces."

"They're in love and no one else has an issue with it, so stop being bitter and get over yourself" Rani snapped firmly, raising a challenging eyebrow as Maria turned to frown at Rain in utter anger "yeah, you heard me."

I wanted to squirm and vanish into thin air or run before a confrontation started, but suddenly my attention was directed towards the door as Mickey entered the room and I couldn't stop myself from smile. He truly looked handsome, wearing his smart shirt and waist coat which also displayed his muscular frame perfectly and his beautiful smile appeared as soon as he saw me and he walked towards me.

My heart jumped into my chest as he held his hand out to me, with that twinkle in his brown eyes I was really starting to love.

"Can I have this dance?" Mickey asked softly and the butterflies returned to my stomach as I was stunned into silence, it seemed the girls were stunned into silence also as I felt both their eyes on Mickey and I.

"Are you sure?" I asked hesitantly, causing Mickey to chuckle gently and his smile widened - why did his smile always make my heart flutter like a bird desperate to take flight?

"Hell yes," Mickey grinned "you don't think I'd bring you as my date and not ask you to dance?"

"I... Well, I-" I stuttered, but Rani's foot kicking me hard under the table prompted me to speak properly before I made a fool of myself "yes, I would love to."

Tentatively, I took hold of Mickey's strong but warm hand and allowed him to lead me onto the dance floor. The music had turned to another slow song as Mickey turned to me, pulling me closer to him and letting my hands rest on his strong shoulders. My heart had officially let the small bird fly free as I felt strange and wonderful feelings as Mickey pulled me close to him and placed his hands gently on my waist, swaying us to the music. I couldn't deny it anymore, as much as I knew the repercussions of admitting it to another soul would break my heart... I could no longer lie to myself.

I was falling in love with Mickey Smith.

Mickey's soft smile was captivating as he pulled me closer, his breath soft on my ear as I leaned my head onto his chest.

"Thank you, for coming with me tonight..." Mickey whispered and I could hear the smile in his voice "you've made tonight perfect and I'm so glad I got to spend it with you."

"I should be thanking you, because this night has been really special for me to." I said as I looked up and smiled at Mickey's charming smile.

Tonight did feel like a fairy-tale and I could not remember ever feeling this happy, but I should have known it was too good to last.

Mickey

Later that night, when the party was finally over and we were ready to leave Eponine and I walked through the deserted car park towards my car. Eponine's shivers were impossible to ignore so without even thinking, I automatically took off my jacket and I wrapped it around her shoulders. I had to admit, I was seriously starting to like seeing Eponine wearing my jackets and she looked kinda sexy in them. Woah! Ease up, man.

She did look beautiful though, everything from her looks to her personality were beautiful perfection and I couldn't deny that I was attracted to her as well as crazy for her due to her amazing attitude on life and she always had something seriously interesting to say which made me want to listen. Yep, Ep was an absolutely awesome girl and I think I'm totally crazy for her.

As we reached the car, Eponine turned to me and smiled while wrapping my coat tight around her shoulders which made me feel weirdly smug that she was enjoying wearing my jacket.

"Would you like your coat back?" Ep asked, but I shook my head and stepped closer to her pulling the jacket more securely over her shoulders to keep warm and I couldn't stop myself from grinning as I noticed her blushing.

"It looks better on you," I said honestly, loving the way her amazing smile beamed at the compliment "I already told you look beautiful, didn't I?"

"Yes, you did." Eponine said softly, her giggle turning into a shudder as I brushed her dark brown hair behind her ear and my fingers brushed softly against her cheek. I was suddenly entranced by Eponine's full and soft looking lips, it drove me crazy as she bit on her lip nervously which just made her look even more sexier. Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me - if Eponine had told me to back off I would have done, but instead she hesitantly placed her hand on my cheek and her fingers brushed against my lips.

God, the effect this girl had on me was unreal.

I leaned closer to Eponine, holding her gently as I felt her breath against my lips and waited to see if this was what she wanted. The small smile on Ep's face said she did and she closed her eyes, not noticing my smile as I closed my eyes and moved to press my lips against hers in a gentle kiss.

There was a sharp pain against the back of my head - something or someone had hit me... hard and Eponine was pulled away from my arms as I collapsed to the gravel on the ground at my feet. Her screams was the last thing I heard before the world went black.

Author's Note: Thanks for reading guys and I hope you enjoyed this chapter, so make sure you leave a review to let me know what you think. I'm thinking of writing a companion fanfic to this story when I complete this story revolving around Luke and Clyde (it'll basically be like a prequel to this story and explore how they became more than friends and fell for each other, it'll be set several months before this story but it'll lead into A Timeless Love in much later chapters), but I wanted to know what you guys thought of this and whether you would like to read this story :)

I look forward to reading your reviews and your thoughts on the possible Clyde/Luke story :)
