Chapter Eleven: First Exam and second date
I was calm by Friday the 28th of September, aka, the first exam! I honestly was looking forward to it! I'm making good progress this year in all my lessons. Well, apart from Mental magic but I'm not the only one who struggles with that! But at least I can say I can make my wand come to my hand whenever I want it. There wasn't a date with Hieronymous on and I wasn't angry, I couldn't be. I knew how busy Hieronymous would be sometimes, he is a professor after all. But of course, that meant I could totally go to the mall with the crafting club.
Talking about clubs!
I went to the feminine boys club or the "Pretty Boys" with Avery and wow. Have I said how much I want to be like Oliver? He's so carefree and confident and that confidence makes him sexy as hell. I'm glad to say though after that first club meeting I'm more confident, I think it's with the fact I know I'm not alone in this. That there are other boys like me. However, Oliver got a bit over the top when he smacked my arse and told me to wiggle it when I walk. Though, to be honest...I've been doing that and since then I've had eyes on me and you bet I wiggle my arse more when I feel Hieronymous's eyes on me!
Anyways!
The exam wasn't anything like last year, for one I was teleported in the dudgeon without my wand! The instructions I got was basically get my wand and find my way out, however, I knew it wasn't going to be that easy! I waited for couple of minutes listening. If my classes in Magical creatures has tort anything it is to listen first. Five minutes of total silence is when I heard it, to anyone else the sound would sound like a faint wind blowing small rocks on the ground but by the sound of it...
I would hazard a guess that it was a Shadow Creeper. Shadow Creepers had the shape of a huge African vulture but it was just made out of shadow. They attack any magical being by not claws or a beak but by its screeching. Their screeches can confuse or paralyze their prey for a couple of minutes.
Remembering the lessons I looked to the nearest corner and yup there was not one, not even two but four Shadow Creepers huddled together. They were blind because shadows don't have eyes but they can hear and detect magic. I stood there thinking, I didn't know that many Metal Magic spells just "Returning and taking my or another's wand, creating a light, moving an object across the floor or table, making an object I can see come to me and I'm working on creating illusions with my mind but I haven't properly done that in class yet so I couldn't do that without risking my health. Without any other idea I laid on the floor and just quietly shuffled on the floor. I couldn't risk casting a light orb so hopefully I only had the four Shadow Creepers to worry about.
I stopped every now again to place my hands palm down on the floor. In Green Magic we've been learning to feel the magic within the earth to hopefully draw more magical energy from the ground to ourselves. I can only feel magic whenever I'm like two feet from a magical object but still it was a handy skill to have. It wasn't really using magic either since I wasn't using any energy into this, I was just feeling, being one with the magic of this world as Professor Green always says. This method worked though as I finally found a chest and got my wand.
That wasn't it, I had to find the exit now...
Shuffling my way to the middle of the room, I stood up and quickly casted a strong Awareness and light spell. Soon I saw my way out but I soon heard the deafening screeches of the birds. Before I could pass out I casted a silence spell at the birds before running to the exit. As I ran I felt my energy being taken from me and quickly too! Casting "Boost Strength" did nothing nether did "Tap The Flow" which we learnt a strong form of. I even tried reflection just to realize the Shadow Creepers weren't using any spells. I was weakening fast with no ideas...Before I remembered that the spell "Stone-Shape" was a thing and built a wall. Haha! Shadow Creepers had to be the same room as their prey!
After that it was easy for me to run out of the exit which teleported me back into the room that we always went to be teleported to the dudgeons for exams. I was a little shocked to see Professor Dashwood stood there and not Hieronymous...
"Well, done! Ten Merits to you!"
"Err, thanks?" I said still slightly confused but when Dashwood winked at me flirtatiously I quickly walked out of the room, my question of where Hieronymous was dying from my tongue. Though that didn't stop me from making sure he was alright at eight o'clock that night. He was and he explained that he only supervised the Freshmen exams now. Kissing me a goodnight-which kinda shocked me- Hieronymous went back to his work and I went back to my dorm room.
It turns out that both Donald, (who has been studying with Ellen because of course he has) Avery and Charlie passed the exam too, Donald even had the better idea of building the stone wall first while Charlie did the same method as I did but he walked not crawled his way to the chest. Avery being an elf had a different exam, apparently Shadow Creepers where a bad omen in Eir's community. So E had an exam that tested E's illusion and potion skills. I personally thought it was cool that the school is slowly working towards accepting other magical beings and beliefs.
Also, on Friday I handed in my practice paper to Hieronymous. Saturday arrived and I spent my day happily crafting clothes after the mall trip. I brought some second hand jumpers and jeans, even some shoes! I decided to make the jeans into some lovely shorts and make the jumpers into off shoulder jumpers. With Black Magic I changed the jumpers to light blue and the shorts into white. When I tried the clothes on I got fox whistles and hoots and honestly...I felt damn sexy! What was better was that Oliver was a member of the crafting club! I kinda asked him how do I flirt, I mean...I kinda want to start flirting with Hieronymous. We went to Oliver's room to speak about it which I was so great full for!
"Now then honey, you got yourself a hell of a man. This is what you do, you act as cute as you can. Bite your bottom lip, flick your hair, smile, place your hands on ya hips" as he said the gestures Oliver did an impression of them all "when you bend down don't just bend and up! No, no! You "innocently"" he did speech marks with his fingers when he said innocently "run your hands on ya body, like this" he stopped there to bend down but when he did he ran his hands down his legs, stuck out his arse. When he stood back up he did it slowly with a flirtatious smile. "If ya want you could always sneak a butt squeeze or a hand tug! Wear the clothes and makeup he likes"
"You really think Hieronymous would like that?" I asked slightly embarrassed
"Honey, any man would like that. Use your beauty to your advantage, I do"
"But...I'm not as confidant as you are" I muttered running my fingers through my fringe "I have a ugly scar"
"And I don't?!" Oliver laughed and with that he took off his bright green elbow gloves just to show me his palms that were covered in burns "I've always been skilled in Red Magic and nine year old me was the same...I lost control of a fire spell resulting in burns" he stopped to put his gloves back on "Your confident enough to show your scars to be proud of them"
"I...I never seen it that way before"
"What does your husband say about it?" Oliver asked in clear curiosity
"Nothing yet, anyways, thank you Oliver, it's really good to talk to another boy about these things"
"Hey, you know where I live now so pop by if ya wanna chat about anything and I mean anything...Like...If you know...You want sex advice"
"I'll keep that in mind, thank you" I smiled not feeling at all embarrassed at the last bit of Oliver's sentence. When I walked outside Oliver's dorm-room (Room fourteen in Falcon Hall) I turned to him.
"Out of curiosity, when was your first time?" I whispered
"When I was thirteen"
"Oh..."
"And yes, it hurts for the first time but the pain will die down after the fourth sex" Oliver whispered back. I nodded before hurrying off as I walked though, I did wonder if I'm the only seventeen year old virgin in this school. Charlie doesn't count since he's not seventeen yet and hasn't got a lover!
That night I was alone in my dorm room so I practiced the moves Oliver said I should do. It was slightly embarrassing but with my wonderful clothes (even if I'm tooting my own horn) I had to say I was looking fine. Though, I did wonder if I should truly openly flirt with Hieronymous and if I did how the hell was I going to do it? He said during school hours he is just my professor so how can I flirt with my professor? I haven't spent any personal time with him since our first date which really sucks. I thought about going to see him tomorrow thinking that maybe he won't be as busy on a Sunday however I didn't know if it was okay for me to do that without him sending me a note. I don't want to push him...
I was stupidly happy when I got a note on Sunday morning from Hieronymous requesting my company for the day. Finally, I was able to spend time with my lover! I choice to wear my fitted jeans and a nice cream off shoulder top that I made that had a black vest under it.
I arrived at Hieronymous's rooms right on time, I knocked happily on the door, he soon answered and I walked into the room. I couldn't help but smile at the book that was laid open on the coffee table
"Were you reading anything interesting?" I asked
"Nothing of interest, a book about changing a historical building into a school under the Otherworld Law"
"Let me guess, it has a stupidly long title"
"Facts on how to change magical community buildings and historical building"
"I knew it!" I laughed, loving the fact that all the books Hieronymous reads either have long titles or really hard to say titles. However, it was then I noticed that the bookshelf next to Hieronymous's room was open like a door
"What's in there" I asked pointing at it, curious now
"My personal library" Hieronymous said simply like if I should already know that and I just stared at him in complete shock. Okay, I was not expecting that!
"You...Got a library?" I stuttered out
"Of course I have! You seriously think that seven bookshelf's in this godforsaken room is all I have?! I would be banging my head against my desk if that was true! Come!" and with that Hieronymous stormed out of the room. With a quick stretch, I followed Hieronymous into his library. I couldn't believe it was an actual secret door! My husband has got a secret door! That is so awesome!
"Oh wow!" I squealed way too loudly once in the room.
Hieronymous's library was way bigger than I was expecting, it could easily be the size of his main rooms. Bookshelves covered all the walls with isles of bookshelves and in front of me was a large three seated sofa in front of a huge fire. Behind the sofa were two large square tables covered with books. All I saw was book after book! Oh, yes, this is truly Hieronymous's sanitary. I turned to look at Hieronymous who was leaning on the door frame smirking smugly at me.
"You forget that this school is my home, do you really think I can live anywhere without a personal library?"
"Well, no...This room is actually what I thought your main rooms would be...Covered in books, messy, unorganised"
"Excuse me! This room is many things but unorganised it is not! Every book is in alphabetical order thank you!"
"Sooo, what Letter is on those desks?" I asked with a teasing smile, the only reaction I had was a deadly glare.
"Oh alright, there is no order but it is my order. That way no one can find the book they want. That amuses me" that made me smile
"This is awesome"
Hieronymous was still leaning on the doorframe looking smug so flicking my hair in the flirtatious way Oliver showed me and walked up to him to stand in front of him with my hands on my hips and a playful smile on my face.
"How dare you keep something this awesome from me. Do you have any more secrets I should know about?" I asked smiling while I did so
"Well, there is something I haven't told you about...But it is meant to be a surprise, close your eyes and trust me" he said so I closed my eyes straight away. Chuckling Hieronymous gently held my shoulders
"Relax, you will feel magic run through your body in a second" and I did, I didn't freak out though, this isn't the first time I felt magic running through me. Hieronymous's magic felt warm and somehow gentle. Soon, I felt that the teleportation spell he just casted weaken, I wobbled a little but his hands steadied me.
"I must warn you, this was suggested by Petunia. So if it is overly romantic don't blame me"
"And if it's perfect?"
"Then thank me of course"
"Pff! Of course!" I laughed "can I open my eyes now?"
"Just a second, I want to make sure everything is perfect" and with that I heard him hurry away while I was truly felt flattered that he was making so much effort just for me. Though, I do kinda wish I picked better clothes to wear, I mean this outfit is nice but it isn't "going on a date" nice.
"Alright, you can open your eyes" Hieronymous said so I did just to gasp and cover my mouth in shock. In front of me in the middle of some trees was a rather comfortable and awesome looking picnic area. Well, it was a blanket laid on the grass with plates of food waiting for us but still, it was amazing!
"This must have took you ages!"
"I had some help" Hieronymous stuttered a bright blush appearing on his face which actually really suited him
"Still" I said smiling widely standing close to him "this is really cool" I went on my tiptoes there to kiss his jaw because I couldn't reach his lips, why does he have to be two foot taller than me? But I noticed he was getting a tad bit uncomfortable, he's clearly not used to being so embarrassed so I looked over to our food just to see cheesecake...My weakness, I LOVE cheesecake! Yup, I hurried to that as Hieronymous slowly followed me. A few sandwiches and a drink of orange juice later saw me sat on the edge of the lake that was nearby with my feet in the cold water enjoying how the water ran between my toes with Hieronymous sat behind me with his head resting on my shoulder and his arms wrapped around my waist. I happily told him that Donald wouldn't want a detention any time soon, how I was enjoying the classes, the new schedule which ended him telling me not to work too hard. That of course lead him to do an impression of my "nagging" which earned him a playful jab in the stomach.
"It is a shame there isn't any cooking clubs here...You could make me cookies for my tea" he suddenly said making me smiled at him "I rather miss your cooking"
"Out of curiosity, what's the best thing I made for you?"
"Your pasta special"
"Oh yes, with the melted cheese all runny and melty...Damn it, now I made myself hungry, is there any of those cheese and ham rolls left or did I eat all of them?"
"You ate all of them, however, there are some sandwiches left" Hieronymous said so I ate some of those. After I ate I just enjoyed being sat in Hieronymous's arms, this is the first time he has held me and I like it a lot. I don't even know if he realized what he is doing but I'm not going to say a word. However, I did turn my head to give him a little kiss. I wasn't honestly expecting anything back but I was very pleased when Hieronymous gently placed his hand on my cheek and kissed me back. This kiss was soft and gentle. After we kissed we talked some more and it was great, just the two of us. Away from the other students, away from nasty rumours and away from all the stares. It was perfect.
"Who is the Oliver you talk about?" Hieronymous asked after I mentioned him once again
"The feminine boy club creator, I'm shocked you don't know about him...He's covered in pastel colours"
"Ah, yes...Mr Lakeside, yes I know him...He tried to flirt his way out of detection once"
"WHAT?!" I sounded in shock as I pushed myself away from Hieronymous "I hope he didn't do it when our marriage got out"
"Heavens no! This was when he was a Freshmen"
"Oh" I said relaxing now "Well, anyway, he's how I want to be"
"I certainly hope not! I do not want you to become a rainbow!"
"What? No! I didn't mean like that!" I laughed with a snort and playfully hitting him on his left shoulder "all those pastel colours will clash with my hair! No, I meant confident, sexy"
"You're already both of those things to me" Hieronymous gently said as he slowly stroked my cheek making me blush like crazy "but if you think that Mr Lakeside will improve that then so be it...Just please, don't change"
"I will never do that" I smiled holding Hieronymous left hand and kissing his knuckles "It's just that when I look at Oliver, I'm like, yeah I want be like that"
"You don't need to explain, do whatever makes you happy because your happiness bounces off onto me or so Petunia likes to inform me"
"Well you have been smiling at lot more"
"Yes...It's ruining my reputation"
"Your welcome" I laughed but then I smiled widely when I felt Hieronymous gently kiss my cheek before he told me something really cool! Next Saturday is the cider festival and as a seventeen-year-old student I could go and Hieronymous would have the day off. He explained that every Professor had the cider festival off to enjoy it themselves and this year it was Hieronymous's turn. I was too happy to wonder how ironic it all was, all I cared about was the fact he said it was going to be our next date!
