Ziva was standing in the kitchen, looking through the fridge. Tali came walking in and she stopped next to Ziva. "What's for dinner?"
"What do you want?"
"I don't care," Tali said and then reached into the fridge and pulled out the hamburger patties. Ziva looked at them and nodded with agreement.
"Do you want to make them?" Ziva asked. "I'm sure the votech is teaching you something," Ziva nudged her and Tali smiled.
"Yeah maybe," Tali said. "Okay so I narrowed it down to which schools I want to go to next year,"
"Really?"
"Yes. I want to go to The Culinary Institute of America or Johnson and Wales,"
"Okay and where are these schools located?"
Tali gritted her teeth. "The CIA is in New York, Texas, and California. Johnson and Wales is in Rhode Island, Florida, and North Carolina,"
"So which one is most appealing to you?"
"CIA in New York," Tali said.
"Really? That far?"
"It's only 5 hours away,"
Ziva looked at her. "Then we have to visit it,"
"Really?"
"Yes," Ziva answered. "I want you to have a good experience,"
Tali hugged Ziva. "Thanks mom," Ziva hugged her back. "Can you make the burgers?"
"Yeah. I'll make them," Ziva said and took the patties out of Tali's hand. "Go find your brother and sister and ask them how many burgers they want,"
"Will do, mom," Tali said and left the kitchen to find Sammy and AJ. She came back a few minutes later with Sammy and AJ.
…
After dinner, Ziva checked her phone for any sign of Tony. He didn't call her to let her know that he wasn't going to make it home for dinner. It was totally unlike Tony to not call Ziva if he was going to be late.
Ziva dialed Tony's number and then lifted her phone up to her face. When he didn't answer, she got more worried. She bit her lip and dialed McGee's number. When he answered, Ziva let out somewhat of a sigh.
"Tim, where's Tony?" She asked.
"He went to the bathroom. He left his phone on his desk. He didn't call you about our case?"
"No, he didn't call me," She snapped. "He knows to call if he's not going to make it home for dinner,"
"Here, he just walked into the bullpen. I'll put him on," McGee said and then handed the phone to Tony.
"Zi? What's wrong?"
"You didn't call me about dinner,"
"I know. I was gonna call when I got out of the bathroom. I'm sorry,"
"I was just worried about you," Ziva said. "When will you be home?"
"Later than usual. I don't know if I am coming home. We might pull an all nighter for this case,"
"Okay. Just let me know,"
"I will,"
"I love you,"
"I love you too, Zi," Tony said and Ziva smiled. "I wish I could see that beautiful smile of yours,"
"How do you know that I'm smiling?"
"Because I know you, Zi," Tony said. "Oh shit. I'm still on McGee's phone," Ziva giggled.
"I'll let you go," Ziva said but she heard Tony's voice so she stayed on the line.
"I'll call you later, okay?"
"Sounds good," Ziva said and then hung up. She turned around and saw Buster looking at her. "Hey buddy," she bent down to pet him. She walked away and Buster followed her into the kitchen. She started to clean up from dinner.
Tali was laying on her bed, on her side, and on the phone with Jake. "Can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah sure,"
"What's going to happen to us when we go to college?"
"Well, I still wanna be with you,"
"I wanna be with you too but I wanna go to New York and you wanna stay here,"
"I just wanna enjoy our senior year and then we can cross that bridge when we get to it,"
"Okay," Tali rolled on her back and saw Buster come through her door. He jumped onto her bed and licked her face and she giggled.
"What's so funny?"
"Buster came onto my bed and licked my face,"
"Okay. I'll talk to you later,"
"I love you," Tali smiled.
"Love you too, Tals,"
They hung up and Tali put her phone in her pocket to take Buster out on a walk. She went down to the kitchen to get the leash. She saw Ziva standing at the sink and Tali walked up to her and rested her chin on Ziva's shoulder. "You okay mom?"
"Yes. Are you taking buster on a walk?"
"Yeah,"
"Remember what I taught you if anything bad happens,"
"Okay," Tali said and took the leash into her hand. "I'll be back," Tali said and walked out the door with Buster.
...
Tali walked through the door a half hour later with Buster. He went right to his bed and fell asleep. Tali went upstairs to her room but on the way she found Ziva asleep on the couch. Tali made her way over, quietly, and then shook Ziva. "Mom," Ziva mumbled something. "Mom. Wake up," Ziva jolted up from the couch and held her gun pointed out. "Jesus Christ, mom," Tali said.
"He is your savior, not mine,"
"Thanks," Tali rolled her eyes and turned around. "Go to bed,"
"Is your father home yet?"
"No. Just go to bed," Tali said and held a hand out to her. Ziva took her hand and Tali pulled her up.
…
Tony walked through the door at around 1:30 in the morning. He kicked off his shoes as he walked into the kitchen to grab something to eat. Leftover pizza from the night before. He creeped up the stairs after devouring his pizza and then climbed into bed. He cuddled with Ziva until he felt her move.
"Tony?" She mumbled in her sleep ridden voice.
"Yeah baby?" He answered and then kissed her neck.
"I'm glad you're home," she rolled over and threw her arm around his waist. "Why haven't you changed yet?"
"I wanted to let you know that I was home first," He said and then got out of bed but Ziva grabbed his hand. "Zi,"
"I want you," Ziva said as she slowly got on her knees. "Make love to me, Tony,"
"You're tired, Ziva. It wouldn't be right,"
"But I want it. Go get me a red bull from the fridge and I'll be fine,"
"You'll also be up all night," Tony sighed. "Just go to sleep Zi," He rubbed her arm and then kissed her head.
"Fine," Ziva flopped onto her side with her back facing Tony. He took off his dress shirt and pants along with his socks. He climbed into bed and immediately started to spoon Ziva. She took his hand in hers and intertwined their fingers so their hands were connected.
"I love you, Ziva,"
"I love you too, Tony," Ziva said and they fell into a peaceful sleep.
A/N: Hey guys, so that's it. It's finished. I have no more ideas left for this story. Also, Tali, Tony and Ziva's child was based off of me. I will be attending The Culinary Institute of America in August so I'll be finishing up all of my stories and maybe deleting She's A Rebel because no one read it. Anyway, I hope you all liked this FanFiction because I enjoyed writing this and The Unexpected Gift for you all. I hope to be back after Ziva comes back to the show.
