Darreth and P.I.X.A.L. were surprised that the Borg Tower was empty. "The Oni attacked only days ago," she stated grimly. She checked things over and found only remains of the Oni's stay. "Strange," she muttered. "What's strange?" Darreth asked, obviously not paying attention. P.I.X.A.L. made an android attempt at rolling her eyes. "Borg Tower seems to be empty," she replied. "How," Darreth asked. "Lloyd and Jay claimed that an Oni said this was their base!" P.I.X.A.L. sighed. "They are Oni," she claimed. "They are the villains and likely lied." "Dang," Darreth muttered. "I would have loved to fight them." "We aren't here to fight," P.I.X.A.L. retorted. Darreth sighed again and took a small brown brush out to comb his toupee.
The two ninja allies took the still working elevator to the top floor. It was a miracle the thing still worked! Darreth did another of his silly animal poses as they went up. The elevator creakily opened up. P.I.X.A.L. investigated Borg's office. The floor was covered in a dried up purple slime with the texture of dried up mud. A dried purple mud throne lay in the place of Borg's chair. It was cracked very badly and the top looked like it was sliced off.. On the opposite side of the room next to the elevator the top of the throne was stuck in the wall. P.I.X.A.L. scanned the throne and determined it to be abandoned. "They moved on," she announced.
A dull rattling took place in a vent on the ceiling. "Come out here Oni!" Darreth challenged. He was in a fighting pose. Before P.I.X.A.L. could scan, the vent opening fell with a dark figure covered in dust. "Garmadon," Darreth growled. "Sorry," the figure rasped. He got up and cleared away the dust. Darreth gasped and P.I.X.A.L. gaped. Garmadon did indeed stand there, though nobody knows how or why he escaped Kryptarium. It wasn't really Garmadon who made the two allies gawk, though. It was his new look. Garmadon looked a bit more normal. Garmadon was surrounded by the aura of his former form. The evil form draped him like a ghost. His lower added arms were empty husks of the originals. They were more faded than the rest of the evil aura. "May be the fading effects of the Oni masks," he added. "Um, yeah," Darreth replied. "How did you escape Kryptarium?!" Garmadon gave off one of his unique smiles.
"I didn't," he replied. "Um," Darreth stuttered. "What!?" Garmadon smiled. "I was let free when they noticed the effects fading." P.I.X.A.L. confirmed this. "It's true," she reported. "He's a citizen again." "Sweet," Darreth mused.
"Sweet to your self," Jay commed over. "Lloyd just got caught and Morro's unconscious! We need help!" "Oh crap!" Darreth cried. Garmadon frowned. "What's with the foul language," he asked. P.I.X.A.L. was grim. "Lloyd's in trouble," she told him. "Jay just commed the news over." "We're coming," Darreth commed.
The two allies and Garmadon took the elevator down and ran outside. P.I.X.A.L. tripped over a nindroid file on the way and pocketed it. She jumped into her mech and grabbed the other two guys and flew towards the temple.
It still took them ten minutes to reach it. They landed in the clearing where Kai, Cole, Zane, Skylor, and Morro were hiding in. P.I.X.A.L. picked up Morro bridal style and carried him to a more comfortable area while Darreth told Jay and Nya over comm to get in contact with Wu.
"Since when was Garmadon a citizen?!" Jay commed. "P.I.X.A.L. might know," Darreth replied. No one knew it, but Darreth was overwhelmed and freaked out. "T-the Brown Ninja could text the master," Darreth stammered. Kai was deeply upsert and pacing around alongside Garmadon, who initially shocked everyone into silence.
Morro was just waking up. He was sure he was caught. When his dull green eyes touched the light, however, he knew he was wrong. He oddly found himself laying in an android's lap like a baby. He sprang up, adrenaline in his veins, and ran for the clearing to find it very panicky and busy. He stood there shaking. "W-where's Lloyd?" he asked. "And why was I being babied by a robot?"
"Lloyd was captured," Cole sighed, tearing at a blade of grass. "We're hooped!" Jay commed. "Where's Wu?" Cole asked Jay. "Nya's waking him up," Jay commed back. "We need him," Cole cried.
"No need," Wu replied. The ninja turned around to see Wu and Nya arrive on their elemental dragons. "Now where did you see my nephew last?"
