Hi, Guys. It's a new year soon! This is the 11th chapter which I updated on three days before 2014 comes.

Blu100-Jewel100 : OFF COURSE SHE CAN'T DIE! TT_TT You were guessing that he was Rafael and you hoped that it's wrong? Don't say like that. XD

Jeff117 : I'm pretty sad that she will gone. But, that's just what he said, right? It's not happening yet. :)

Cobalt the Spix Macaw : I could only smile, my friend. ^_^

Spyrofan34 : Yes, there are a lot of blue macaws in Rio 2, even Jewel's father. You can see it in the trailers. :D

The injured Toco Toucan slowly started to get his consciousness back as he was starting to open his eyes. Faintly, he found himself lying in a comfy small box in a bright room where he saw a red bird figure standing in front of him. Sitting up, he held his black head which was painfully dazing him off with his right wing. Although his vision was almost in a total blurry, he was still able to hear someone calling him.

"Yo, do you- still remember your nickname, dawg?" The Red Figure flatly asked the Toucan in a high voice, his question echoed through his eardrum. The injured Toucan semi-unconsciously answered the question, although he was still talking without a complete possession of his thought.

"Ahh- yes of course, Amigo. Y-you know Rafael, right? That's my name," (Unfortunately, your answer was right, Blu100-Jewel100 :) ) Rafael said in a husky tone, looking away in distance. He then heard the Red Figure taking a deep breath.

"Do you- still remember your family?" The Red Figure questioned the semi-unconscious Rafael about his memories, making sure that the Toucan still got his brain in his head. Rafael groaned heavily.

"Ayi, yi, yi, yi. What is wrong with you, Amigo?! Of course I remember ma family! My life's so perfect, 'cause I got eighteen kids that give me grey feathers everywhere and the most beautiful juicy mango in this whole world, names Eva!" Rafael yelled at the Red Figure in front of him, still not realizing that he was actually being hospitalized. He heard the Red Figure speaking to him again.

"O-kay, that's good to hear that you still remember your name and your sweet tropical fruit, Bro; But uhhh- I think I might wanna ask you something; What kind of 'accident' that had brought you to this bad condition?" The Red Figure slowly asked Rafael. And just then, the King of the Carnival's eyes threw open in realization at the slightly important question as soon as he had read the situation. He remembered everything that had happened a couple of hours ago. The one he'd gone through wasn't just a simple accident, he had faced a demonic blood-sucking creature that he'd never known in the jungle!

The question is: How had he survived?

"AAAAAAAAAAAH! AYE CARUMBA! OH Meu Deus! W-what just happened?! Why is ma wing in so much pain?! Why is there a c-cast on my body? Why am I in this humans place?! Please, tell me everything, Amigo! Please, tell me! PLEASE!" Rafael, who was now able to get his one hundred percent consciousness back, got out from the box and unmercifully started to shake the Scarlet macaw body with his dark wings while yelling in panic.

"Okay! Okay! I get it, Bro. You just got a small heart-attack, that's what I think! So yo, please can you stop shaking my body, Dawg? Hey, get your dirty wings off me, you Crazy Oldman!" The Scarlet macaw, who was unknowingly for Rafael, turned out to be Wayne, immediately shrugging off Rafael's wings from him. The Toucan stared at him with wide eyes.

"D-did you save me, Amigo?" Rafael asked pointing out one of his dark wingtips of his good wing, which was now greatly shaking at the direction of Wayne's wounded chest, making sure that he was the bird who had saved him from the death. The Scarlet macaw just looked away in distance.

"Well, actually my owner and I just found you almost badly 'injured' and laying on the ground alone, so that we immediately took you this place in order to give you some medical attention," Wayne explained in a sarcastic manner to Rafael, who then immediately gave him a bone-crushing hug.

"Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much, Amigo! You saved my life, I promise I will repay you somehow. What's your name, my boy?" Rafael curiously asked the Scarlet macaw's name.

"Just call me Wayne," Wayne calmy answered as he released the hug and stared deeply into Rafael's eyes. Now after mere a minute after Rafael had started to calm down, Wayne asked an important question, "What did you see?" As if being able to know what he had faced through his eyes, Rafael looked at Wayne in a traumatic look while wrapping his good wing around his chest, shuddering. He took a deep breath for a moment before answering the question.

"W-what I saw is a monstrous blood-sucking creature, but it's surely not such kind of vampire bat. It suddenly sneaked under the grass while letting out a terrifying growl, but it is clearly not a j-jaguar. It has a bird body's form which I have ever seen before, but how could that darn bird become like that? Fortunately, that guy didn't kill me, but at least he hurt my wing and magically 'shot' a bright white beam right on my chest, 'till it was nearly burned! And the last thing I remembered is, that guy left me after he had told me that he was going to go after my dear Amigos, the blue macaw lovebirds. T-they are surely in danger right now!" Rafael shouted in panic, feeling worried about his blue macaw friends' safety which was now definetely too late to be saved.

"Wait, what did you say earlier? You mean, that guy let you go alive just like that?" Wayne asked in confused. Rafael stared at him for a second.

"Well, if that ain't true, then I wouldn't be standing right here at this moment, Amigo!" The Toucan answered in an irritated look, Wayne then looked away from Rafael while rubbing his chin with his wing.

"Yeah, yeah, of course," Wayne looked down to the table, squinting his eyes. Just what I thought,he took the Going-to-Rio Mission, The Scarlet macaw looked back at Rafael. "Well, actually it just sounds too weird for such a crazy thing like this, and it is pretty awesome!" The Scarlet macaw exclaimed in his high voice while giving a michiveous grin, which made Rafael become curious.

"What's awesome?" Rafael asked.

"That you're alive!" Wayne chuckled, slowly walking closer to Rafael. "You might don't want to believe this, but ... I think you got the honour of being the very first one who survive to tell the story, dawg."

Rafael got stunned, not getting the topic Wayne was talking about. He stammerly asked him, "Wh-wh-what? Why is it happening?" Wayne stepped back a little to give a space, turning around to his back.

"Because ... all of the people that had faced this demon, accepted the same experience. They all died..."

"D-die?" Both Tulio and Linda's eyes threw open as they heard the shocking statement, their mouths were slightly half-opened, and their bodies became like statues. Jackie didn't pay any attention to the four-eyed human pair's reaction, but he was just looking down with a sad expression. "What are you talking about, Jackie? What did you just mean by 'DIE'?!"

"What I mean 'DIE' in here, is that the word also has the same meaning with KILLED, MURDERED, PERISHED, and DEAD! D – E – A –D = DEAD! Nothing is left, Mr. Monteiro!" Jackie angrily spelled the 'D' word in front of the ornithologist and the American lady on his side, who both then raised curious eyebrows in unision, wondering how could the last female of the blue macaws in Earth will be gone without any reasons.

"H-how the heck could Jewel even die without any reasons. I-I mean she's with her mate in the Sanctuary area right now, they have been totally secured. Any smugglers can't get inside the jungle to harm them-"

"It's not 'smugglers' that I'm talking about," Jackie looked at Tulio in an irritated look, cold-sweat dripping down on his head.

"What is it then?" Linda asked in a worried face. Jackie looked down for a second, but then took a deep breath and handed Tulio a small-sized black colored memory-card. This odd thing, instead, made both Tulio and Linda get even more confused.

"Go check the video inside it, and prove it with your own eyes," Jackie said to the human pair, requesting them to use a computer device in order to be able to watch the video.

The three humans were now inside a security room where there was a monitor device on the desk in the middle of the room. They sat on their own chairs while watching some CCTV videos which had been recorded in several small open areas in the jungle in midnight. Showing a Rio de Janeiro map paper, Jackie started to explain the situation.

"Both Wayne and I have been working together to record some night activities in the jungles by putting four Hidden Cameras in these different locations of the Southern jungle," Jackie signed four 'X' marks on the map, which were also signing the locations of the Hidden Cameras. "-And then luckily, we got this yesterday," Jackie played a video on the computer, while Tulio and Linda turned and looked directly towards the monitor with serious looks on their faces. All the lamps in the room had been shutted down, so the only thing that lightened the room was the light from the computer itself.

And then they watched it in horror, the video had recorded a terror of the night in the jungle: A yellow-feathered hideous bird with red glowing eyes was murdering an innocent green macaw as it bite the macaw's neck without mercy. Blood marks were everywhere, the squawks of desperate cry from the helpless green macaw were also recorded by the camera. Linda put both her hands on her mouth as she couldn't stand to watch it closely. And just then, Jackie paused the video right on a scene where the hideous bird was screaming out his roar in the air.

"Oh my gosh!" Tulio muttered with a traumated look on his face.

"What the hell was that?!" Linda loudly asked Jackie about the demonic creature on the computer screen. The red-haired man slowly stared at Linda, and he asked a question. "Will you guys trust me?"

"Yes, and what is that thing?! I can't let that animal loose in the jungle where he would kill Blu and his mate whenever it wants! They're in danger, Jackie!" Linda, being worried sick about her Big Brave Boy going to be killed by a monster, angrily put her face inches away from Jackie's.

"O-okay, that's the problem. Now, that's the strongest reason why we came here! You wanna see those pictures of the death birds' bodies Wayne had photographed?" On hearing this, Linda quickly backed away from him, while fixing her glasses.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, thanks. I'm kinda afraid to see that."

"By the look of it," Tulio got up from his chair after having observed the hideous bird's paused scene. "I think this bird has the same feathers colours with the South-East Asian bird kind: Bird of Paradise."

Jackie looked at Tulio for a moment, and then sighed in response, "Really? Heh, just like what we've known." Jackie sat back on his seat, and starting to explain what happened. "It's such kind of wild predator that always hunts in midnight. Just like what you've seen in the video, this cold-blooded killer kills his preys by drinking up their blood in a vampire's way. Surprisingly, he has been here on the last Tuesday and since then, there would be some animals who were killed by him every nights. Such as birds, eagles, big rats, monkeys, and even a capibara."

"Then why he came along way to Rio?" Tulio asked.

"The truth is, there are over one-hundred and fifty seven predictions, and one of them is hunting for the last blue macaws on Earth. That's what Wayne had said to me. But still I don't know the reason how he did that. Clearly, those blue macaws are in quiet danger right now," Jackie explained with a serious look on his face. Linda got up from her chair.

"Then we should call Animal Controls to capture him!" She proposed. Jackie immediately stared angrily at her while pointing out his finger.

"Oh, no, no, you don't, Ms. Gunderson. There will just be another victims who will be killed just like the others." Knowing what Jackie meant, Linda gasped in realization that the deadly bird can also kill people.

"Then- what are we gonna do about this problem?" Tulio asked in a concerned look. Jackie stared back at him as he whispered something.

"If we get there tommorrow morning and one of them are already missing, then Wayne are going to need the other one to defeat this bird once and for all!"

"Carl Jester Winston?" Rafael raised a curious eyebrow after knowing the bird's name. Wayne nodded, sitting on the table side along with Rafael. They had been discussing about Carlos' abilities to kill his preys, and also the incident that had happened in the Club that morning, which shocked Rafael along the conversation of course.

"Well, as you know, Rio is not safe anymore as long as he is still here. The good thing is, we finally discovered some secret powers of him. I'm so grateful with you, dawg. You're a great guy," Wayne softly punched Rafael's right shoulder as he smiled in response.

"Oh, no, but thanks Amigo." Rafael looked down on the floor, his smile dropped as he remembered about Blu and Jewel's safety, "Well, say, how about my blue macaws fellas. Are they safe?"

Wayne looked away from his friend and answered the question, "Well, I've made sure that it's too late to warn them about Carl Jester. But, if I get to their hollow tommorrow morning and one of them is already gone ..."

The scarlet macaw glanced at Rafael while squinting his eyes, and whispered something, "- then I will make the other one defeat this yellow weirdo!"

Rafael threw his eyes opened at the slightly important statement, and the scarlet macaw in front of him just showed a big grin on his beak, "I don't care which one!"
