She has been practicing ever since they came back ,using the time to push away her problem with her brother. Using the environment to her benefit. Coming across, Holocaust made her falter a little internally, despite what she had displayed externally. She has been moving back and forth through the air, for the past hour. Picking speed gradually. Unaware that she has had an audience for half that time.

She finally comes down to Earth (in manner of speaking). She has landed in front of him. "Bobby, what are you doing here?" She questions. "You should still be resting; you haven't totally recovered." She adds. He hugs her. She stands still, afraid returning it will hurt him. They walk back side by side.

Once they had returned to Wundagore Mountain; they had rushed Rachel to a more adequate medical facility, for she had crashed once more on the jet. He had shown Sabretooth to his quarter. The next morning, he debriefed him in front of the others. Except for Pietro, who stayed by Rachel's side, holding her hand.

He has been riding his team hard, so that if another incident; like this ever happens again, they will be more prepared. He decides to handle his only loose end from what had happened last year. He enters the infirmary to see his son sitting by Rachel's side yet again. Holding her hand and stroking her hair. Wanda by his side. He notices Sabretooth walking up to his daughter. "How is she doing?" He hears Victor ask.

"The same for the last year, stable." "Only it is still undetermined; when or if she will ever come out of her coma." This snaps Pietro out of his routine. He takes that as his opportunity. He stands behind his son. "Pietro, I have entertained you enough." "You need to start practicing." "If Rachel saw you in this state over her, she would not approve."

"Our next training session is in an hour." "I want you there, refreshed and ready to go." "Get up, don't want to have force you, to do so." He lectures. "Father is right, Pietro; you barely eat." "You barely sleep." Wanda reprimands.

He refuses when he (Magneto) and Wanda try to help him up. He struggles, which results in a fight to start breaking out. Before Sabretooth, can assist them, they knock over a couple of things. The bangs as they hit the floor, louder than they expect. The noise doesn't drown out the voice that makes it's appearance. The person doesn't yell but speaks loud enough to be heard.

"It would be nice, if it were quiet." She speaks. Quicksilver is by her side in less than a second. The others follow. Wanda goes to her other side. "How are you feeling?" She asks. "Fine." Rachel responds, her voice still a little rusty.

Quicksilver stands there anxiously. She stares at him. "If you could excuse us." The trio take their leave and wait outside. She shows him a genuine smile. He returns it. He takes her hand in the process of sitting down.

She carefully turns her head to face him. The smile gone from her face, but not the expression of serenity. "I heard you every day, you know." "I felt you every day." The back of his hand caresses her cheek. She leans into his touch, before taking a hold of his other hand with her other one.

"Your love enveloped me." "I know you have never been so scared in your life." "I'm sorry." She says. He puts his head down to hide the tears. She takes his face in her hands. "Wanda was right; you tell my state cripple you." "You are strong; you don't need me." "We both are more used to hiding our feelings." "But everyone has a weakness, apparently I'm yours."

He leans forward resting his forehead against hers. They stay like that for undetermined amount of minutes, breathing each other in. The sound of his breathing eventually starts lulling her to sleep. "You will be back tomorrow?" She asks to reassure the slight insecurity she has. "I will." He answers, taking her hand kissing her knuckles. "Go to sleep." He tells her as he lets go of her hand.

The door opens. He is greeted by his father, sister, and his teammates. Sabretooth had gone to spread the word at Magneto's instruction. "How is she?" Magnus asks. They earnestly wait for Pietro's response. "She's doing fine. " "She's sleeping again." He informs them. "Training is cancelled for today." "We will continue tomorrow, and will be twice as long." Magneto tells them, before walking away. "And get some sleep, Pietro."

They start to separate, leaving Pietro, Wanda, Storm and Iceman. The four of them talking amongst themselves. They leave Pietro by his room, making sure he goes inside. "Oh, and don't even think about it, dear brother." "I will be keeping an eye on you." Wanda tells him. She goes to her room, once his door closes.

She is awake when he enters the room. She can tell he has gotten a better amount of sleep. He walks toward the bed. He sits in the chair next to it. He turns to look at her. "I didn't get to tell you yesterday." "Never do that to me again." He demands. She knows he is referring to the coma and her dying twice.\

Before they can say anymore, Wanda walks in. "Good morning." She greets them with a smile. She once again goes to the opposite side of Rachel's bed. "How are you feeling?" She asks. "Better than yesterday, at least." Rachel replies "Let me take out the IV's then." "And I had been putting your body through physical therapy, while you were in your coma." "I made sure you didn't lose feeling and movement in your arms and legs."

"Thank you." "I felt your love and kindness as well." She informs Wanda. Wanda is surprised by this. "Would you breakfast?" She asks. "No, but thank you for the offer." Rachel responds. Wanda has finished taking the IV's out, and has bound Rachel's hands due to the bruises. She lays the uniform she brought for Rachel, on the chair beside her.

"Pietro, you and I need to go get ready for training." She insists. He follows his sister without resistance. He knows, he doesn't need to tell Rachel he will be back. Now that Rachel is wake, he does not need to worry so much.

The door closes. Wanda looks at him knowingly. "Well?" She asks. "She's like you." "She has your kindness and compassion; she's a giving person yet she also has a toughness to her." He says. Wanda smiles. "

"I know; I just needed to hear you say, my brother." In the last year, you brought out a side of you I have never seen." "Displaying your emotions has never been a priority for you, not that your cold, angry, or bitter." "You just have always felt the need to do this to spare others from worrying; but its part of being human,"

"I will love you no matter what, you shouldn't let us to see this side of you once in a while." His twin says while hugging him, which he returns. She pushes him toward the ward's door. "Now go help her change, if I didn't trust you I would help her myself; we will meet you outside." She walks away after she s says this. " He stands outside the door for a minute. A smile on his face, thinking that he has the best sister in the world, before entering.

After he had made sure she was dressed, he gives her some kind of glasses that will protect her from the sun. "You ready?" He asks for confirmation. She nods her head. He picks her up, holding her close, enjoying her nearness. He opts not to run; the speed more than likely would cause her more damage in her current state. She leans her head against his chest, basking in his comfort as well.

They emerge from the facility minutes later. It takes another few minutes for them to reach the others. The rest of the team has already started practicing. He stops by a tree. He gently puts her down; leaning her against it. He stands by her. He is beyond content. 'This is the beginning of forever.' He thinks before he goes to join the others.
