11: The School

The next day the three went to their new school in silence, arriving at different times as to not raise suspicion to take their entrance exams.

Yuki sat in the back while Usui sat somewhere in the middle row. Usui looked back at Yuki since he was quiet the whole time during their short little meet up before heading here. He wondered if something was wrong but didn't want to bother him by asking.

Akira finally arrived; though she did plan to be the last one to arrive she took a lot longer than she thought to straighten her hair. The examiner passed out the tests and let them begin. Akira had hers done within 20 minutes, a record time apparently.

Yuki finished his about a minute after her since he wasn't in the greatest test taking mood. When he finished he asked if he could leave then did just that. Usui however was the last one of the three to finish his test about an hour into it. He wasn't the best test taker but he always got the right answers despite how long he takes to get them.

They were all free to leave for the day. Akira waited outside, "So do you guys wanna explore the capitol today? Y'know since we have the free time..." she blushed as she was basically asking them on a three-way date.

Yuki didn't bother waiting out her suggestion and instead left to explore alone for a while. Usui on the other hand accepted while watching Yuki walk away.

Akira reached her hand out to the iceboy but then drew back, "M-maybe it'd be best to leave him alone..." She started walking leading Usui into the city to find something to eat.

Yuki needed sometime to cool off and clear his mind before going back to his team. The anger of having that genjutsu used wasn't because of the genjutsu itself; it was because of what Usui said to him in it. Maybe he really wasn't capable of giving Akira what she wanted now that she was a fully fledged succubus...well half of one. He sighed then took a seat on a vacant bench and closed his eyes.

Usui however was mostly being lead by the elder redhead since he wasn't very hungry or felt like doing much right now since he was worried about Yuki. No matter how upset Yuki got he never left on his own before which is why he was worried about him.

Akira stopped in front of Usui and leaned over, "Are you okay? You seem... distracted."

Usui looked away and sighed. "Sorry. I'm just worried about Yuki. He's never like this. This is a first that he's chosen to part with us for this long." he says, the concern showing in his tone.

"H-he's… angry at me for tricking him I'm sure, plus what you said didn't help it either ehehe…" she cleared her throat, "anyway want to go look for something to make it up to him? Like dinner or something blue or involving ice…"

"Do you really think it'd make him happy again?" he asked with a worried look that it won't work and just make him feel even worse.

"Okay well… mayyyybe if we just made him dinner or something like that…" she thought.

Usui was completely unsure about her suggestions since her ideas haven't really brought a legit smile to Yuki's face so far since day one.

"Look do you honestly have any better ideas death boy?"

"Uh huh. Well then since you're so sensitive then maybe we can get somewhere on how to make Yuki feel better, if that's even possible at this point" Usui says with a reluctant sigh.

She scratches her cheek, "I'm not sure what being sensitive has to do with that but ok..."

"It has nothing to do with it but I...didn't know what else to say" Usui admitted then continued to walk onward.

Akira chuckled, "I see..." She walked with him, "Maybe we can just apologize and try to act like normal human beings."

Usui simply looked at her with a 'Really...' kind of look since there was no reason to pretend to be something they're not.

"Y'know we kinda have to for the mission anyway..." The redhead pointed out.

"It's not to help our friend though," he countered with

"Yea but he might be able to stand us better if we at least behaved." She replied.

"Fine. We'll try it your way then." Usui says with a sigh then smiles a bit.

She smiled back, "Good, now I think we should go with my earlier idea as well and make him dinner or something."

"Fine fine. Just nothing too fancy alright." Usui says then heads towards their hotel.

"Well it's not like I'm a chef either..." She said, trying to think of something they could all have.

Isn't Yuki the only one out of us three that can cook anyway?" He asked since it did seem true to a degree even though it is.

"What?! No I can cook too... And yes I mean normal food..." She pouted.

"Aki, I've never seen you make anything more than instant ramen. How can I be sure you're not just saying that to defend yourself?" Usui pointed out since it was technically true as well.

"Cause... I cook and bake part time a-at café..."

"Since when?" Usui asked, not knowing about this at all.

"Since a while ago..." She admitted.

Usui was beyond speechless at this point so he simply said nothing and continued to the hotel.

"I Uhm... I'll just go and get the ingredients..." Akira laughed nervously and went off.

Usui nodded then let her go off. Yuki however was sitting on a bench outside the local market while waiting for it to get dark.

Akira came up to the market, freezing when she saw the demigod.

Yuki had an empty expression on his face and when he saw the demon he sighed and wanted to leave but didn't, wanting to see what she'd do.

Very stiffly she raised a hand, waving to him while wearing a nervous smile.

Yuki scowled at her then looked away from her.

She drew back, walking into the market with a sad face.

Yuki continued to look away until she was gone then simply sat there until he got up to head back to the hotel. When Aki finishes her shopping she'd notice the lack of demigod on that very bench.

She was finally finished almost an hour later, going back to her hotel room to make dinner for the three of them.

Yuki was in his room with the door locked and Usui was outside of it apologizing for Aki's actions but no dice.

When she was finished making it she brought a plate over and knocked, "I've got something for you~."

Usui left the door and let her try. Yuki heard the knocks and said "I'm not hungry!"

"Look I'm trying to apologize! Just take it!" She yelled back.

He simply kept his door locked while sitting on his bed, refusing to open the door for either of them.

"Don't make me come in there forcefully..." She threatened.

Yuki was calling her bluff, deciding not to do anything in response to her threat.

She handed the plate to Usui, kicking the door right off the hinges, "I wasn't joking..."

Yuki blocked off the hallway to his room with ice knowing that her bluff might not be a bluff at all.

Akira put her hand on the ice, it began to melt and she guided it into the sink in the bathroom as it did.

Soon enough the ice that was melted was replaced with more along with a wall that had spikes jetting from it.

[5/23/2014 10:59:46 PM] Akira: Akira huffed and backed off.

Yuki could hear the footsteps dispersing and wondering if she was giving up.

From the furthest spot from the wall running and smashing through it with more than one ice spike in her body, she walked right up to him picking him up, "Will you accept my apology now?"

"Why should I do that!?" he yelled in reply to her, not feeling as though he should.

"Because I'm your friend and making me have sex regardless of what I am is just wrong anyway!" She yelled back, starting to shake.

Yuki simply glared at her, angry because she thought that his reason for telling her to do that would be as shallow as that. He gripped her wrist in an attempt to make her let go by sending a chill down her veins.

She simply gripped tighter, smirking, "You may be half god, but I'm full demon... You can't just get rid of me like that, besides I like the cold."

Yuki scowled back at her then extended his nails using his ice then dug it into her arm.

She lengthened her nails; they were millimeters from his eyes.

Yuki continued to dig his into her arm, ready to tear it off if need be.

Akira drew her nails back, then she pulled him closer as she parts her lips, fangs slightly showing, then she kissed him.

When he felt her lips on his, his ice nails shattered and he let go of her.

She smiles continuing the kiss as her wounds start healing, her grip loosening on his shirt.

Yuki stared at her with a confused look then stayed completely silent while looking away from her.

She smacked him lightly on the forehead, not hard but enough for him to just feel the contact of her hand. "You overreact a lot you know that?"

Yuki simply continued to look away even after feeling the light blow to the forehead. He didn't know what to say especially after how he was acting.

Akira beckoned Usui in with the plate, "Just eat this and I'll be happy ok?"

Yuki sighed and looked at her. "Fine..." was his only response as he took the plate from Usui and looked at it skeptically.

"What-are you not hungry or something?" She asked leaning towards him slightly.

Yuki wasn't sure how to answer that since it seemed like a question he shouldn't or rather didn't want to answer.

"Do you not trust me that much?" She looked at him with sad eyes as she turned around to walk out.

Yuki sighed and ate some of the food. To his surprise it was delicious and it wasn't instant ramen so it surprised him quite a bit as well.

She looked back at him when he took a bit, "Well...? How is it?"

"Its...alright." he says to hide the fact that he really liked it.

She smiled, "I'm glad you think so."

Yuki looked off to the side with an angry, light blush. "Whatever…"

She puffed her cheeks, "Just suck up your pride for once and thank me for giving ya free food."

Yuki had his pride as a male and he wouldn't admit that her cooking was good. At least not to her face with Usui around anyway since he was sure Usui knew how he felt anyway.

"Tch, whatever," she voiced then turned to walk away. "I'm going to find a meal..."

Yuki frowned, realizing how much he couldn't be honest with himself even though he had done it times before this. He simply felt that he wasn't good enough for her after seeing that genjutsu and hearing what Usui said to him in it. The three of them were far from human but that genjutsu simply proved that he wasn't even in their league despite being the same as them in a way.

After sucking the blood of three different people, Akira came back to the hotel around 2 in the morning.

Yuki stayed locked in his room after she left and Usui waited up for her though since he figured that one of them should.

She found the shinigami asleep in her room, in her bed, she poked him to wake him up enough to let him know she'd returned.

Usui woke up and saw Akira. He smiled then stretched out since he was asleep for quite a while.

"Thanks for waiting for me." She smiled.

"It's no problem at all. It's the least I can do." Usui says with a smile back at her.

She smiled a bit awkwardly, "Well I guess you should get going then right? Trust you'll need all your rest, sometimes teenagers can be more ruthless than an S class rounin."

Usui nodded then bid her farewell and to sleep tight before heading to his own room and practically crashing instantly upon hitting the bed.

Akira decided to meditate as she waited for it to be time to go.

The next day in their first homeroom together, their temporary sensei introduced them to the class

Yuki looked off to the side which gave some of the girls that "he's an I don't give a fuck" kind of guy while Usui smiled and waved at the class which gave off that "he's a peppy kid and is kinda cute once you know him better" aura which got "Awwws" for Usui and swoons for Yuki while the males in the class were bouncing off the walls over Akira.

The poor redhead, not used to all the attention, had a completely flushed face.

The fact that she looked that much cuter with a flushed face drew blood from their noses upon looking at her.

She got scared enough to hide behind the boys.

"Alright everyone that's enough, stop the tomfoolery and let's get to learning quadratics..." The middle aged monotone male said, ushering the three to take a seat where there was a space.

There were three empty desks in a horizontal line in the middle of the room because three people moved to make them available. Usui and Yuki took the seats at the ends leaving the middle one for Akira.

She took it, trying to simply ignore any stares in her direction. At the end of the class, unknown to the genin that he only did this with newcomers, he asked a very complicated algebraic question, saying that the whole class could go a week without homework if anyone could solve it.

Usui stared at the question like his head was hurting but he figured Aki could answer it so he nudged her to wake her up. Yuki glanced at the teacher then simply looked away afterwards since he was sure Usui was going to intervene in his own way.

"Huh?" She asked, groggily looking at the board, "Oh... The answer is 24.5838629..." She rubbed her eyes, yawning and stretching.

The teacher looked at the equation then at the class. "That's...correct"

She smirked, "Of course it is, they teach this in middle school in Suna."

"Oh yes. Of course." he says then leaves it at that.

The bell rings for the end of class. "Alright then as promised no homework for a week." He realigned the papers on the desk before leaving the classroom for the modern language teacher to arrive.

Soon after she did the other classes breezed by and it was time for lunch.

Akira ran down to her assigned locker at the building entrance, grabbing a triple decked bento and bringing it back up to the classroom, "I...made...lunch..." She panted.

Usui smiled and the guys in the class excluding the shinigami and demigod, surrounded her since they wanted to try her cooking.

"Uhm well I guess you can all try some of mine..." She said nervously, again not used to so much attention.

Yuki wasn't one for jealousy but he was feeling it pretty strongly right now. Usui was simply talking to any girls that surrounded him while Yuki felt nothing for the ones swooning around him.

The kunoichi handed Usui and Yuki their meals, trying to ignore their new fans.

Yuki and Usui eyed their meals then ate them without hesitation.

She giggled at them, and then ate what left of her meal, which wasn't much. She whined a bit as she ate.

Yuki passed off his food to Aki since he wasn't that hungry anyway.

She smiled, "Thanks Yuki."

Yuki simply nodded and left it at that.
