Lamoon: Alright I'm back to attempt to write once more! I'm sorry it's been so long everyone. My inspiration dried out once again, but now it has returned and strong! So now I write with new found passion! But, I don't own Blue Exorcist sadly.
"What an annoyance," Yukio sighed as he cleaned blood off his gun. He looked at the demon corpse in anger. This one had refuse to talk as well. Honestly, demons thought that it was fine to die simply because they would be sent to Gehenna. What a foolish thought to have. Death is death no matter how you look at it. Yukio hated interrogating demons that were suspected of being involved with rebel forces. It was always a nuisance dealing with the bodies once they were deceased. He sighed looking at the body of a teen with silver hair and dead eyes. "What a waste. If they just talked then we wouldn't have to spend precious resources on them." Yukio took off his blood stained apron and gloves leaving the room with a smile addressed the girl standing by the door, "Shiemi, clean this up please."
"Of course, Mr. Okumura," Shiemi stated with no concern as she began to clean the room disposing of the corpse by tossing it in the trash.
Yukio strode down the halls of True Cross Academy with a fake smile plastered on his face noting the giggling of hopeless fan-girls that would never leave him be. Be perfect. Be flawless. Be human. A contradiction in society if there ever was such a thing. Humans are flawed creatures, yet in order to survive in society you must learn to be perfect. After all if society sees you as flawed or useless then society will give up on you and think you're a demon. If you do exceed people too much though jealousy will arise and you will be branded a demon. A fine line must be walked in order to be human. This line is what society calls perfect.
Yukio had achieved perfection easily whereas his idiot brother was more flawed then the common, human, harlots who at least had a place in society. In fact he was always surprised that Rin had held a role in society for as long as he had. It was almost a relief when Rin had been forced into slavery. Almost. The only problem with Rin's enslavement was that it could lead to discovery of his brother's identity and then Rin might rat him out as well. He'd need to find some way to remedy that loose link soon.
Then there was the problem with the latest rebel gang. They were impossible to pinpoint making it hard to catch any of them. In fact the only information the church had managed to obtain was that was that the rebels were planning on destroying the Vatican. Otherwise everything was a complete mystery. But, he did have an idea now thanks to their latest catch.
Opening up his notebook Yukio eyed his next appointment for the evening. He smiled at the name written on the paper. He would have much fun with this assignment.
Entering the next room for his assignment with a smile. "Hello Kaito, it appears you were disobedient again. I'm very disappointed with you right now," he tsked pulling out a small medical knife. "Today, I think we shall have to sever some nerve endings or how about removing that eye of your?"
The demon strapped down on the metal table panicked and squirmed giving muffled screams in a desperate attempt to escape his bonds or at least call for help.
"What an annoyance," Yukio muttered placing a hard hand on the demon's throat. "Would you prefer I cut out that annoying voice box?"
The demon's blue eyes pleaded for mercy. Making Yukio smirk, "I wouldn't do something like that to you Kaito. After all," Yukio proceeded to slice the skin below Kaito's eye, "you are by far my favorite one to play with."
There was no falsehood in his statements. Yukio loved to hurt Kaito the most, because of all the demons in the Cram school Kaito resembled Rin the most. Though they really only shared their blue eyes as a similarity. It was enjoyable, almost therapeutic to imagine Rin in pain by Yukio's hand.
He was never sure as to where this great hatred of his brother came from or when it had arisen, but it filled Yukio with a joy he could not compare. The idea of laughing in his brother's face for being the flawed creature that he is was simply divine.
"Oh, you're not going to cry?" Yukio laughed gliding his blade along the delicate nerve endings making an array across the demon's chest. "That's no fun."
Yukio wanted this one to break under his hand. To cause the demon to stop thinking of itself as something similar to a human would be a wonderful thing. "Why aren't you crying?" he spoke now with a hint of anger.
Yukio jabbed the knife deep within Kaito's chest forcing a pained screech from his throat. That was much better. Yukio pulled the knife out and stabbed again and again. How riveting. Yukio, tortured the demon joyfully imagining that Kaito was Rin. Looking into those eyes that began carrying that dead look. Yukio didn't want this though. The fire in his eyes was made him want to torture the demon.
"Don't give me that deadening stare! You aren't allowed to look at me like that yet! You aren't allowed to give up," Yukio shouted at the demon shaking his neck violently as the demon let out whimper. "I hate you creatures! All of you are imperfect, flawed, corrupted creatures that have no real purpose in this world!" Yukio was so close to ripping out that demon's eye with his own hand.
"Mr. Okumura the hours up 79# has been sufficiently corrected," Shiemi stated immediately breaking Yukio from his trance.
Regaining his composure Yukio immediately leapt from the demon and started making himself more presentable. "Right. Thank you Shiemi, please take #79 back to his living quarters and feed him dinner. If you need me I'll be in my office."
"Understood," she smiled as she unhooked the demon from the table and chained him to a leash. "Come on 79# let's get you home." Shiemi smiled as she led him down to the demons living area. One would think that working in this job would not be so sweet and kind. Shiemi always figured that demons deserved pity. After all they were such sad creatures no better than animals and far more violent.
Leading 79# to the cramped cages she placed him in side and poured him a bowl of gruel. "Sleep tight now." Shiemi left the demon who would not stop glaring in furry. Shiemi saw demons the same way most people dis. As tools and vermin. Often most demons that got disposed immediately after the auction. Some died during exorcist's training, other were simply disposed, and then there were the few that became the equivalent of pets. Either way the church worked to make sure that all demons were properly taken care of.
Entering into her boss's office Shiemi fixed up her slightly disheveled appearance. Yukio's office was beautifully decorated with books and oak wood furniture. Standing next to Yukio was female demon pouring him a drink nervously. "Mr. Okumura-"
"Shiemi, drop the formalities already and you," he gestured to demoness,"leave," Yukio said sipping the drink as he looked over his papers. The demoness scurried out of the room in a hurry leaving the two talk. "So has there been anything
"No. They haven't unfortunately," Shiemi cringed sitting on the desk giving a loud huff. "Why do I have to play nice with them?"
"The same reason I have to play the role of the villain," Yukio smirked gesturing for Shiemi to come closer.
"There's a big difference between your job and mine, mostly being that yours is one that you actually enjoy," Shiemi grinned closing the distance between them.
"Oh, don't lie and tell me you don't get off on those few you do get to torture at times," Yukio smirked kissing Shiemi.
"And don't lie to me saying that you should love torturing them imagining the person you hate most in pain," Shiemi smirked mischievously whispering her words into Yukio's ear. "Sometimes you get so carried away you actually kill them."
"Sometimes you lash out at them and then I have to kill them," he laughed kissing her again looking into those sadistic eyes that loved to rid the world of sin as much as he did. "I want new information as soon as possible especially on Halbrig's place. I don't trust her or her business something about seems suspicious."
"Understood, I will investigate immediately," Shiemi said leaving Yukio's side and sauntering out the door. Yukio let out a snort watching the seemingly normal innocent girl leave. He was always impressed with how he'd managed to bring Shiemi into this dark business. She'd never shown any interest in the art of exorcism, but Yukio had convinced her to become a caretaker for the demons in the Vatican and now she was a great informant. Actually, she was the one whom assigned the punishment to all the demons.
Now as far as Halbrig he'd need to do something regarding her. The fact she bought Rin of all demons when his brother wasn't even as attractive as some of the others baffled Yukio to no end. No, Halbrig was planning something he was certain of that. Yukio just had to figure out exactly what the plan was and he was certain with some help from Mephisto (and Rin's overall stupidity) he'd figure this out. It was a strange relationship the church had with the demon king. Mephisto wasn't actually under contract or any sort of method that gave them control over him instead Mephisto freely worked with the church on a short leash that could easily be severed. Still Mephisto was just interested in watching this little game play out between the demons and exorcist.
A loud knock was heard on his door as one of his students, Shima, entered the room. "What is it?" Yukio sighed signing off on a paper.
"Okumura-sensei, I'm worried about a friend of mine," Shima said with concern.
"Which friend?" Yukio asked raising a brow.
"Bon- I mean Ryuji Suguro, sir," Shima answered.
"Why are you worried about him of all people?"
"Because, he's been way too friendly with that demon you keep bringing over. I want that fixed, because I'm certain it's out of hand," Shima exclaimed. "I'm worried that he might turn rogue or something."
"I understand. Now leave I'll deal with him soon," Yukio said watching as the Exwire walked away somewhat relieved to know his friend would be taken care of not noticing the disgusted look pasted on the teacher's face.
So his brother wanted to make friends here? 'I guess then I'm just going to have to punish both of them,' he thought to himself grinning madly in anticipation. Oh, yes he'd make sure his brother suffered sufficiently.
Lamoon: When I first started writing this I almost had a seen with spontaneous kitchen sex then the part of me that actually gives a damn about the plot said it was a bad idea. Why? Because, it did not fit the flow of the story. Also a part of me really wanted show how much everyone involved in exorcism is a sadistic asshole and write an evil Shiemi (which is incredibly fun to do). I know this chapter is short, but I've really been trying to fight that writer's block monster. This chapter actually took me almost month to finish. So, yeah writers block big time.
Also important mention- for those of you who are fans of Berry and Krei those two come from another fanfic that me and a buddy co-write. Berry and Krei were honestly meant to be joke cameos, but somehow ended up being part of the plot. So if you like them check their fic out. It's called Engraved on an Ivory Necklace.
