C H A P T E R 1 1: T H E T R U E F O R M O F E N G L A N D
"Tch what a waste of time..." Ryan sneered as he looked upon the fallen goalkeeper. Dyon Dufour narrowed his eyes as he looked up at the bitter teenager in front of him.
"What did you say?" He demanded, getting back up and in Ryan's face immediately.
"I said 'what a waste of time'." Ryan repeated.
Dyon shoved the boy in front of him. "You're the waste of time!" He shouted.
"Oh yeah? How come you're losing?" Ryan stated calmly.
"We're just getting started!" Dyon protested.
"Oh yeah? Show me then, what this 'power' of yours is." Ryan passed the ball to the goalkeeper in front of him. "You won't get far." He added as he let the French player pass him with the ball.
Dyon ground his teeth together as he slowly headed up field with the ball at his feet. He looked around for support, not that he needed any. But all the French nationals were down and out; the only one left standing on the pitch was Pierre.
"Dyon watch out!" Pierre shouted as he raced over to the goalkeeper. He was too late. Dyon fell to the ground in a heap after being heavily tackled by the English midfielder.
"Stop this now!" Edger shouted from the bench. "This isn't like you!" He shouted to his team mates. But none of them listened, Edger's blood began to boil as he turned to face the team's coach. "What did you do to them?" He demanded. "What did you do?"
"I would keep your mouth shut! Things like that can get you kicked off the team!" The coach barked back at the teenager.
Pierre acknowledged the argument as slid in to tackle the midfielder. Once he had the ball he tried to keep it in the centre of the pitch and under his control to buy as much time for Dyon as needed.
But it was no use as Ryan Jackson stepped in and slid into Pierre's path and knocking not only the ball but catching Pierre's leg as he slid by. "Pierre!" Alysee cried from the bench, launching herself towards the pitch but was caught by Benjamin Blanc and pulled into his embrace.
"There's nothing we can do." Ben said.
Coach Vincent watched from the bench as his team fell one by one. He didn't have the heart to put in the reserve players only for the same fate but he couldn't let the team suffer any longer.
When the next whistle went changes were made to the French team. Pierre was taken off to be replaced by Alysee. Valerie Raspaille was replaced by Benjamin Blanc and in Jeaninne Le Roi's place was Luca Rouge.
Alysee was the one in charge of the ball as she raced through centre midfield and into England's territory. "You'll pay for what you did!" She screamed in rage. Ryan was the first one to block the enraged footballer.
"Illusion ball!" She shouted and passed the dumbfounded striker and a few of the midfielders. The defenders couldn't stop her either. "Feel the pain of the French team!" She shouted. She shot the ball up and then headered it down pouring all her emotion into the ball as she shot it at the goal. "Disaster Boost!" She shouted.
The goalkeeper panicked as soon as the ball was heading straight towards him. His head felt like it was being violently ripped apart as screams echoed inside his skull. He couldn't escape the blood curdling screams as he fell to the ground clutching his head.
"GOAL!" The commentator shouted. "France has finally made a comeback in this one-sided game against England, but will this be enough to catch up from the 5 point lead that England has?"
Ryan's rage had been ignited as soon as the ball had slid past their goalie. "That was an easy ball!" He shouted. "Why didn't you stop it?"
But Alex never replied. His face was hidden in his knees and the goalkeeper looked as if he was living a nightmare as he stared fixated at the grass.
"Well that's interesting." The coach mumbled. "Henderson switch in!"
"Yes Coach!" The boy said as he raced on to the pitch as Alex was helped off by two other players and ditched on the ground without anything said. Edger was the only one bothered about the fallen boy.
"Alex!" He shouted, shaking the keeper.
"Soo cold..." He mumbled. "Soo dark..."
Edger's own rage boiled. "What did you do to him?" He shouted at the coach.
"Ask the French player over there." Coach Jackson pointed at Alysee.
"No! I'm asking you." Edger shouted back.
"Don't raise your voice at me boy." Jackson snarled.
"Oh yeah? What you gonna do? Kick me off the team?" Edger retorted.
"No." The coach replied. "I have another idea."
Then the coach turned towards the pitch and nodded towards his son. Ryan nodded back and turned to face the rest of the team. He uttered two words only. "Crush them."
The French team was pummelled. The English team giving them the ball only to bring each player down one by one, until they made their way to the goalie.
"My teammates may be weak, but I'm not!" Dyon shouted fiercely.
"Well then, you don't mind if we up our game then!" Ryan replied.
"Bring it!"
"Dark Spirit!" Ryan shouted as he released his hissatsu on the goalkeeper.
Nothing Dyon could do could've stopped what happened next. The goalie was flung up into the air before he came crashing back down to earth with the ball in the net behind him.
"Pathetic..." Ryan wheezed.
The ref looked around the pitch at the fallen French team. "Due to Rose Dragon's physical health, I declare Knights of Queen's the winner!" The ref blew his whistle before the first half had even finished.
Japan
"Ryan..." Darius growled as he looked at the TV screen that was keeping the attention of the whole Japanese team. They all looked at him quizzically as soon as he said the name. Darius' fists were clenched and his whole form was tense.
"Ryan?" Mark asked. "Who's Ryan?"
Darius blinked and looked up at the team's captain. "Someone I knew... but I don't know him anymore." Darius replied.
"You mean England's captain, right?" Axel asked.
Darius nodded. "Yeah, we used to play football together... but he's changed now." He added. "He never used to play like this... in fact none of the English team did." He added.
Mark paused in thought. "The English team sure has changed..." He mumbled.
Jude nodded in agreement. "Edger seemed to be rowing with the team's coach... maybe he wanted to play."
Darius shook his head. "I don't think so... he snapped when Alex was taken off field."
"Wait a second!" Nathan called and stopped the conversation. "How come you know the English team so well?" He asked, directing the question at Darius.
"Oh... er... well I lived in England before I got the call for Inazuma Japan." Darius admitted.
"You're English?" Jack asked.
"Sort of... I'm part English. My mum was Japanese and I was born here." Darius defended instantly.
"Oh." Jack replied.
Darius returned to look at the TV screen and his fists clenched even more. He looked at the figure retreating from the pitch and his body grew even tenser in rage as he looked at his younger brother. And then at his dad who gave Ryan a pat on the back. He would never forgive them.
"Anyway, let's practise everyone!" Mark shouted as he grabbed a football and rushed out of the school gym and towards the football pitch.
Darius sighed as he turned the TV off. He was going to take revenge on the English team.
Mark kicked the ball at Darren who caught it without much effort. "Nice try Mark!" Darren shouted as he passed the ball back onto the field. Everyone was playing a game that only used Darren as a goalkeeper since Mark was banned and Darius was still injured.
Axel was the one to get the ball first and stormed off towards the goal. "Try this on for size!" He shouted as he brought his hands down and released the fire within. Axel exploded into flames as he raced up to catch up to the football.
Once he reached the ball he performed a bicycle kick and transferred the fire into the ball. "Fireball drop!" He shouted as the flame covered football headed straight for the goal.
Darren closed his eyes and concentrated on the flow of his energy. He transferred it equally between his hands before his eyes snapped open and he lunged for the ball. He threw his arms back before crushing the ball between his fists. "God Spikes!" He shouted as spikes emitted from his fists and latched onto the ball.
"Damn..." Axel said as soon as Darren had caught his new hissatsu.
"Nice one Axel!" Darren shouted as he threw the ball back onto the field. This time it was Xavier who got the ball and went in for a shot using his new hissatsu technique.
Xavier caught the ball between his feet as he jumped into the air and kicked it higher with his foot. Xavier followed the ball and spun before he slammed his foot into the ball. The ball glowed purple and soon more purple spheres joined the football. "Meteor Shower!" He shouted.
Darren gritted his teeth as he lunged for the ball with his energy in his fists. "God Spikes!" He shouted as his fists latched on to - what he believed was - the football. The sphere disappeared almost immediately and Darren had to stop his fists from colliding into each other and the spikes causing damage to his hands.
Darren let out a sigh as the spikes disappeared. "That's how you do it!" Xavier shouted, raising his thumbs up and toying with the rest of the strikers.
Mark walked over to Darren and picked the goalie up. "Maybe God Spikes isn't the best choice for that type of shot." He chuckled.
"Nah... just gotta get it right!" Darren retorted.
Mark nodded.
"How's your back, Darius?" Silvia asked as soon as she'd token a seat next to the injured goalie.
"Not bad, should be playing in time for our match maybe." He smiled as he turned to watch his teammates. He longed to play, but it was better to get back in shape first. He looked at Shawn and guilt overwhelmed him, he felt sorry since he almost used Energy Barrier X to stop them colliding. He would've ended Shawn's football career for good if he did.
Darius sighed, but that wasn't as bad as what his brother and father was doing. He could only hope that they were stopped... and soon.
DAMN ENGLAND... oh wait... I'm English. XD Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter :D I'm also hoping for a draw against United so we can face them again in a replay and CRUSH THEM! MWA HA HA HA... (Gough Cough) Furball... (I didn't know I was a cat XD)
