These will be a series of drabbles/one-shots about Simon and Isabelle's relationships so the chapters don't necessarily follow each other. These are also posted on our tumblr: Isabelle- -Lewis (there's two hyphens)
Autumn
The crisp October air blew a flurry of leaves out of a nearby tree. The ground was littered with hues of red, gold, and orange. Isabelle slid her hands further into her tan peacoat. Simon slid an arm around her waist and pulled her close to him as they continued their walk through the park.
They walked mostly in silence enjoying the view around them. Every now and then another couple would walk by, laughing and smiling to each other. Sailboats of various colors took to the water and floated around with the breeze.
Isabelle stopped abruptly causing Simon to bump against her shoulder.
"Is something wrong?" he asked her.
"No. Just looking. It's nice here."
"It is." he wrapped his arms around her shoulders from behind as they faced the lake. He buried his nose in her hair taking in the scent of her floral shampoo.
"Remember the first time we were here?"
He laughed. "Of course I do. I can't really forget."
"Why's that?"
"Because I thought you were going to eat me alive. But I couldn't keep away. Like a moth to a flame."
"I thought you were just another lame mundie."
Simon could feel Isabelle chuckling in his arms. She turned around to face him.
"But you weren't," she continue. "Well, you kind of were. I don't know why I came here with you."
"Because I'm so damn attractive."
She punched him in the arm. Simon just pulled her closer to him and laced his fingers behind her back.
"Who are you? Jace?"
"You're not denying it. Plus, you kissed me for the first time here remember?"
Isabelle flushed and bit her lip. "I was curious. You were so cute trying to impress me. Reminded me of the other guys that used to try to get my attention. Except they were much more suave."
"Not exactly an ego boost but okay," Simon looked at Isabelle confused.
Isabelle responded by wrapping her arms around Simon and snuggling her cheek against his jacket. "You know what I mean. You were so awkward but, I was interested and I didn't know why. So. I took a shot and kissed you," she let out a bigger laugh. The wind started picking up blowing strands of hair into her eyes. Simon reached over and moved them out of place.
"You should have seen the look on your face," she finished.
He remembered being some sort of dazed and confused when Isabelle had leaned in and kissed him out of the blue that day. He didn't even have time to close his eyes. They remained open during the entire three seconds when her warm lips met his unexpecting ones. When she pulled away she just smirked and continued on with their stroll while Simon just continued staring with his glasses sitting crooked on his face.
"Could you blame me? A pretty girl like you kissing some lame mundie like me?"
"I'm glad I did," she said.
"So am I."
He leaned over and kissed her as she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. As they came apart he smiled and took her hands. They stood there, bodies together, for a few seconds before continuing their walk through the park.
