Arcee sighed, before getting eye level with the human child in Bumblebee's servo's. "Don't worry, little one. Bumblebee and I are just going for a drive, we'll be back soon." She promised.
Emily crossed her arms, and looked up at the femme critically. "Pinky p'omise?" She asked, holding out her tiny digit.
The blue femme smirked, and tapped her pinky on the child's. "Pinky promise." Arcee repeated firmly. The child smiled, and hugged the femme.
Bumblebee leaned down, and passed Emily to her brother before he turned to leave with the blue two-wheeler.
"Bulkhead, you're in charge." She said with a smirk.
"Bye Bee!" The child called to the scout. The yellow Autobot turned back for a moment, and waved at the small human, before transforming down into his alt. mode, and racing out behind the older blue femme.
After Arcee and Bumblebee had left, Bulkhead turned nervously to the humans. "Umm... So what do you humans like to do?" The green giant asked, but was quickly cut off by the squealing of a guitar.
"How about band practice?" Miko suggested with a smirk; a guitar perched on her shoulder.
"But we're not a band." Raf said sheepishly, as he uncovered his ears, looking up at the foreign girl.
"Why so anti-social?" Miko asked playfully. "Come on Raf, you play anything?"
The boy looked around, before bringing up his trusty laptop. "Keyboard?" He offered sheepishly.
"Laptops and samples, good!" Miko praised with a smile, before turning to Jack and Emily. "Jack?"
The dark-haired teen shifted his sister to his hip, and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Umm, I sometimes mess around on the harmonica."
"Do I look like I do country?!" The foreign girl said, glaring at the tall teen. "You two can just cover yourselves in fake blood, and jump around screaming."
Emily's eyes went wide and Jack glared at the girl. "Miko, I will not have my sister involved in your 'band'!" He exclaimed.
"Fine, she can go play on her own." The Japanese girl replied, turning to the large green mech watching them. "Bulkhead, percussion! We're going for that big industrial sound."
She turned back to the others with a satisfied smirk. "And DIY, we're a band! You just gotta learn the songs; this one's a ballad: My Fist, Your Face!"
Miko began wailing on her guitar, making the others cover their ears once more. Suddenly, a green light began flashing throughout the base, and an alarm blared.
"Woah, woah!" Bulkhead shouted over the metal screeching.
"Come on!" The Autobot's charge whined, as she stopped her playing. "You can't handle raw power?!"
The green giant ignored her. "It's a proximity sensor! Hide!" He exclaimed, hearing the mechanics of the elevator beginning to whirl to life.
Miko quickly set her guitar down, and followed the others, as they ran behind Bulkhead's left pede; getting out of sight, just as the elevator doors opened and a very angry Agent Fowler stormed out.
Jack set Emily on the ground, and held her to his side. He shared a nervous glance with Miko and Raf, seeing the question in their eyes.
What would happen, if Fowler saw them?
"PRIME!" The black man bellowed, as he stalked out and gripped the railing of the platform.
"Agent Fowler." Bulkhead said nervously, hoping he wouldn't find out about the humans. "Uhh, he's not here; nobody's here!... Except me, of course."
"Well, where is he?! Wait! Don't tell me. He's out pancaking a mini mall!" The government agent demanded, waving his hands in the air, and walking over to the staircase; that lead down to the ground level. "Now, I don't know what language you speak on your planet, and frankly, I don't care. But, Prime promised that he would handle the Decepticons; and blowing a crater in the middle of Nebraska, is NOT what 'handle' means in Engli..."
Fowler stopped short, when he noticed a purple sippy cup, and a coloring book near Ratchet's work table.
"Since when do you bot's color?" He asked skeptically, raising an eyebrow and turning back to the green titan.
"Uhhhh..." Bulkhead stumbled, trying to think up a convincing lie. "It's Bumblebee's!" He exclaimed quickly, hoping that the scout would never find out about this. "On Cybertron, he wouldn't be much older than one of your Earth children, and it keeps him occupied."
Fowler eyed the bot, and crossed his arms. "Then he drinks from a child's cup too?" The man said sarcastically.
Emily attempted to peek out from behind their green protector, but stumbled over her own feet and landed in plain view of the agent.
The African-American's eyes went wide when he saw the blond child pick herself up off the ground, and look up at him.
"What is she doing here?!" Fowler exclaimed, watching as the child ran back behind the bot's pede. "Where did she even come from?! Wait, you're running a daycare now!"
"Uhh, well we're..."
"Hey."
Both beings looked down, and watched as three teenagers came out from behind the green giant; the small girl hiding behind a tall dark-haired teen.
"Contact with civilians!" The man raged at the ex-wrecker. "Team Prime has really gone off the radar this time!" He exclaimed, as he hit the railing.
"Uhhh..." Bulkhead flubbed, trying to think about how he was going to get his aft out of this mess.
"We're interns!" Jack exclaimed, quickly coming up with a lie in his head and hoping the others would follow.
"Student interns!" Raf added with a nervous smile.
"Earning extra credit!" Miko interjected, smiling sweetly at the agent, hoping that he would believe them. "In... robotics""Autoshop" She and Jack said at the same time.
Emily looked up at her brother, confusion all across her young face. "Nu uhh!" She exclaimed, quickly dashing all hopes that the teens had of getting out of this.
"I play 'ide and seek with Ra'chet!" The child said happily, not seeing the looks on the others faces.
"That's it." Fowler seethed, as he marched down the stairway, and over to the children. "I'm taking you all into federal custody; for your own protection."
Suddenly, a large pede came crashing down in front of the government man; blocking the kids from him. "We're protecting them." Bulkhead rumbled, hoping that the human would be deterred.
"Is that so Bigfoot." The man challenged, backing away and walking towards a landline that sat at the base of the stairs. "Well, maybe you can explain that to my superiors at the Pentagon!" He growled, picking up the receiver.
"Don't use that phone!" Bulkhead exclaimed, as he leaned down and crushed the phone with a finger. "It's broken."
"This isn't over green bean, not by a long shot!" Fowler growled, marching over to the kids again, and grabbing ahold of Emily. "The older ones can stay for now, but this one's coming with me!"
"You can't take her!" Jack exclaimed, watching as his sister squirmed in the man's grasp. "She's my sister!"
"Son, there are some things that you just don't understand." Fowler said in a hard tone, as he shifted the girl in his arms. "Having a small child around things like them; she's going to get hurt."
The teen watched as the government man walked back up the steps, and left in the elevator.
Fowler buckled the child into the passenger seat of his helicopter, and fitted the headset on her. "Don't worry kid, you'll be safer with me." He said, noticing the sad look on the child's face.
Emily crossed her arms, and frowned at the agent as he closed the door and walked over to the pilot's seat, not bothering with his headset.
Once he was in the air, the black federal agent pressed a button on the console of the chopper; to call the Attorney General.
"Yes."
"Sir, we have a situation." Fowler replied in a level tone, casting a glance at the child that sat beside him. "I'm in-route from the Autobot base, I'll brief you in person."
"Alright Fowler, see you in 40." The general confirmed, ending the call.
The agent looked over to the child that sat in the passenger seat. She was still pouting, and was looking straight ahead.
"I see that you like Frozen." The man said with a smile, catching the girl's attention. "I have two little girls of my own, and they can't stop watching it." Fowler laughed, thinking of his kids. "Their mom bought them the soundtrack, and they refuse to listen to anything else; I'm sure that even I could sing the whole movie by now."
"Really?" Emily asked, taking the bait.
"Oh yeah." Fowler smiled, remembering a particular song as he glanced back over to the girl. "The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen."
The agent saw the grin on the child's face, and continued. "A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the Queen. The wind is howling, like this swirling storm inside. Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried.
Don't let them in, don't let them see; be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them knooow.
Well now they knooooooooow!"
Emily giggled and joined in. "Let it go! Let it go! Can't hol' me back any moooor'!" She exclaimed happily, but both humans stopped their fun, when an alarm blared and a light flashed on the chopper's console.
"What?" Fowler muttered as he read the information. "I'm flying here big bird."
"No bird!" The child shouted, pointing ahead of them. The government agent looked up, and gasped at the sight; a large purple and black U.A.V was heading straight for them.
Fowler managed to pull the chopper out of its' path, but the thing wasn't finished yet. He watched as it looped back around and headed for them again.
"Bad bird!" Emily shouted, terror in her eyes as she looked up at the man who was supposed to be her protector.
"Don't worry kid. I was the top of my class in flight school; I can shake the best of 'em" He assured the child, as he looked in his rearview mirrors; keeping an eye on the creature.
The agent floated along the top of a mesa, allowing the thing to get closer as he neared the edge. It was only about 15 feet from the tail of the chopper, when Fowler dropped off the edge of the mesa, an dwatched as the U.A.V sailed over, and in front of him.
"Now, lets even the score." Fowler growled, as he turned on the weapons for the chopper, and began shooting at the thing. He smirked as his fire peppered the back of the U.A.V; thought his smirk vanished when the gun ran out of ammo. The purple and black thing rose high into the air, and sailed towards the tail of the chopper, separating the tail from the body of the areal vehicle.
"OP'MUS!" Emily screamed holding onto her seat harness, as the helicopter spun out of control.
"Never an Autobot around when you actually need them." Fowler muttered as the ground rushed up on them.
