Kami, she's going to be the death of me. When she innocently grabbed me in the bedroom, I nearly died. I couldn't control what happened after that and the only thing that stopped me was Rin waiting for us in the living room. But when she came downstairs dressed the way she was I was instantly turned back on so imagine how me and my beast nearly died when she whispered so seductively in my sensitive ear and then gripped me again, knowing full well what she was doing. Kami was I ready to pounce on her. I hated Kikyo with every fiber of my being at that moment for unknowingly cock blocking. But, if it hadn't been for Rin, I'd probably be with her now. When I had seen her bend over, my beast pushed me to let her feel me aligned at her core and it took everything I had to not hump her right there. Granted I had to add in that extra 'oomph' and I almost regretted it, almost. The smell of her arousal sent me running for the hills. The car drive was silent except for Rin's soft singing and Kagome occasional humming with her.
We reached the mall in a matter of minutes and Kagome nearly bolted out of the car along with Rin and I sighed, already preparing myself for the amount of bags I would have to carry...until I spotted a lone shopping cart. Dashing over to the cart and back to the girls, Kagome looked back and sighed as Rin ran to the cart and climbed in.
"So what exactly are we getting for her?" Kagome whispered to me and I looked at her before looking away.
"I don't know." I said and smirked when I felt a spike of her anger.
"How do you not know?"
"And what will you be getting her?" I turned to her and she sputtered and with a blush, she huffed and incoherent reply.
"None of your business."
"Hn." I said to her before Rin and Kagome "ooh'd" at a store with dresses. Silently sighing, I walked into the store behind them, silently analyzing each dress that caught Rin's eye...and analyzed any dress Kagome wore.
"What you think about this one, Gome?" Rin said, holding up a puffy royal blue dressed and Kagome grimaced.
"I mean, if you want to look like a big blueberry then I guess it's okay." Rin giggled and put the dress back before grabbing Kagome's hand and dragging her further into the store. Briefly looking around, I caught sight of two mannequins. One was a woman mannequin dressed in a strapless Heart-shaped white dress that was tight from the chest to the hips and flowed from the knees down like water and had sky blue petals along the hems of the dress. The second was a child-like mannequin holding onto the first mannequins hand. It adorned a dress similar to that of the first mannequins but this dress was a white Sweetheart A-Line dress that was short in the front but got longer in the back and on the tip of the dress was the same sky blue petal and a sky blue ribbon was tied about the waist.
"Kagome." I called for her and she looked at me from her short distance away and I motioned with my head for her to come. With a eye roll, she grabbed Rin's hand and they both came to me. Instantly, Rin showed an open appreciation to the dresses and Kagome looked at it longingly. Nodding, I looked for one of the nearest workers...to find one gawking at me. "Woman." She snapped out of her reverie and quickly scrambled to my person.
"H-hai!" Short, tan skinned, diluted ambers, brown hair with golden tips and light brown highlights was cut along sleek shoulder blades. Shifting slide to slide lazily was a brown tail with a gold tip. The girl wore a light brown sleeveless vest, a black crop top and black high waisted ripped jeans and knee length brown boots that matched the vest. In short, the girl was rather appealing.
"We need your assistance." Her eyes blinked once before she glanced behind me and her eyes widened.
"Kagome!?" At her name being called, said woman snapped her head to the girl and her eyes widened and a smile broke onto her face, and I studied the hot blush that took over the girls face.
"My kami, Aria! It's been so long! How have you been!" Kagome walked up to the girl named Aria and hugged her, the girls face snuggled between lush breast and my beast whined, wishing that he was the one being hugged.
"I've been okay. Mostly been helping out my mate with his new stores. Speaking of which, how do you like this one?" She cocked her head to the side and Kagome eyes widened even more.
"This is your store?"
"His but yes. He owns this store." The girl shrugged and Kagome ohh'd.
"Well so far I like it. Sesshomaru, this is my one of my old classmates from like Middle School. Aria Hinamori. Aria, this is my niece Rin Taishou and her father and my brother-in-law, Sesshomaru Taishou." Aria bowed at the waist to me and Rin and I only nodded. "I also teach her son at my college and her other son at the high school." My eye slightly widened before anyone could see it, apparently Kagome caught it though. "I know, she looks so young. Very old though."
"Like Buyo?" Rin asked and Kagome giggled as Aria growled.
"Yes, like Buyo."
"Screw you. Anyway, what do you need help with?" She asked and saw the hesitation in Kagome.
"Wha-Oh no, we were only brow-"
"These dresses. They need a fitting done." I turned to the girl and she nodded at me, knowing that Kagome was about to turn it down.
"No really, we-" Kagome began to say but Aria simply took her by the shoulders and started leading her to the changing rooms, Rin giggling as we followed and Kagome glared at me from the corner of her eyes and I smirked.
"Don't worry. You're in great hands. I wouldn't steer you wrong." Aria said with a bright smile as she nearly shoved Kagome into the changing rooms.
Fifteen minutes later, the right size dress for Kagome was finally picked out and Rin and Kagome were both trying on the dress. More so Kagome, Rin just wouldn't come out unless her "matching buddy" as she called it was ready to "walk the run-way".
"So I guess it was true about Kagome and Inuyasha marrying." Aria said from her spot next to me on the sofa, eyes locked on the door that Kagome was behind with a far away look.
"Hn. You wasn't at the wedding." I said and she flinched slightly before her tail drooped.
"I wanted to...but couldn't. I wasn't...right with myself at the time." I silently analyzed the neko next to me and it didn't take a genius to see the obvious want in the girl eyes. The question was, who was she wanting after. I had a sneaking suspicion but I didn't want to say anything yet.
"Hn."
"If it comes out good, you're buying it, right?" She asked without looking at me and I nodded and she reciprocated the action with a smile. "She's going to be furious."
"I know." I replied with a smile. Just as I got done speaking, not only did Kagome come out of the changing room at the same time as Rin, but Kikyo texted my phone with a "We need to talk when we get home." With a small rumble from my chest, I replied "If you even come back that is." Promptly putting my phone away, I was made aware of the arousal coming from the woman next to me and the embarrassment coming from Kagome. Glancing at the neko, I followed her line of sight and my jaw nearly dropped at the sight before me and I knew, I was getting those two dresses.
With a twist, Kagome blushed harder and looked down at herself unsure. "Well?"
"You and your niece both look beautiful. You should definitely get it." Aria said, the light hue on her cheek never leaving and she refrained, with much noted effort, from not letting her hands travel over Kagome.
"Really? Well...I dont see why not...how much is it?" Kagome began to question and the neko tried to keep her from reading the tag but the wince on Kagome's face said a lot. "N-never mind." Aria glanced at me as Kagome went back into the room and I shrugged.
"Oh...are you sure?" Aria insisted and I heard Kagome's sigh.
"Yes, I'm sure. I dont have enough for it and it's too beautiful really. Sorry." Kagome hung the dress on the door and with a faint whistle that I knew only the neko would I hear, I motioned to the dress and she caught on with a glint in her eye and a smile.
"Alright. I will just take you and Rin's dress back, okay?" She asked, already haven gotten Rin's dress as Rin waited next to me for Kagome.
"Hai." Kagome replied, unaware to the transaction that's about to occur. Aria grabbed the dress and with a nod to me, made a beeline to the register and I bent to Rin's height.
"Stay here until I com back or until Kagome come out. Understood?"
"Yes daddy." She kissed my forehead and I ruffled her head before flashing to the register.
"How much for the dresses?"
"Well, Kagome's dress is $600 and your daughters dress is $270.99."
"Hn." I said as I handed her my credit card. "Alright, your total is $300." She said as she swiped my card and I stared at her before she blushed and coughed, "Kagome's dress is on the house." She handed me back my card and I stood staring at her with a bored look.
"You have feelings for her." She blinked before she sighed.
"Hai. Always have. I'm happily mated, don't get me wrong. But Kagome has always called out to my animal side. No matter what. And, well, she's Kagome. Surely you understand." She held my gaze with a smirk at that last part and I growled. "Everyone has their secrets, Milord. You're not exempt from it." She said as we started to walk back to the girls, my eyes trained ahead.
"Never said I was."
"No. But you try too hard to cover it up and therefore make it easier to see." I didn't say anything after that because we reached the changing rooms where Kagome and Rin were waiting.
"What did you get?" Kagome asked as she reached my side with a bubbly Rin.
"I got Rin's dress." I said and Rin smiled even wider.
"Yay now on to the next store!" Rin said cheerfully and with that began marching toward the store exit with me following her before I glanced back at Kagome to see her hugging the Neko with a wide smile and exchanging number. Kagome then jogged to reach my side once more and sad diluted eyes drifted my way and I nodded at her as we left.
"So, now we got to get her shoes, I still have to find something for her, gift wise, and for myself to wear not to forget Inuyasha and Shippo." Kagome said as we walked past stores and what not, observing whatever caught Rin's interest.
"Shippo?" I questioned her at the mention of this 'Shippo' character. Faintly, I remembered Sango mentioning something about a Shippo but I didn't pay attention.
"Oh that's right. You don't know. Well, I'm a mother. Not a actual mother but I found a Fox Demon being chased by some human boys so I saved him and adopted him." Kagome said with a smile and I looked at her with a bland look.
"So like what you did with Inuyasha." I summed it up and she burst into laughter with a nod and I enjoyed every second of hearing that beautiful laugh.
"Yes, so to speak. It's like dealing with two kids, Inuyasha and Shippo. Both crave attention and they can never really get along. "
"Hn. Welcome to the life I have lived when growing up." I said before my phone vibrated and I glanced at it to see three messages from Sango. The first two were picture messages and the last was a regular message that read "I got the stuff. Dropping it off at your place and I will certainly let myself in. Have fun with Kagome!" and with a shake of my head, I put my phone away.
"Eh. I'm pretty sure you was hard to deal with as well." Kagome piped up and I glared at her from the side.
"How do you figure?"
"Well, look at you now. Plus that all high and mighty attitude and also the I-Get-What-I-Want-Because-I-Am-Sesshomaru-And-A-Inu Daiyoukai' attitude."
"As long as you understand my outlook of things." I chuckled as she playfully hit my arm and we followed Rin into a shoe store. Once inside, I received another text from Sango that read "Everything is officially set up. Are you sure you're ready for this? And for Kagome?". Looking up from Sango, my eyes found Kagome's person as she helped Rin find shoes to match her new dress before her eyes found mine and she smiled at me, successfully making my heart stop and setting my determination. With elegance and swiftness, I replied "Yes" to Sango's last text. Walking behind Kagome, my phone vibrated once more and Sango sent a text that read, "I bet you was staring at Kagome as you sent that text =D" and I rolled my eyes, deciding to not answer since it was indeed true.
"Alright Sesshy, which one? White or blue?" Kagome turned to me, holding a pair of white flats with a white ribbon in one hand and in the other was a pair of sky blue shoes with white petals on it that latched around the ankle. Analyzing the shoes and then Rin, I picked the blue ones and Rin groaned while Kagome smiled victoriously. "Told you."
"Traitor." Rin said to me with a pout and I nuzzled her head and she beamed up at me. I didn't miss how Kagome watched on with a happy yet sad smile.
"I'm beat." Kagome said as she got into the passenger seat and I nodded in agreement as I got in the drivers seat. Rin was in the seat behind Kagome's fast asleep and a dozen plus bags was packed into the back of my 2012 Lincoln Navigator.
"As am I."
"I don't know how one kid can get so much stuff." Kagome said while sipping on some type of Tea and I shrugged.
"She's the only one so whatever she wants, she gets."
"And you weren't the only one, so what's your excuse?" She looked at me and I smirked.
"I'm Sesshomaru."
"Oh my kami." She face palmed and I chuckled as my phone vibrated once more with a message from Sango. 'Did you tell her yet?' She asked and I replied no. Glancing at the time which read '7:54' I knew Sango was going to wait until 9 or 10 to ask if I told her. "Come on." Kagome said, breaking into my thoughts. "Let's go. You're more than welcome to spend the night. Inuyasha and Shippo won't be home."
"I can stay for the night. Rin has her studies in the morning with Kaede. So she can't." I looked back at the sleeping girl and I can tell that even from her slumber, she was pouting at not being able to stay with Kagome.
"Then you're staying home with her." Kagome said as I started driving and I shook my head.
"No, I'm dropping her off first amongst the rest of her things then we will return to your manor afterwards." I said and I felt the woman's anger spike slightly.
"Why? Just stay home. I don't need you to keep me company." She crossed her arms and glared at me and I glared at her back.
"Don't fight me woman. It's for my own reasons plus we need to discuss some things." I said to her and I saw her curiosity peak but now wasn't the time for questions nor answers. Without a doubt, Kikyo told Inuyasha that I knew of their affairs and I know my brother. He would probably have people watching me and possibly Kagome to find out if anything was said. Inuyasha, though a half breed and not really accepted, was feared and respected. Even had some followers. They're loyal to him, yes, but also because I ordered them to serve him as their lord for as long as they live or as long as he lives. So, to keep the two females in my car safe from any harm, I wouldn't say a word until safely behind closed doors. Especially Kagome's door. Inuyasha's followers wouldn't enter any range that may enter Kagome's range of sense; they feared her even more.
"Can you at least just tell me what it's about it?" She asked with pleading eyes and with a sigh, I turned to her at a red light and let her see my pleading eyes.
"I can not. Just wait." At the widening of her eyes and her sudden silence, I knew she understood that this was important and had to be spoken about alone.
"Alright, now spill." Kagome said as we made our way into her room and I leaned against her window, fully aware of everything going on and mostly paying attention to the shadows.
"Kikyo...has been cheating on me. I found out almost two weeks ago."
"What?" I looked at Kagome as she said that so quietly and I saw the look of hurt and anger on her face.
"Hn. Mother said the same." I crossed my arms then and closed my eyes, steeling myself for the hurt I was about to bring to Kagome but it was bound to happen. It was better for me to tell her than for her to find out on her own and also know that I knew about it.
"I'm so sorry." Kagome apologized and just as I opened my eyes to tell her not to, arms was wrapped around my neck and my face was in her breasts and I was quickly getting lost in her smell. "I'm so sorry that you and Rin have to go through this." I blinked from my spot in her breasts and I hugged her back, still aghast however.
"It is alright. But-"
"Do you know who she cheated on you with?" She cut me off as I began to get ready to tell her who it was with and as I looked at her from my spot. Looking into those bright, worried and angry orbs that was angry for me and my Rin, I couldn't bring myself to telling her. I was strong enough to overcome anything, but never was I strong enough to really hurt this caring woman that held me like she did before in our youths. So, with a sigh, I resigned myself to fates hands.
"No."
"Well, don't stress it. What will you do with her now?" She looked at me and I looked away from her.
"Divorce. She has lied to me and betrayed me and another. She has pretty much broken two families whether she has realized or not. I doubt she even cares."
"Two families?"
"Mine and whoever she cheated on me with. I believe he's married. Or was." Kagome nodded in understanding before biting her lip with a sigh and looked at the window.
"Kikyo...she has never been the greatest person to grow up with and neither was she greatest person to people in general. But to say that Kikyo don't care, don't you think that's...kind of harsh?" I rolled my eyes as she tried to defend Kikyo then.
"No. And you know it. I feel like I'm not doing enough by describing her but I won't go any further. You know your sister as do I. I understand that you want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but don't be foolish and blind yourself to the possibilities." I said to her, hoping that this didn't start anything but as I know Kikyo, I know Kagome when it comes to those she cares for. Especially family. She will defend them with every last breath.
"'Possibilities'? Possibilities of what Sesshomaru? Kikyo isn't some heartless person! She just has a very round about way of showing how she truly feels." She ended her sentence with taking a step back from me and crossing her arms in anger and I sighed, coming annoyed.
"I do not wish to argue about this. Just want to get you to open your eyes in case of anything happening and/or coming to light. I do not wish to see you hurt."
"So instead you accuse my sister of being a heartless person because she cheated on you? No, Sesshomaru, it doesn't work like that." Her voice grew in octave and I had it.
"The accusations are not coming from thin air. Remember all the shit she has put you through back all those years ago. Way before your father died too. Or did you forget that me and the half breed has been there for some of it along with Sango and the monk? Unless Kikyo has suddenly become a saint in your eyes." I strolled up to her then and looked into her angry orbs that didn't back down. "I wouldn't even be surprised to find out if she cheated on me with Inuyasha. But only time will tell." I said dangerously low and I knew at that very moment that I started something that won't end well.
"Okay and what about you? You're accusing her of all this shit, and what about yourself Killing Perfection? Or did you suddenly forget about that title? Need I remind of you Ice Prince, Death Lord, Bloody Dog, all of the other shit that you have been named and have done? Yes, Kikyo is not a saint. But neither are you! You actually earned those names yourself! No one else did it but you! Kikyo wasn't out killing for fun. Or because she got into a fight with me! No! You did! You want to complain about her so damn much, why didn't you been leave her?!"
"For Rin's sake. Also to save your families face. Kami knows how much your family needs to save face with the amount of shit that both YOU and KIKYO have brought to your family. I know very well every last thing I have done, and not one do I regret. In fact," I got close to her ear and wanted to growl when she still didn't back down and didn't even shift, "you ask me why did I not leave her from the beginning. Why did you not leave Inuyasha for all these years? You've known for a long time of his shenanigans. So why not have been left?" I straightened myself with a smirk and my beast was raging from inside, I myself wanted to kill myself but I couldn't stop. She dared defended the woman that have not only hurt me and my child, but she has also hurt her sister way more than Kagome has realized.
And it made me see red.
I saw the hurt in Kagome's eyes knowing that I was indeed right and that she couldn't really retort back. I saw and knew I won this argument and I should have left it at that. But I couldn't. I was becoming more furious and at a rapid rate and I wasn't sure where it was coming from, I just couldn't stop. "This has been going on for years and is still going on. So why not leave him yet? As I said, you have blinded yourself so of course trying to talk to you about your sister wouldn't get anywhere. If I didn't know any better, I would think your a glutton for pain and hurt cause you're still with him. You know, I wouldn't even be surprised to find out if Kikyo and Inuyasha were cheating on us with each other, as I already said. Considering their background. Or did you choose to be blind from that as well-" I stopped speaking as my face turned harshly to the right and suddenly, whatever anger I felt was gone and all I could feel was something on my cheek burning and immense pain along with something wet. Looking to Kagome, her hand was hanging in the air and I realized, she slapped me. Her face was red with anger and her eyes with filled with tears but she wouldn't let them fall.
"Screw you Sesshomaru. Yes, I blinded myself to it all. Why? Cause unlike you, I'm capable of moving on and forgiving. I'm able to love someone. Unlike you! I'm in love with Inuyasha if you hadn't realized you fucking jerk! He's been there through it all and vice versa. So I wouldn't expect you to understand. You only love yourself and let's not forget Rin. So I apologize, your capable of loving one other thing than yourself. Everything else is inferior to you or is cut down for even so much as standing in your presence. So how did I stay? No I did not blind myself. I stayed out of love. When you love someone, you'd do anything for them. Support them, help them, love them, take care of them, stay through all the bullshit. You sacrifice your happiness for theirs and that's what I have been doing! Unlike you! Yes, Kikyo is wrong for cheating. Totally wrong. But for you to turn on me like that because of her, fuck you. I'm defending my sister cause your disrespecting her and this happens. If you even loved her, you two could've been worked on things. Like her and Rin-!"
"And realize that I have tried everything in my power! I shouldn't have to force a woman to get in touch with her motherly instincts and be a mother to a her daughter! From the second she is with pup, she should be prepared to do that! So don't try to speak from what I let you in to, woman. I've tried with her as much as you're saying you've tried. However unlike you, I wont be a fool to think that she loves me. For if she did, she wouldn't be able to cheat. You're in love with a man who's not in love with you in the slightest. If so, where would he be right now? Here! He would be arguing with you, not I! If he truly loved you, you would've been mated by now. You would've had actual kids instead of having to depend on strays and adopting them. You wouldn't have had to pull his teeth and ears to get him to stop cheating. And look, you did that and he continues to cheat! So, does he love you Kagome? The only person in love, is you and your a fool for it. He never loved you because if he did, he would've never been able to cheat. The same way if Kikyo loved me, she wouldn't have cheated."
"Just leave Sesshomaru. I'm done with this. Go." She sat down on her bed, both of us panting from anger and I stared at her before walking away without a single word nor a glance back at her person. I let myself out of the house and didn't even bother to lock her door. Why help a person who didn't want help? Getting into the car, I breathed deeply as Kagome's smell still lingered strongly in the car and I looked to the back where Kagome's dress was and I cursed loudly before slamming on the acceleration and racing out of there, Sango already on dial.
"Hello?"
"My place. Now." I promptly hung up and raced to my place, knowing Sango would be there five minutes later. Coming up, I didn't even park my car. I just got out, entered the empty house, went to my dojo and proceeded to break everything. Five minutes later and I was sitting in the middle of a torn dojo alone and full of regrets along with a angry and howling beast before I joined in with its howling.
I may have pushed away the one thing I've always cared about in this world.
Whooo! What a chapter!
Before, anyone kills me...at least they're definitely getting a divorce. This was necessary, honestly. Some relationships need that one fight that will somehow make them stronger. Plus, my hands and mind was in sync and was just flowing, couldn't stop it. But yes, Sesshy wasn't able to gather the strength needed to tell Kagome the whole truth and as you can see even if he had, there's a chance Kagome would've denied it unless there was actual proof. Even then she may have still denied it just because she wouldn't want to face the fact that two of the closest people in her life would hurt her like that.
And for all my females that have loved, ya know. That's all I'm going to say. Ya know. It's hard once a female loves and get attached. Ya can say whatever you want but ya have had or have that one guy you'd do and ignore anything for. Just because you love them and you can forgive them. You have other females that just say screw it, I come first. But yeah, Ya know how it is to be in love and stick with the guy even when he wasn't good. And that's Kagome's predicament.
So sorry if this chapter made a lot of you guys upset but this was a necessity. Ya will see why in the upcoming chapters.
