It was almost Saturday noon when the raven haired police who carried bunch of paper on her right hand and cold handkerchief on her left hand which pressed to her cheekbone. It's been 3 days after the fight with George Tyler at the bar but Emily's bruise still clearly didn't show a sign that it will gone soon. It was indeed stop to swelling but definitely still hurt whenever she touched it.

Emily drove her car out of the Harrisburg parking lot and went straight to Spencer's apartment. She barely focused on driving while her mind divided into the bruise on her cheekbone and meeting Spencer. Of course, meeting Spencer is easy but the hard part that she didn't tell Spencer about the bruise nor mention it. Suddenly, she found herself parked her car on the exact spot where she was meeting Spencer for lunch on the first time. Emily anxiously waited for Spencer while slightly pressing her cold handkerchief to her deep purple cheek.

Not take long enough for Spencer to find Emily's black car on the roadside. She quickly waved her hand to the raven haired police and walked quickly to her car. Emily unlocked her door and let Spencer gets in, on the passenger side.

"Hey!" Spencer exclaimed.

"Hey" Emily greeted back, still pressing her handkerchief.

"I can't believe you made it."

"Well, I guess a little vacation wouldn't hurt. I deserved one anyway." Emily said calmly while starting her car.

Spencer scrunched her eyebrows in confusion; she finally got what Emily's talking about when she noticed the deep purple stain on the police's cheek. "Holy…" Spencer said while slightly touched Emily's handkerchief and opened it. "What happened?"

Emily shrugged. "Got into a fight with the victim's uncle, he punched me on the cheek and I punched him on the abdomen so it's deadlock, no big deal."

"No big deal? This is clearly swelling, I'm sure it's hurt a lot." Spencer said worriedly.

"I'm fine Spencer, this is not much." Emily said trying to drop off the topic.

"Haven't you take x-ray? Do you have a fracture or broken bone or…"

"Spence, I'm fine. Really, I'm fine." Emily said, cutting Spencer off.

Spencer sighed and rested her head on the seat. "Okay, I just concerned about you." Spencer said honestly.

Emily glanced at Spencer. She put her handkerchief down and put her hand above Spencer's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I'm fine." Emily said while stared at Spence with her warm brown eyes that straight saying that she indeed okay and nothing to be concerned. Spencer got the meaning and shot her a warm smile of her own.

Emily focused her attention back on driving while slightly close her left eye to ease the sting on her cheek while Spencer debated on her mind whether she talks about their relationship now or maybe postpone it for later. She decided to speak about it but instead it came out differently. "So, how's the case?"

Emily glanced at Spencer quickly before answered. "Well, I'm on desk duty for 3 days, so I don't really know how the case going."

Spencer furrowed her eyebrows. "What do you mean you didn't know about the case?"

"Well, Detective Anthony handled the case for now, I'm just checking out reports on James, the family history and making a connection between what George said to us and James' statement, it's pretty confusing actually."

"What do you mean?" Spencer asked.

"The alibi of both of them didn't match any of the evidence and reports which made it harder for me to made it in order but we still think the strong suspect indeed victim's uncle. We still can't keep in touch with Adam's parent that made it crappier." Emily shrugged.

"Do you think like that? What did your partner said?" Spencer asked curiously.

"He said that he tried to get in touch with several people. I don't know much. He kind of keeping his distance from the others since the day he interrogated George." Emily sighed.

"What happened?" Spencer asked.

"George said a few things about seeing Adam's corpse right in front of his eyes and how my partner felt about it. After that, he just stormed out from the room and I'd only seen him once this morning before I left here"

"That's odd." Spencer stated shortly.

"Yeah, it is" Emily replied. There is an awkward silence between them as Spencer thought about what she should say next, so did Emily.

Emily who felt an uneasy atmosphere between them, she stared at the road before finally decided to spoke first. "Well, how is yours? Still working at the ER?"

Spencer let out a heavy breath and closed her eyes. "Yeah, but the good thing is, there are many resident that willing to assign me once they had done with the previous one and I had to wait at least two weeks until I got another."

"It's nice, isn't it?" Emily said while slightly glanced at Spencer.

"Yeah, I just thought that maybe I shouldn't do it at first, break it up with Dr. Warner. Maybe, I could get my first assignment recommendation or some kind of that" Spencer said remorsefully.

"Hey, it's not your fault Spence, you deserve better" Emily said reassuringly.

Spencer smiled. "Thanks. At least, I already made impressions for the attending by kept close to the patient. It's hard at first but I got to understand how they feel about their pain"

Emily looked at Spencer and smiled widely. "That's incredible. A doctor is supposed to do that not keeping friendly with paperwork. Emily said sarcastically.

"Yeah, I did a lot jobs back there. I'm making sure that I wrote down all of the patient condition before the attending got there and gave them the medicine that they need."

"Is it that busy as a doctor? I always have time to eat donuts." Emily chuckled.

Spencer grinned. "If you said that on purpose, you don't have to show your abs and get me to be jealous of it."

"Oh? Okay." She chuckled. "So, did you call Hanna or Aria?"

"I did, last night after work and they said that they will meet us there." Spencer said while took out her phone and checked her call history.

"Cool. So, what else did you heard from them?"

"Hanna is absolutely a fashion consultant in New York, Aria is literature teacher at Hollis and they both doing really great."

"Is that so? I'm really proud of them." Emily said softly.

"You really didn't keep in touch with them, did you?" Spencer asked.

"Well, you already knew the reason." Emily said while they drove to the border area of Philadelphia. "Well, we are back on Philly." Emily exclaimed.

Spencer chuckled at Emily's excitement before turning back her attention on the road. Emily unbuckled her seatbelt while kept driving to the local restaurant on the roadside.

"Oh, here it is." Emily exclaimed.

Spencer unbuckled her seatbelt too while Emily parked her car. Spencer quickly spotted her blonde friend at the entrance and followed by the short brunette who just came outside to join her. "Hey, that's Hanna and Aria!" Spencer exclaimed.

Emily quickly looked up and saw her two best friends already waited for them in front of the restaurant. Emily turned off the engine and get out from the car, followed by Spencer. The blonde quickly ran up to both of them, ignoring the shorter brunette shout.

"Hey, yo—"Emily's words were cut off as the blonde jumped to her arm in excitement. Emily quickly steadied herself and the blonde on her arms.

"Where the hell have you been Fields?!" She lashed out, still wrapping her hands around Emily's neck, Emily spontaneously coughing because of Hanna's grip.

"Han! You are choking her!" Aria shouted. The blonde quickly get off of Emily and released her grip from the police.

Spencer chuckled at the sight of Hanna holding Emily tightly, not to mention a little jealous. Emily tenderly released Hanna's hands off her neck and pushed the blonde off. "Jeez, I think you are lucky enough to be my friend." Emily blurted.

Hanna who already released her grip stared at Emily in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"

"If you are complete strangers and you do that to me, maybe I will press charge against you for attacking a police officer." Emily said jokingly, getting a pout from Hanna and a burst of laugh from Spencer and Aria.

"Well, don't blame me for that, though. You are the one who never keep in touch with us." She said while crossing her arms in front of her chest.

Emily sighed. "I'm sorry for that, alright? Why can't we talk about this inside? Obviously before Spencer's stomach start grumbling like a siren." Emily teased the slender brunette.

Spencer blushed slightly. "Hey, I'm not like that!" Spencer said, pretending to be mad.

"Don't worry Spence, we kept your secret." Aria winked. Hanna and Emily both chuckled.

Spencer rolled her eyes and followed her friends into the restaurant.

"What happened to your cheek?" Aria asked when she noticed the bruise on Emily's cheek.

"Work accident" Emily answered shortly, clearly not wanting to bring this up.

"So, would you explain yourself why you never returned any of our calls on the last couple months?" Hanna asked once they were all settled in a table by the window and already ordered their foods.

Emily, who was seating beside Spencer, nervously tilted her head and smiled at her friend. "It's complicated" She answered shortly.

"Well, I didn't do complicated. So, spill!" The blonde demanded.

"She was just going to forget something else which involved all of us, and I don't think it's important, just forget what past and let everything run smoothly, alright?" Spencer cut in. Clearly she trying to defend Emily from Hanna's curiosity and she didn't want Hanna and Aria knew about her and Emily's status which they both decided to leave it hanging for now.

"Oh, that's our order!" Emily exclaimed, instantly distracting Hanna who was about to ask another question.

The waiter put down their foods on the table and Spencer was the first one to take a bite from her lasagna. Aria scrunched her eyebrows and then chuckled at her best friend. "She never lost her appetite, did she?"

"What? I'm hungry!" Spencer said defensively, mouth full of chewed lasagna.

Emily and Hanna quickly joined the laughter before Hanna decided to speak up. "So, when do you guys will back to Rosewood?"

"I was literally at Rosewood. So, I don't have to answer that." Aria said nonchalantly.

"Well, I was thinking maybe I will back to Rosewood once my case is done. I still got something to do anyway." Emily said while taking a bite from her food.

"How is Jade, Em?" Aria asked, Spencer furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she heard strangers name coming from Aria's mouth.

"The last time I sent postcard to my mom, she is fine."

"Who is Jade?" Hanna asked before Spencer could open her mouth.

"Jade is my host sister from Austria, she live with my mom until she finished college." Emily answered.

"You never told me that." Spencer said while staring at the police.

Emily looked at Spencer and put on her "I will tell you later" look which Spencer quickly got.

"So, how do you know her, Aria?" Spencer asked to the shorter brunette

"She goes to Hollis and Emily's mom practically dropped her off almost every day."

"Looks like someone got a competition" Hanna playfully shoved Emily's hand.

"Don't blame my mom, she missed me but it is because a reason that she made that I didn't come home either." Emily said while taking another bite from her food.

"What is that?" Aria asked. All of the girls quickly looked at Emily.

Emily sipped her water and thought about what her mom said when she was about to graduate 5 years ago. "You guys promise, don't want to make a fun of it?" Emily asked, the other girls looked at each other and then nodded. Emily took another sip of her water before continue. "My mom said that I can't come home if I didn't bring any girl before I'm 25."

"What?" Spencer widened her eyes.

"Actually, she kind of said it like I can come home but if I didn't bring any girls to date with, my mom will looking for a fight, trust me."

"Well, that's odd." Aria said while nudged at Hanna.

Hanna looked at Emily who still drinking and then to Spencer who taking another bite from her food. "I think you already found someone to bring home with." Hanna blurted out.

Both Emily and Spencer silently choked and Aria is the first one to realize that. "Jesus, you okay, guys?"

Hanna smirked knowingly while Emily and Spencer composed themselves. Aria slapped Hanna's arms and glared at the smirking blonde.

"What do you mean by that, Han?" Spencer asked once she composed herself.

"Why don't you figure it out yourself? I'm pretty sure you already knew that." The blonde smirked.

"Drop this conversation, alright?" Emily said suddenly. Clearly feel uncomfortable with the atmosphere around her right now.

"Okay." Hanna said while put her hands up in a mock surrender.

"I think it feels like back to old times, right? We teased each other, we laughed together like we never apart." Aria said, changing the subject.

"Yup, totally agree. We used to do things like this back in high school. Well, minus the 'A' problem of course." Emily added.

"I just wish that bitch never came to our lives. Maybe it could end up differently. Spencer will still go to Princeton, Emily will go to Danby, I'm going to France and Aria goes to NYADA. Well, after all, she pretty ruined our lives." Hanna said while taking a bite from her food.

"Just look at the good side, Han. I will still be the old Spencer you know. Obsessive, hot headed, and competitive nerd like I used to be before A comes to our lives." Spencer stated.

"Me too, I will never come out or realized who I am if A hadn't blackmailed me in the first place and maybe it's a good thing that I became a police, I could do much better investigation than sneaking around like Wilden." Emily said to her friends.

"Agreed." Spencer nudged Emily's upper arm.

Hanna shared a knowing look with Aria before turning back her attention to the two lovebirds in front of her. "So, do you two still have a thing going on?" She blurted out suddenly.

Emily choked on her food again as soon as Hanna finished say that. Spencer quickly grabbed a bottle of water and handed it to the raven haired police who quickly drank the water in it.

"Hanna, do you really want to kill Em twice?" Spencer asked while helping Emily steady herself and patted her back gently.

Hanna shrugged defensively. "What? I'm only asking." The blonde said innocently.

Emily who still coughing, looked at the blonde sharply which made her felt chill around her body suddenly. "I really should put a fine for you by trying to kill a police officer twice." Emily said jokingly while rubbed her nape.

"I thought you are going to send me to jail for real!" The blonde shouted.

"Well, maybe I can if you choked me again." Emily teased, still rubbing her nape and Spencer patted her back.

"Seriously, Han? You wanted to get revenge on Em because she didn't call us back or what?" Spencer glared at the blonde.

"Jeez, relax Spencer. Okay, okay, I'm sorry. You will forgive me, right, Em?" The blonde put on her best puppy eyes and looked at Emily pleadingly.

Emily sighed and rolled her eyes. "Of course I will forgive you Hanna."

"Yeay!" The blonde exclaimed.

Aria decided to change the subject before Hanna could ask more ridiculous questions to Emily and Spencer. "So, Spence, when will you come back to Rosewood?"

Spencer moved her hand from Emily's back and fold her hands on the table. "No idea, but I think the end of summer. My mom has been calling me obviously, she asked me to move back to Rosewood once my internship is over and start residency there."

"Will you move back there?" Emily asked once she had reeling from the coughing.

"I don't know, still thinking about it actually" Spencer shrugged. "How is your family, Han?"

"My mom practically still begged the pastor to propose her which I can predict that another wedding will happen sooner than later." Hanna said while took out her phone from her purse.

"Who is that?" Aria peeked through Hanna's shoulder.

"It's just Caleb. We'll go back to New York this night." Hanna said while shoving back her phone to her purse.

"You still date him?" Emily asked.

"Well, it turns out that graduation party is not the end of it. You know what I mean, right, Spence?" Hanna raised one of her eyebrows to Spencer, teasing her.

Spencer shot a death glare to Hanna before glanced at Emily who shifted uncomfortably.

"Well, I think I will be sticking in Philly for a while, I got a meet with a literature professor from Ohio this night. Do you know a nice hotel that I could rent for this night, Em?" Aria asked.

Emily folded her hands on the table. "Why don't you come to my apartment instead? I know it's not that good but at least save you some cash" She offered.

Aria was about to accept that offer when Hanna glared at her and slyly nudged at Spencer. Aria rolled her eyes at the blonde before smiled at her best friend. "No, thanks Em, but I think I don't want to bore you with some literature stuff. I'll find a hotel." Aria said to the police.

"Okay. Well, it's really nice to see you guys again and I'm really sorry that I never contacted you. I promise I won't do that again. Oh, yeah, next time you see me, Han. Maybe I will consider bringing a fine slip with me" Emily said to her blonde best friend.

"Oh, come on! I was sorry, alright? We were paid off!" The blonde scowled.

Emily, Spencer and Aria chuckled at her.

"Yeah, whatever, bye guys." Emily waved a goodbye to Hanna and Aria and then gestured Spencer back to her car.

Once Emily and Spencer were out of sight, Hanna turned her attention to Aria and grinning suspiciously.

"What?" The shorter brunette asked.

"I know that Emily and Spencer never apart, just look at how they choked when I mention something related to their relationship." Hanna chuckled.

Aria smiled and nodded. "Yeah, they are obviously never good at hiding things. Just hoping that they will be good together, I can't wait to see them holding hand in public."

"Oh, it will be my Facebook profile picture" Hanna stated, still grinning.

The shorter brunette furrowed her eyebrows. "Why do you want to post a profile picture of that?"

"Because I like it when it comes to Spencer and Emily but don't tell them, alright?" The blonde sated ridiculously.

Aria shook her head and laughed. "Alright, up to you, Han."

Emily parked her car on her apartment parking lot which located not too far away from the restaurant she had been earlier. Spencer already told her that maybe she could spent the night at Emily's which she quickly approved. Actually, Emily had doubted it at first considering that they left their relationship hanging and she didn't want things to be awkward when they will be in the same room but her instinct told her to deal with it and see how things will go.

Emily unlocked her apartment door and gestured Spencer to come inside first. Spencer shot her a smile before she gets inside. Emily closed her door and turned around only to find Spencer staring at her apartment, Emily's apartment not as big as Spencer's but it still comfy and suitable for her to live in it.

"Nice room." Spencer said while admiring the interior of Emily's apartment. It is pretty much looked the same as Emily's room back in Rosewood, still with swimming's trophies, a few books and a laptop on her desk.

"Thanks, suit yourself, can I get you something?" The police asked.

"No, I'm good. Thanks for letting me stay Em." Spencer said while sat down at Emily's couch.

Emily shot her a smile before walked to her fridge to retrieve a bottle of water from it. "Don't mention it."

Spencer smiled back before she rested her head against the couch and sighed heavily. Emily took a sip of her water before putting it back to the fridge and slowly approached the brunette.

Emily sat down beside Spencer and patted her shoulder. "You okay?"

Spencer exhaled her breath before faced Emily. "I'm fine, just stressed out."

"If you are thinking about your job, just forget it for a while".

"I'm trying but it seems like it keep haunting me that I won't get a resident even I know I will get it!" Spencer said loudly.

"Relax! You and I know that you are amazing and no one can resist you, it's their lost if they didn't get you as their resident!" Emily said reassuringly.

Spencer furrowed her eyebrows and then sighed. "I hope so." Spencer rubbed her neck nervously. Actually, it's not the only think that she'd been thinking about and she has to say it now or never. "Em?"

"Yeah?"

"Where do you think we stand, right now?" Spencer asked.

Emily blinked, finally. She thought. "We are still hanging." She said shortly.

"Do you feel comfortable with that?" Spencer asked, clearly trying to fish out Emily to say it first.

"No." She said, firmly and honestly. "Do you?"

"No." Spencer said shortly. "So, what do you wanna do about that?"

Emily ducked her head and pursed her lips before looked up at Spencer. "Spencer Hastings, are you trying to fish me out?" She smirked.

Spencer chuckled. "Maybe I am, maybe I am not."

Emily let out her breathtaking smile and took Spencer's hand with hers. She looked straight to Spencer's big brown warm eyes waiting for an approval.

Spencer slowly nodded and slowly pulled Emily towards her. Emily's hands moved quickly to Spencer's face the same time as her lips found its way to Spencer's. Emily tilted her head and captured Spencer's lips in such a lustful passionate kiss. Spencer wrapped her arms around Emily's neck, pulling her closer. Spencer opened her mouth and deepened the kiss, Emily quickly stuck her tongue in Spencer's mouth, the y tongue quickly battle for dominance. Spencer could feel of the electricity running throughout her body as she suck Emily's tongue like the last they had been making out at her couch few days ago.

Emily could feel a heat between her thighs getting warmer and warmer as she and Spencer slowly lay down on her couch. Spencer grip Emily's hip and slowly unbuttoned Emily's coat. Spencer move down her lips to Emily's neck and bite it gently, Emily let out a soft moan as she smell the scent of Spencer and a mixture of mint on her hair.

When Spencer successfully unbuttoned Emily's coat, Emily quickly took it off and tossed it somewhere before pushing Spencer down and captured her lips again. Emily's kisses trailed down to Spencer's jaw and neck. Emily gently unzipped Spencer's jacket and intuitively her palm brushed Spencer's breast which made her had shiver throughout her body.

"Em…." She moaned softly.

Emily pulled back and stared at Spencer's eyes which had turned darker and full of lust. Emily had a thought to tease Spencer which made her smirked seductively. Emily breathed throughout Spencer's face, every inches of her skin and it turned out that Spencer started to breath uncontrollably and shivered throughout her body. Emily made her mouth up to Spencer's eyes and breathed through it and whispered. "How are you thinking?"

Spencer shut her eyes tightly and breathed hardly, a warm sensation between her legs cannot be postpone anymore, she kissed Emily's neck lightly before made its way to Emily's ear and whispered back. "Your bed, now." She commanded.
