Chapter 11: "Resolution"

"A doctor, huh… That's awesome! I believe you can do it, Tsubaki-kun!" Saaya complimented.

"Thank you," he smirked.

The tsundere turned at Sasuke, "By the way you're done eating right? Let's take a stroll!"

"OK. Those guys did ask us to walk around." Sasuke closed the bento with its plastic case and gave it to his date. "Here, Saaya. It was a pleasure."

His words made Saaya very bashful but happy in the heart at the same time, "Hee hee… I'm glad you liked it, Tsubaki-kun." She said while putting the bento back into her handbag. Saaya was extremely delighted about this. It was like Christmas already for her. It was reasonable; she made a homemade bento for the guy she has a crush on and he looked really satisfied. Any girls in the world will also happy if the exact thing happened to them. However, it's an improvement for Saaya because she usually just sulking when she received credits due-to her tsun-tsun behavior.

There was another couple who quickly filled the empty seat Sasuke and Saaya had just used. It seems like the park is getting more and more crowdier. "I wonder if those guys have caught the culprit already," Sasuke said to himself.

Meanwhile, at a café not too far away from them, Switch and Captain are watching through Switch's laptop. He can monitor what the security cameras see thanks to his superb programming skill.

"Have you found anything weird Switch?" asked Captain who's sitting in front of him.

"[Not yet]" he answered.

"I see," she said. The girl with pigtail sipped her tea afterwards. She unconsciously gazed outside the window with blank face. "Tsubaki-kun and Saaya looks happy… I wonder if they actually enjoy this fake date."

Switch diverted his focus to Captain, "[Jealous?]"

"W—what? Of course not!"

"[Reaaaally?]"

"No. Really."

"[Really, really, reallyy?]"

"Really, really, really! S-stop teasing me, Switch!"

"[It's okay. I won't tell anyone.]" He said, giving his thumb-up.

"Switch! Please."

With that, Switch backed off of her and concentrated back to his laptop's screen. Awkward silence grows between the two of them, which makes them uneasy. From all of her numerous visits to the campus support club's room, Captain became pretty close to Switch, although not as close as she is to Bossun and Himeko. She enjoys his stupid jokes he usually shown to his clubmates. Captain, being a bright and cheerful person as she is, couldn't let this atmosphere between her and her close friend whirling any longer. Her topic, however, is far too unpredicted to Switch's expectation.

"But… Switch. What if they truly enjoy it?"

The secretary didn't answer quickly. He was under the impression that all his teasing just now about Captain having an affair to the ex-president of student council was true. "What on earth have you done to them, Tsubaki? Are you trying to live up the issue yourself?" he said to himself in his brilliant mind. He wonders how he should answer the dark-brown haired girl. "[That's good for them then. I'm happy if they are happy.]" He said his final answer through his voice synthesis software.

"I see," she reacted, in a wistful voice. "That's what a best friend do, right?" She looked down to the surface of her tea, "Guess I will just do that… Yeah."

"[Good luck, Cap'n. The ball is still rolling. Hohoho]"

"S—Switch! You did it again!"

Suddenly, Switch caught up something unusual from the surveillance camera. He quickly sent an email to Bossun who's acting as the amusement park's mascot, Dodo The Yellow Bird, at the moment.

"YOU GOT MAIL!"

Soon as Bossun heard the ringtone, he stopped waving at the tourists and ran to the back of the haunted house building. He looked around to confirm that he's alone before he took off his mask, "It's from Switch! Does he finally find the guy?"

"Bossun! What's wrong?"

"Ki—Kirino The Fat Girraffe?"

"IT'S ME HIMEKO, YOU DUMBASS! What kind of girraffe calls you by your nickname?"

"No. Girraffes don't even speak."

"I'm a human!"

"Enough about the joke. We are in the middle of a mission!" he remarked while his partner pouting her anger in the background. "Take a look at this, Himeko."

She took off her mask, revealing her beautiful blond hair. "Let's see… Hmm? It's a photo from Switch, huh? So what?"

"Look at the bushes here," he pointed.

"This is… a camera? It's aiming for… Tsubaki and Saaya!"

"Yes."

The phone suddenly rang again in Bossun's hand, "YOU GOT MAIL!"

"Ah, another email from Switch!" said Himeko who's peeking from Bossun's neck.

"… So it's this guy?!" He shouted.

"What? You know this gloomy guy? Eh? Bossun, where are you going? Wait for me!"

At the same time on the other side of the park, a cellphone beeped.

"It's from Usui."

The girl approached the short-haired boy to take a peek at his phone's screen, "What does he say, Tsubaki-kun?"

"He found our guy," he said. "And apparently, like Shimura said, I know him."

"He's hiding under the bush behind that ride's fences! Let's go get him, Tsubaki-kun!" Said Saaya after seeing the picture Switch just sent.

Sasuke shook his head, "No. Usui said it's Fujisaki's and Onizuka's job. I agree with him."

"Then what should we do?"

"Line up for the ride. We continue our fake date to buy some time for Fujisaki," he uttered. "It should be a realistic one to avoid him flee."

Blood rushing to the top of Saaya's head when Sasuke said something about being realistic to their date. She understands that he was suggesting the right thing. To fool the culprit they should act like a real couple. That way, the offender will try to take as many shots as possible. Even with all those sense, Saaya still can't stop fidgeting on her feet. "Should I hold his hand? But it's embarrassing if the girl start first!" she thought. She's hoping that Sasuke will man up to do the initiation. But then again, she realizes that this is Sasuke she's talking about. It's more like he's clueless and too dense to do so. However…

Sasuke suddenly grabbed Saaya's arm and pulled her closer to his body.

Saaya held her breath to compress her urge to yell. She slowly turns her head to look at the ex-president, "Tsu—Tsubaki-kun?"

"What? We need to act realistically, remember? So I'm using the same method as the protagonist of one of the book my mother recommended for me as inspiration to write your love letter," he replied.

"B—but! But this is too far! You could just hold my hand!"

"Is that so? Then, I'll just…"

He loosened his grip on Saaya's humerus and moved it to her hand, filling the gap between their fingers. The sensation even has made the dense Sasuke flustered. Through the pulse from their fingers, they could feel each other's heartbeat. It's gradually getting faster and stronger. Especially Sasuke's when the girl suddenly leans her head to his chest.

"Tsubaki-kun… I can hear your heartbeat like this." After she said that, every sound around them is depleted from Sasuke's ears. He then has his focus on Saaya's blushing face. He wanted to respond to her statement just now but he failed as the girl spoke again, "Tsubaki-kun… Would you have another date with me some other time?"

Now that he understands what he can expect during dates, Sasuke couldn't help but to flush a bit thanks to Saaya's request. "Y—Yeah… It's fine by me…" He turned his head away, "After graduation at least..."

Saaya moved her head from Sasuke's chest. Her eyes were sparkling, "Re—really?"

"Yeah. Why not? I'm sure Fujisaki and the others will also agree."

She was frozen on her feet. Can't believe he still make such retort. "Stupid Tsubaki-kun," she reacted quickly.

"Eeh? Why?"

"Try to understand my feeling a little, stupid. You're too dense!"

"D—dense? I'm not dense! Fujisaki is!"

Not too far from them, Bossun sneaked towards the culprit's hiding spot and successfully approached the gloomy, black haired guy. "This isn't a good place to stalk people. As a criminal mastermind you should think better, Kurusu from the newspaper club!"

"What? H—how could you find me?"

"Heh! Don't mess with Sket Dan!"

Kurusu managed ran away from Bossun, but Himeko blocked the exit. "Ah. Onihime without her stick is nothing!" he yelled.

"What? He'z lookin' down at ME, huh?" Himeko took out something hidden behind her back. It was a folding stick. "Portable Flagrance MK-I!"

"That was a lousy name. It must be Switch's idea," Bossun face-palmed.

The culprit, on the other hand, was under an extreme fear as the Onihime approached him slowly, giving him a death glare with her glowing eyes, dancing hair, and onimous aura behind her.

"I'M SORRY!" he yelled on his knees.

"So why did you do all that to us?" Sasuke who's just arrived with Saaya to the crime scene ask the culprit. "I don't even know you until Rumi-chan introduced you to us," he added.

"I… I was blackmailed."

"Not again…" Bossun sighed. "So you are going to tell us that you're not the real mastermind, that you are only unimportant pawn, am I wrong? I'm sorry, but that's so cliché!"

"Eh? But you are right there…"

"He's just a pawn, right? Can I just beat him to pulp?" Himeko volunteered.

Sasuke ignored Himeko and commanded Kurusu instead, "On your feet." In a blink of an eye after he rose from the ground, Sasuke's hand is already grabbing his collar violently. "Do you have any idea how much trouble you have caused to us because of your photos?" he snapped. His muscles are tensing and so is his daunting glare.

"Tsubaki. Stop."

Hearing upon his twin's voice, Sasuke's rage calmed down slowly. He let go of Kurusu and said, "I'm sorry Fujisaki."

"It's alright. Leave it to me," Bossun said as he patted his shoulder. "Now, tell me who the real culprit is. Who is the mastermind?"

He looked at the messy haired boy, "I… I'm sorry. He threatened me that he would bully my little brother by using his underling, Shimura-senpai, if I don't coöperate with him…"

"That's awful," Himeko commented.

"Tell me who he is. The name, Kurusu!"

"I don't know his name, I swear. But he told me that he dislike the Student Council so much."

"Dislike the Student Council?" Bossun thought. He then glanced at Sasuke, "Tsubaki, anyone come up to your mind?"

"No. I can only come up with Shimura's spider association."

"I see. There's no other way then," Bossun took a deep breath and held it. He reached his googles on his head and put it on his eyes. A fast-moving engine's sound could be heard comically from his brain, "Concentration mode: ON!"

Himeko and Sasuke know that it's best not to disturb him when he's in this state. So they remained silent while the short-haired guy kept an eye on the photographer.

A few seconds after that, Bossun let his breathe out, marking that he's done with thinking. "AAAH!"

"How was it? Who's the real culprit?"

"It's…"

Before Bossun could complete his answer, another voice cut in. "Choutaro Dekata, third year, group F, number 7. Former leader of the disbanded club Deka Club who turns out to be the leader of the spider association that The Student Council has shattered upon last year." Everyone at the spot is looking at a group of people who suddenly appeared. The voice was really familiar to Tsubaki Sasuke. He wondered why the owner of the voice didn't come with him and the Sket Dan. Seems like he finally got the answer.

"Asahina! Kiri! Usami!"

"He's the culprit," the current president of Student Council, Katou Kiri, threw a body of a dark-haired, long-faced man wearing a beret on his head.

"Wha— How?"

With her ponytail twirling due-to the blaze, Daisy answered. "While you bunch of useless people discussing your sad plan of playing a fake date, I, with the help of Hani-chan here, was reviewing Student Council's journal instead," she explained. "We finally found that on the day XX, month YY, there's a rumor going on at school about someone making the student council as their archenemy or something. Few weeks later, you caught this guy called Deka Chou and disbanded his club, the Detective Club."

Bossun was mesmerized by Daisy's explanation although he was annoyed because she just called him useless. "Why didn't you tell us from the start?" he pointed out.

Daisy didn't answer him right away. She stared at Bossun for 5 seconds before she finally spoke. "They'll find out my plan if we don't split up and…" She gaped, "Because it was pretty fun to watch you guys fool around. Pff…"

"What?" At the same time as Bossun grunted, his phone rang.

"YOU GOT MAIL!"

"Switch?"

Because that guy always hides if Kurusu doesn't do his duty. But when our photographer goes out to take our pictures, he will leave from his hiding place to look after Kurusu's brother to threaten him. I'm sorry, Bossun. I had to use you and your twin as bait.

With love,

Switch.

"Switch is on your side?" He yelled in disbelief.

"Yes," Daisy answered simply. "He helped us finding that maniac."

Bossun let out a sigh, "That guy… Well, it's not important now." Together with Sasuke, he walked towards Deka Cho who's lying on the ground, already beaten up by Kiri. Bossun shot a glare at him, "You understand what you've got to do, right?"

"What?"

"Looking stupid and all won't help you, IDIOT!"

He turned at Sasuke, "I was born with this face!" He backed off.

"Now admit it that you are the culprit! Or would you prefer to taste my new weapon instead?" Himeko threatened, much to Deka Chou's fear.

Finally, the day ended with a sigh of relief from the victims of the hideous The President's Harem case. The culprit's confession about all of his deeds was posted to the school's network. On Monday, the recording was replayed to the entire school during break time by the radio club to clear this intimidating nightmare of a rumor. Thanks to Sket Dan being an amazing servant for the school and students, they clarify and eradicate the case for good in no time.

After that, the only thing they do is study, study, study, and study to prepare themselves against the upcoming university entrance exam.

Time goes by really fast and it's already the graduation day. The ex-president gave the graduation speech to dismiss all approximately 400 students in the same grade before he cried himself out and walked down the podium gallantly. It was the moment that only happened once to the life of students where all emotions shall be mixed; happiness, sadness, pride…

…And even love.

"Sasuke-kun, that was an amazing speech."

He turned around to see the speaker. "Thank you, Saaya," he smiled. He diverted his sight back to the scenery of the whole school from the rooftop. The girl with twin-tail approached him. It was silent and calming there, only him under the orange sky, until the girl appeared. He glanced at her, as she's getting closer. "Why are you here?" he asked.

"Because I want to meet you of course."

"For what?"

She grinned, "To… pick your jacket's second button!"

"U—uwah! Stop!" Sasuke couldn't stop her from her carnage desire. She was so determined; She finally got what she wanted. "What does it for, anyway?"

"Well, I don't know if we'd meet again now that you're accepted in Kyoto University's school of medical," she explained.

He sighed, "Do you forget?"

"What?"

"Y-you asked me for a date after the graduation, right? We still can meet there…" he reminded. Saaya was exceptionally delighted to hear it.

"Really?"

"Yeah, why not. It's going to be fun and refreshing," he remarked.

"B-but..."

"What?"

"I only want to go with you."

"Urk," Sasuke startled. He's no longer a camellia as he's as red as rose. "I understand."

"Then promise me!" Saaya pointed her pinky to Sasuke. She focused her eyes deep in his topaz colored eyes. "It's a pinky promise, you can't break it!"

Sasuke stuck his pinky and tied hers. "OK, promise."

"Good!" she smiled brightly, and so is the short-haired guy. "Ah, it's already this late? I'm sorry Sasuke-kun. I'll be leaving first. My class is throwing a farewell party."

"Oh," he reacted.

Saaya looked away and then back to the boy, "… wanna come along?"

"No, I want to stay here a little longer. Just go, I'll be fine."

"Alright then…" Saaya stepped away from him. "See you, Sasuke-kun."

"See you."

The door was closed and Sasuke was alone again. But it doesn't matter. He wanted to be left alone anyway. Had he not being alone, someone's going to see him crying again. Unlike the one he had after the speech, this one just couldn't stop streaming down her cheeks. The good memories, bad memories of being high-school student are brought back to his mind like a dejavu. It felt like he's just being a freshman yesterday and about to prepare for school the next day. It felt like he's just accepted in the student council. It felt like he's going to banter with the campus support club on the following day… but that was all only a reminisce of the past and no body in this world could turn back time, not even to the best moment in humans' life.

After letting out all of his emotions went, he remembered that there's one place he must visit at all cost before he left the school that day. In a brief minute, he already stands there, in front of his table at the student council office.

"Tsubaki-kun."

Without turning, Sasuke already knew who spoke to him from the student council office's door. "Asahina. You're here too, huh."

"Yes."

Sasuke took a stroll around the office, exploring every corner of the room. "I can't believe—"

"'I can't believe it's already been three years! I felt like I've just enterred this school yesterday!' SYTD (Shut Your Trap and Die)! You have already said those lines, like, 4 times today. Twice earlier this morning and the other two was during your speech," she impatiently said. "Are you getting old already? D.O.S!"

"Grr, you're ruining the mood, Asahina."

"Oh. What kind of mood a lousy dense boy like you can feel?"

"Lousy boy? If I am lousy, I wouldn't become the president of student council! If you're looking for a lousy boy, then it's Yuusuke!"

"Calling out your big brother now, huh? Crybaby."

"Just because I cried doesn't mean I'm a crybaby! Look at yourself instead!"

Taunting, sneering, exchanging banter as they usually do, they didn't realize that the distance between the girl and the boy were decreased significantly that even the tip of their shoes met each other. Sasuke noticed that tears were beginning to filling up her eyes behind her thin glasses. Turns out that even an ice-cold girl like her also has emotion.

After all his experience as of being a victim of a case of false romance and taking his brother as real-life example, he knew that there's only one choice he must do at such situation...

"You got mail!"

Bossun's phone, which is in the hand of his beautiful wife, rang loudly. It was like the sound of thunder for Sasuke who's been fidgeting on the sofa of Fujisaki household. Switch's secret girlfriend who's also a famous singer, Kibitsu Momoka, could only watch him cheerfully from her boyfriend's side.

"So, Sasuke. Are you prepared?" Bossun asked. "It's her for real, now. She's waiting in front of the door~" He smirked, and so is his twin brother.

"Yeah. Definitely," he answered confidently.

Bossun gave him his fist, "Good luck, brother."

"Thanks, Yuusuke." Sasuke hit it with his.

"Go, Sassun!"

"This is gonna be interesting…"

Sasuke stepped out from the living room, walking down the corridor and finally arrived at the door. He slowly, but surely, unlocks the door and opens it only to meet a figure he's going to marry. He is flustered, but also feeling accomplished because he finally can see her head-on. Visiting his twin brother and met his high-school friends helped him to get his confident back.

"Hey," she greeted. The umbrella she's holding concealed her face.

Sasuke grabbed her cold hand gently, "I've been waiting for you…"

Slowly, the shadow is shrinking thanks from the light of the corridor until her soft expression is totally visible. Sasuke's bride, his first love who's always been by his side in any situation. She's his predecessor's younger sister; the sister of the man whom Sasuke really look up to. The woman with bombshell body and a tsundere attitude, who once was heartbroken by Sasuke's twin brother and eventually fallen for him, The Left, the side which she leaned upon after she decided to leave her first love for good. The woman who won Sasuke's heart over studying at Kyoto as doctor and affected his decision to choose the other choice of university which accepted him, at the same city with her, only with very contrast major: Social Science. The vital decision, the crossroads of destiny that would change his future; To be the strongest candidate of Japan's Prime Minister, mightiest person in the country.

Sasuke gestured down on his knees and kissed her hand, "Tsubaki Saaya, my bride."

She smiled brightly towards him, and he replied her with a radiant cheerful face.

FIN

A/N: Whoa. Believe it or not, I have just finished two of my fanfic in just one day. Anyways, it doesn't matter. How's this ending? Did it come to your liking? I hope so. To read the story about Deka Dan, read chapter 106 of the manga! Thank you very much for everyone who read this story. Especially to those who always support me by reviewing or PM. Special thanks also, to my beta readers, Light27, Flagrance, and kurasuchi

Btw, I was crying when I wrote Sasuke's paragraph on the rooftop.

...

Why do nobody criticize me for giving a false clue? I even waited for two weeks with the earlier draft... Sorry, gotta change the ending.. It makes more sense this way. Although maybe, for some of you, Asahina should be the bride. But, the hint was clear from the start: The bride is the first girl Sasuke going out with and boom: Saaya.

I know you'll hate me for doing this... But I will still love you guys no matter how you flame me for ridiculously trolling you guys. This is so unprofessional. It's my weakness.

Again, thank you very much for supporting me up till this ending (It's fixed now!). Sorry won't be enough to make up with y'all, but it's all I got for now beside my tight schedule.
