The Art of Seduction, Gone Wrong
The school year was drawing to a close, and the summer was just on the horizon, Zarbon had still not asked Morgan out, and Morgan had still not asked Zarbon out, even though it was pretty clear by now that they both adored one another. It was getting tense between them, this waiting until Morgan turned sixteen was not only torture for Zarbon, but also for Morgan.
None of these two were very straightforward with one another about each other's feelings for each other. Zarbon had died down his verbal hints for Morgan, the only hints he was really sending this time around were more physical. Like he would sit closer to her, he would sometimes randomly hug her, and he would stare at her when she wasn't looking, but that was about it.
Morgan was terrible at giving her hints to him, to make matters worse, these two could communicate telepathically with one another, but each time they had thoughts of thinking about their love for one another, they would put a mental brick wall up in their minds so the other couldn't catch onto this.
This was getting unbearable, so Zarbon talked to Jada one day at their lockers.
"She is still under the impression that I want to just have sex with her. I have read her thoughts, and she clearly thinks this." Zarbon said.
"You're a man; most women think that that's what a man really wants with them." Jada said.
"But when in the past I asked her to marry me and have kids with me, I meant it, I really meant it. It was not just about sex." Zarbon said.
"Here's the thing Zarbon, you could tell that woman or any other woman that you want to marry them and have kids with them, but at the end of the day, they still would think you are full of shit. Players use that pickup line all the time. Even Tre has used that line with girls, and he cannot even get a girl to pick up." Jada said.
"But how do I show her that I just don't want her for sex?" Zarbon asked.
"First of all, you aren't out of the woods just quite yet, you still have to wait until she is sixteen to have consensual sex with her. However, if neither of you two can keep your pants on until then, then I suggest having very little sex with one another, or you could just simply wait." Jada said.
"I just said it wasn't about sex, after my ex-girlfriend Liya went around telling everyone that I had sex with her, which I did, it not only made me more paranoid about women, but it nearly got me castrated. It also made me trust women less, it made me think that if any woman would have sex with me, that they would go blabbing it to their girlfriends and other soldiers like she did." Zarbon said.
"Look Frieza is dead you don't have to worry about being castrated anymore because you can now have sex with whoever you want, as long as they give their consent to you. But you do realize that to have a child with Morgan you are going to have to have sex with her right?" Jada asked.
"I cannot afford kids right now I am still trying to get a high school diploma so I can go to college. Right now, I just want to gain her trust and show that I'm not one of those jerks that are after her for sex and sex alone." Zarbon said.
"Well she is still a teenager, so chances are no matter how old you are, genuinely kind you are, or how good looking you are, she is still going to think that it's still what this is all about. Or what you could do is try to make her jealous to see if you can get a reaction out of her." Jada said.
"Wouldn't that be lying though?" Zarbon asked.
"Lying? It's called making someone jealous, not necessarily lying, oh wait, maybe it is kind of lying come to think of it." Jada said.
"Of course it is, by flirting or hitting on some other girl in front of Morgan its being dishonest, because in reality I'm not interested in the girl I am hitting on." Zarbon said.
"Look Zarbon, being a goody tushu isn't going to get Morgan to like you. What you need is some edge to you." Jada said.
"I have killed people in the past, so I am hardly a goody tushu." Zarbon said.
"We can always learn from the past Zarbon, but you have to have some kind of edge to you. You cannot just expect her to like you just because you are nice to her. You need a personality check if that's the way this is going." Jada said.
Bulma's Clone was talking with Zarbon after school at her house; he went there to have tea. He needed a second opinion besides the one he got from Jada, and since he told Bulma 2 that he had feelings for Morgan, then he figured that he would just ask her for advice. Maybe he could get an idea of how to have this "edge" to him.
"You still haven't made a move on her? It's getting closer and closer to her birthday, don't you think you should give her a heads up and maybe show her that you are very interested in her as being more than friends?" Bulma 2 asked.
"But her birthday isn't until September 24th, so it's not as close as I would like it to be." Zarbon said.
"Ok fine, but can you at least give her a few hints or so, so that she can catch onto them?" Bulma 2 asked.
"Well what does she like to do for fun?" Zarbon asked.
"Zarbon, you are what she considers her BFF, how could you not have any idea what she likes or dislikes?" Bulma 2 asked.
"Let's see here, she likes to read, draw and paint, learn foreign languages, and she likes to look good too." Zarbon said.
"I talked with her and she mentioned the opera." Bulma 2 said.
"But I hate the opera, the opera is for old people," Zarbon said.
"Funny because Morgan said that the opera was in town and asked me if I wanted to go, but I declined." Bulma 2 said.
"Why didn't she ask me?" Zarbon said looking disappointed.
"I don't know, why don't you ask her that yourself?" Bulma 2 said.
Zarbon returned home, and it was time, it was time to ask Morgan the question. The question he had been meaning to ask her ever since the afternoon he spent at Bulma 2's house.
"Morgan, there is an opera playing, and I wanted to know if you would like to go with me." Zarbon said.
"You like the opera too?" Morgan asked.
"Well, no I don't but I am willing to go with you," Zarbon said.
"Why would you sit through a whole opera with me if you don't enjoy going to the opera?" Morgan asked.
"I'll more likely enjoy it if you enjoy it." Zarbon said smiling.
"Oh what the hell, let's go!" Morgan said.
So they went to the opera a couple of nights later, it was Tosca and Luciano Pavarotti was with the traveling opera company that came to Indianapolis. Yes Morgan looked stunning, for a teenager, and Zarbon looked handsome as usual, and still wore his forehead crown. Of course people stared at them, they never seen an alien before, nor probably a more handsome man.
They sat down on the balcony and watch the whole thing unfold on stage. Zarbon was bored out of his mind; he should not have done this. This was way worse than Zarbon sitting through those God awful chick flicks Morgan made him watch with her. He just shouldn't have, he sat there tapping his fingers on the rail of his seat and then he decided to communicate telepathically with Morgan.
"Morgan, what are they singing about?" Zarbon asked telepathically.
"I have no idea, I don't know Italian." Morgan thought back.
"Do you have any idea what is going on then?" Zarbon thought.
"Of course I don't, I just think it's so nice to hear them sing in Italian and try to guess by the body language what is going on." Morgan thought.
"I never thought to do that for some reason." Zarbon thought.
Just then Zarbon caught wind of another thought of her thoughts, "Damn that Pavarotti is good," Morgan thought.
"He is I agree," Zarbon thought.
"I wonder if I can meet with him in person after the show." Morgan thought.
"Wait what?" Zarbon asked out loud.
"I'm sorry?" Morgan whispered.
"Do you mind if I put my arm around you?" Zarbon telepathically thought to Morgan.
"Sure, I don't understand why you are asking me, when I have no problem with you touching me at all." Morgan thought back.
"Ok here I go, don't be frightened," Zarbon thought as he put his arm around her during the song "E Lucevan Le Stelle". Pavarotti was singing the song, and Morgan couldn't help but admire him further.
Zarbon decided to move in closer to her and then this happened, "Damn he's sexy! Pavarotti just is sexy there is no doubt about it." Morgan thought.
"Oh you got to be kidding me," Zarbon thought.
Zarbon then thought for a second, "To kiss her or not to kiss her? She hasn't officially said that she liked me more than a friend, but I'm so tempted to kiss her right now."
Zarbon then thought to move in a little closer, perhaps it was how romantic this song sounded that made him a little more in tune with his feelings, but then this happened, "Damn, he can sing! The guy can sing and perform! I wish I had a man like that in real life!" Morgan thought.
"Excuse me dear, but I need to go to the bathroom." Zarbon said to her out loud, getting up and leaving the room.
Zarbon was in the restroom sulking, "Oh Pavarotti is so sexy! Damn he's got a good voice! Oh I wish I had a man like that in real life!" Zarbon thought to himself mocking what Morgan was thinking.
"Hello, I'm right here, what more could you want! I went to the fucken opera with you! And what do you do, you direct your attention and admiration to Pavarotti, who isn't really sexy if you obviously look at him!" Zarbon thought.
So Zarbon went back to his seat and sat back down by Morgan, "Is everything all right?" Morgan asked.
"Of course poppet, everything is fine." Zarbon said.
"What does poppet mean?" Morgan asked telepathically.
Zarbon then thought, "Funny you should ask that, I originally thought it meant like a poppy flower as a term of endearment, but it actually means a little doll. I remember when…."
"Oh Pavarotti is singing again! He's singing again! Hurray!" Morgan thought.
"And I lost her again to Pavarotti." Zarbon thought and sighed.
So when they got home Zarbon walked to her to door, "Well good night," Morgan said.
"Good night," Zarbon said somehow indifferent to her.
Then she went into the house and shut the door in his face, "Morgan dear, I live here remember?" Zarbon said.
"Oh sorry hold on!" Morgan said opening the door back up and letting him in.
It was that damn Pavarotti's fault! Zarbon figured that since Morgan thought he was such a great guy, that her judgement was clouded when she told him good night and shut the door on him.
The next day was just awkward, and Zarbon sighed as he was at Jada's house visiting; Jada came into the kitchen after his mom told him that Zarbon had come to pay a visit.
"How did the opera go?" Jada asked.
"It was boring, and what's worse, Morgan now loves Luciano Pavarotti," Zarbon said sighing.
"Zarbon, it's highly doubtful that she loves him, she doesn't even know him. It's more or less a crush, nothing serious." Jada said.
"But how can a hot girl like her crush on someone who isn't even considered conveniently attractive?" Zarbon asked.
"Let's see here, Luciano has an amazing singing voice, he's got on and offstage charisma, and he's got olive skin and he's tall. Forget the fact that he's overweight and possibly overeats, if a man has a great personality, then yes it's possible for girl to crush on him, it's not impossible. I have seen many good looking women with ugly husbands at church." Jada said.
"Seriously?" Zarbon asked.
"Ok, more or less one or two couples like that. But the point is that it's not impossible for a hot woman to crush on a man who isn't considered physically attractive. Even so, Luciano isn't much of a catch anyways he's not even much competition." Jada said.
"Meaning?" Zarbon asked.
"Let's see, she made me come over and watch a movie with Luciano as the main lead. It's called "Yes, Giorgio". That movie bombed in my eyes, the acting wasn't good, the main lead he played seemed like an asshole more than a romantic lover, because his character was married and wanted a lady doctor as a mistress." Jada said.
"But it's a movie Jada, it's not real." Zarbon said.
"I know it isn't, but she insisted we watch it, but while I watched it, I noticed that he had a huge amount of charisma no matter how unbelievable his acting was. In fact, his character wasn't a horrible person, just a deeply flawed person. But the truth is that even if Morgan wanted him, he would be completely unavailable since he's an entertainer and not a commoner like us." Jada said.
"I'm not a commoner or unavailable." Zarbon said.
"Ok, ok you are missing the point. You told me yourself that ugly and average looking soldiers used to pick up hot girls to have sex with under the Frieza regime correct?" Jada asked.
"Correct, but to be fair, there was a lot of propaganda going around saying that if you joined Frieza's army, then you would have a lot of hot women running to you, telling you how heroic you are, and want to have sex with you." Zarbon said.
"So that made them easy enough for women to want to have sex with. If in fact the propaganda about Frieza's soldiers being gentleman and knights in shining armor are true, then that alone made these women gullible enough to sleep with them no matter how ugly they were. Or maybe these women really wanted to just sleep with someone or maybe change the bad boy into a good guy." Jada said.
"So you are telling me that the propaganda might have messed with these women's heads? That, these women might have been deceived into believing that all of Frieza's soldiers were gentlemen and chivalrous?" Zarbon asked.
"It doesn't take much for people to be fooled by propaganda, also consider the women these guys are attracting. Many of them could very well be stunningly beautiful, but they could also have very ugly personalities and very low self-esteem. They probably either want to climb the social latter, marry a soldier who will offer them a better life, or just want to have sex." Jada said.
"But I never as a solider, even if Frieza threatened to castrate me, got very tempted to let these women into bed with me each time they threw themselves at me. Most of them only wanted to sleep with me because I'm good looking, because I'm a five star general and because I was the heir to Frieza's empire. Most of these women that threw themselves at me were what I would call stunningly attractive." Zarbon said.
"What about the ugly ones? Did you even give them a chance?" Jada asked.
"The average and ugly looking ones wouldn't even come near me. They must have thought that since I was better looking than them, that I would make a terrible husband or someone to talk with. I take that back, I cannot really compare male beauty to female beauty, but I wouldn't have minded talking with them, most of the hot women I talked with had terrible personalities." Zarbon said.
"In your case, you probably might have sensed that these women, who only went after you for your looks, were really up to no good. A lot of women out there don't take handsome guys very seriously, because we have the media telling us that most handsome guys are jerks and only want to bed women instead of settling down with them." Jada said.
"But here's the thing, most of Frieza's more violent soldiers were not good looking at all, they were either ugly or average looking, they were some of the most unpleasant and horrible people I have ever been around, and they weren't smart either. It just irritates me that so many of these attractive women would sleep with them, it almost makes no sense." Zarbon said.
"If what you are telling me about resisting a lot of women who wanted sex with you for your looks is true, then you very well might have dodged a bunch of bullets. You don't want to attract women who want you for only your looks you have so much more to offer anyways. You're a very intelligent guy; you seem genuinely kind, although it took long enough. You are also observant and alert." Jada said.
"So out of this entire conversation, how does this pertain to me trying to prove to Morgan that I'm not like one of those handsome guys from the media that would just use her for sex?" Zarbon asked.
"I don't know, I just don't know. Maybe offer to do something nice for her, or show her how intelligent you are, or..." Jada said, and then he got closer to Zarbon and whispered something in his ear.
So later on Morgan was at home doing her homework and studying for her finals. Then the doorbell rang, Morgan got up and got the door, then all the sudden Zarbon grabbed her and took her into his arms.
"Ahhhh, what the hell?" Morgan asked shocked and startled.
Zarbon then said rather valiantly, "Oh my dear Morgan, I have admired you from afar for a very long time. I wish to sweep you off your…."
Morgan then seemed to drift away, and before you know it, she was out cold.
"Damn I think I killed her, oh no." Zarbon said sad and confused.
"No, no, she just swooned is all." Jada said coming into the house.
"Frieza was right all those years ago, he said that because I'm so good looking, tall and muscular that I come off as being unintentionally intimidating towards women." Zarbon said.
"I'm not really sure that was it, but she's smaller than you, so I can see where Frieza is actually kind of right. Perhaps you put on the seduction way too much." Jada said looking like he wanted to laugh.
Jada left, and Zarbon put Morgan on the couch and waited until she woke up, and smiled while looking at her.
Morgan woke up. "What happened?" she asked.
"You swooned so I brought you to this couch to lie down on, and waited until you woke up." Zarbon said.
"Why did I faint?" Morgan asked.
Before Zarbon answered, he thought for a second. No he couldn't just tell her why. He wanted to tell her why, but that would give away too much information of just how much he wanted her. So he thought of something else to say instead.
"I'm not really sure why, but I have a question to ask you. Would you like to go to the beach with me?" Zarbon asked.
"The beach, why the beach?" Morgan asked.
"I feel that my skin tone has paled a little much, it's close to summer and I really could use a darker color." Zarbon said.
Morgan then thought about it, she thought about her and Zarbon at the beach. At first the thought was nice, him on a towel and her in the water, that was until a bunch of other hot girls started coming over to him and checking him out. In the fantasy, Morgan got angry, how dare those, what men would consider a ten go over to Zarbon! Crap Zarbon was there with her, not for those floozies!
Morgan then said, "Nope, I hate sand, it makes me feet feel weird."
"Do you perhaps want to do something else?" Zarbon asked.
Morgan then said, "Look I appreciate that you want to do something with me, and taking me to the opera the other night really made me feel great, however I…"
"What happened? Did I come on too strongly? Oh no, I interrupted you didn't I?" Zarbon asked.
"I don't know what the hell you are talking about, but I couldn't help but feel that you were bored during the entire opera. I just want to know why the hell you were willing to sit with me through that torture fest." Morgan asked.
"It wasn't pure torture; the only part that was torturous was you thinking of how sexy you thought Pavarotti was." Zarbon said looking away and crossing his arms.
"What? What did Pavarotti ever do to you? How could it possibly be my own fault that I find him charismatic and pleasant to watch on stage? If you didn't want to go to the opera with me, you should have said no, or never of suggested it in the first place." Morgan said.
"What does Pavarotti have that I don't? I mean what is so great about him that makes you crush on him so? Was I not there with you to have fun? Did you even care once that I was sitting next to you?" Zarbon asked.
"I don't understand why would you be jealous of Pavarotti, I don't even know him." Morgan said.
"But you were thinking that you wanted to meet him after the show." Zarbon said.
"Oh that, well it was just a thought and nothing else. Dear, dear Zarbon, Pavarotti will never replace you as my friend. You are my BFF, nothing can change that." Morgan said taking Zarbon by the hands.
"Is that all you look at me as? A BFF?" Zarbon asked as he took his hands away from her.
"Sure, you're genuinely kind to me. You also don't seem to make fun of me like a lot of those guys at school do. You also tolerate watching chick flicks with me, and go shopping with me. You wanted to go to the opera with me, even though you clearly told me that you hated the opera, which I thought was so selfless of you." Morgan said.
"I wouldn't call it selfless, I was just doing something for you because, because… If you look at me as just a BFF, then why pray tell were you angry when you were having that fantasy about us on the beach and all those hot girls were running up to me, just because they were checking out how hot I was?" Zarbon asked.
"Oh crap you saw that fantasy? Uh well, hum how do I explain this?" Morgan asked as if she was fading into oblivion.
"I'm waiting!" Zarbon said.
"I cannot think of a reason why that happened, sorry you are going to have to ask some other time when I get a better idea." Morgan said.
Zarbon then said, "Fine, if you cannot admit that you were jealous of those girls in the fantasy that you had about us on the beach, then…"
"Oh please, I think that you being jealous of Pavarotti is twice as stupid." Morgan said.
"So you admit that you were jealous of those fictitious girls on the beach in that fantasy then?" Zarbon asked.
"Seriously, did you just ask me this? I mean really? This conversation is over!" Morgan said.
"Fine!" Zarbon said.
"Fine!" Morgan said.
The whole thing was stupid, I mean even twice as dumb as something cliché in a romantic comedy where two characters accuse the other of being jealous, without even admitting to feeling for one another.
At the dinner table later on that night, Zarbon and Morgan stayed silent while they were eating a roast beef. Well it was just the Macskavsky women that were eating the roast beef, Zarbon had a salad to settle for since he didn't eat land creatures.
Diana couldn't help but notice that both of them were not cheery nor talkative, "Is something wrong, what happened?" Diana asked.
"Nothing, we got into a fight is all." Morgan said.
"What was the fight about? I hardly ever see you guys fight, did something happen last night?" Diana asked.
"Oh how was the opera last night, it must have been really boring," Erin said smiling since she knew damn well that Zarbon hated the opera and only went to maybe make a move on Morgan.
"It was dumb, it was stupider than I thought it would be, and I had a terrible time." Zarbon said.
"Wow, someone is being Mr. Negative over there. If you didn't want to go with me, you should have never of invited me to go with you." Morgan said.
"You don't get it Morgan this isn't about the opera like you think it is! It's about Pavarotti!" Zarbon said.
"I hear only wonderful things about him," Diana said.
"Of course he has talent nobody is denying that," Zarbon said.
"Ewww, let me guess Morgan has a crush on Pavarotti, yep I knew it." Erin said sticking her fork into her beef.
"Can we talk about something else for once, this conversation is going nowhere." Morgan said.
"Fine, let's talk about your petty jealously of those women running on the beach towards me!" Zarbon said.
"I told you I was not jealous!" Morgan said.
"But you didn't say you weren't either!" Zarbon said.
"Wait when did you two go to the beach just recently?" Erin asked.
"No, it was a fantasy she was having, when I asked her if she would like to go to the beach with me." Zarbon said.
"Wait, wait, wait are you two officially dating now?" Diana asked.
Morgan then started laughing, "Are you kidding? With all the other hot women out there, he would just be wasting his time with me, especially concerning the opera." Morgan said.
"But I didn't consider the opera a waste of time, because I went with you, with anyone else it would have been. I didn't have the greatest time, but if I had to do it all over again…" Zarbon said.
"Oh come on, you mean to tell me you never figured out by now that Zarbon has feelings for you? And you wonder why he is so upset about Pavarotti? I mean come on, why else would a guy go do something he hates with you?" Erin asked.
Zarbon then looked over at Erin, and it was the day Diana dreaded. She would have preferred that Zarbon would have waited until Morgan turned sixteen to tell her how he felt about her, it was the legal thing to do.
"What it's the truth, Zarbon has been open about wanting to be more than friends with you since day one. It doesn't make much sense to me, but he just likes you like that. I really think he truly cares deeply for you, he's just a little misguided is all." Erin said smiling as she was eating her roast beef.
"Erin you officially have no soul do you?" Zarbon asked.
"I sure don't." Erin said smirking.
Morgan then got angry, "Jesus Zarbon, you went and told my family that you had feelings for me? Are you really that callous? Are you so willing to get into my pants that much that you would go and lie to my family about having feelings for me?" Morgan asked.
"Diana, put my salad in the refrigerator, I'll eat the rest of it later!" Zarbon said getting up from the table and walking away.
"What the hell is his problem?" Morgan asked.
"Morgan, I think you hurt his feelings, he clearly looks hurt. You need to apologize to him," Diana said.
"For what, putting him in his place? That guy has been awkwardly flirting with me since day one and as cute as it is, I still am under the impression that he wants to get into my pants." Morgan said.
"Did he ever think that when you read his thoughts?" Diana asked.
"Come to think of it no, but he had a mental brick wall up in his thoughts, so I couldn't really tell if it was that or something else." Morgan said.
"Morgan you don't ever know until you ask, I would never suggest this of anyone who is my daughter, but the only way to find out if he wants to get into your pants, is to ask him." Diana said.
"What? Are you saying I should offer myself as a sacrificial lamb?" Morgan asked.
"No dear that is not what I mean, I mean unless you have solid proof that he is just trying to get into your pants, then you have no reason to think that." Diana said.
"Oh she told you good." Erin said laughing.
"But mom, he's forty three years old, how can a forty three year old man want a fifteen year old woman like me? Does that make any sense to you?" Morgan asked.
"I don't think it's impossible for a man to fall in love with a teenager, it used to happen all the time. If you look at the old days, men who were well into their forties and fifties fell in love with teenagers and even married them." Diana said.
"But that was the old days, how is that even prevalent now-a-days? That was during a time when women had no say-so in who they married and were used as pawns." Morgan said.
"Also consider that he's an alien, just because he's in his forties doesn't mean his hormones are as dangerous or as violent as a human's. I'm not saying you should give him the benefit of the doubt, but I just don't know how similar a human man's temperament is to his species temperament." Diana said.
"I don't know what I'm going to do. When I resurrected him, I wanted him to kill me, because I read in that gossip magazine about famous aliens, that he killed people for Frieza. I never thought he would be interested in even being my friend. The whole plan has gone south." Morgan said.
"Well it's too late for that, he doesn't seem to be going anywhere for a long time. Then you need to make a decision, either you wait until your sixteen to go out with him, or you tell him you aren't interested, but don't leave him hanging, if you do that then he will just get more flustered." Diana said.
"Like I said, he does genuinely care for you. I talked with him, Jada has talked with him, Bulma 2 has talked with him, and hell even mom has talked with him. We have all talked with him. It's quite possible that you are leading him on too, if you don't like him you need to tell him so that he can move onto someone else." Erin said.
"Ok fine, I'll talk to him tonight," Morgan said.
Later on that night Zarbon was up late watching TV, and Morgan went downstairs and stared at him from the kitchen.
Zarbon turned to face her, "Hi, what are you doing here?" He asked.
"Look I'll give you want you want ok?" Morgan asked.
"What are you talking about?" Zarbon asked.
"Look, I know that you only want to have sex with me, just because I'm good looking and God's gift to mankind. Look, let's just get it over with, I won't tell the police, but at the same time I'm not sure if statutory rape counts only for humans or both humans and aliens." Morgan said.
"Does it matter I don't want to risk breaking the law." Zarbon said.
Morgan then did something she probably shouldn't have done, she took her pajamas off and then her underwear and went over to Zarbon who looked shocked to see her naked.
"What are you doing?" Zarbon asked.
"Come on Zarbon; if this is what you wanted to begin with, then why don't you just go for it?" Morgan asked.
"You never even asked me what I wanted; you just assumed that I wanted you for sex." Zarbon said.
"Fine what is it you want then?" Morgan asked.
"Does it matter now?" Zarbon asked.
"Please don't ignore me, just look at me and at least tell me you have some kind of desire in your eyes." Morgan said.
So Zarbon looked at her, of course this isn't the first time he had ever seen her naked, in fact she had a habit of after showering, she dropped her towels off of her body when he was around. He knew that that her dropping her towel that many times in front of him was no accident. Either she was tempting him, or she was being really mean and teasing him.
He wasn't going to lie to himself though; of course he wanted to sleep with her, what guy wasn't willing to do that? Yes many women have offered to sleep with him many times, but this is the first time that someone actually took their cloths all the way off and offered to sleep with him. It made it a little hard for him to resist. He knew though that she was being desperate and that was just unattractive to him.
He sighed, "Go back upstairs Morgan, I'm tired and I need to sleep." Zarbon said.
"Why you, here I am naked right in front of you and you won't take me to bed with you? Can you at least come over to me and scan me or something?" Morgan asked.
Zarbon then sighed, got up and walked over to her. He scanned her body just like she asked him to. But what she didn't understand was that he took sex very seriously and not so lightly like she thought. Yes he did eventually want to have sex with her, but not like this! This was too impersonal for him, what was the point in having sex with someone who thought you only wanted a booty call with them?
It's like we said in the very beginning, Morgan did in fact have feelings for Zarbon, but she had a hard time admitting to it. It's perfectly understandable that when he first confessed to her that he wanted to marry her and have children with her, it freaked her out and she assumed it was some stupid pickup line he used to get her into bed with him.
"I can't, it just doesn't feel right." Zarbon said.
"Don't you at least want to touch my boobs and my butt while I'm naked?" Morgan asked staring at him with her dark brown doe-like eyes.
"Go back upstairs right now." Zarbon said sternly.
Morgan then put her pajamas and underwear back on, and then she went back upstairs. The rest of the night she was crying in her mother's arms.
"He wouldn't even have sex with me!" Morgan said.
"I don't know why you even did that, that's quite a dangerous thing to do honey. Besides it might be illegal too, you are only fifteen and he's forty three, and we don't want him to go to jail. I'm not sure if they will count a forty three year old alien having sex with a minor as statutory rape, but why take any chances?" Diana asked.
"Because I love him that's why," Morgan said.
"Time out, you made it sound like you only wanted to have sex with him. You also never asked him what he really wanted. You just assumed that he only wanted sex with you, but rejecting you for sex clearly showed that he doesn't want you just for sex. He's really scared of breaking the law; he really doesn't want to go to jail." Diana said.
"But mom I wouldn't have felt violated if he had sex with me, I don't care what the stupid law says." Morgan said.
"I think you are missing the point of the law, you are clearly what we call jail bait, and Zarbon seems kind of vulnerable right now. He hardly has any friends on this planet, except us and Jada, and he probably doesn't know what love is. Who knows, maybe you are leading him on, and he naïvely thinks he has a chance with you." Diana said.
"I'm not trying to lead him on, when he stopped all those proclamations of love for me, I thought that maybe he just wanted to be friends or something. I also always assumed he just wanted to get into my pants, because dad says that that's what guys usually want when they show interest in a girl." Morgan said.
"Your father is overprotective of you, besides Erin is right, why did Zarbon go to all that trouble to go to the opera with you, no matter how much he bitched and complained about it? Was it because he wanted to get into your pants?" Diana asked.
"Probably, there are guys out there that do go to all that trouble," Morgan said.
"Yes and they usually try to do it right afterwards. But why would a guy who is trying to get into your pants want to waste time with you doing something you love to do and having to suffer for it?" Diana asked.
"I cannot really answer that, because it's the highest form of manipulation?" Morgan said.
"I think he did it because he genuinely cares for you, that's why. Yes it's in poor taste that he wants you as a girlfriend or a wife, or the mother of his children, but he's just going to have to wait until you are probably out of high school or something." Diana said.
"But it was something that he didn't want to do, and then he threw a temper tantrum about me crushing on Pavarotti." Morgan said.
"Which leads me to my next question, why would a guy throw a jealous hissy fit over a girl who admires a stage performer?" Diana asked.
"I don't know, maybe it's because he's self-centered?" Morgan asked.
"That could be very well true, but I am convinced that he isn't just after you because he wants to have hot sex with you. I gotten to know him these last few months, and he's really polite, kind, shy and quiet. He doesn't really talk much, but when he talks about you, his eyes light up the way a dog's eyes light up when they see their masters come home." Diana said.
"You swear this is true?" Morgan asked.
"Of course it's true, I like everyone else told him to wait it out until you were at least sixteen to ask you out, I'm not one hundred percent against you two dating, but I still think it's in questionable tastes." Diana said.
Diana had every right to think it was in questionable tastes. She never imagined in the past that Morgan would even be friends with an alien, then again a love interest of an alien. She wasn't even sure if Morgan and Zarbon were both mature enough to really know what actual love was. She just knew they both adored each other, they both confessed to her this, that was all.
As for Zarbon, of course Morgan offering herself to him for sex haunted him. She just completely missed the point; no he didn't go to the damn opera so he could find his way into her pants. He had always wanted something more with her than that. Needless to say, he managed to find a way to go to sleep and stop thinking about it. Tomorrow was another day.
