The ghost before him was three times as large as he was, with green flames atop his metallic blue head. He looked like he was completely made of metal, and was pointing a shoulder gun down at Randy that had sprung from his armor the second he'd turned around.

Don't scream, Cunningham, Randy coached himself, knees quivering as his hand tightened around his cell phone. He won't know you're about to cheese your pants if you don't scream...

"You don't look like any of the other sniveling humans the Halfling brings into our world," the giant ghost growled, tilting his giant head at him. "You are much shorter and reek of fear."

So much for that...

"Uh...I'm...new..." Randy stammered, locking his knees in place to keep them from knocking against each other. His upper body decided to shake a bit instead. "A-A-And you are?"

"Skulker. Master hunter of the Ghost Zone."

"That sounds l-lovely."

"It is."

Randy shrieked as his giant hand lifted him up by his hoodie, bringing him up so they were eye to eye.

"I wonder what price the Halfling would pay for your safety?" the ghost wondered allowed.

"P-Probably not much," Randy stuttered, curling in on himself. "W-We're not super close or anything."

"You are just acquaintances? No matter."

Randy gasped when Skulker released him, letting him fall to the stones with a yelp. He looked up to see more weapons popping out of the hunter's armor; a ray gun, missile launcher, and two wrist cannons were now staring him in the face.

"I'll just dispose of you then. We'll see how the Phantom likes that."

"He doesn't."

Skulker looked up in time to see the green beam hit him straight in the chest, flinging him yards away from Randy. Danny whipped his body between the violet-haired boy and the hunter, left hand teeming with energy.

"Hunt someone your own size, Skulker!" Danny growled. "And try and make it someone who isn't a friend? We wouldn't be doing this dance again if you went after Vlad!"

"Yeah!" Randy cried, suddenly brave enough to bolt up next to Danny and shake his fist at the downed ghost. "Hunt someone you're own - "

He paused and swiveled towards Danny, gaping at him.

"'Friend'?" he parroted.

"Huh?" Danny asked. "Oh, uh, yeah. I guess we're about there now."

Danny returned his attention to the recovering hunter and shifted his legs to a ghost tail. He flung himself forward and smacked into Skulker, then flipped into the air and threw a blast at him. Randy watched them exchange blows, still in awe of what he'd heard.

"'Friends'?" he asked again, brain fried and blinking as Danny dodged a missile and retaliated again.

A buzzing finally rushed into his hearing, causing him to look down. His backpack had been discarded and glowing red, ringing incessantly.

"Book!" He scooped up his bag and yanked out the Nomicon and the ninja mask. "Mask! Help!"

Danny went intangible so one of Skulker's missiles whizzed right through him, readying another ray before he noticed a familiar red blur.

"Randy wait!" he cried.

"Ninja slash!" Randy shouted as he jumped into the air, suit on and sword raised.

Skulker let out a little umph as the sword connected with his metal skull. Randy landed on the ground and stared at his weapon as it vibrated, stomach sinking into his feet as Skulker turned around.

"Ooohh, cheese..." Randy whimpered.

He yelped and jumped away as Skulker fired one of his wrist cannons at him.

"Okay, new plan!" Randy cried, hopping about as Skulker tried to hit him.

"Lift your sword!" Danny shouted, lifting a hand and firing in Randy's direction.

Randy managed to lift the blade and bounce the blast off the metal, sending it flying into Skulker's chest. The ghost was rocked back as part of his chestplate splintered.

"Oh! Thanks!" Randy cried, jolting forward.

He leapt straight at the bounty hunter and slammed his sword into the weakened plate, further damaging the metal. Skulker growled and swatted at Randy; the boy managed to flip backwards and throw his blade into the bounty hunter's chest, sending sparks shooting out of his body and an enraged roar from his throat. Danny swooped down and charged up a beam, bringing a fist down as he struck Skulker across the head.

His fist rammed through the metal and revealed the tiny glowing ooze resting inside the armor, manning the controls. Danny landed, straightened, and grabbed the goo by the back of his neck, lifting him away from the Skulker suit.

"Wait...that's Skulker?" Randy balked, putting his sword away and staring at the squirming ghost in Danny's grasp. "I was intimidated by a green loogie?"

"Yeah, that's basically how everyone feels," Danny said with a shrug.

He smirked down at the Skulker as the blob glared up at him.

"See ya later, Skulk," he said, grabbing the hunter's leg.

"You will pay for this!" the high-pitched blob shrilled, cringing slightly as Danny stretched his body to arm's length.

He screamed as soon as Danny let him go, his body flying into the air and off the rock. Danny and Randy watched him disappear before Randy's brain caught up again and he jumped into the air, wrapping his arms around Danny's neck before the Halfa could step away.

"Friend!" he cheered happily as Danny teetered about.

"Randy, please! No fanboying until we get out of here," Danny begged, trying to push the Ninja off him. He couldn't help smiling just a bit at Randy's excitement, until the Specter Speeder rose into view.

"Awe," Sam cooed mockingly from the inside. "I ship it."

Danny promptly shoved Randy away and glared at his friends snickering at them. Randy stumbled a bit before righting himself, brushing off his suit and grabbing his bag.

"Sorry," he muttered as Danny floated off the ground and toward the ship.

"Don't worry about it," Danny sighed.

"Still happy I got a hug though," Randy said to himself, bouncing to the Speeder behind him.

Tucker drove them back towards the portal, ribbing them alongside Sam as they went.

Hellooo? Howard called from Randy's phone, still discarded on the stone they'd left. Cunninghaaam? Did you do something awesome without me again? ...Shoob!
