Where we left off, Jaz defeated an enormous wolf beast only to discover that he was actually a half man-beast. Then after Jaz, Rojar, and Joseph's dog headed back inside the abandoned looking "hospital" to search for something helpful.

"I hope this creature can find his owner somehow. We've got to rescue that man before we leave to find Earl Ciel Phantomhive." Jaz said.

CRUNCH!

As Jaz said this, Rojar popped out of her bookbag with a bag of cheesy chips. The dog jumped at her back, trying to reach the bag.

She quickly took off her book bag and pulled Rojar out.

"Stop that!"

"Hey, I was hungry."

Joseph's dog licked the crumbs off the ground and then ate from the chip bag.

"Hey! Those were mine!" Rojar yelled

Jaz put her back pack on. "Well it looks like Little Joe disagrees."

"...Little Joe?...Really?"

"It's just a nickname until we find his owner Joseph. Like it?"

"...I have no words or you. "

Jaz saw a door with the label "Howard Pedlar M.D. of Houndsworth Village" and ran over to it.

"Great let's break in! Doctors always got the best furniture!" Rojar said.

"What? No, Joseph might have touched this. Hopefully he can pick up his scent." Jaz said.

He sniffed at the door for a long time...but alas, the dog just stared back at Jaz and licked her face.

"Well this sucks." Rojar said.

They both headed out of the abandoned building, but discovered the man-beast. He had the crushed bag of chips in his hand. But his eyes, however, didn't look like the rage fueled beast Jaz fought earlier. In fact, they almost look teary-eyed..

"Oh dear."

Before Jaz could respond, the man beast squeezed her and whined.

Little Joe growled at the man beast and tries biting his ear, but the man beast pushed him away and continued to whine at Jaz.

"W-what..in the name of Rama..is going on here?"

Rojar tried to yank Jaz out of the beast's grip, but the man beast simply tossed him through the glass door of the doctor's. His scream echoed as he fell into an abyss.

"Rojar?!" Jaz yelled.

"Help!"

She couldn't get a good look of the room before she slipped down a deep, dark pit dug up in the middle of the room. The man beast jumped after her, and Little Joe ran out of the room, barking.

The hole was quite deep. The man beast wrapped his arms around Jaz, and breathed fire. But rather than burn them, the fire wrapped around the two.

"Ho-How in the world?!"

The man beast pressed Jaz's hand on the fire, and her eyes lit up.

The two somehow fell faster, passed by Rojar and finally met the end of the pit. However, their shield of combined power protected them from the impact of the long fall.

"What just happened? I feel...off. "

When the beast licks her face, she shudders. "Blech! What on Earth is he?"

Thankfully, Rojar managed to break the awkwardness when he landed into Jaz's open book bag.

She hugged him, but he doesn't look so good.

"Blech! Not so hard..I think my intestines are still shifting!"

"Hehe, I'm so glad you're alive!...And thank you….strange creature." Jaz said.

She attempted to shake the man beast's hand, but he licked her hand instead.

"There's something really off about him, and it's not helping my stomach settle." He said.

"Rojar, he helped saved your life. Mine too, actually-

"Let us not forget who started this little problem, hm?"

Rawrrr!

"Okay, okay! Nevermind! He's the most normal guy around!"

"..Actually, I do have a few questions, sir." She said. "Why were you following us back there? And how did you do that trick with the fire?"

Jaz followed the man beast down a hallway filled with prison cells. My apologies for that mistake but, uh….it is very disgusting to describe. The whole room looked creepy; it was partially covered in dirt and the other covered in dog skulls. Not to mention the blood splatters in certain areas of the floor. Not to mention there were only torches lighting the place!

From one of the cells there was a big puddle of blood, and it looked fresh...

Jaz runs over to that cell. "..What even is this?"

When the man beast sniffed the cage, barked and growled at it. A figure emerged from the shadow, and it was revealed to be a deceased corpse of a man..

Jaz slowly backs away from the cell, and fell to the ground. The young girl had never imagined a trail of blood, or a dead body outside of books. The stench breached her senses, fracturing her state of mind. How awful, rotten, and cold this air was. Her legs felt like a wobbly chair leg, and her stomach internally erupted a boiling pot of vomit.

WHISsh...

As the damp breeze brushes past her cheek, she stared blankly at the cell...

"...This feeling...what have I done?"

Rojar pat her on the back, but she shooed him away eventually.

"Angel, it's not our fault.-

She just continued to stare at the cell while the puddle of blood starts drifting.

"There's something here that's hurting...why?...I don't even know them."

….

Jaz and Rojar stood outside the hospital. The man beast appears from the hospital and begins rubbing against her waist.

"...What are you thinking, Jazzy?".

She sighed and walked towards the town's gates. "We've got to go."

"-..It's better if we forget whatever happened here. There's nothing else we can do...right?"

Rojar nods. "It'll feel good getting away from this depression joint."

The man beast bit at Jaz's bag.

She groaned. "What, you want to show me another dead body? Well you should've made it a bird, Mr. Monster..thing."

He licked her hand, but she shooed him away. Little Joe barked at the man beast and the two engage in a short aggressive growl off, but the dog sped past him to the girl's side. Jaz sighs. "Looks like we're going to have to find you a new owner, little guy."

Late at night, we find our protagonists walking along a dirt road. Jaz is carrying a sleeping Rojar in her messenger bag, and Little Joe is following them.

"...Our first objective is to find Ciel Phantomhive. The second objective is to gain his trust. Then the third is to find out who is after him that will turn him into a demon."
