Angela watched the fireball appear and melt out of thin air with a puzzled expression, "You're a witch? But, how? W-why are you telling me this?" Angela asked, taking a step away from Mrs. Banks.

"Don't be afraid, I'll explain everything, meet me tomorrow, after school in my office." Mrs. Banks said quietly.

"Why can't you tell me now?" Angela asked, holding Mrs. Bank's gaze to see if she was trustworthy.

Mrs. Banks smiled and pointed behind Angela, "Because now, we have company." She pronounced, making Angela turn around. Angela saw Elena walking toward her and nodded to Mrs. Banks.

"Angela!" Elena called as she rushed toward her sister and hugged her.

Angela leaned into the hug and waited for Mrs. Banks to leave before stopping it, "How's Stefan?" Angela whispered as Mrs. Banks was walking toward her car.

Elena shook her head, her eyes beginning to fill with tears, "I- I don't know, he wouldn't talk to me, he-he just rushed off, I don't know what he's going to do."

"You think he's going to-" Angela started to ask when Elena cuts her off.

"He might, when I last saw him, that's what he set off to do, but lets just go home, I can't keep thinking about this Angie, I can't." Elena pleaded as the two of the walked to her SUV.

Angela nodded, "Okay, sure... hey, you didn't talk to Aunt Jenna recently, have you?" Angela asked cautiously.

Elena shook her head as she unlocked her car, "No I haven't. She's been at school, I think she'll be home tomorrow though... why?" Elena asked, confused.

"Hmm." Angela murmured as she got in the passenger seat, "Sheriff Forbes said she called her to pick me up, but I guess she just called the house and left a voice mail.."

"Well, what did the Sheriff say? What happened, when they brought you to the station?" Elena asked, turning to her sister slightly, while keeping her eyes on the road.

Angela sighed, and looked out the window,"I didn't actually talk to the Sheriff for long." she said quietly.

"What do you mean?" Elena asked.

"It's complicated." Angela said, not knowing anything other than what Mrs. Banks had told her.

"Don't do that, you're the one who wants honesty, no more secrets. So, tell me the truth, what happened in there?" Elena asked again, now getting frustrated.

"OK, you're right... So, the sheriff and her deputies know about vampires.. Obviously." She paused and thought about how long they made her wait in the holding cell and shuddered, "And they wanted me to forget about what I saw." Angela said, trying to think of how to explain witches, when she didn't know anything about them.

"Forget what you saw? Angela did they do something to you?!" Elena yelled, outraged and almost lost control of the wheel for a second. The car swerved slightly, but Elena regained composure.

"No! No! They wanted to... okay, this is going to sound crazy, so don't say anything until I finish, okay? Great. Mrs. Banks is a witch and apparently she works with them or something, I don't know, we really didn't get into that, and the sheriff thought she put some kind of memory spell on me to make me forget and think I was drunk and that's what she told Jenna but Mrs. Banks didn't do the spell and lied to the sheriff, and yeah, witches are real." Angela said quickly, and rubbed her eyes when she was finished.

"Wait.." Elena chimed in, trying to make sense of it altogether.

Angela inhaled and leaned back against her seat, "Sorry.. I probably should have slowed that down." Angela said, hoping she didn't have to repeat herself.

Elena smiled as she pulled into their driveway, "No, I think I got it, surprisingly. You'd better delete that message off the answering machine if the Sheriff really told Jenna you were that drunk."

Angela looked confused as she got out of the car, "That's it? No more questions? Did you not hear the part about Mrs. Banks being a witch? Isn't that... I don't know.. Interesting? Witches are real?" Angela prodded, knowing her sister shouldn't be so casual about this.

Elena shot her sister a guilty look as they walked in the house, "It's not that It isn't.. Interesting, or weird, it is. And I definitely want to know more, but I'm tired. Can you fill me in on the rest later?" Elena asked as she started going up the stairs.

"Well, I'm actually going to see her tomorrow, so that should get me more answers, are you sure that's it? Or is there something else?" Angela asked skeptically.

Elena sighed and turned around, "I can't tell you, It's a secret." She said gently, hoping Angela would leave it alone.

Angela laughed, "More secrets? Come on, look at me, I'm the queen of secrets. You can tell me." She said as she walked halfway up the stairs next to Elena.

Elena rolled her eyes, "You just told me Mrs. Banks was a witch. That's not really good secret keeping Angie." She whispered, exasperated.

"Uh, uh, uh, no, she never told me to keep it a secret. Therein lies a loop hole, besides, I know you won't tell anyone. So, come on. What's the secret?" Angela pestered.

Elena shook her head and yawned, "I'm really tired, Angie, please."

Angela bit back a reply and nodded as Elena walked to her room. Angela sighed and walked back down the stairs to delete the voice mail from the Sheriff before she forgot. Walking toward the kitchen, Angela walked right past Jeremy without noticing he was laying on the couch. Reaching the kitchen, she turned on the light and found the phone, immediately pressing delete all, not wanting to hear the lies that were undoubtedly on there.

Jeremy rubbed his eyes and slowly got up and walked behind Angela, "What are you doing?" He asked groggily.

Angela jumped and spun around knocking into Jeremy, "Don't do that! Announce yourself when you're in a room!" Angela said, irritated when she saw it was Jeremy.

Jeremy backed away slowly, "Jeez, what's made you so jumpy?" He asked as he opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water.

"Nothing, sorry, I'm just in a weird mood right now... Hey, I didn't see you at Caroline's party." Angela deflected as she leaned against the counter.

Jeremy nodded and drank a couple sips of water, "Yeah, I was busy doing some work here." Jeremy stated, passing her the now half empty bottle.

Angela wrinkled her nose as she stared at the saliva ridden bottle and wiped it off with her sleeve before taking a sip. "Thanks." Angela said with uncertainty as she looked around and saw several pencils all over the floor in the living room. "What exactly were you doing?" Angela asked, pointing toward the mess.

Jeremy cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably as he walked into the living room, picking up a piece of paper. "It was uh... supposed to be a surprise." Jeremy said, as he walked back to the kitchen to show Angela.

"Surprise? What is it?" Angela asked, her eyes dancing with glee. Jeremy closed his eyes and handed her the paper, awaiting her response.

Angela looked down at the drawing and gasped. In her hands was a black and white sketch of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, wands in hand, levitating blocks that spelled Happy Birthday. Angela delicately traced each letter and then looked up at Jeremy, who was smiling at her, "It's beautiful." Angela whispered as she gently placed the drawing on the counter and hugged her brother, "Thank you!"

Jeremy grinned and looked down, embarrassed after the hug was over, "It's no big deal, besides, you bought me the new art stuff. So, it's really a thank you, to you." Jeremy said as Angela went and picked up the drawing again.

"It's a very big deal, I love it, and I'm going to go put it in my room now." Angela said, walking towards the stairs. "You want a ride to school tomorrow?" Angela asked, pausing for a minute, turning towards Jeremy.

"Sure, that would be nice." Jeremy said, nodding.

Angela grinned, ecstatic at this sudden turn around in her relationship with her brother, as she entered her room, she ignored the ideas in the back of her mind telling her, that Jeremy was only acting like this because of the compulsion. Angela sighed, choosing to think positively and changed into a black tank top and a loose pair of pink sweatpants and went to sleep.

When she woke up, she picked up her phone to check the time and determined she was horrendously late. "Shit!" Angela got up and quickly got dressed, grabbing on a pair of old, faded jeans and a black sweater. Pulling on her favorite pair of combat boots Angela went to the bathroom and hastily tried to make herself presentable, before grabbing her bags and heading downstairs. "Jeremy?" She called as she reached the front door. "Jeremy? Are you still here? Because I have to leave. Now." Angela repeated, opening the door and walking to her car.

Jeremy, who had been in the kitchen, rushed to the door with a half eaten pop tart still in his mouth and followed after her. "Here-I'm-still-here!" Jeremy said, rushed and gargled.

Angela smiled a little and got in the car, "Chew your food, Jer."

Jeremy grinned and handed Angela a banana once she had started driving. Angela looked at the banana and then at Jeremy like he was crazy, "what do you want me to do with a banana?!" Angela asked, incredulous.

Jeremy laughed, "You eat it. Here, let me." He said, as he took the banana and peeled it, handing it back to her.

Angela rolled her eyes at her brother's odd behavior, but she still ate the banana and smiled warmly at her brother.

When they pulled into the school parking lot, they discovered the grounds were largely empty, barring the occasional straggler. "Okay, Jeremy, I'll see you later?" Angela asked, turning to her brother.

"Yeah, yeah, sure." Jeremy said, leaning over and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before he rushed inside the building, history book in hand.

Angela watched him go, and was instantly filled with regret. So much so, that she had to sit down on one of the benches. Dozens of thoughts rushed to her at once, but she couldn't stop thinking about the compulsion. About Jeremy's sudden shift in attitude. She wanted to be closer to her brother, she wanted him to get off the drugs and finally care about school. She did, but at what cost? Angela groaned and put her head in her hands, wishing there was some way to undo it.

"Hey." Lauren said, walking closer to Angela's still figure. "Hey, are you alright?" Lauren asked, now, a few feet away. "Angie!" Lauren yelled, gently shaking Angela's shoulder.

Angela finally looked up at Lauren with tired eyes, and was happy her friend didn't know anything about this. "Hey, sorry. I'm kind of out of it." Angela said, rubbing her eyes.

Lauren nodded, "That's okay...hey, do you want to come over later tonight and help me babysit the twins across the street from me? Like old times? It might help you feel better." Lauren asked, sitting next to Angela and putting her bag on the ground by her feet.

Angela looked up and froze, "Babysit? Uh.. Can't tonight. Sorry." She said as she began picking up her things.

"Come on, it'll be fun, you love kids! Plus my mom will be out. We can hang out like we used to... Put the kids to bed early, order food, and maybe watch a movie? Please? It'll help you with whatever funk you're in." Lauren begs causing Angela to jump up.

"Look, I said I can't, okay? I'm sorry. Maybe next time." Angela said hastily.

"You say that every time I ask." Lauren said, getting aggravated, "What's really going on with you? I thought you liked kids?" Lauren asked, her voice growing softer, and confused.

"I-I do.. I just.. I don't feel like it. Sorry." Angela said evasively and walked toward the school.

Lauren watched her leave, confused, and slightly hurt, but gathered up her belongings and followed her to their chemistry class. They had arrived to class a few minutes late, and the teacher was in the middle of explaining an experiment. So, Angela and Lauren went to the back of the classroom and silently listen to the instructions. The class separated into partners, Angela sat down at one of the tables, while Lauren went across the room to get them the required safety goggles.

A student with short dark hair and olive skin approaches Angela cautiously as he lightly tapped her shoulder, "Excuse me, do you want to partner with me on this?" He asked shyly, his jaw tightening with nerves.

Angela turned around to find out who the voice belonged to and smiled in surprise, standing there in a blue checkered shirt and glasses was Malcolm Clarke, who was Wesley's best friend. Angela moved her chair over so Malcolm could sit down. Andrew smiled graciously and pulled a seat up. "Why aren't you partnering with Wes?" Angela asked as she pulled a piece of gum out of her purse, "Want one?" She asked, offering him a piece.

Malcolm shook his head, "You probably shouldn't eat anything during the experiment." Malcolm chastised, but Angela simply shrugged and unwrapped the gum anyway. "And Wes... uh.. Wes has been awol for awhile. Haven't you noticed?" Malcolm asked, opening his notebook and copying the instructions from the board.

That caught Angela's attention, "What do you mean?" She asked, turning to him.

Just as Malcolm was about to answer he was interrupted by someone clicking their tongue in annoyance. "What are you doing in my seat?" Lauren asked as she handed Angela her safety goggles.

"Oh, uh..." Malcolm fumbled, and pointed to Angela.

Angela grinned and pointed to the seat across from her, "Sit there, Malcolm's going to work with us today, or else he's flying solo."

Lauren shrugged and went to her seat and turned to Malcolm, "Solo, huh? Where's Wes? Aren't you two usually attached to the hip?" Lauren asked snidely.

"Come on, don't be like that." Angela said softly.

Malcolm shook his head, "No, no, it's fine. She has every right to be upset. What he did wasn't okay. He hurt her. He hurt both of you." He added, looking directly at Angela and sighing.

Angela understood the double meaning and looked away from him, and stared at her blank notes. Lauren, missing the exchange completely laughed and looked at Malcolm, "Well if, he's skipping school because of me, you can tell him to forget it and that I'm over him. Right, Angie?" Lauren asked, looking at Angela waiting for a reply.

"Huh?" Angela looked up, to both of their eyes on her and nodded, "What she said."

"I'll be sure to relay the message." Malcolm said, with a hint of a grin as he went to get himself some glasses.

"Why are you so distracted?" Lauren asked, softly, with concern so no one could hear.

"I'm not. I'm fine. Honest." Angela said, looking up from her notebook.

Lauren sighed, not believing her, "Fine, don't tell me, it's not like I'm your best friend or anything." Lauren said dejectedly as she began pouring the chemicals into the beakers.

Angela sat quietly, chewing her gum and watched Lauren fill the tubes with the proper measurement, while waiting for Malcolm to get back. Feeling like a horrible friend Angela attempted to change the subject, "Want some gum?" She asked softly, trying not to distract her too much.

Lauren rolled her eyes and huffed, putting the chemicals down, "No I don't want gum! Why are you chewing gum? There's chemicals!" Lauren berated, holding out her palm for Angela to put the gum in.

Angela took her gum out, placing it on Lauren's palm, laughing at her expression as she left the table to throw it away, "Sorry. I needed the gum." Angela explained.

"Why?" Lauren asked, wiping her hand off on her shirt.

"Because I had a banana earlier." Angela informed.

"Oh. That dumb thing?" Lauren rolled her eyes and began mixing the chemicals again.

Angela laughed, "I'm just saying, banana's are good while you're eating them, but afterwords you're just left with this... bad... banana after taste. You know?"

Lauren stared straight ahead at the beakers, attempting to drown Angela out, but she couldn't help it when the corners of her mouth started to turn up into a smile.

Malcolm came back and sat down next to the girls and began writing down each trial. When the class was finished, they rushed to finish, Angela cleaned up all the beakers, while Malcolm finished the paper they were going to hand in for all three of them. When the final bell rang, Lauren took the Paper from Malcolm, and wrote all the names on it before handing it in, and they all went to their next class.

Angela ran to her locker to exchange books and saw Matt across the hall, "Hey Matt." She yelled, waving at him.

Matt turned around and excused himself from his friend and walked over to her, "Hey Angie." Matt said, leaning against her locker door.

Angela smiled and tried to get him to move, but no matter how hard she pressed, he wouldn't budge, "Matt!" Angela whined as she attempted to close her locker. Matt grinned at her and stepped aside so she could finally shut the door. "Thank you." Angela said as she put the rest of her books in her bag, "So, how are you... you know, with everything?" Angela tried to ask as casually as possible.

"You mean with my sister ditching me? I'm doing better. I just don't understand how she can behave so recklessly." Matt said angrily.

"I'm sorry Matt." Angela said, on the verge of tears, wishing she could tell Matt what really happened to Vicki.

Matt, thinking his raised voice caused this sudden change in Angela, instantly softened, "Hey, look I'm sorry. It's not your fault." Matt said, gently lifting her chin up with his hand. Angela nodded and Matt smiled and cleared his throat, looking away, "So, uh... Do you know where Caroline is?" Matt asked, changing the subject.

"Caroline? What? No, I haven't seen her." Angela said with a muddled expression.

Matt nodded, "Forget I asked... I'll uh, I'll see you later, Angie." Matt said as he walked to his next class.

The remainder of the day went by in a blur after that, Angela didn't pay much attention in her classes and before she knew it, it was the end of the day. Angela walks out of her History class, eager to get to her car to talk to Mrs. Banks, when she spots Lauren across the hallway looking upset, and Angela instantly feels regretful, knowing she hadn't been the greatest friend in the world as of late. Walking over to her, Angela is stopped by a someone tapping her shoulder, slightly annoyed, Angela turned around and saw it was Mr. Saltzman.

"Oh, hey there, uh-uh.." Angela began as she strained to think of his name.

"Mr. Saltzman, but you can call me Rick." Alaric said, holding out his hand for a formal introduction.

"Oh... Okay, Rick.." Angela said, finding it strange he wanted to be on a first name basis. Grabbing his hand and shaking it Angela began to feel unsettled, "Well, I'm-"

"Angela, Angela Gilbert." Alaric cut her off and nodded.

"Right... So, is there anything you needed?" Angela asked, bringing her hand back and swaying it backward and forward slightly.

Alaric, realizing he was making Angela uncomfortable, straightened and cleared his throat, "Of course, I was wondering If you knew where I could find your brother?"

"My brother?" Angela asked, surprised.

"Yes, I need to talk to him, and you, if possible." Alaric said, hesitantly.

"I would, but I have to get to work. Is it important?" Angela asked warily.

Alaric shook his head and smiled, "No, not at all, another time. I don't mean to keep you." He said with sincerity.

Angela nodded as Alaric went back into his classroom, and went outside in search of Lauren and immediately sees a a head of fiery red hair sitting in the grass.

"Hey." Angela says quietly Kneeling next to her.

"Hey." Lauren says, looking up from the book she was reading.

"What are you reading?" Angela asked, trying to break the ice.

Lauren closed her book and smiled, "Your favorite." She said, handing Angela the book.

Angela held the book from her and grinned ecstatically, "You're finally reading harry potter?" Angela yelled, and rose upward, and grabbed Lauren's hand pulling her up too. "This is awesome, what made you start?"

"Idon'tknowjustfiguredwecouldtalkaboutit" Lauren mumbled, abashed, and began playing with her hair.

"Can you repeat that?" Angela asked, not picking up a word Lauren said.

Lauren sighed, "Well.. I just thought, that we could.. You know, talk about it. Since You know we've kind of been growing apart lately... and I wanted-" Lauren was cut off as Angela engulfed her in a bone crushing hug.

"I'm so sorry, I know I've been sort of distant lately, and I promise I'll tell you what's been going on with me when I can. I can't believe you started reading Harry potter for me!" Angela exclaimed, getting teary eyed.

Lauren smiled and squeezed her back, happy that Angela wasn't as far gone as she'd imagined. "You know, it's not all bad. The book turned out to be a good read." Lauren said once the hug was broken.

Angela nodded and wiped her eyes, "And that's just the first one, wait until you get caught up, and then you can watch the films too! It's already decided, you're coming over sometime this week and watching the first one. Deal?" Angela said, picking up Lauren's bag from the ground and handing it to her. "Oh, hold on." Angela said once she saw Jeremy walk past them, and went to follow him, leaving Lauren standing there, waiting for her.

"Jeremy!" Angela called and Jeremy stopped dead in his tracks and turned around.

"What is it?" Jeremy asked, confused and he paused his music.

"Mr. Saltman wants to see you in his classroom." Angela told him.

"Who?" Jeremy asked, laughing.

"Salt man, Mr. Salt-man, you know... wait... that's not his name is it? Uh.. What did he tell me to call him? Rick? Rick! Yeah, Rick wants to see you. He's the new History teacher." Angela corrected.

"Okay." Jeremy nodded and turned back to the direction of the school.

Angela watched him go and smiled as she walked back to Lauren.

"What was that all about?" Lauren asked as Angela walked toward her.

Angela shook her head and laughed, "I had to tell him to go meet one of his teachers."

"Oh... Hey, look." Lauren said, and nodded to Angela once she saw Tyler and pointed at him.

"Hey guys!" Tyler shouted as he walked in their direction.

"Oh, Hey Tyler." Lauren said, giving him a flirty smile.

Angela rolled her eyes, but grinned slightly, seeing that her friend was getting back to her old self.

"Hey, Angie, Lauren. You guys want to come to the grill? Me and a few of the guys are having a pool tournament. I'd be fun to have someone to cheer us on." Tyler said, wrapping an arm around the both of them.

"If you want a cheerleader, go ask one. I'm sure there are plenty who would love to go." Angela scoffed, lifting his arm off her.

"Aw, come on, I didn't mean it like that." Tyler pouted.

"Yeah, come on Ange, it'll be fun!" Lauren said.

Angela laughed, "Maybe next time, I have this thing called work, and I'm already late as it is." Angela said, looking at the time, and scolding herself, knowing she needed to talk to Mrs. Banks.

"Yeah, OK. See you later, Angie." Tyler said, laughing as he and Lauren left.

Angela was walking to her car when she spotted Bonnie and Damon talking, "oh no." Angela muttered as she changed course and went walking towards them, hoping to stop any altercation that might take place.

"OK, it's your final chance." Damon said, appearing next to Bonnie as she was about to get into her car.

"I'm going to scream." Bonnie breathed as she noticed his presence.

"Oh no, Don't do that. Let's stay on point. I want my necklace." Damon demanded, edging closer to her.

"You can't have it." Bonnie said, hotly wanting him to go away.

"I can't take it, but you can give it to me. I'm trying to help you here." Damon said smoothly, and for a second Bonnie believed him, before she remembered all the things he had done and turned away from him.

"I don't want your help." Bonnie said firmly.

"You do want my help, and you don't even know it. You know why, you little witch? Cause you've stumbled into something you need to stumble out of." Damon stated sharply.

"Just leave me alone or I swear..." Bonnie said with a tremor in her voice, as she was losing confidence each second.

"Hey!" Angela yelled as she reached where Bonnie was standing and stood in front of her protectively, "What are you doing here?" Angela asked Damon lowly.

Damon gave Angela a once over before changing his gaze over to Bonnie, "Don't. No threats. A, you hurt me last time. B, I wish you no harm. Believe it or not Bonnie,I want to protect you. Let me help you get Emily off your Back." Damon said, completely ignoring Angela's presence.

"How do you know about her?" Bonnie asked, scared.

Damon smirked, "I know a lot of things, and I know more about that crystal than you do,and I know that she's using it to creep inside of you. See how scared you are? And you should be,because I will get that crystal, even if I have to wait for Emily to give it to me herself. So, Next time she comes out to play, you tell her...That a deal's a deal." Damon said, opening Bonnie's car door for her and allowing her inside, closing it after she sits down.

"You want a ride Angie?" Bonnie asked tensely, not wanting to leave her alone with Damon.

Angela shook her head and glared at Damon, "No, Thanks, I have my car, I have somewhere I have to be.." Angela said giving Bonnie a reassuring smile, letting her know she'd be okay. Bonnie nodded, and even though she felt uneasy she drove off.

Angela watched Bonnie leave and scoffed at Damon, causing him to look amused as she walked toward her own car.

"Hey, where are you going in such a hurry, don't you want to stick around, leave some more idle threats?" Damon asked as he accompanied her to her car.

"Go away, Damon." Angela said, agitated as she unlocked her car.

Damon said nothing as he sat along the car's hood and lightly drummed his fingers on the incline,"Where's the fun in that?"

Angela rolled her eyes and opened the door, glancing at him, "What do you want with Bonnie?" she asked carefully, keeping the door in front of her, as some sort of shield. As if that would do anything if he decided to attack.

Damon grinned and got up, walking towards her "Well, if I told you that I'd have to..."

"Right, Of course, you'll kill me, speaking of, don't you have someone else's best friend to kill?" Angela said haughtily, cutting him off and turning to him with anger in her eyes.

"Ooh, so judgey. Looks like the fun's stopped. Way to be a mood killer Angie." Damon said, shrugging his shoulders and stepping away from the car. "Well, if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do." and then he was gone. Angela looked around to see if he was playing a trick, but he was nowhere in sight. She sighed, and prayed she didn't just make matters worse.

Angela got in the car and closed the door, she heard faint laughter as she turned on the ignition and waited for the car to settle before listening further. Chalking it up to one of the people from school Angela shrugged and started driving to meet Mrs banks. On her way there she let the radio play lowly, drowning out her thoughts until she swore she heard a familiar voice. Angela looked around, frightened, seeing no one and turned the radio off completely and drove the rest of the way in silence. She didn't hear the voice again.

Angela was relieved when she saw the vet's office and quickly pulled into the driveway so she could come out of the car as quickly as possible. When she walked up the paved driveway Angela heard yelling and grew concerned, rushing to the entrance of the building and swinging the door open Angela saw Damon fly across the room and knock into a shelf, causing several books to fall down.

"That's your last and only warning Mr. Salvatore, you'll have to find help elsewhere, or none at all for all I care. Now, kindly leave this establishment or you'll receive a lot more than just a tiny shove from me." Mrs. Banks said indignantly, walking into her office, not knowing Angela had come in.

Angela looked around, her mouth agape at the mess, and turned to Damon seething, "What the hell are you doing here? Get out!" She demanded, "First school, now you're at my work?"

Damon shrugged and rubbed his jaw, he wasn't expecting the old witch to have so much power, he was starting to conceive a plan B when he realized Angela was still glowering at him, "Didn't know you worked here." He said simply, and walked toward the doorway.

Angela watched him leave and began picking up all the book that had fallen. She had almost finished cleaning them all up when Mrs. Banks had finally emerged from her office. "I was wrong." Mrs. Banks said quietly.

Startled, Angela turned around and gazed at her in confusion, "Wrong about what?" She asked, placing the books down.

"About you... I thought you had read the journals, but considering you know that riffraff, I'm guessing that's how you found out about the vampires here." Mrs. Banks said knowingly, pointing to the door and the broken shelf.

Angela was thrown, "Journals? What Journals?" She asked, stepping over the shelf and walking next to Mrs. Banks.

Mrs. Banks shook her head, "I'm afraid I can't tell you that."

"What? No. You told me you'd explain everything. So, explain!" Angela said, frustrated, pulling out a chair and gesturing Mrs. Banks to sit and tell.

"I suppose I did." Mrs. Banks conceded as she took the seat Angela offered and mulled over everything in her head, "But, unluckily, I can't tell you about the journals until you read and understand them."

Angela frowned, still not understanding what the Journals were, "Well, give me the journals!" Angela supplied and Mrs. Banks let out a ton of laughter that Angela wasn't expecting.

"You already possess the journals. You'll find them, in time, speaking of time lets not waste it, ask me anything you want to know. Quickly." Mrs. Banks urged, checking the time, knowing she was going to have to leave soon.

Angela nodded, and tried to keep the journals in mind for later. Angela fiddled with her hands and kicked her foot, trying to think of what to say, as Mrs. Banks stared at her expectantly, "Okay... what did Damon want?" Angela asked, hoping this might lead to what he wanted with Bonnie as well.

"A favor." Mrs. Banks said shortly, allowing no room for interpretation.

Annoyed, Angela grit her teeth and tried again, "What kind of favor?" She demanded and she began to tap her foot even louder than before.

Getting the point Mrs. Banks sighed, knowing she promised answers, "He wanted a spell in order to reacquire something he'd lost. Something that was taken from him." Mrs. Banks said truthfully.

"What was it?" Angela asked curiously, knowing something that was stolen from Damon can't be a good thing.

Mrs. Banks shrugged, "I don't know, I refused to help, as you saw."

Angela nodded and sat still as Mrs. Banks got up and went into her office, "So, are you and Damon..friends?" Angela called after her awkwardly as she awaited her reply.

Mrs. Banks chuckled as she got back into Angela's view with an old, musty, leather bound book in her hands, "Friends? No. Acquaintances? Yes, if I can call it that. We've run around in the same circles once of twice." Mrs. Banks said, handing Angela the book.

Angela scrunched her nose as she checked the book, "What's this?" She asked, opening the book and flicking through the pages, taking in some of the words written in languages she'd never seen before.

"It's my family's Grimorie, or as you would call it, a "spell book" but it's so much more than that. It's been passed down through generations." Mrs. Banks said fondly, watching Angela trace her fingers over the designs on the cover.

Angela stared at the book, and she could swear she'd seen the symbols somewhere before. Placing the book down on the table, Angela looked up at Mrs. Banks, "So, are you going to do a spell?" Angela chuckled nervously.

Mrs. Banks laughed softly and sat down side by side to Angela, "No, no time for spells today. Maybe next time." She said with a glimmer in her eye. "No, I want you to take this home, think of it as... extra credit, only you won't be getting a grade." Mrs. Banks joked.

"T-take it home? I can't do that. What if I... spill coffee on it or something?" Angela asked eyes wide.

Mrs. Banks smiled warmly at Angie and shook her head, "I trust you won't spill any coffee on it dear."

"See, that's the thing, too much responsibility, and it's been in your family for generations. I'll mess it up." Angela said, flustered as she slides the book across the table toward Mrs. Banks.

"I have complete faith in you. Besides, would I really give you a key to this place if I thought you were capable of destroying my possessions?" Mrs. Banks asked seriously as she gave the book back to Angela.

"Well... I guess not, but... does this mean I can't ask any questions?" Angela asked, confused, she thought Mrs. Banks was going to tell her everything, she wasn't expecting a book.

Mrs. Banks sighed and looked at the clock, ticking away, "That will have to be for next time too, I'm afraid. We can try to get in a few things beforehand, but the Sheriff and I have an appointment.

Angela nodded, "Ah, yes, the super secret Vampire murder club." Angela said, thinking about Lexi.

Mrs. Bank chuckled, "We prefer to call it a council."

"Right... but, wait, I don't understand, if you know about Damon, why haven't you killed him?" Angela asked, looking around at the ruined pieces of wood that still lay on the ground.

Mrs. Banks stiffened, "like I said... we go back, I owe him a debt."

Angela could sense Mrs. Banks wasn't going to elaborate so she stopped trying and changed the subject, "So.. Since you're a witch and all... Do you know how to get rid of compulsion?" Angela asked, anxiously.

"What do you mean?" Mrs. Banks asked, her voice on edge.

"Let's say, hypothetically, I was compelled, would you be able to... uncompell me?" Angela asked hopefully.

"Well, you haven't been right? You've been keeping that bracelet on?" Mrs. Banks asked, pointing to Angela's wrist.

Angela looked down and the bracelet Mrs. Banks had given her weeks prior confused, "Why? What's the bracelet do? Is it magic?" Angela asked a little too excited.

Mrs. Banks shook her head, "No, don't be silly, I put some vervain in there. Keeps the vampires out of your head."

"Vermin?" Angela asked, aghast, looking like she might be sick.

"Vervain, it's an herb." Mrs. Banks clarified.

"Oh.." Angela said, feeling dumb, and suddenly things were starting to click, "Is Mrs. Avery on the council too?" Angela asked, remembering what Lauren said.

Mrs. Banks smiled and nodded, knowing Angela would be able to put it together with the right pieces, "But why did you desire to know about compulsion?" Mrs. Banks asked, trying to get her back on track.

"Oh, right.. Just hypothetically, is it possible to uncompell someone?" Angela asked, desperately, clinging on to any hope that she could restore Jeremy's memory.

Mrs. Banks nodded gravely, "It's a difficult spell. One that hasn't been attempted in years, but it works. It's extremely painful though, some... they don't survive it. That's why it's always best to be chalk full of vervain." Mrs. Banks said quietly. "I know it's in the Grimorie somewhere."

Angela gulped, and all hopes were immediately shattered, of fixing Jeremy's memories, she'd never put him through anything like that. She sighed and put the Grimorie in her bag as her phone began to ring. "Hello?" Angela said, picking up her phone.

"Hey, Ange, Can you pick me up? I'm at the Grill." Jeremy's voice asked from the other end.

Just then Sheriff Forbes walked in."Oh, hello, I didn't realize you'd be having company today Claudia." Sheriff Forbes said, smiling pleasantly as she entered.

"Well, she does work here Liz." Mrs. Banks said aggressively.

Angela looked between the two of them and felt incredibly awkward, "Yeah. I'll be right there." Angela told him, and hung up.

"Sorry, I have to go Pick up my brother." Angela said, as she grabbed her things and walked towards the doorway.

"Drive safely" Mrs. Banks and Sheriff Forbes said in unison.

After Angela hung up, Jeremy, left the bathroom and put his phone in his pocket as he walked over to the table he left Jenna at.

When Jeremy sits down, Jenna smiles and points toward the bar, "I like a man who can dine alone. A quiet strength." She says, gazing at him.

Jeremy looked, and saw it was his teacher and blanched, "I thought you were still in that whole Logan depression thing?" He asked, taking a sip of his soda.

"I've sworn off men forever, but it doesn't mean I can't observe them from a safe distance." Jenna conceded as she went back to look at Alaric.

Jeremy smirked, "Well,I can introduce you." He said, pretending to stand up.

"What? No! Sit down before he see's you. How do you know him?" Jenna asked, begging for all the details.

Jeremy laughed, "Relax, he's my new History teacher, his names Alaric. Very cool." Jeremy said, thinking of the extra credit he was given.

"Cool? History teachers aren't cool. What did he do?" Jenna asked, curious and she nibbled on a fry.

"He gave me some extra credit. I have to write a paper." Jeremy said nonchalantly, looking behind Jenna and seeing Angela Enter the grill.

Angela looked around until she spotted Jeremy and smiled, walking over to him.

"Have you picked a topic?" Jenna asked, excited that Jeremy was getting more focused on school.

Jeremy shook his head, "No,not yet. It's got to be local and non-internet research,so..."

"That's easy. You got all your Dad's stuff." Jenna supplied.

"What stuff?" Jeremy asked, leaning forward, interested.

"How the Gilbert's came over on the Mayflower stuff, all that family lineage from way back. Your dad really loved all that family history stuff. It's all boxed up in the closet." Jenna said, as she finished her wine.

"Hey guys!" Angela interrupted as she squeezed in next to Jeremy.

"Hey sweetie, what's up?" Jenna asked

"Oh.. Nothing. So... Family History, that's cool. There wouldn't happen to be any journals would there?" Angela asked, as she took Jeremy's soda.

"Hmm, I think there might be a few, why?" Jenna asked, suspiciously.

"Mister Saltzman." Jeremy said, sitting up straighter.

"Jeremy. What's up,man? And Angela, Nice to see you again." Alaric said smiling.

Angela nodded in recognition, "This is my Aunt Jenna." Jeremy said, pointing to her.

"Alaric Saltzman. It's nice to meet you" He said, extending his hand.

"Jeremy was just telling me about his paper. Thanks for giving him another chance." Jenna said as she shook his hand.

Alaric brushed off the compliment, "It was my first day. I wanted to make a good impression."

"Hey Angie, Can you get me some water, the wait staff is very slow today." Jenna asked, but Angela knew she really wanted space to flirt.

Angela laughed and went to get her some. When she walked over to the bar she saw Stefan and Damon and scoffed. "Hey, excuse me, can I get a glass of water? Thanks." Angela asked, and walked closer to Stefan and Damon to hear what they were saying, while she waited.

"So Stefan...You know,I've been thinking. I think we should start over, give this brother thing another chance. We used to do it, oh, so well once upon a time." Stefan said, deepening his voice dramatically.

"I don't, Damon. I can't trust you to be a nice guy. You kill everybody, and you're so mean. You're so mean,and..." Damon said in a high pitch before sighing, "You're really hard to imitate, and then I have to go to that lesser place." Damon said taking another drink.

Angela snorted as she listened to the weird role play they had going on, and stilled when she realized they heard her. Damon turned around and looked at her curiously, while Stefan just gave her a gentle smile before turning to the bartender. "Can I get a coffee, please?" He asked, as the bartender nodded.

Feeling bad for spying, once the bartender handed her, Jenna's water, Angela slipped him money to pay for Stefan's coffee and then went back to get Jeremy.

"Here's your water Jenna." Angela said, passing her the glass.

Jenna smiled, and took a giant sip in appreciation as Jeremy stood up. "Wait, are you guys ditching me?" Jenna asked frowning.

"Sorry Jenna, but that paper isn't going to write itself." Jeremy said, as he grabbed his coat.

"Yeah, and just think, without us around It won't be weird if you go to the bar." Angela said, pointing toward Alaric.

Jenna smiled as she watched the two of them leave, and then she stared at Alaric sitting alone, and dared herself to go talk to him.

"Can I drive?" Jeremy asked, grinning as they reached the car.

"Uh.." Angela stared and Jeremy and at the car and shook her head, not liking the idea one bit.

"Come on, I've driven it before. Remember? Bagels?" Jeremy said, grabbing the keys from her.

"Yeah, but that was the morning. This is not. It's getting dark and-" Angela said, as she got in the passenger seat.

"And, you've decorated, apparently." Jeremy said, staring at the dice in the mirror, and the Harry Potter stickers on the window. "Dice? Really? Are we in the 70's?" Jeremy said, rolling his eyes as he started the car.

"Hey! Dice can be cool!" Angela defended, but knew she was fighting a losing battle.

"Yeah, if you're a pimp." Jeremy interjected as he burst out laughing.

Angela cracked a smile, "Okay, maybe dice is a little tacky... but the stickers stay!"

Jeremy sighed and looked at the tiny broomstick in the mirror and shook his head, "Fine. The stickers can stay." He said begrudgingly.

"Yay!" Angela said happily punching her fist in the air.

"You're so lame." Jeremy said as he approached their house and lazily parks the car, causing a scratching along the door as he pulls up to the Gilbert residence, making Angela cringe. "You're never driving again." Angela chastises as she gets out and examines the car.

Jeremy laughed, "It's my car too, and what? What did I do wrong?" He asks, handing her back the keys.

Angela rolled her eyes and stared at the car which was parked crookedly, and entirely too close to the bushes, but she didn't see any physical damage and sighed, "Nothing, it's fine, I just usually back in when I park, that's all..." Angela trailed off, and walked toward the front door, noticing Bonnie walk outside.

"That's so stupid. Why back in?" Jeremy asked, flummoxed as he followed after her.

Angela turned to him and smiled, "You back in, so you don't have to back out later. Saves time- hey Bonnie." She said as Bonnie walked past her.

"That doesn't make any sense." Jeremy said as he attempted to open the door.

"Help me!"

Angela turned around in terror, after hearing her friend scream. "Bonnie! What's wrong?" She called after her friend, who continued to walk up the graveled path. "Bonnie?"Angela repeated, feeling a pit in her stomach as her friend wouldn't answer her.

Bonnie turned to Angela, with a curious expression on her face, "Hello Angela, I apologize, I can't stay." Bonnie said walking further and further away.

Angela attempted to follow, but in a blink, she was gone. "What the hell?" Jeremy asks, slightly startled from all the yelling as he finally gets the door open.

Hearing her brother yell, Angela quickly runs to the front door."Are you guys okay?" Angela asks, stepping into the house in front of Jeremy.

Caroline scoffs and looks at Elena and back to Jeremy and Angela, "I'm outta here."

Jeremy shrugs as Caroline storms off and goes upstairs to his room.

"Elena, what's going on?" Angela asks, confused, watching Caroline get into her car.

"I'll explain in a minute." Elena says as she picks up her phone and dials Stefan.

After a few minutes Stefan answers, "What's wrong?"

"It's Bonnie." Elena replies, not missing a beat as she begins to pace around the room nervously.

"What happened?" Stefan asks, concerned.

"Emily is possessing her. She said something.,," Elena trailed off, looking at Angela.

"Who's Emily?" Angela asks, walking closer to Elena, in an attempt to hear what Stefan was saying.

"Not really the time Angie." Elena said, irritated at being cut off.

"What did she say?" Stefan asked, trying to keep Elena from getting distracted.

Elena puts the phone on speaker, so Angela could hear, "She said 'I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed.' And then she just left." Elena told Stefan, letting out a shaky breath.

"Where do you think she went?" Stefan asked urgently.

Elena closed her eyes and tried to remember, "I don't know. I, uh...Fell's Church, by the old cemetery... that's where she took Bonnie in her dreams. We have to help her, Stefan."

Stefan nodded and began heading that way, "Just stay there. I'm going to go find her." He promised as he hung up the phone.

When the conversation ended, Angela took that as a chance to speak up, "What the hell is going on? And we aren't actually going to stay, here are we?" Angela asked quietly, hoping Jeremy wasn't around to hear.

Elena shook her head and grabbed her keys, "No, come on, I'll explain in the car." She said as she headed toward the front door. Angela smiled and followed Elena outside.

On the way to the ruins of Fells Church Elena filled Angela in on everything that had been happening. The necklace, Bonnie's weird dreams, to Bonnie being a witch.

"Wow." Angela breathed, taking it all in. "So, that was the secret you couldn't tell me. That was why you weren't surprised witches existed. Wow... If this weren't so serious, I'd probably be excited."

Elena nodded and smiled slightly, "That's why I wanted Bonnie to tell you."

Angela hummed and tapped the windowpane nervously, "We have to get there soon, Elena. Bonnie's in trouble." Angela said quietly.

Elena nodded and drove faster, "I know, but I'm going as fast as I can. It'll be okay. Stefan's there."

Angela paused, uncertain if she should tell Elena about her encounter with Bonnie, but figured all information was necessary. Turning to Elena, Angela sighed and absentmindedly started to play with her bracelet, "Yeah, I know, but Elena, I heard Bonnie. She was calling for help." Angela whispered quietly.

"What?!" Elena asked, taken aback.

"I don't know how to explain it, but it was like she was fighting the possession. We have to get to her." Angela repeated, urgently.

"Okay, well, we're here." Elena said, as she pulled over on the side of the road, and got out, grabbing a flashlight from the back of the car.

"Do you know how far in the woods, it is?" Angela asked, shivering slightly.

Elena shook her head, "We're just going to have to wing it, and hope we find her in time." Elena said as she headed into the woods.

Angela sighed, feeling uneasy about this whole thing, but quickly followed Elena before the light was gone.

"I think it's this way." Elena said, turning right onto a path.

Angela went to follow when she stopped dead in her tracks, feeling cold, "No Elena." Angela said letting out a shaky breath of cold air.

Elena turned around and looked at Angela in confusion, "Angie, this is no time for games, we need to find Bonnie." Elena said, walking towards her.

"I know, and that's why we have to go this way." Angela said, pointing to the path on the left.

"How do you know?" Elena asked, unsure.

"Just trust me." Angela said with no other way to explain it.

Elena nodded and together they walked down the rocky path, until they heard yelling.

"I can't free them. I won't. Incendia!" Emily/Bonnie yells as she throws the necklace into the air.

"No! No! Please!" Damon cried out in desperation.

"Bonnie!" Elena yells as she scene comes into view.

Angela is following slowly behind when she see's the horrified expression on Damon and Stefan's faces and tried to get through to Bonnie. "Bonnie! Snap out of it like you did before!" Angela begged.

Emily/ Bonnie turns to face Angela with a stern face, "She didn't." Is all she had to say, before she sent a fireball straight towards the necklace.

"No!" Damon yells as the necklace is destroyed and in a fit of rage, he runs, and attacks Bonnie, effectively biting her.

"Stop it!" Angela yells, running towards them, as Stefan rips Damon off of her.

"She's alive, but barely. I can save her." He says to Angela, and Elena as they kneel next to Bonnie's lifeless body. Stefan bites into his wrist and feeds Bonnie his blood.

"Her neck, It's healing." Elena cries and hugs Bonnie.

"Come on, let's get her to the car." Angela says, helping Elena lift her up.

A few minutes after Bonnie woke up, and was demanding answers. "I don't understand, what happened to me? He attacked me, and...his face was like..." Bonnie trailed off, unable to describe what she saw.

"How do you feel? Are you okay?" Elena asked, lightly touching Bonnie's arm.

"I'm fine, it's just this blood. I don't..." Bonnie stopped and stepped away once she saw Stefan approaching.

"I'm not going to hurt you." Stefan said gently as he walked toward them.

"What's going on Elena?" Bonnie asked, slightly scared.

"I'll explain everything, Bonnie. Okay? Let's just get out of here. Bonnie. Bonnie, look at me. Trust me. He's not going to hurt you." Elena said, walking away to talk to Stefan.

"It's okay, Bonnie. You're going to be fine. Okay? I promise." Angela said, putting a reassuring arm around Bonnie.

"How can you possibly know that?" Bonnie asked quietly.

Angela smiled and leaned in close to Bonnie, "Because Bonnie, I told you. You're the real life Hermione, and Hermione's one tough chick." Angela said, attempting to cheer Bonnie up, and for a split second it worked.

"Thanks Angie." Bonnie, said as her voice cracked, Angela nodded and helped Bonnie get into the back seat, and stood waiting for Elena. When she walked away from the car, she saw Elena was crying, and walked toward her to see what was happening.

"Don't walk away, Stefan! Stefan!" Elena called after his retreating figure.

"Hey, Hey, shh. Come on, let's go home." Angela said, gently as she grabbed Elena's hand and lead her to the passenger's seat, as she wasn't fit to drive in this condition.

The drive back was a silent one, and Angela hoped Bonnie would understand. Sighing, Angela pulled into the driveway, and Elena got out, helping Bonnie and the three of the walking into the house. The tears, finally beginning to fall down Angela's face.

"Angie? What's happening?" Jenna asked, rushing to hug her niece.

Angela sniffed and started to wipe her face,"N-nothing, just stupid guy stuff.." Angela deflected.

"Are you sure? Because I'm here if you need to talk." Jenna said, releasing her from the hug.

"Yeah, uh. We're having a girls night upstairs. I should probably get to it." Angela said, as she headed up the stairs.

Angela walked in on Bonnie and Elena crying, and wasn't sure if she should leave or not, when Bonnie saw her and waved her over, and together, the three of them cried over recent events.

Suspicious of Angela's behavior, Jenna quietly followed her to Angela's room, and was startled by what she found. Jenna heads downstairs to get ice cream for the girls, but pauses when the doorbell rings. Sighing, Jenna turns around and Answers it.

"Hello Jenna." Logan grins mischievously as Jenna opens the door.

"Logan." Jenna breaths, not expecting him to be back so soon.

"Aren't you going to invite me in?" Logan asks darkly.
