Finally, the awakening of Wheeljack! *crickets chirping* Really? No one is excited? Oh yeah... everyone wants to see the Bee-Amelia romance already. So, I have decided to make this chapter a bit longer so you can get some romance in there for those people who are threatening to have OC's come over to my house. *coughcoughMakkennaWitwickycoughcough* By the way, could you? I want to get to know her, she seems really cool!
In case you forgot to go onto the links to see the clothes Amelia got, just go to the bottom of my profile and they are up there. Please let me know what you thought of the choice of clothes in a review!
Anyways, for all of those people who were only energetic enough to go onto this story because I have added some more pairings in there, NEWS FLASH! Those are only light romances. This whole series is going to revolve around Amelia. And yes, they are all different OC's. The ones that were mentioned last chapter?
And in case you were wondering, all of those things that I said happened since 2007 last chapter will actually be happening in my prequel story revolving around Skylar and Cassidy... didn't I already mention this in previous A/N's? oh well. It's a recap for all those people with memory problems.
Disclaimer: I only own Amelia, Skylar and Cassidy, my OC's and the plot. If you wish to use any, then please feel free to ask first. I will not say no.
Warning!: Displays violence and attempted violation! Also light to mid Amelia/Bee
Amelia's PoV 12:30pm
I had decided to keep the military uniform for now because I didn't want people to think I was getting cosy here or anything. To be honest, I was already beginning to see it as my home but people might criticise me for it. I was currently with Maggie, Jazz and Epps in the mess hall having lunch. I had my usual bowlful of different fruit, but also as a plus this time, I had a chocolate bar as well since Maggie said I needed more than just a bowl of fruit.
"Please Amelia, don't you have any embarrassing stories that your carrier told you about Optimus?" Jazz begged me, wanting to be able to make fun of his leader.
"I'm sorry Jazz," I started before picking up a random blueberry and placing it in my mouth and swallowing it. "But I don't have any embarrassing stories about Optimus. He never really did anything silly as far as I know of." I replied, trying to let him down easily.
"Really? Not even one silly story!?" Epps pleaded as I bit down into a papaya. Shame on all men for wanting to get the dirt on their friends.
"Shame on all of you. I can't believe that you would want to get the lows on Optimus! You should be disappointed in yourselves." Maggie scolded them. "But... do you have any romantic stories of Optimus and your mom? Those I really want to hear." Maggie pried, forcing me to grin widely.
"Now those I have millions of. What do you want to hear? How they met? First date? Anniversary? Proposal? The Wedding day? What?" I offered cheerfully.
"How they met. Defiantly." she replied back excitedly.
"Always start at the beginning. Good move. This was one of my favourite stories growing up, always got me to sleep, making me dream of my own prince charming." I rambled. "Sorry, okay. It was the middle of Winter and mom was in a quiet town centre when it happened. She was walking down the street chock-a-block with different vehicles. She had to get to her job because one of the brides were having a last minute dress crisis. She was a wedding dress designer you see, so you could imagine she was in quite a rush to get there as she used to like every wedding to be perfect." I started. By now, several more soldiers had gathered around, along with some holoforms. I could tell they were holoforms because they weren't wearing standard uniforms, they were dressed a lot more casually. If my beliefs were correct, judging from the colours of their clothes, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were there, along with Arcee and Chromia. "Now as I said, it was the middle of Winter and she was rushing around the streets of town. She told me that as she was doing so, she was wishing that someday she could find a man to call her own someday. Wishing that a man would come and swoop her off of her feet like no one else could What she didn't notice was the black ice on the path, so as she was rushing, in high heels, may I add, and the inevitable happens: she trips. But then, in my mom's words exactly, 'the heavens answered my prayers and sent me an angel from above'. Because at that exact moment, she happened to be walking past guess who's alt. mode..." I drifted off, leaving them to ponder for a second.
"Optimus' alt. mode!" a random soldier shouted out from the now massive crowd of soldiers.
"Yes! Whoever that was..." I said unsurely.
"Come on, I wanna know how it ends!" Chromia shushed everyone for me.
"Thank you Chromia, now where was I? Oh yeah!" I continued. "She fell right next to my dad's alt. mode. But before she could touch the ground. A pair of strapping, strong, big arms magically appeared wrapped themselves around her and pulled her up, holding her against his chest bridal style. He asked if she was okay with that deep baritone voice of his. She said it was the voice of angels. And being the modest person that she was, insisted that she was alright, although she was really shaken up. Now, being the man...uh 'bot? That he was, he gave her a ride to the wedding gown emporium. After that, he waited outside for her for two hours. When mom finally came out, it was dark and got a ride home with him. And it all started at that really. They kept on meeting and getting to know each other and just, hit it off I guess." I finished, leaving everyone in silence. Maggie was the first one to speak again.
"Aww! That was the most romantic thing I ever heard! Who knew Optimus had a side like that." she said, everyone mumbling and nodding in agreement.
"Why do you like that story so much Amelia?" Arcee asked me curiously.
"I like it so much because of the ice. If that ice hadn't been there, my mom wouldn't have slipped and dad wouldn't have needed to activate his holoform to save her, thus making them meet and get to know each other, become friends, start dating, eventually get married and have me. If that piece of ice hadn't been there, I would've never been born." I explained.
"That is so sweet Amelia." Epps stated. I blushed in embarrassment, the sheer amount of people here now starting to get to me. Suddenly, Lennox came running into the mess hall calling out my name. All the soldiers made a small pathway for him to get through.
"What is it Lennox? Is something wrong?" I asked in concern as he made a scene trying to get to me.
"Wheeljack's awake!" Lennox exclaimed. This sent happiness coursing through every vein, every limb, every muscle. In such a rush of excitement and happiness, I jumped out of my seat, probably giving a few people a heart attack, and ran out the mess hall in a rush to the med bay.
The halls were practically empty since everyone was either in a meeting or in the mess hall. Maybe one or two people in each hallway. I suppose many people had gone home for a while since it was the middle of Summer. If it was up to me, and if I had anywhere to go, I would go too. I think if I could go anywhere, I would go to New York, maybe go see some old friends and collegues. Possibly some other time? Yeah, gotta remember to set aside some time to do that. Let's see how much lag time I get after all this.
Suddenly, I felt myself pinned up against the wall. Hard. One hand was on my shoulder, while a forearm was pressing on my stomach firmly, forcing me to remain still. Fear flooded my eyes, evident if anyone looked for it.
"Well well well. Look who we have here boys: the 'Cons show girl." the man holding me said, grinning. Two more men came to his side. This was not good.
"What do you want?" I chocked out, not being able to breathe properly because of his pressing on my upper stomach. (A/N because when you breathe, your stomach goes up and down, not your chest.)
"We want you to stop lying about who you are. Show your true form you 'Con scum." he snarled at me. By now, he had lifted me up so much my feet couldn't touch the ground. I was getting scared. What were they talking about?
"I don't have... another form. I'm... not a Decepticon." I spluttered. I was in sheer pain. My stomach was starting to bruise and my shoulder felt like it was being torn off.
"What we gonna do with her, Arron?" the man on the left with ink on half his face asked the man who was holding me, which was called Arron.
"Teach her what happens when she doesn't obey the rules." he replied, not looking away from my fearful eyes. Then he chuckled. "Hold her up." he said, motioning for them to hold me up by my shoulders. I took this as my chance to get away. Swinging my leg back as far as the wall would let me and kicked the man in the hip. Damn. Missed. He grabbed his side and hissed. Then he glared at me with an evil look in his eyes. "Big mistake girly." he grinned.
Before I knew what was happening, I felt a fist to my stomach. The sudden force caused me to grunt in discomfort. I had been taking many worse things from Starscream over the past three years. This was like getting a paper cut: getting carpet burn or knocking your foot on the corner of a table. It was child's play. But this was coming continually, one blow after another. But it only made me grunt and hang my head. The way my head hung made it looked like I was defeated most likely so Arron stopped his blows.
"Had enough?" he chuckled in triumph. I raised my head to meet my gaze with his, laughing slightly.
"That all you got? I can keep this up all day." I commented, getting under his skin.
"I guess then, it's time to... kick it up a notch." Arron sneered. "Make sure she doesn't make any noise." he said to his cronies. A hand wrapped itself around my mouth, muffling me. Arron came right up to me, in my face. The smell of ash and too much cologne wafted up my nostrils, making me gag a bit from the overwhelming scent. What really made me petrified, was the feeling of fingers stroking my front, from top to bottom. The feeling made me squirm and wriggle in retaliation. On the third stroke, his hand stopped at the hem of my trousers and glided along them, slowly trying to get inside. I couldn't take it anymore and I did the first things that came to mind. I kicked Arron again, this time with perfect aim as he was much closer, making him pull away and cover his precious jewels. In shock, the man's grip around my mouth loosened, sadly not his grip on my shoulder though. I wormed my way away from his palm and bit his hand. This forced him to get his hand to flee, letting me finally able to make some noise.
And some noise I made.
I screamed as loud as I could, surely getting someone's attention. Continually I screamed, yelled, squealed. After what seemed like hours, but was only moments, someone came.
"Let her go!" he shouted, running down the hall. I couldn't see him as the two men either side of me were in my way.
"Brock, Harry! Let's get out of here!" Arron yelled to his cohorts, before turning to me. "This isn't over 'Con. Not by a long shot." he snarled before running off, as much as he could with a sore groin. His two friends let me go, making me fall to the floor and ran after him.
The soldier who saved me came running over to me, sliding down onto his knees to get down to my level. At least that's what I suppose what happened from the sounds that I heard. I had closed my eyes to stop the tears from falling, but mainly out of fear and relief. My whole body was shaking from fright. Making me jump, a pair of warm, soft hands came around my arms, pulling me into a loving embrace.
"Shh. It's okay. You're safe now Amelia. They're not going to hurt you. Shh." the man cooed. Slowly, I opened my eyes, tears now flowing out, to see a yellow and black stripy jumper. (A/N Holoform and jumper on profile) Then I realised that he wasn't a soldier. And the black and yellow jumper could only mean one thing.
"B-Bumblebee?" I asked, voice shaking. I looked up to see his bright blue, neon eyes.
"It's me Amelia." he replied, one of his hands reaching up to get the hair out of my face that covered my eyes. "Are you alright? They didn't hurt you?" he asked, worry lacing his voice. I couldn't take it and buried myself into his chest, crying on his jumper, bawling my eyes out. Bumblebee held me close to him and rocked me gently. "Let it out Amelia. That's it." he whispered into my hair. Needing to feel him closer, I grabbed his jumper in fistfuls, trying to keep him as close as I could. I could feel Bumblebee pull away a little bit and I panicked. But just as I was about to cry out for him, he wrapped his arms around me in a different position and picked me up bridal style. Feeling him around me settled me down very slightly, but enough to loosen my grip on his clothing. I didn't know where we were going and that scared me. But I couldn't find it within myself to stir up the courage to ask. My body still trembled, and almost as if reading all the signs, Bumblebee tightened his grip slightly more around my body, almost as if a signal of reassurance. Soon enough, I heard the whoosh of a door sliding open.
"What is it now!?" I heard an annoyed voice groan. The man sounded like Ratchet.
"Ratchet, Amelia got attacked in one of the halls by some soldiers." I heard Bee say to who was now clarified as Ratchet.
"Put her down on one of the berths. I'll see to her once I'm finished with 'Jack." he replied before I'm guessing continuing with Wheeljack. I felt Bee carry me over somewhere and before I knew it, I was on a soft fluffy bed. Due to being with other 'bots, I started trembling again. But Bee compensated by holding me tighter, and vise versa. Soon enough, a fizzling sound of a holoform solidifying crackled in my ears.
"Let her go Bumblebee so I can scan her fully." Ratchet instructed Bee.
"I don't think that's a good idea Doc." Bee replied. Doc. As in Doctor. Doctor was back. The Decepticons were all dead weren't they? What if they were back? Were they back for me? They had to be. No! No! No! They were going to take me away again! Hurt me, torture me... play with me.
"Bumblebee, do as I say." Ratchet said in a more threatening tone. Bumblebee started pulling away. But I jumped up and grabbed him.
"No! Please don't let them take me away again! Don't let Doctor take me! Please! Take me away! Don't let him hurt me!" I screamed, waterworks starting up again. A tingle zapped through my body.
"Frag, she's having a panic attack!" I heard Ratchet say. "Bee calm her down or I'm going to have to sedate her!" he yelled over my screamed. I was ripped away from Bee, by said 'bot. I tried to get back to his chest, but I was no match for his strength.
"Amelia? Amelia, look at me." he said. But I didn't want to look. I only wanted to crawl up into a ball and vanish. A warm hand lifted my chin, showing my tear-stained face.
"She said Doctor. Not a Doctor or the Doctor. Do you think she meant the 'Con's medic, Doctor?" I heard an unknown voice say from somewhere in the room.
"Amelia, look. I'm right here." Bee said, grabbing my hand and pressing it against his cheek. He felt real, he seemed real. "Okay? No one here is going to hurt you so long as I'm here. And I'm never going to leave you." he continued. I shook my head.
"Yes you will. They always do. No one ever stays." I rambled, not making sense of what I was saying.
"No, you're right. People do always leave." he continued. I started hyperventilating when he said that. "But even though Autobots may sometimes leave, we will always come back. It may not be in a minute or an hour, but we always come back to what's important. And you are important to me, to Maggie, to Lennox and Epps, to Optimus even. We're all going to be there." he soothed me while using his thumb to wipe away my drying tears.
"T-Thank you..." I croaked, forcing a smile.
"You don't need to smile if you're not happy." Bee replied.
"It takes more muscles to frown than to smile." I shot back weakly, smile fading.
"Then consider it exercise." he joked, making me smile.
"Much better when it comes from the heart... or should I say spark?" he asked, making me smile even wider.
"You believe me?" I asked hesitantly.
"No 'Con can get that scared, let alone latch onto an Autobot like there was no tomorrow." he chuckled.
"I'm sorry about that, by the way." I apologised, looking down in embarrassment. But he just lifted my chin again.
"There's no need. I was getting pretty lonely anyways." he grinned.
"Still, I'm sorry if I was so heavy for you to carry." I apologised again.
"Nah, light as a feather." Bee disregarded my apology.
"You're such a gentleman." I told him, laughing lightly.
"IF you don't mind, I would like to finish checking up on you." Ratchet interjected between me and Bee. All conversation between us two ceased. Once again, Ratchet started scanning me, thoroughly. Just as Bee started leaving, I grabbed his hand, getting him to turn to me.
"Please don't leave yet." I requested him. He smiled and nodded, coming back to stand next to me. It was only then that I noticed there was a new 'bot in the room, staring down at me.
"Hi there," I called out to him, waving with my free arm. "My name's Amelia Evans. I assume you're Wheeljack?" I asked him.
"Yes Miss Evans. So you're the human old 'Ratch told me about earlier hm?" he asked.
"Yes. And just Amelia is fine." I replied.
"Alright then Amelia. So I've been informed on very few facts. Can you tell me why you want me to build an energon-blood comparison unit?" he inquired.
"Well, that's a long story. You see..." I started, telling him about how my dad came to Earth once before and fell in love with my mom and then having to leave, me being with the 'Cons and everything that had happened in the last week.
"That's a pretty long story. And because it is so unusual, I will see into it that the unit is of top priority as soon as I get out of the med bay." Wheeljack promised.
"Thank you so much Wheeljack for doing this. But don't strain yourself. Take your time with it. I certainly don't mind spending a few more days here." I told him, warning him to be careful.
"But an energon-blood comparison unit won't be enough." Ratchet cut in, after listening to our conversation once he was done scanning me a few minutes ago. "If there is actually any energon in your system, which should've killed you anyways, there would be no way to confirm that it is Optimus' energon without an energon test, which for you will be painful because of you being half-human. But we will find a way to ease the pain for you." Ratchet said, smiling slightly at the end.
"It looks like Cassidy is wearing off on you isn't she?" I asked jokingly. He seemed to freeze up at that comment.
"How do you know about Cassidy, let alone that we're together?" he asked, advancing on me slightly, but Bee came in front of me for protection.
"Maggie told me all about what's happened since you all first got here. Including who Cassidy and Skylar were because many people mentioned them and I didn't know who they were. They sort of filled me in on the information that I had missing." I explained calmly to him. He seemed to relax a bit at my explanation.
"Well... you seem to have recovered from your panic attack just now, but I suggest that you go and rest. You can sleep, go to the rec. room and talk with some of the 'bots. Just don't do anything strenuous." he told me, before turning to Bumblebee. "You go 'round with her for the rest of the day since she seems so attached to you and she needs someone to watch over her so this doesn't happen again. No if's, and's, or but's." he ordered him. Bee helped me down from the berth by holding me gently by my waist and twirling me around 180 degrees. "Now get out of my med bay." he threatened, sub-spacing a wrench.
"You two lovebirds better get out of here." Wheeljack warned us. We didn't need to be told twice as we dashed out of the med bay doors.
Several hours later
It had been about seven hours since the panic attack I had and nothing really had been bothering me about it anymore apart from Arron's final words. It was probably just an empty threat like many things were.
Me and Bee were sitting in the rec. room since Bee needed to be near his alt. form for a while if he wanted to keep up his holoform much longer than a few hours. So we ended up sitting on his hood.
"...So when they came to, Sides and Sunny were in the brig with their crotch plates painted polka-dot pink and purple." Bee finished telling me.
"Wow. No one messes with Skylar's man then. How did she even reach up there?" I asked awkwardly.
"She climbed up their legs and stood on them while they were in forced stasis." Bee explained. At that moment, Optimus walked into the with a look that showed he was looking for someone. I tried to hide myself with Bee's shoulder but to no avail. He saw me.
"Amelia, could I speak with you in private please?" he requested, his big towering body seeming to loom over us. I looked to Bee unsurely.
"It'll be alright Amelia. I'll see you tomorrow okay?" he asked hopefully. It was really sweet that he wanted to spend more time with me even though he didn't really know me too well. I smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. Tomorrow, at the mess hall, at... 9:30? That okay?" I asked him.
"Fine. See ya tomorrow." he farewelled before deactivating his holoform and nudging me off his hood gently. Once he was gone, I felt really insecure and couldn't feel the safe warmth around me anymore that he provided. It felt like part of myself was leaving me when he was leaving, like it wanted to be with him.
Not wanting to keep the Autobot leader waiting, I hurriedly jogged to the other side of the room. Strangely enough, he lowered his hand? Only 'Cade ever let me stand on his hand. It was so strange. Plus, with Optimus being so much taller, how could I be sure he wouldn't drop me? I looked up at him and saw him staring back. There were so many emotions going through his optics: confusion, grief, stress and underneath all of those conflicting emotions, I saw a small glimmer of what looked like love. To see he held some emotion towards me other than hate, the opposite actually, was breath-taking. Or maybe that was because he was remembering my mom through me. Probably is. Most likely still hates me. Cautiously, I stepped onto his awaiting hand. He slowly lifted it up so that I couldn't feel the force of gravity too much, then started walking down the hallway he just came from. I couldn't help but ask:
"How did you know that I was in the rec. room?" I asked curiously. He took a quick glance towards me before turning away.
"I didn't. You just happened to be in the room at the time." he replied, supplying very little information to me. The way he was talking to me was not pleasing me at all. I'm pretty sure he talked to Megatron with more respect than me, and he tried to kill him, and succeeded!
"Look Optimus," I said sharply and not in my unusual soft tone, catching him by surprise. "I know you probably think I'm some lying 'Con scum who is trying to pull off the impossible to kill you and all of your closest friends that you treasure and love. Plus bringing a dangerous 'Con into your territory, but you need to see past that and all that science says about inter-species... stuff. What ever Ratchet said, and just see that right now you treating me like this is really hurting me inside. In fact, it's making me feel like my heart will give out from pain!" I practically yelled. "So if you're just going to treat me like a glitch who you would rather have be somewhere else, put me down right this second or treat me with at least some decency and respect. That is all I am asking. You can hate me in your own time." I told him. He seemed to be a bit frozen from what I said, just taking it all in. Then he did something that I least expected: he smiled, and laughed slightly.
"You sure do act like Natalia." was all he said.
"Really? Mom said that I got her looks, your eyes and most of your personality with a small dash of hers." I told him. "And then some." I added.
"...Is it true that I have been hurting you by my actions and neglectance?" he asked me. I nodded. "Then I apologise. It won't happen again." he said.
"What... what happens when Wheeljack has built the machine and the tests have been done? It's not like if it comes out positive that 'this'" I started, gesturing between ourselves. "Is simply going to snap together and be perfect like a normal family. It'll still be like this. All messed up and awkward. Neither of us could barely look each other in the eye when I got here. What will happen? Will me try make it work? Will we forget about it? Leave it as it is? What?" I asked him, sitting down in his palm.
"I am not completely sure. But if what you say is true, then I would like to make it work." he replied, making me smile.
"I'd like that too." I said.
So what do you think? I've got Optimus to warm up to Amelia a little bit. But it was hard trying to think in Optimus' pedes. Please tell me what you think. I would like to get to 70 reviews, meaning I will need five. Please do because it makes me feel like my work isn't good enough when people don't review. But most importantly,
TELL ME WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THE BEE/AMELIA MOMENT! HOPE IT WAS ENOUGH TO SATIATE.
