Okay, this chapter's been long overdue, and I'm sick and tired of seeing the chapter titles be one before the actual chapter (Because I decided to make a prologue. Never again) So, here, I'm giving you all two for the price of one, Grandma! ... Actually, no, it's just covering what I wanted for one chapter, but since It deals with two ghosts, and I do want that chapter thing to be fixed, I've decided to do just that and name this thing two chapters.

But, seriously. Writer's Block Sucks. Like... I've never had it before. In my life. I've always known what stories I want told. I always know how scenes need to go. My problem is more motivation. But this is the first time in my life I've actually experienced writer's block. The first scene in this story? I legitamently had no idea what to do with it. I knew what had to be done, but I didn't know how to start and how to get to it. After that, it was a scene later on in the story. I had trouble with figuring out what characters would say, which is odd for me, because I usually love writing dialogue.

Enjoy this chapter. Read, and review, all that stuff.

Love sets the stage for wonderful wonderful things to happen in one's life, only for it to ultimately come crashing down. This tale was no different. The love that was felt was so short lived, and was accompanied by hatred. Burning hatred, from the coldest of hearts.

Once there was a Young Woman. A beautiful maiden, with the most luscious golden locks. She was raised within a house of aristocrats, with her mother, Glacia, wishing only for the best of her daughter, planning out everything she could to make sure that she had the most wonderful life she could. However, her high standards led to quite a difficult life for the young woman. She went to a very pristine school, with the only people there being very stuck up and snooty. Very few people were to her liking, and therefore, had very little friends. Save for one young man, by the name of Ricky.

Ricky was what many people within the young woman's school call a commoner. He went to the average public school, and wasn't even very good at that. He thought that school was dumb, considering he had the dream of being in a punk rock and metal band. He didn't know what the young woman saw in him, but he didn't question it, considering she was the only person who didn't think he was dumb for trying to achieve his dreams. The two had many conversations, both deep and intellectual, and idiotic and humorous. He could not give her much, at least not at the time, but she didn't ever ask anything of him. He merely wanted to make sure that she had a life filled with adventure.

Glacia did not like Ricky very much. And Ricky did not like Glacia. The two clearly didn't see eye to eye. Glacia didn't want her daughter to throw her life away with some commoner punk like Ricky. And Ricky didn't want his girlfriend to die living a life of a lap dog in some fancy mansion with nothing to do other than sip tea and look pretty. And their dislikes didn't stop there either. They disliked each other's music, each other's fashion tastes, morals, ideals, pretty much everything that one could think of. The Young Woman had to make a choice of who to side with. The mother who raised her and gave her everything she could give out of love, or the friend who had very little to give outside of his love. Her choice was going to break one of their hearts. She knew this.

In the end, the Young Woman decided to go with Ricky, funding his band with her own riches. This ended up breaking Glacia's heart. As much as it pained her to go, and shatter their relationship, she felt that this was what she truly wanted. What she needed. She hoped that one day she could see the reason for her decision, and could understand and accept it. Ricky, feeling grateful of her choice, offered her to go on tour with him and his band, and she even got to sing a few songs along the way.

Eventually, their love led to a marriage. Their band decided to play for the wedding, free of charge, with the two lovebirds taking the center stage. So that they could sing about the love they shared. However, despite this wonderful idea, the wedding was not without its disappointments. They had very little funds to spend on the wedding, and not much time for planning. The worse part of it was that while family members and friends from Rick's family showed up, Glacia's side of the wedding was completely dry and empty. This left the Young Woman heartbroken on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. Later upon their honeymoon, Ricky called Glacia in order to speak with her about the Young Woman's decision. This did not end very well for anyone, especially the young Woman, who merely heard Ricky yelling at Glacia on the phone all night, scolding her for not coming, and fighting a fight that needed not be fought.

Regardless, the two became wed, and had a baby boy not shortly after. They still went on tour with him, and soon, the band even considered him a little mascot for them. While it didn't really catch on, they still assured him that he could be part of the band when he was older. As with most families, the parents did not stop at just one child. Soon, the Young Woman expected a baby girl to come out of her womb. However, things did not go for the best this time around.

Glacia decided to actually come and greet the baby during her birth, somewhat regretting the ability to meet her grandson. During her stay in the hospital, Ricky and Glacia fought. They fought like cats and dogs. Like light and dark. Like fire and ice. Eventually, the Young Woman could not take it anymore. Her Own heart was broken, seeing that even now peace could not be brought in between her love and her mother, and she died in childbirth.

Ricky, heartbroken at the loss of his wife, broke off from the band and continued raising his son to the best of his abilities. Glacia, meanwhile, took in the girl, wishing to give her a full, prosperous life, just as she wished of her own daughter. Ricky did not object. Despite knowing that it wasn't the child's fault, he couldn't even bare to look at the baby without being reminded of his deceased wife. The two went their separate ways, not crossing paths or messages for the rest of their days. Until...

A glass bottle shattered through the window of a fancy house. The sound of a trailer truck parking in the driveway was coupled with the sound of drunken laughter. Ricky and his drunken pals had arrived to that old hag Glacia's house. Their breath was the stench of the alcohol, mixed with their own natural mouth odors after not brushing their teeth for over a month. Well, except for Danny. Danny was a neat freak about his dental hygiene.

"Hey, Ricky, is dis da place?" Danny asked, his breath reeking of beer and minty freshness.

"Of course this is the place, ya dipship!" Ricky scolded, "Why else would I've thrown a bottle into the old hag's house?"

"Hey, I-I-'m…" Danny hiccuped before continuing his drunken slurs, "I'm just makin' sure we don't go to prison for messin' up someone's livin' areas…"

"Danny..." Mark belched, "We're messing up this old hag's 'livin' area'…"

"Yeah, but I-" He hiccuped, "-But I-" He hiccuped, "I just wanted to make sure that we didn't-" He hiccuped again, "Imma lie down for a bit…" With that, Danny opened the driver's door and fell down onto the ground, audibly throwing up his drinks and meals from earlier.

Ricky ripped off his seat belt before climbing out of the truck, stepping on Danny's figure in the process. He closely examined Glacia's house, taking in every detail of that old witch's precious memories. After all, that's all she was going to have after tonight, wasn't it? Old memories of when she raised her precious daughter… Bah. The thought of his beloved spending her early years-and a majority of her life at that-with this old hag almost made him sick to his stomach. Or maybe that was just the beer.

He walked around to the back of his truck, looking closely at the details of his precious van. This was the very same van he took his beloved on tour with. The same one where she gave birth to his son on. He remembered that day. His friend Danny helped her birth the baby. His son was actually Danny's first baby he birthed as a doctor officially. Granted, he was a dentist, but he still felt it counted. After all, his son was still a human being, just like any other baby. Well, except for baby animals. But they didn't count as baby babies. His hand slid across the blue painted flames of the van, remembering back when the two lovebirds painted it initially. Such great memories with her. Eventually, he got to the back of the trailer van, with its lock being a chain wrapped around the handles tightly. That broke off shortly before his beloved died. He couldn't bare himself to properly fix the lock afterwards.

He opened the door to greet his drunken friends, each one of them tougher than the last. Every one of them jumped out of the van, one by one, holding some sort of blunt weapon, ready to ransack the place. They all smelled of booze and liquor, and had a different weapon in hand. Bat, crowbar, deer antler, mannequin leg, something that resembled a bowling trophy, even a body pillow case filled to the brim with bricks. That one was Larry's. He had some anime chick on it. They made fun of him for it. Regardless, each one of them were ready to ransack the place.

"Okay, boys…" Ricky yelled to his comrades, "We're here… let's give this old hag a big enough surprise to give her a heart attack!"

And with that, the vandalizing began. They all jumped out of the car and began running amok the property. They broke into the windows using large rocks, not caring if anyone got hurt in the process. As they broke the glass of the windows, the rocks were thrown into various pictures on the wall and china cabinets. The thugs jumped in, stepping on shattered glass, making crunching noises. Some of them used spray paint and vandalized the walls, others ripped down the curtains and used them as togas. Tables were flipped, chairs were broken over heads, and messes were made. Eventually, within the rioting of his friends, Ricky found Gracia, sitting in a chair. She was not moving at all, and merely sat in her chair, doing nothing. She was clearly asleep.

"Well, well,- " He burped, "well... if it isn't the heartless hag... How's life treatin' ya? Stepping on people you think are cock-a-roaches?" She said nothing, which aggravated Ricky, "Oh, no even gonna talk to me, eh? What are you sleeping while we ransack your dump of a place?"

Glacia merely sat in her chair, not moving. Ricky waved his hand in front of her face, before snapping his finger to try and wake her up. No luck. She was out like a light. He shrugged, leaving the room and continued to vandalize the house.

He went into the kitchen, which appeared to be a pigsty. Almost like someone had been scrounging around for food. It was probably Mike trying to make himself a sandwich. He couldn't make a sandwich sober, let alone drunk. Regardless, Ricky grabbed the refrigerator and began pulling it out form the wall, until he could get behind it. He then got behind it, and pushed it over, getting up in between the crack he made and pushing with his legs. He laughed, drunkenly, taking a swig of his beer.

He made his way back into the room Glacia was in to check on how the others were doing. there, his eyes caught Glacia, still not moving. He frowned at her, clenching his teeth at the old hag. He clenched his bottle tightly. Thinking back to all the times she was just an old hag. He ran up to her and grabbed her chair, tipping it ove rot the sid,e in an attempt to wake her up. She fell to the ground, expressionless. She did not even move a muscle.

"And you're still asleep, even after all this-" He threw up a little in his mouth, but kept his composure, "After all my buddies wrecked this dump of a house! What you don't have any-" He hiccuped in between his repeated sentence, "Any help? Some poor Shmuck to clean up, because he's 'inferior?'"

He took in a big whiff of something that was slightly entering his nostrils. Immediately regretting it, he began to wave his hand in front of his face, trying to get the stench out of his nose. "Holy shipyards, grandma, it smells like someone died in here!"

He took a swig of his drunk and threw it at her feet, in hopes of her waking up to the shattering of glass erupting and piercing her legs. Nope. nothing. She didn't even move, "Ah, whatever. I'm gonna go take a leak in her backyard. Continue ransacking the ol' hag's place, boys!"

Ricky's mood was many different wild emotions. It was angry. It was passionate. It was wild. It burned with the intensity of a thousand suns. But once he exited the house and went into the backyard, every sense of that died. Heck, even his drunken side dulled when he saw what he did.

A dead willow tree accompanied the dead grass of the backward, with the dying bushes soon following. A swing set was held aloft by the branches of said tree. The ropes of the swing were old and weakened, by rain. The same stench that accompanied Glacia in her room as abound out here as well.

But lying on the grass is what killed the fires inside of Ricky. While inside the house, his ruffian friends were tearing Glacia's house to shreds, loud and enjoying their destructive time, Ricky could only look on in horror on what he found. His hands trembled, and his legs shook weakly, barely able to hold his his weight now, whereas they could've lifted an ox beforehand.

For lying on the grass was a young girl, no older than six, wearing a Sunday bonnet.

Ricky stumbled forwards, falling to his knees before having to crawl on his hands to get to the small child. His arms wobbled as he applied pressure to keep himself up and moving. Eventually, he made it to right beside the rotting swing set, next to the girl. He quickly lifted her into his arms, examining her closely. She was very pale, and reeked the same smell Glacia did inside the house. He studied her face closely, burning every minor detail into his skull. Memorizing it, even though he would regret doing such for the rest of his life. His breathing became heavier and heavier as he examined her closely. He gripped her by the wrist tightly, before his other hand to her chest. Tears slowly began to leak out of his eyes. It was all but confirmed to him at this point. But it couldn't be! It couldn't! There was one final chance that it couldn't be who he thought it was. He removed his hand from her chest and brought it shakily up to her head. He gripped her at gently before slowly removing it, revealing her bright blonde hair. His eyes widened, tears fell from his face, his entire body shook upon the revelation.

He held his dead daughter in his hands.

He screamed. He screamed loudly. The entire neighborhood was able to hear his vocal chords strumming in terror. Screaming bloody murder. Cursing to the heavens as he caressed his deceased offspring in sorrow. How did this happen? Why did it happen? What was the meaning of all of this? He found her lying in the backyard, like a toy that was forgotten to be brought in.

His mind tried to process everything, which was very hard for him to do, given his mental state. His drunken buddies were still ransacking the place, throwing things out the windows of the house, while he weeped over his child. He began regretting letting Glacia take her. He couldn't bare to look at her when he lost his wife. She was a constant reminder of her death, something painful that he would've rathered put behind himself. Now, though, he would've trudged through the pain. If he knew that she would be dead in her grandmother's backyard in five or so years, he wouldn't have ever let the old hag have her grubby mits on her. Even if she still died, he would've done it.

Soon, sirens began to whir in the night. Police men were arriving to the scene of this ransacking. Ricky heard them, and despite his drunken mind impairing proper thinking, he knew it was time to leave. He let the child fall to the ground once more and began trying to climb over the willow tree to get out of Glacia's yard. It was a difficult task, thanks to his impaired hand eye coordination, but he managed before he was caught. His friends were most likely caught, but he didn't care. At least, not right now. All he wanted to do was run away from this problem, just as he did before.

Rick stumbled home, his eyes red from the tears that had been non-stop flowing. He tried to move around the mess on the ground, most likely left by his son. He didn't even care about the mess, it wasn't the biggest one to him. He just wanted to go and just get his mind off of what he had seen tonight. Maybe he'd report on it in the morning. Maybe he wouldn't, considering they were ransacking the place. It was still kinda illegal to do that, even if the house's owner had died.

Regardless, after a few stumbled steps though his living room, he fell to the ground, cursing silently to himself at the pain. He tried to get up, but was too drunk to really do so. He decided to call for help form the only family member o his that was alive. His son. The last remnant of his deceased wife, and the brother to his deceased daughter.

He called out to his son. No one answered. He shouted his son's name again. No answer once more. eventually, he just trudged through his mess of a living room and made his way to the kitchen. There, he saw the phone had a message on it. He hadn't been home for a while, so it was understandable that there were messages. Although, when he took his son into account, he was surprised that he didn't check any of them. It was odd.

Regardless, Ricky took the phone from of the hook and played back the messages. He was expecting telemarketers, late bill fees, maybe a call from the school's teacher or principal explaining something about his kid, or a parent teacher conference he missed. The usual stuff anyone would experience if they were gone as long as he was.

His eyes widened as he listened to the message he wasn't expecting.

Immediately, he got into his sleek, red, topless car. He was still drunk as drunk could be, but he didn't care. He wasn't thinking clearly at all. The alcohol had impaired his judgement, along with finding his dead daughter in the backyard of that old hag. He was not thinking clearly at all. And he didn't care. He twisted the keys, activating the car, then driving off onto the road, hitting many set up trash cans and the occasional mailbox on his drunken rampage.

He could not believe what he had just heard on the phone. This was how his son acted when he wasn't around? He just could not believe it at all. Maybe he was just raised wrongly? He didn't have a mother at all growing up. Even when she was alive, she couldn't spend all that much time with him, considering how much they went on tour. It was something that he deeply regretted.

But not as much as leaving poor Willow with that hag. She probably didn't have any friends at all, considering that woman's high judgement on people. Everything had to be just perfect with her. If they weren't, she crewed them out and made them feel terrible. Made them feel like they weren't worth anything. Heck, she probably made poor Willow feel that way too. As the thoughts of that old hag came back into her mind, the angrier it made him. The faster he drove. His teeth gritted and he cursed more and more, getting louder and louder as his mind festered about her. Quickly he found the place of his arrival. The local prison. He accelerated, realizing that his son was in there.

"PUPPIES! FLOWERS! KITTENS! AND SUNSHINE!" He censored swears as he drove at nearly a hundred miles an hour.

His eyes widened as he saw his son, Zeke-

CRASH!

"Where is it?! Where is it?! Where is that jar?!" King Boo shouted at the top of his nonexistent lungs, frantically searching the dank basement for the jar of their desires.

"HoW tHe UnDerWEAr shOulD I knOw?" Replied the king's accomplice, "oNe sEcoNd iT's HerE, ThE NeXt it'S noT!"

King Boo's deep purple eye twitched at the statement of his ally. Slowly, he turned to face him, scowling at them with a grimace that could make the Devil himself shudder. He glided over to the face of his ally, staring into his blood red eyes, his breath cold and chilling. It made Glacia's room feel like a tropical paradise.

"You of all people should know… After all, you were the laSt oNe HERE!" King Boo shouted, his voice distorting in anger. His Accomplice felt a level of terror they had never felt before. Usually, the whole distorted voice thing was their thing, but with King Boo, it elevated him. It sent chills down their spine. Despite this sensation of chills going through them, it quickly dawned upon them the answer to the King's question. They grimaced as well. Their toothy grin made itself very apparent.

"nOI wAsN'T tHe laST OnE heRe... Hahaha… Hahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHA! H̛A̢͜͝H͏̵A͝H̸̛A̶H̨͡A͝HA̸H̡́͘A̸A͘HA͝!̸̢"

Luigi shivered in the room of ice he just entire area glistened, with everything being sleek and fancy. The furniture seemed to be made of crystal, even the embroidered sofa. Which must've been a pain to sit on. There were a few steps that led to a small platform in the corner of the room, which had a crystalline harp and piano atop it. Luigi exhaled to find that his own breath was visible. He clutched his arms together to try and keep himself warm within this icebox of a room. There was most likely another ghost within this room, alongside the ghost that fled into here. Which did not help poor Luigi with his shivering.

He took a step forwards, intending to further explore the room, but, due to the icy floor, he could not get a good grip with his foot and ended up sliding on his bum. His teeth clenched and he made a small yelp but was overall least, for now. It was then that she heard a piano playing in the room. It held an ominous tone to it. The tension of the music was so thick that one could cut it with a knife. Though, Luigi probably wouldn't do it. He's terrified of knives. Those things can cut people. Luigi could barely stand paper cuts, but that probably dated back to a traumatic experience with a lemonade stand as a child.

Shaking violently from a mixture of the cold and fear, Luigi was somehow able to grip his flashlight with his freezing hand. The metal on the flashlight was very cold due to the room's temperature, and Luigi could feel it through his glove. Which admittedly did help out with his sweaty palms.

"What's a skinny, little plumber doing in my domain?" Said a voice in the cold winds of the room. Said winds blew across Luigi's being, sending shivers down his spine, with what appeared to be snowflakes freezing parts of his body. He yelped in surprise of this event. Quickly, the winds of the room met near the piano, and the snowflakes formed together to create a figure. Luigi watched in awe as the ghostly figure appeared before him.

This ghost was an aged woman, at least at the age of sixty. Despite this, she had very few wrinkles, at least, it appeared to be that way. Her skin looked as smooth as the icy exterior of the room they were in. She wore a dress that barely touched the ground, with the ends seeming to glide across the ice covered floor. Whi8le her hair was grayed, she was unmistakably blonde in her younger years of life. She had a set of fancy white gloves covering her hands. Her eyes, while the same ghostly type that all of the other spectral beings had in this mansion, seemed to be as blue as the room they were in.

"Answer the question, street rat." She spat at him.

Luigi blinked at her question. He was still visibly shaking from both the cold and fear, with his visible breath getting heavier and heavier. The old woman noticed and raised her brow at this, not loosing her cold expression however. Luigi looked to his left and right before pointing to himself in an attempt to make sure she was addressing him. She scowled at him.

"Yep, I'm talking to you, you imbecile!"

Luigi yelped at her sudden outburst. He began to stutter, trying to explain that he was looking for a ghost that flew into this room, and was very clearly not her. His mind immediately jumped back to the ghost when he remembered the ghost he was actually looking for. He was looking for one of the purple ghosts that seemed to have a great deal of knowledge in this mansion. He knew that he was the one who kidnapped Tails' beloved Cosmo, but with the way he was talking to his supposed brothers earlier... There was something bigger at play, and Luigi realized that with that ghost in the room, he was most likely listening to the conversation he was having with this one. Or, at least what conversation he would be having if he continued. The plumber didn't ant to necessarily capture him, he just wanted answers. Mainly where Cosmo was. While he was the one that took her, he at least seemed somewhat reasonable once they knew he could understand them.

The old woman however was tired of waiting for an answer. She scoffed, with a small gust of cold wind blowing from her nostrils. Luigi felt the sensation of her inner breath flow across his skin, which terrified him. She turned her back to the plumber and made her way to the piano that was in the corner of the room. She sat down and wiggled her fingers before she began playing the string instrument. It sounded exactly like the ominous tune that played earlier in the room.

"I guess that I, Glacia Freeze, will just have to show a commoner like you some manners. You are to speak when spoken to, you insignificant street rat." Suddenly, shards of ice flew out of the piano and threw themselves at Luigi, taking the plumber by surprise.

Tails' eyes widened as he stepped through what appeared to be hell. Within this room the temperature seemed to skyrocket beyond what normal thermometers were capable of showing. The walls themselves seemed to be melting a little bit, and there were small, miniature pools of lava across the floor, with little droplets of the molten rock draped across the walkable pathways of the area.

That being said, heat and fire weren't the only theme to this room. It was in general a mess as well. With Pizza boxes laying across the floor, dirty clothes stung about everywhere, and just a general lack of owned this domain clearly had a thing for fire and not a thing for cleanliness.

Tails wiped his brow as he took a few steps in the room, trying to find the ghost that had escaped his grasp. He knew that that ghost hel the knowledge of where Cosmo was. He just had to. At least he could help. Luigi was going after the other one, but if he escaped and Tails caught this one, they could use him to help find the other ghost, and, in turn, find Cosmo.

Tails blinked for a few seconds as this dawned on him, "Wait a second… why didn't I go for the other ghost?"

Boofurd held back every ounce of his ghastly body from making some sort of snide comment about it. Probably something to do with comparing him to Specks. Which he found funny, because from what he's been told, this fox kid's a genius.

"What other ghost?" Said a voice in the room. Tails jumped at the sudden new arrival. He glanced around, trying to see where the voice came from. In the fraction of an instant, Tails got his answer.

A lava pool in the room suddenly exploded, causing the entire room to be covered in the molten magma. Tails did his best to dodge out of the way of the melted rock, which he somehow did. After he regained his composure, he looked at the newcomer.

Much like the rest of the mansion, this was a ghost. Lava dripped off of his rather muscular body. He was by no means a bodybuilder, but he certainly had a few muscles here and there. His face seemed to either be painted, or tattooed to the point where it looked like he was trying to emulate a skull. No skin seemed to be visible from anywhere on his head. He wore a black tank top, along with spiked wrist guards. His hair seemed to be on fire, if there was any indication to the room, as it glowed bright orange and seemed to be flowing on its own, without any wind in the area.

"U-uh…" Tails stuttered before gulping, "I-I'm just looking for a ghost that ran in here. That's all! I don't mean to bother you in any way, Mr. Fire Rock ghost, sir!"

The man studied the child closely, not taking his eyes off of him at all. In his eyes, he saw fear. Terror. A look that a poor man would give to a tyrant dictator after raising his voice an octave as he begged for food or water. As if he knew deep down that no matter what, that the poor kit would be harmed. Which, in a way, he would be. Not through a traditional beat down. No, he know exactly how this would go down.

The man laughed, "Relax, kid, you're no bother at all! In fact, I've been meaning to get some company for a while now..."

Tails' eyes widened upon that statement. Despite the intense heat of the room, he felt a shiver down his spine. The flaming rocker held his arm above his head, hand opened wide. Quickly, out of another pool of lava came an item. An instrument. An electric guitar is what he held in his grasp, with lava dripping from its strings. It was covered in spikes, and its base appeared to be made out of hardened rock.

"After all, what kinda party can Ricky Flamez throw if I don't have someone to rock out to some sick jams?" Ricky said, holding a guitar pick in his other hand as he brought his guitar close to his body. The guitar pick seemed to resemble a flame, having several different points, and being yellow on the outer rim and red in the inner ones.

Tails' quickly realized what was about to happen and fumbled to get his gear ready to fight this ghost, just like any of the others. However, he was too late. Ricky had already begun playing, blasting the fox's poor eardrums to oblivion.

Waluigi's shoes slushed in the mush of the mud from the storm. The successful Bridal Boutique owner/Terrible Pancake shopkeeper had just pilfered E. Gadd's laboratory for Power Up items that Mario and Luigi run into on their adventures. He wasn't sure exactly what he grabbed, but that was alright. He knew that not disclosing the information to the reader could allow him to pull out deus ex machinas in tight situations. Although, in the back of his mind, he questioned why he would get deux ex machinas, considering the relationship he and the author had.

"Waluigi knows you would never kill Waluigi off. You love Waluigi." Waluigi spoke to the sky as he made his way up the stairs and inside the mansion.

Waluigi looked around the first room of the mansion and wondered why it was here. He knew there was a hallway on the one side, a living room on the other, and some undisclosed third door on the final side. Why was it here? Couldn't the architectural group just had a hallway leading from the living room and bring that out farther? What was the point?

Waluigi shook his head, quickly realizing that it wasn't truly any architectural people, but the author's own dumb plans for the mansion. Even though it was based off of an actual mansion, so in reality, it actually was dumb architecture.

"...Okay, now you're just putting words into Waluigi's mouth, Mr. Narrator Man, because Waluigi was thinking about something entirely different." Waluigi lied, shaking his finger to the ceiling.

"I was not lying! I was thinking about that one time Tatanga tried to eat Daisy. She was like a Thanksgiving Turkey." Waluigi said, silently wishing to indulge in his darkest cannibalistic desires.

"I am not a cannibal! Waluigi has never once wished to become a cannibal!" Waluigi yelled, looking at the ceiling and making obscene hand gestures, "I mean, don't get me wrong, Daisy would make a wonderful meal, but that's just because she has the good kinda meat. And I don't mean fat, I mean she's like a turkey, in that she has great breasts and thighs."

As Waluigi defended himself from cannibalistic accusations from the narrator, but making himself look like a pervert in the process, a Boo slowly came out from inside of the small desk in the room, with wide eyes and a confused frown. Waluigi immediately took notice of the newcomer and asked him a simple question.

"What are you looking at, Boo Sagat?"

The Boo just looked at him and asked, "Who are you talking too?"

Waluigi looked at him and pointed to the ceiling, "I'm talking to the Narrator Man."

"Who?"

"The Narrator-" Waluigi tried to say before sighing, "You know. The Narrator Man. The Guy who's speaking all of our actions, like we're in some kind of story."

The Boo just continued to look at the insane man, completely unsure of what to make of him, "Um..."

"Wait, hold on! This is perfect! You're a third party! You can help! Now, is Waluigi a cannibal, or is he not?" Waluigi asked, even though the matter at hand was not whether or not Waluigi was a cannibal, it was whether or not he wanted to be a cannibal.

"okay, fine!" Waluigi said, looking up at the ceiling for being corrected by, what appeared to be the ceiling according to the Boo, before looking back to the Boo. "Does Waluigi want to be a cannibal, or does he just know what the juiciest parts of a woman are?"

Words are not needed to describe the Boo's face to anyone. All they needed was that line and the fact that no one knows of the narrator's existence to imagine this Boo's face.

"I'm gonna go back into the desk now." The Boo said, deadpan.

"No! Wait! Stop!" Waluigi said, holding onto the Boo, taking him by complete surprise, "You need to be the third party for this argument!"

"HOW ARE YOU GRABBING ONTO ME?!" The Boo screamed in terror. This was a rule of ghosts and the living. The living could not interfere with the dead. But the dead could interfere with the living. With this strange purple man was defying one of the very most basic laws of reality. However, just as the ghost screamed this, Boo Sagat was able to fade out of his hands, acting like a normal ghost, with the wrong righted.

"Oh, great! You lampshaded the impossible! You never do that! Because then the impossible becomes the impossible again!" Waluigi shouted.

The Boo, freaked out beyond belief, flew right into the desk, wanting for the strange man in purple who spoke to ceilings to get as far away from him as possible.

"Hey! You get out of there! Waluigi was not done with you! Waluigi desperately needs your opinion!" Waluigi shouted, shaking the desk violently. With this, the Boo flew out of the desk, screaming at the plumber.

"YOU'RE A FREAK! A FREAK OF NATURE!"

Waluigi, now feeling insulted, shouted back, "Oh, who asked you!"

With Boo Sagat's opinion now being as worthless as someone who legitimately liked Batman V Superman, Waluigi decided to take the appropriate actions. He pulled out his vacuum cleaning hose and his flashlight, dual wielding them, thinking he looked like an extreme badass, and began using them on Boo Sagat. He flashed him with the light and revealed his pink heart, before using the vacuum hose to suck the ghost into the vacuum. While most other Boos would fight, this Boo was so messed up from Waluigi's actions, that he couldn't even fight properly, and was easy pickin's for Waluigi. Even though he thought he was extremely amazing for taking the Boo down with ease-

"Oh, that's not why I'm amazing. Waluigi's amazing because he's Waluigi."

... Regardless, Boo Sagat was only the first in many many Boos in the mansion. Waluigi's eyes widened at this narration, "Wait a second! They all have dumb boo related Puns! Don't they?!"

Waluigi as correct in his assumption. Except for the part where the Boo names were dumb. They clearly were all very clever plays on naming schemes.

"Clever?! You call putting Boo in a name with the letter B in it clever?! Waluigi could come up with cleverer names! And this is coming from the guy who says 'Wa' all the time!" Waluigi shouted to the heavens. Regardless, deep down in his black little heart, Waluigi knew what was going to happen.

"Oh, no, don't you dare-" He was going to have to get rid of all of the Boos within the mansion.

"Can Waluigi at least do it in a montage?" Waluigi asked, even though montages don't exactly work in written formats, "Oh, I see. You want Waluigi to prove his point!" Waluigi shou-wait, what?

"Well, you got it bub! Play the Benny Hill theme, Larry!" With that, he grabbed his hat and reached his entire arm inside of it, reaching round until he suddenly began to glow Seizure Rainbow. Accompanying him was the Power star theme, but with each note was replaced with Wa.

~WA WA WA, WA WAWA, WA, WA WA WA, WA WA WA, WA WAWA, WA WA WA, WA WA WA, WA WAWA, WA, WA WA WA, WA WA WA, WA WAWA, WA WA WA~

And with that, Waluigi went off to sequence break the story.

Luigi slid across the icy floor, attempting to evade all of Glacia's attacks, and barely succeeding. He already tried to shine the flashlight on her about five times before she just decided to freeze the batteries in the flashlight. Best to attack the problem at the source rather than try to avoid it all the time he had it, right?

"I will admit, your ballet moves are quite stunning, but you're still a simple commoner." Glacia said as Luigi jumped across the ice with ease. It is true that Luigi was a wonderful ballet dancer. He always has been ever since elementary school. It was part of the reason why he had such terrible self esteem, considering that kids were generally always cruel to him about it. His older brother Mario always had to stick up for him. This was one of the many reasons why Mario was always the better of the two of them. Although, being fair, Mario was a high schooler during that time, so he was practically an adult, so it's really no wonder that the other kids listened to him. He wondered how Mario was so ahead of him in school, but then he quickly remembered that he was held back in Preschool five times, which also did not help his self esteem in any way. On the bright side of things, he was the five time reigning champion of jump rope.

Regardless, in the shadows of the room, Fantom just watched in awe as Luigi managed to evade all of her attacks, with the finesse of a ballerina dancer. In fact, he could have sworn that at certain points during this fight, he was ice skating backwards, and that must've been extremely hard for anyone to do.

Icicles formed right behind Luigi and thrusted towards him. While none skewered him, to say he got out unscathed would be a lie. No, he was hit several times in the back, and was pushed over onto the icy floor. Glacia lifted her hand and several stalactites formed from an icy wind of the room. She brought down her hand and sent the ceiling spikes down on Luigi, stabbing him in the stomach, chest, and face. While blood was not visible in the previous attack, this one certainly had it. Several cuts were made across Luigi's face and torso. While they were not big cuts, they were not small either. She lifted her hand and sent Luigi flying into a wall using her wind powers.

Tails flew to the other side of the room thanks to Ricky's sonic booms. He immediately tried to get back up, but the burn marks that were upon his fur were causing him great pain. Suddenly, he felt a hand grip his twin tails and throw him up in the air. He was spun around and around and around in a circle, until Ricky spoke loudly.

"Come on, kid, haven't you ever been to a rock concert before?" Ricky said, even though this had little to do with rock concerts, "You haven't even experienced a mosh pit!"

With this, the rocker threw Tails to the other side of the room, and suddenly, from the molten lava ponds in the room, several chunks of it, forming what appeared to be people jumped out. They all held up their hands, catching Tails before he hit the ground, and pushing him back and forth, like a mosh pit. They seemed to all have solid rock hands, which allowed Tails to survive the strange attack. However, they were still excruciatingly hot, and left several burn marks on Tails' soft yellow and white fur. Eventually, he was thrown into a wall, where he tried to regain his composure.

While doing this, Boofurd watched from underneath the messy furniture of the room, albeit, unable to rally take anything in properly. He was simply trying his best to not get scorched from anything in the room. While he could not be harmed by physical things, it was a different story when another ghost was dealing with them. He could be burned as harshly as anyone else could be by Ricky's flaming room.

Ricky walked over to Tails and knelt down to him. He looked into the fox's sky blue eyes, which were barely opened to the man. Tails coughed up some blood, which was surprising to the both of them to say the least.

"P-please.. I just-" Tails coughed again, "I'm just looking for a ghost…"

Ricky smiled, showing off his spiked teeth. He gripped his guitar with one hand and his pick with the other. He looked cockilly into Tails' eyes before speaking, "Well, I'm a ghost. And i'm a pretty rockin' one too."

With that, he let off another sonic boom out of his guitar. This sent a massive amount of pressure upon Tails, nearly crushing his body from the experience. Boofurd saw this and made his escape attempt. He flew out from underneath his hiding spot and was sent flying back. The wave of sound from the ghost's device affected him as it did Tails. However, unlike Tails, who was a physical person, he was non-physical, and could be sent flying through object. So he was sent right through the walls of the lava filled room.

Boofurd flew out of Ricky's room, floating backwards from the metaphorical hell, until his nonphysical body hit something else non-physical. He jumped and screamed in response of his surprise, looking back at the being he bumped into.

"Aaahh! Don't burn me!" He screamed, shielding his face with his hands. Quickly, the being moved his hands out of the way and revealed himself to the ghost.

"It's me, ya dingus!" Fantom scolded.

Boofurd sighed in relief, "Thank God, for a second there, I thought Glacia left her room."

Fantom placed his hand on his chin, "The fox kid: How's he doing against Ricky?"

Boofurd blinked at that question his brother asked him. He really couldn't properly answer it. He was too busy trying to save his own ectoplasmic skin, unable to worry about the fox's plush fur. Although, from that alone, he could probably guess that he wasn't doing too good against the Guitarist.

"I'm gonna guess just about as well as the plumber's doing with Glacia?" Fantom suggested.

Boofurd shot Fantom a look of complete confusion, "Glacia's an old hag."

"She's an old hag who detests anyone she finds lower than her, and can shoot icicles out of nowhere while she plays the harp."

"... Okay, true." Boofurd said, folding his hands across his wrists. Boofurd found it hard to fold arms when they're pretty much nonexistent, so he always made it his habit to hold his wrists in order to emulate the gesture, "I guess he's doing as well as he could."

"So he's getting roasted alive worse than he would've if he ran into Cannibelle and Bella."

"I think he did run into those two, they weren't in the kitchen when I checked."

Fantom placed his clawed index finger and thumb on his forehead, rubbing them together in annoyance, "This is bad. This is, very bluntly, bad. If those two croak here, their games are over, and so are ours if that blasted King continues his schemes!"

"Yeah, yeah, I know. What do we do about it?"

"I'm thinking!" Phantom shouted, rubbing his chin. He tried to think back to how those two have been fighting this whole time. They fought together as a team, he knew that at least. There's no way they could've survived fighting all of these ghosts otherwise. At least the ones that were missing. Those two fighting together could probably individually take down Glacia or Ricky alone.

That's when it dawned on him.

"We have to let Glacia and Ricky out of their rooms."

Boofurd went silent at his brother's suggestion before cracking up laughing, "Ohohohohoho! That's a good one, Bro! But why don't you just leave the jokes to me and tell your real plan?

Fantom's determined face did not falter in the slightest at his brother's comment of obvious despair. This led Boofurd's pleading smile turn quickly to horror.

"Fantom, you can't be serious! We can't let any two ghosts leave their rooms like this! Especially these two!" Boofurd pleaded, shaking his disembodied hands together, "They'll turn this place into Hell mixed with Atlantis!"

"I kn-wait, Atlantis?" Fantom asked

"Isn't that the place with the Penguins?"

"That's Antarctica, you moron!" Fantom said, whacking his brother on the top of his head.

"Ow!" Boofurd shouted, before rubbing his head, "They're both A lettered continents!"

Fantom blinked before looking at him, "Atlantis isn't even a continent! It's underwater, and it was a city!"

"Whatever... Least I didn't think India was in Africa!" Boofurd said in retaliation.

"One time! That was one time!" Fantom shouted back. He placed his fingers on this forehead, "Look, if these two get killed here, we're gonna have to fight King Boo and his little accomplice all on our own. And you know we can't do that. The best shot we have is to let these two out of their rooms and get them to work together."

Boofurd looked down to the ground, clenching his fist together. He hated to admit it, especially with this dangerous of an idea, but his brother was right. This was the closest thing they had to a they weren't frozen and melted alive first. He gritted his teeth before speaking.

"Okay. Let's do this."

Luigi tried gripping the icy table in the room to help him get onto his feet. This was met with mixed results, as he had to muster up all of his remaining strength to make sure he did not slip and fall. His feet slid around everywhere. His shoes did not give enough friction to stop him from sliding on the ice. The poor plumer ended up with his grip slipping and busting his chin on the table.

Glacia simply looked at the poor man with a look of pity. She sighed, gesturing her hand at him, causing a gust of wind to blow him against the doorway. Luigi's eyes clenched shut, trying his best to protect him from the woman's harsh temperatured wind. When the wind finally stopped, the plumber slowly fluttered his eyes open. Within his field of vision, he could see Glacia bringing out something. A harp formed from within the winds near her,. She held it delicately within her grasp.

"Such a poor excuse for a human being. I see no reason to allow you in my presence." She lifted her hand and held her fingers lightly on the strings of the ice harp.

"Goodbye." And with that, she let go, letting the harp play a C , winds began pushing Luigi at the wall, pushing back the skin of his face. He couldn't close his eyes, so the immense pain of the harsh cold was the most apparent thing to him. Snow actually starting forming in the gusts of wind. And it was starting to get into his eyes, causing even more pain.

The last thing he was able to see in Glacia's room was a single spike of ice, sharper than anything else that appeared before it. And with that, it was sent right at Luigi.

Tails felt the scorch marks on his body singe his fur down to his skin. In fact, some parts of his fur were completely burnt off, revealing his peach colored skin. Well, it would be peach colored if he wasn't constantly getting burned. It was getting darker and darker with each moment in this fiery room.

"What a pathetic kid." Tails heard from the ghost as he was lifted by his tails and thrown against a wall. He spat up some blood from the impact. "Can't even handle a little Rock 'n' roll."

Tails lifted his head to look at Ricky. The Punk merely looked down upon the child. Why was he doing this? Tails knew that he was trespassing, but taking a beating like this-it felt like he had killed his parents or something. He tried to look into his white eyes, trying to figure out what was going on in his head. They said the eyes were the gateway to the soul… Then again, he was a soul. There was no need for a gateway.

"Ya got anything else to say before I go on my guitar solo?" He asked before hawking up some spit and spitting out lava on the floor.

Tails looked at him, his eyes barely able to be kept open. However, Ricky did indeed see his sky blue eyes, begging for mercy. They plead with the ghost. He could tell that he was begging for his life. A moment passed before the Punk Rocker decided to lift up his guitar pick to start his solo, but was interrupted by the kit's words.

"Please, sir-" Tails coughed up some blood, "I just want to find my friend… I-" Tails coughed up some more blood, "I love her…. With all my heart…" Tears began to form in his eyes, falling down his singed cheeks.

Ricky just looked at the fox with curious eyes. He was not expecting a response like that. He held a face of skeptic curiosity, "How old are ya kid?"

"... Eight." Tails coughed.

Eight. Eight years old. Just simply a child. And he found love? Well, it wasn't all too far fetched for him. After all, he knew his love back when he was had his whole life ahead of him. But if she was lost in this mansion…

"Kid… if you lost this girl, could you move on?" He asked.

Tails blinked once. He began to flash back to when he first lost Cosmo. Laying her life on the line for all of them. He remembered the utter despair he felt. He remembered how powerless and vulnerable he was to save her. He couldn't. He remembered the guilt he felt from having to fire at her. He couldn't even tell her that he loved her. He remembered the devastation he felt. He could not do anything in the short amount of time he did not have was a miracle she was brought back to them, but Tails legitamently did not know whether or not he could've gone on any longer without her. He shook his head no, giving the ghost his answer.

Ricky looked at Tails, his eyes slanting with pity. While he never left his room, he knew how the other residents of the mansion acted. Many of the ghosts just wanted to be left alone, and would lash out for being disturbed. Being honest, that's what he just did. While they could be reasoned with, that would have to wait until after they beat down on the poor unsuspecting person who entered, if they lived through the experience, that is. And if this girl as the boy's age… there is no doubt in his mind that she is long gone.

"Then…. Consider this a mercy, kid…" He lifted his guitar pick, ready to give him one last blast of sound.

"Okay, on the count of three! Ready, Boofurd!" Fantom yelled, loudly holding Glacia's door handle.

"Ready, Fantom!" Boofurd yelled to his brother, gripping the handle of Ricky's door with both of his disembodied hands.

"One!" Fantom gripped the handle of the doorknob as tightly as he could.

Luigi watched in horror as the icicle quickly approached his face.

"Two!" Fantom turned the doorknob slowly, readying to fling the doorway open.

Tails closed his eyes shut, after seeing Ricky strum his guitar.

"Three!"

And with that, the doors flung open. Many would describe the next events as Hell breaking loose, but that's not what these two would say. No, the description they would use is hell freezing over. Fire and brimstone blasted out of Ricky's room at a breakneck pace, with the walls around his door quickly transforming to that of his room. The same thing happened with Glacia's door. The walls around hers became cold and icy. The new wall textures spread until they both met at the door in the middle room, where they, began to clash. Ice began spreading through the molten rock wall, and lava began spewing through the two opposing elements went to war.

Both Tails and Luigi ended up smacking each other in the back, the wind of Glacia's room blowing Luigi, and the sound blast of Ricky's guitar sent the two together. Boofurd and Fantom noticed and immediately took action. They enveloped themselves around the two, doing their best to protect both Tails and Luigi from the harsh elements.

It wasn't long until the hallways started the shapeshift to accommodate the mixing of the rooms. The magic that was used to give ghosts their own area was released, and began affecting the whole house. The walls expanded, and opened up their rooms to one another, widening out so that they could give a larger room area for the clashing of the twin opposites. The ground around Boofurd, Fantom, Tails and Luigi began to collapse, leaving only a pillar for the two living beings to stand on. Below went on the war of fire and ice. Lava splashed on top of the ice, leaving brimstone in its wake, and wind blew overtop of the brimstone to turn it to ice.

Ricky looked around at the sudden 's as if his room exploded and then immediately went to war with another one. What was the cause of this? He looked around, seeing the fox kid with two other ghosts that looked like they were trying to suffocate him. And there was some guy propped up behind him. He looked at the new element, trying to inspect it closely. It was ice. Definitely ice. If he were alive, he would've joked that he just entered hell once Glacia's cold soul got there. It wasn't two seconds after he saw her face to realize that might've just been the case.

Glacia nearly died again of heatstroke. This new environment took her by surprise. However, her calm and cool headed actions had her have winds to blow onto her to keep her temperature down within the new warmth. After removing her attention from the control of her gusts, she moved her eyes to the plumber man who was being shrouded by purple energy. He was clearly still alive, but why? That icicle should have impaled his skull. As she wondered, she heard a voice that, for the first time since her death, caused her to flinch.

"You!" Ricky shouted, with anger. Glacia aimed her widened eyes towards him, not even so much as blinking in surprise. It was the delinquent. The one that stole her daughter from her. Five seconds later, her icy cold expression returned, coupled with a glance of disdain.

"Hmph. Well, well, if it isn't Mr. Ricardo. And here I was, thinking my afterlife could be freed from someone like you interrupting me." She exclaimed, deterring her glance to her fingernails, making sure they're up to snuff.

Ricky's fists clenched tightly. His jaw gritted so hard that he could swear he cracked a tooth, if not multiple. "I could say the same thing about you, ya old hag!"

Glacia huffed, "Well, I never-"

"Don't give me that bologna!" Ricky interrupted, "You've always heard me talk to you like that!"

While the two ghosts caught up on old fights, Fantom and Boofurd separated from Tails and Luigi. The two purple ghosts looked around the newly formed arena that was crafted from the twin elements. Fantom's eyes were wide, taking in the mixed room. When Boofurd said they'd turn this place into Hell mixed with Atlant-Er, Antarctica, he thought he meant their fight. But no, their rooms exploded out, and went to the war that these two ghosts were about to go to. It made sense now that he thought about it. The rooms were an extension of themselves, through magic.

Boofurd slapped Tails and Luigi's cheeks together, trying to wake the two sidekicks up. They both were unconscious from the attacks they received, but both of them seemed to be alive. Their hearts beating, their lungs breathing, and everything like that. But they were still knocked out.

"Come on, come on, wake up, Green Cap! Wake up, Two Tail!" Boofurd said, shaking the both of them. Fantom took a second to look back at the three of them before returning his attention to the ghosts.

"Well, of course I have. You were always a commoner street rat, with a hopeless dream that led to nowhere…" Glacia said, pulling out a fingernail file made of ice from the cold wind, doing her nails while she spoke. She gently blew on her nails while Ricky retorted.

"Hopless?! Nowhere?! We toured across the entire country! We went to countless concerts, singing the music we wanted to sing, and made thousands, if not millions of dollars!" Ricky remembered every vivid detail about the concerts they went to. They were his passion, his life, along with his beloved.

"Yes, thousands or millions of dollars that went to giving your wife a loving home and settling down to raise your children." Glacia snarked, "Oh, wait, that didn't happen. You merely continued to go on pointless tours until she passed. God rest her soul." Glacia did not care for such a life style. Living in a tour bus , having to stop at every filthy gas station along the way, eating fast "food." The thought of that lifestyle made her sick, and made her even sicker knowing that's how her daughter had to live.

"And who says she wanted to settle down?! She was in her prime with me and Zeke! We were one big happy rock'n'roll family!" Ricky shouted.

"Are you sure about Zeke? When did the child make his decision? When he was an infant? How was the child to make a decision when he couldn't form a single word?" Glacia spat. This was true. They never truly gave young Zeke a choice. They didn't actually own a house until Ricky quit the band and used his share of his money to buy a house.

"He learned how to talk, just like you or me-"

"Oh, hardly like moi." Glacia interrupted.

Ricky growled at the interruption, "If he had a problem with how we did things, he was welcome to speak up about it. He never did because he loved it, just like she did!"

"Hmph. Most likely because he was brainwashed into it. You give a child only one environment, they'll never think of whether or not there's another."

Ricky smiled smugly, "You so sure about that one, 'Ma?' Your daughter seemed to be great at exploring other envirments."

Glacia's eyes widened at this statement. This was true as well. Her entire life, the only life she gave her daughter was the same one she had. And yet she seemed to find an entirely different path than her own. A path of anarchy, and filth, as she looked at it.

Fantom studied both parties as they fought verbally. He knew it wouldn't be long until the fight escalated to a physical one. Or rather, a non-physical one, due to the fact that they were ghosts.

"Green Cap! Fantom, Green Cap's waking up!" Boofurd said. Fantom looked behind him to see Luigi, groaning himself awake.

For Luigi, the world was dizzy, and blurry. There were two colors for him right now. Red and blue. He wasn't sure why, though he did just wake up. His brain wasn't able to react to anything, until he started getting shaken awake.

"Greeeen Caaaaap! Waaaake uuuup!" Boofurd yelled, shaking him awake. This jolted Luigi wide awake. He quickly got a look of his surroundings. Along with the purple ghost that was currently trying to wake him up. He actually got a really good close up of the ghost. And a good smell too. Somehow, ghosts were still able to emit smelly ones at that.

"Back off, Boofurd! You're gonna give him a heart attack!" Fantom yelled. The red eyed ghost studied Luigi as the plumer tried to gain his thoughts. Luigi blinked a couple of times, finally seeing Boofurd and Specks. He jumped back a bit, before noticing the new location he was in. He took in the strange new room. In the background, he heard arguing. He looked to where the vocal fighting was coming from, and saw the ice woman that he was fighting, along with a man who appeared to be on fire.

"You watch your tounge, street rat!" Glacia shouted, after hearing the insults that Ricky threw at her, "I'll never understand why my beloved daughter ran away with you!"

"Maybe it's because she-Oh, I don't know, actually loved me?" Ricky spat lava at the floor below, where it managed to burn the ice before being engulfed by its surroundings.

Glacia breathed angrily through her nose, nearly forming icicles from the cold temperature, "She loved me with all of her heart. Why else do you think she cried all those nights when you and I fought?"

Ricky remained silent, not having a snappy comeback to the old woman's remark. That was something he noticed back when they were all alive. She did seem to cry a lot whenever they fought.

"Besides that," Glacia continued, catching Ricky's attention, "I'm her course she loves me. What I want to know is what she saw in such a filthy man like yourself."

Ricky gritted his teeth, "Maybe what she saw was a life beyond those fancy schmancy walls of that mansion! Maybe she wanted to get out from under your controlling little life! Nothing but tea and crumpets, having to do everything at a schedule!"

Glacia blinked for a second. She glanced down , placing her index finger and thumb on her chin."Hmm…, I suppose, you're right..."

Ricky blinked in surprise, his eyes widened to the extreme. She.. admitted he was right? For once in his life-no, his entire existence?

Luigi had little to no idea what was going on. He clearly was missing important information to the two ghost's conversation. He could tell that they were fighting over… a girl? That's what it seemed like. Luigi was a tad bit curious what happened prior to this conversation.

"Green cap!" Boofurd said to the man, snapping his fingers in front of his face, Luigi screamed, jolting back a bit even further. However, this time, his hand met with nothing, and he fell backwards, off of the pillar he was on. Fantom jumped quickly and caught the plumber by the ankle before he could fall. Luigi screamed even louder than before, looking at the height of the fall.

Phantom lifted him up and back onto the pillar, right next to Tails. He looked at the purple ghost that saved him, and realized he was one of the three ghosts from looked to his side to see the other ghost along with him as well. He glanced around frantically, looking for the third ghost, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Green Cap! You okay?" The ghost with no arms asked. Luigi jumped a little, but nodded.

"That's a relief." Fantom said, "Without you, we couldn't fight Ricky and Glacia."

Luigi blinked, looking back at the two ghosts arguing above them. Ricky and Glacia were there names?Well, he could understand Glacia, considering her thing with the cold at all, but who was Ricky, exactly? The ghost in the room Tails went in? Luigi's eyes widened when he remembered Tails. He looked around, seeing Tails' body lying on the pillar next to him.

"Tails!" Luigi shouted, lifting up the kit's body. He seemed to be burnt and badly hurt. But still breathing. He was alive, but for how long?

"Man, Ricky did a number on Two Tail." Boofurd said, looking over the fox. Luigi glanced up at Tail? Did he mean Tails?Probably. I mean, he had two tails, but what an odd name. He woulda guessed that they'd call him something like fox kid.

"Green Cap!" Fantom yelled, "Do you think you can wake him up?"

Luigi looked at Fantom and took a quick glance at Tails before looking back to him, "Um… m-maybe… why?"

Out of the corner of Luigi's ears, he picked back up on the conversation between Glacia and Ricky.

"Yes.. yes, I do believe you could be right. I mean, after all, a life outside of the walls I supposedly imprisoned her in could be the reason why she flocked to you…" Glacia said, slowly turning herself away from him.

Ricky Flamez could not believe what he was hearing. Glacia Freeze, the woman who had a heart made of ice, was actually admitting that she was a cruel prison warden, and that her daughter was a prisoner. At least, that's what it was perceived as to Ricky. A cocky smile began to form on his face.

"Haha! You finally admit it! There's more to life than having everything given to you on a silver platter! Oh, if only she was here to see you say that!" Ricky shouted happily.

"Oh, yes, quite. After all, that would only mean she wanted to see the world." Glacia said, coldly, "She never really loved you, she only wanted to use you, and as a result, was settled on your back until the end of her life. Oh, now I just feel bad for her."

Ricky stayed silent, his smile vanishing within an instant, and his wide eyes narrowing. Within his mouth, his teeth clenched so hard that he swore he broke a tooth. He gripped his fist tightly, holding the guitar pick inside of his hand. Suddenly, the room began to roar. Lava began boiling, causing waves to ripple throughout the arena. Waves that overtook the ice quickly. The ice tried to fight back, but it could not form in time of the lava destroying it.

"Of course, you would say that…" Ricky whispered. He loosened his grip on his guitar pick and raised it into the air, and held his guitar in his other hand.

"You cold… heartless… BITCH!" And with that, he brought his hand down, which created a shockwave that erupted the entire room in fire and brimstone.

Luigi, Boofurd and Fantom managed to hear every word that came out of the two ghost's mouths. They saw as the room began to shake and rumble with the fire's retaliation. Within these shakes, Tails slowly regained consciousness, trying to wake up once more.

"That's why." Boofurd said, with his white eyes widened.

"Wh-what's going on?!" Luigi shouted.

Tails blinked his eyes a couple of times before finally noticing what felt to be an earthquake. He jumped up and screamed, which proved to be a bad idea, as he was sore from Ricky's earlier punishment.

"Glacia pushed Ricky's last button." Fantom explained, with Tails hearing it out of earshot. He was unsure who it was, but he swore that it sounded familiar. He looked around to see the two purple ghosts from before. His eyes widened looking at the one who took Cosmo. He was right next to them! But he wasn't attacking. He was just floating there. Was that him who talked just then? To Luigi? Why was this ghost talking to Luigi?

Fantom quickly turned around to look at Luigi, and shouted, "Listen up, Green Cap, you and Two Tail gotta take advantage of this!"

'Wait… did he just say…' Tails thought to himself, studying the purple ghost

"These two are gonna keep fighting until they kill each other!" Fantom continued.

"Which is gonna take forever, since they can't really die." Boofurd interrupted.

"So while they're fighting, you and Two Tail suck 'em up using those vacuums!" Suddenly, a blast of meteorites smacked Boofurd away from the pedestal they were on.

"Shoot!" Fantom yelled, looking towards his brother, "Me and Boofurd'll keep you covered with Shadow Balls. It's you two that gotta finish it off!"

With that, Fantom floated away to his brother, not letting up on speed. Luigi began panicking, looking all around the room as it seemed to explode with lava. Tails blinked a couple of times, before trying to stand up on his own two feet. He began to take in the room of the warring elements, with Fire seeming to be dominating the playing field.

Luigi glanced away from where the two ghosts flew off to to look at Tails' unconscious body, only to find that he was very conscious, "Tails!"

"Luigi… what the heck's going on?" Tails asked, legitimately concerned.

Luigi blinked a second, before trying to think of a way to explain what was happening, when even he didn't fully know. Luckily for him, a Fireball flew right past his head, distracting them from Tails' question. Unluckily for him, a Fireball flew past his head, nearly taking his head off of his body.

Both sidekicks looked up to see Ricky throwing fireballs constantly at Glacia. Fireball after fireball, all of them in an attempt to hit the old woman, nearly each one of them missing entirely. He screamed obscenities that Tails didn't fully understand. Luigi did, though. Instinctively, he covered the fox's ears, which caused Tails pain from the singes on his fur.

"You! Cold! Heartless! Bitch! I! Will! Burn! You! To! The! Ground!" Ricky shouted, throwing fireballs in between each word.

Glacia dodged each fireball effortlessly, which only caused Ricky to get angrier and angrier. He was giving it his all against her, and while his room seemed to be effortlessly burning her domain, he could not singe a single hair on her old scalp.

Glacia huffed to herself before speaking in a cold tone, "Impudent whelp."

Suddenly, several icicles began to form around her, and began deflecting the fireballs that were hurled towards her. After Ricky's barrage was over, she pointed them all towards him, and fired them off, all at once. Ricky quickly pulled out his guitar and raised his pick before bringing his hand down across the strings. This caused a violent blast of sound to echo across the entire room, and vibrate off of the shattered Glacia's icicle projectiles. The massive sound pained everyone in the room. Luigi ripped his hands off of Tails' head and put them on his own ears. Tails' eyes went cross eyed at the massive sound, nearly deafening him. After the sound settled down, the room went quiet, save for the bubbling magma and cold winds in the room.

"Oh, what awful racket…"Glacia muttered to herself, "That's not even music."

Ricky was able to hear Glacia's muttering from the other side of the room. He gripped his guitar in one hand lightly. He suddenly ignited his feet to provide a boost of energy, propelling him forwards to Glacia. He raised his guitar, intending to strike her down with it, like a sword, or a bat, or a lead pipe.

"How! Dare! You! Insult! OUr! Favorite! Music!" He shouted, striking her in between each word. Glacia got barraged with smacks form a flaming guitar that was on fire. And it was hurting her badly. Within the barrage, however, she was able to pull out something from the icy wind. An Ice harp. She pulled it around and used it as a shield from Ricky's guitar.

Ricky did not let up. Not one bit whatsoever. His rage consumed him, as he was covered head to toe in his flames. Glacia knew she could not hold him off for much longer. So, in one last ditch effort to get him away, she pulled her arm around to the front of the harp. She strummed the harp's strings elegantly, causing a similar shockwave as Ricky did earlier. He was sent flying back into the wall.

Tials and Luigi watched as the whole thing happened, trying to cover their shattered eardrums in the kept his eyes on Ricky, while Luigi had Glacia. Tails blinked as he saw an opportunity to capture pulled out his flashlight and held his vacuum hose in the other. He quickly shined his light at Ricky, which managed to hit him despite being so far away. Ricky winced in pain at this, looked to where the light was shining form. It as that ox from earlier. Quickly, Tails dropped the flashlight and began using the poltergust to vacuum him up. Unfortunately for Tails, he was too far away from the ghost to bring him in effectively.

"You stay out of this, kid!" He shouted angrily. Quickly, he blasted from the wall in a burst of flames. He rammed right into the pedestal that the two were on, making it collapsed beneath their feet. Ricky could care less what happened to either one of them right now. He couldn't care what happened to anyone right now. Except for Glacia. He blasted right towards her and began striking her again and again with his guitar. This time, however, she was far more prepared, blocking every single strike effortlessly.

Tails and Luigi fell to the ground below. They were either going to burn to death in lava or freeze to splatter on the ice. Luigi inctincivly began screaming. Tails instinctively began twirling his tails in an attempt to fly, which was extremely hard to do with all of the burn marks on his body. His tails got twisted up in each other, and as he tried to untwist them, he finally noticed Luigi. Quickly, Tails tried to fall towards luigi, while getting his tails untied. He held his hand out to him, calling his name.

"Luigi!"

The plumber heard the call. He glanced up to the fox, pausing his screaming temporarily. He reached for Tails' hand and grippd it tightly. Tails continued to try to untwist his tails, but to no avail. They were stuck together Tails and Luigi looked to the ground to see their doom approach them rapidly. Was this the end?

Without warning, a gust of purple flew by through the both of them, sending them both across the landscape below. Their impact was lessened massively. The sidekicks groaned as they got up off of the ground. Tails looked to see what the heck happened. His eyes widened when he saw the same purple ghost form before. The one who kidnapped Cosmo!

"Boofurd!" He shouted, Tails perfectly understanding him, "I saved them! Start the barrage!"

After Phantom's order, several balls of shadow flew from the walls and struck both Glacia and two had to block not only the new shots, but each other's as well. They did not let up, at all. Phantom turned to both Tails and Luigi, Tails who was very surprised, and Luigi, who was very dizzy.

"You two better shape up and catch those two before they kill you!" He barked, "We'll cover you, but you gotta do something about them!"

He quickly floated away from the two of them. Tails Blinked, and got to his feet. He ran towards the ghost, shouting, "Wait! Stop! What did you do with-"

Before Tails could finish his sentence, the ghost faded out into the walls. More balls of shadow began firing off at random points to the other two ghosts.

"... Cosmo…"

Luigi got off of his feet, and looked at Tails, his eyes slanted with worry. Suddenly, a bright light shined up in the room, where Glacia and Ricky were two assumed that it was Ricky, igniting himself to the point of being a sun, but it wasn't. Instead, Glacia had encased herself in an icy cocoon. Ricky was indeed ignited, but the light from Ricky reflected off of and through Glacia, like a prism. Ricky barraged through the ice, not letting up one bit. As Ricky shouted more obscenities, Glacia burst the cocoon wide open, sending Ricky off into the ground below. She now had a piano made of ice in front of her. She clasped her fingers in between one another and cracked her knuckles. She pulled them apart and began playing the piano. Within her elegant music, pathways of ice began to form all around her. Stairways were made with elegant designs all across them, with walkways held together with railing. Eventually, the entire room began to become filled with ice and snow. Until the entire room was filled with nothing but the cold substance, no trace of fire anywhere.

At least, that was how it was until Ricky blasted up towards her again.

His screams of rage shattered the pathways and the ice covering the walls. They stayed close to one another, but remained shattered. Almost as if they were floating in space. Form the cracks on the walls, geysers of lava flowed out, erupting onto the floor, which began to melt the ice. Quickly, the floor became covered in lava, with platforms of ice barely remaining. He began to strike Glacia again and again, but this time bouncing off of her with each strike, only to turn around and slam his guitar against her again. Slam, bounce off, repeat. Slam, bounce off, repeat. Alongside this strategy, blasts of black energy shot out at the both of them, doing damage with each blast, but not enough to end the fight.

Tails and Luigi looked up at the ongoing were fighting these two one on one earlier, and this is what they were capable of? It was a miracle they weren't killed. Luigi gulped at the thought. Meanwhile, Tails' mind was more… crowded. He knew one thing was for sure, though. They had to stop this fight before they both were killed. He reached back to try and grab his flashlight for the fight. But then he realized. It wasn't there! He dropped it when Ricky destroyed the pillar they were on.

"My Flashlight…" Tails muttered. He looked around the room, trying to locate it, "Where'd my flashlight go?"

Luigi heard the fox's question, snapping him out of the thought of being annihilated by these two. He glanced around the room, trying to help find it with Tails. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted it. It was sitting on an ice platform in the middle of the new sea of lava. Which was melting quickly.

"Tails! Over there!" Luigi pointed towards it. Tails looked over to where Luigi was pointing. Over on top of the ice platform was indeed his flashlight.

"No problem. I can get that. All I need to do is-" Tails stopped midsentence when he realized his plan couldn't , he'd just fly over and pick it up, but he couldn't right now. His tails were still tied together. He glanced down to his tails with a worrisome look plastered on his face.

"... Fly over and get it." Tails said in a defeated tone.

Luigi shared Tails' worrisome look. Now what were they going to do? Another blast of light exploded in the room, this time sending Glacia over to the other side of the room, pinning her against the wall. Ricky flew right over to her, and slammed his feet on the wall, blocking her from escaping.

"How's it feel to lose out to me, again, you heartless bitch?" Ricky told her in a dangerously cold tone. He ignited his guitar so that the base was completely on fire, it burning with his hatred for her. For giving her daughter nothing but grief for her decisions. For taking his daughter, only to have her die off in her own backyard. For everything. She chose him over Glacia. Her own daughter chose the man she loved over her own mother. The thought of that made him laugh maniacally.

On the flip side, Glacia's hatred for this man was passionate, but she, unlike him, did not let it consume her. But his words stang. She truly did choose this man over her own mother. This street rat. She couldn't bare to see how her daughter threw her life away with this man. So she distanced herself. Tried to make herself cold, and let it go. While it turned her into a cold heartless woman, he turned himself into a psychopath filled with rage. Ricky began violently beating down on her once more with his guitar, not letting up whatsoever. Each strike damaged her harp more and more.

Luigi saw this. His mind raced, with his heart beating quickly in fear. He glanced up at them, and back down at Tails' flashlight. He gripped his gloved hands tightly around his poltergust, unknowingly pressing each button on the nozzle. Tails couldn't reach it before it hit the lava… He wished that Mario were here. If he were, then the red plumber could just jump on over to it, and grab it before it fell. Then, it hit him. An idea. An idea that he was surprised he thought of.

Maybe he could do it.

He's been following Mario all these years. While he was sloppy when it came to a lot of things Mario could do, he could keep up with his brother, in spite of his cowardly nature. He raised his hand in front of him, looking down at it to see that it was clenched in a fist. It as not shaking with fear, nor from the cold. It was completely still. He glanced over to the flashlight once more, with a face filled with determination.

He took two steps backwards, giving him enough room to get a running start. Tails looked back at Luigi, with a curious, but still worried look.

"Luigi?" He asked.

Luigi did not answer. He merely clenched both his hands into fists and began his dash. His stomps on the ground were loud, echoing throughout the entire room. After three loud, powerful steps, he bent his leg and sprang up into the air. Tails gasped as he saw Luigi jump. The plumber let his instincts take over, as he landed on a platform of ice. He saw the ice platform that the flashlight was on, and saw that it was melting away. He only had one shot at this. Within the split second that he was on the first platform, he jumped immediately to the next, reaching higher heights than the last jump.

He glanced down to see that there was not a platform of ice below him this time. Only a slimmer of cooled lava, able to be stood upon. But only enough for a single foot to stand on. As he descended from his peak height, he looked up to see the shattered pieces of the walkways made of ice. Still in several pieces. He knew exactly what to do. He landed on the platform with a single step and leaped off of it, reaching even higher than before. He quickly approached the shards of ice that floated in the room. He somersaulted quickly before hitting them, landing on two individual shards, with his feet. He aimed himself towards the flashlight to see that the platform was nearly melted away, with the flashlight barely on it.

With a near burst of energy, he jumped off of the shards, headed directly for the flashlight. The ice cap melted quickly as the plumber approached. Tails watched with his eyes as wide as they could be. Within luigi's mind, he realized that if he messed this up, he was a goner. The thought terrified him. But it was their only chance. He stuffed his fears deep inside of him to let out for later and reached his hand out towards the flashlight.

He grabbed gripped it tightly in his hands. But the ice cap was melted by the time he gripped the lighting equipment. He was able to hold the ice cube or its remains in his hand along with it. Within a split second, he was nearly done for. However, within his other hand he held the one thing that could save him. His poltergust. He aimed it towards the lava in a desperate attempt to cool it down before he was burnt to death. However, something odd happened instead. Instead of cooling it down, he was sent upwards!

One of the buttons, unknowing to both Luigi and Tails, was reversing the stream that the poltergust could function in, being able to suck, and blow! Luigi was sent upwards, off balance. He glanced over to Tails to see him watching with amazement.

"Tails! Catch!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. He raised his arm and threw the flashlight over to Tails, using all of his strength he could muster in his arm. The flashlight flew over Tails' head and hit the icy floor behind him, not falling anywhere into the lava. However, suddenly, geysers began erupting from under the ice, which startled Tails. The fox jumped out of its path, and made his way over to the flashlight that Luigi had courageously saved.

Luigi looked back to Ricky and Glacia, who were in the same exact situation as before. Only this time, with Glacia getting tired, and unable to strum her harp to blast Ricky away.

"Ricardo Flames, stop this instant!" She shouted, "You can't kill a ghost, you imbecile! That's what we are! We are ghosts! Both of us denied of the same person!"

This was true. The woman that caused them to feud like this was gone as well, and they followed suit six years later. Neither one of them meeting with the woman they loved so dearly.

"You're right, Glacia…I can't kill you..." He growled, "But I can burn you. I can burn your damned soul for all of time! All eternity! You denied me my wife! My love! My heaven! So I'm going to be your HELL!"

He raised his guitar high, it burning to the point where it was nearly a supernova. This could not kill her, or end her existence. No, it was just going to hurt and burn. And he knew that.

Luigi thinking quickly, pulled out his own flashlight and flashed it right on the two of them. Both of them paused, and winced in pain as their hearts exposed. A surprising sight to the both of them. Luigi then pressed the button on his poltergust to start sucking once more, and began using it for that very purpose. He brought them both apart quickly, with them both now in the air. They both tried to escape from the gusts of wind pulling them in, and managed to do so. Luigi, now listening to the main law of gravity, began falling. He managed to land on a large enough floating ice shard to support his weight.

Glacia began breathing heavily, recuperating from Ricky's attack. Quickly, she began using her ice powers to heal herself from the burns that Ricky gave her, and cool herself down from the massive heat.

Ricky on the other hand stood on the walls of the room, confused as to what just happened. He saw something inside of Glacia. It looked like a heart. But that was impossible! Someone like her couldn't have a heart! Could they? He did not know this was merely how ghosts worked, and when shined with a bright light quickly, they revealed their hearts, which could be sucked up by poltergusts. His mind was so muddled that he began to take such things at face value.

Tails watched the whole thing unfold. He looked over at Ricky, who remained standing on the wall.

Tails watched the whole thing unfold. He looked over at Ricky, who remained standing on the wall, merely looking on in confusion. His sight never removed itself from Ricky, which in turn, never removed his sight form Glacia. A Ball of Shadow emerged from the curving wall to his right, striking him harshly. Reacting violently, his guitar erupted in a blaze as he struck the wall next to him, causing a crack in the wall that split it wide open. Suddenly, Phantom flew out of the wall, followed shortly by burst geysers of lava.

Ricky jumped from his position and flew directly towards Glacia. He held his guitar behind him, ready to bring it forwards to strike her. Glacia saw this and reacted appropriately. She began flying away from Ricky, holding her harp close in hand, ready to block him. Ricky brought his guitar forwards, missing Glacia entirely. When he brought it forwards, a geyser of lava erupted from the ground, and encased Ricky in its warmth. He burst out from the geyser of lava, doing the same thing over and over to Glacia, who merely kept on dodging his attacks. In fact, she used her ice powers to cool down the lava mid-spurt, creating pillars of stone that reached to the walls. She intended to use this to block him from his continuous attacks, giving her all the cover she needed. However, this proved to be a fruitless task, as Ricky merely smashed through all of the stone pillars he made.

Tails watched as the chaos took over the room, and the war between fire and ice raged on. He glanced up to the giant slit in the wall that the purple ghost came from. He hadn't retreated back into the wall. He was still out there, throwing energy spheres out at the two fighting ghosts. Tails gripped his flashlight tightly. If he wanted to catch that ghost, he'd need higher ground. He looked around, and his eyes landed on the only piece of green in the room, Luigi. He stood on some of the few remaining pieces of floating ice in the room. The plumber had to jump off and land on one of the pillars of lava that Ricky and Glacia made together. However, it could not stand for very long, as it began crumbling down. It broke off at the base, which Luigi was very far from. It fell until it hit another pillar, making a small bridge-like structure. It was then that Tails had an idea.

He looked around to the closest pillar he was at, which was remarkably close. He walked up to it and examined it closely. He noticed there were cracks all around it, and there appeared to be ice forming inside of the cracks. No doubt a subtle attack from that ice ghost. Tails took a step back, and with all of his might, rammed himself into the pillar. He did it again, and again, until the pillar could not take it anymore, and it began to follow suit of luigi's pillar. It fell over, hitting the slanted walls of the room. Tails, taking his chance, began to climb up the pillar, standing on his own two feet. He held his arms to his sides to help balance himself out.

"Such an annoying, irresponsible, imputent-" Glacia shouted, as she tried to block all of Ricky's moves. She was interrupted by a pillar of lava jumping out from behind her back, with Ricky jumping out of it before Glacia's cooling techniques could freeze him inside of it. Not that it would have mattered, since he was a ghost and could just phase through things.

"Little Prick! Huh!? Is that what you were going to say?!" He shouted angrily at her.

She gasped at him, "I would never resort to using such foul language such as a commoner as yourself."

"Oh, no, but you think it all the time, don't'cha?!" He shouted back at her. Glacia spat in his face.

"You think you're going to be my own personal hell? You've already given that to me when you took away my daughter." She hissed at him.

"Yeah, well, welcome to the damn club, you old bitch!" He swore at her, raising his guitar for one final swing to shut her mouth for good. He was going to use whatever ghostly powers he could to melt her lips shut so that she could never speak another word to him, or anyone else, ever again. His guitar burned white as he raised it for his final swing. It was then that he saw it again.

A heart inside of Glacia.

It wasn't just Glacia. He had a heart inside of him too. He could feel it. And it hurt. It hurt like hell. The two reflexively jumped back in pain, with Glacia outright destroying the pillar of stone formed behind her. The both of them looked to where they once were, only to see a light being flashed upwards at where they were. He glanced downwards to see a man in a green hat to have been shining a light up at them.

"Are you're gonna pay for that, you green di-" Ricky was about to swear, but was interrupted by a gust of wind jerking him away. He looked down to see what exactly had him. He saw the fox kid from earlier, holding a vacuum cleaner up at him, sucking him in with massive gusts of wind. Was he actually vacuuming him up?! He swore under his breath, words that Tails luckily could not hear, due to the massive air blasts from the Poltergust.

Glacia saw the entire event before her. The plumber shined her with a light, and now some sort of twin tailed mongrel as pulling him into a cortex, which led to a vacuum cleaner. This was certainly not ever what she expected to happen. She looked down to see the green plumber intending to do the same thing to her as the animal was doing to Ricky. Grimacing, she held her fingers on the strings of her harp, and let do, sending a massive blast of ice down onto the plumber. He jumped out of the way just before it struck him, landing on another pillar.

"Imputent fool! I will not allow myself to be bested by fools such as yourselves!" She shouted at them. It was then that she was blasted in the back by a blast of black energy.

She was sent spiralling forwards, into the same vortex that Ricky was stuck in. This caused Tails to have a harder time with capturing Ricky. It was hard enough to catch one ghost at a time, let alone two. Tails was just about to fly off of the pillar he was on, barely able to keep his feet on solid land.

Luigi saw this. Tails couldn't handle much had to jump in and help. He looked to the pillar Tails was on. It was a few jumps away from where he was. But he had to make it in a single jump. There was no other land he could land directly on. Any other pillars were to high for him to jump on top of, or too vertical to stand on. Unless...

"I TOLD YOU TO STAY OUT OF THIS, FOX!" Ricky shouted, lighting up his guitar brightly, intending to throw a blast of heat at him. Thanks to Glacia's new presence in the stream, Tails couldn't get a handle on Ricky like he had before, which was enough for him to make a counter attack. And he looked like he was charging one up too.

Luigi knew what he had to do. It was now or never. He shifted his weight, allowing the pillar he was on to crumble and fall forwards. At the peak of its distance, as high and far as it could be, Luigi jumped and flew through the air, spinning around, somersaulting. He uncurled upside down, and landed his foot on a horizontal pillar that he couldn't have landed on top of. Using that momentum, he bust downwards, aiming for the closest vertical pillar he could. He landed both of his feet on there, before jumping off of that one to the next one. He jumped off of one more, and pulled out his poltergust aiming it right at Ricky, who was about to throw his miniature sun at Tails.

"TIME TO DIE!" He shouted, turning his guitar to throw the sphere of fire at Tails. However, just then, Luigi turned on his hose and began pulling Ricky into his stream. This set off Ricky's flying balance, and made him throw the sphere somewhere else entirely. It caused a massive explosion, that nearly broke the concentration of the two sidekicks. But they held their ground, they did not give up, no matter what. Luigi landed right behind Tails, and pulled his hose to the other side of the rom, reeling in Ricky like a fish on a hook. The two sidekicks now back to back, knew what they had to do. Just suck in each ghost, and not fail. The two of them back up so close to each other, that their poltergusts did something that neither one of them expected.

They fused.

Linking up like they were earlier, their individual Poltergust two thousand and ones became the Poltergust four thousand and two! Now, together, their gusts increased tenfold, pulling in even energy attacks, like the shadow spheres that the two purple ghosts were throwing at them. Despite this new surge of power, it was hard for them to contain, and they still had to focus on the individual targets they were facing. This was no problem whatsoever for Luigi. Tails, on the other hand, was a different story.

In his sights was the purple ghost that kidnapped Cosmo. He was trapped in the vortex, barely able to move from his position in the air. Glacia couldn't move both were floating there Unable to move. Tails' eyed the purple ghost, as he tried to escape. If he captured him, he could question what he did with Cosmo, and find out where she was! But for it to work, he had to capture him. Which was hard, since the poltergust for some reason could only handle one ghost at a time.

Right?

Ricky shouted obscenities as Luigi continued his suction. He did not let up. Not one bit. Ricky looked at the plumbers face and saw his determination. He looked deep into his blue eyes and saw something he hadn't seen in a long time. Someone who was determined to not let go. Not to lose a fight. Someone who was terrified, but had the resolve to do what they set their mind to. Just like the woman he loved so dearly. His anger melted away, his flames dying out in the gusts that pulled him in. He let go of his anger for a split second to see the woman he loved in his memories. All triggered by Luigi.

Tails continued sucking in both ghosts, neither one of them was like holding onto two sharks with the same fishing rod. Tails tried to think of what to do. He let the ice ghost go and she'd end up freezing them both on the spto. He let the purple one go, and he might not get another chance to save his beloved. He tried to think of what to do. It was then that he had an idea.

Tails placed both of his hands on the nozzle of the poltergust, and lifted it up over his head. This caused both Glacia and Fantom to be released ever so slightly. Glacia planned a counterattack, ready to strike Tails with a shard of ice. Fantom saw this, and readied a ball of shadow to obliterate the piercing object.

Tails then brought both of his hands, and by extension, the nozzle of the poltergust, down quickly, causing a new surge of wind to bring them both downwards. He brought his hands up and to the left, having them follow suit of the wind. He brought them to the right, having them follow suit again. This was more than just fishing. This was controlling the current of water to have the fish come to you. Tails figured this out. And pulled in Glacia.

Luigi held Ricky in too. They both had the ghosts of fire and ice in their vacuums, neither letting go. They slowly, but surely were crammed inside of the vacuum cleaner's nozzles. When Ricky was completely inside, Luigi turned off his poltergust. But not looked behind himself to see if he was having trouble with wasn't having any trouble with Glacia. She was already inside of the vacuum.

It was Fantom he was having trouble with.

"Stop! Stop! Green Cap! Get him to stop!" Fantom shouted. Luigi jumped when he heard Fantom's pleads. He was unable to do anything about it either. The event happened too quickly for him to properly react with anything other than shock.

"Two Tail! Stop!" Fantom shouted to Tails as his foot got caught in the poltergust.

"You're making…" His entire lower torso got clogged inside of the machine.

"A big…" His spiky ears, and arm were pulled in.

"Mistaaaaake!" Fantom shouted as he was finally brought inside of the machine. Luigi gasped as the ghost was finally sucked up. With the victory secured, Tails turned off the poltergust. Their poltergusts defused, and unhooked from each other, separating the Poltergust four thousand and two into two two thousand and ones.

"Whoo-Hoo! We did it! We caught the ghost that kidnapped Cosmo!" Tails shouted gleefully, jumping up into the air. Luigi did not partake in the celebration Tails was having. While, yes, Luigi was scared of ghosts, he was very unsure of what to make about the three purple he knew is that they knew about something bigger to this whole mansion mess.

Slowly, the room of fire and ice began to shrink. It began to be reshaped back to what it was earlier, not resembling anything like the battlefield it was before. The ice and lava faded out of existence.

Tails smiled largely, excited about finally getting somewhere in this whole mansion mess. He jumped up and down, shouting to Luigi.

"This is great, Luigi! Now with this dumb old ghost in our hands, we can interrogate him and finally figure out where Cosmo is! And why he kidnapped her!" The fox looked to Luigi, who did not share his happy face. His was more confused and scared. This, in turn, caused Tails' smile to quickly fade, and look more concerned for his friend.

"Luigi…?" He asked him, in a concerned tone.

Luigi snapped back from his thoughts, looking down at Tails, "Oh, I-I'm sorry, Tails… uh... what is it you were saying?"

Tails blinked at him a few times before realizing what exactly was on Luigi's mind, or at least assuming he figured it out, "Oh, I'm sorry Luigi. I was just thinking back to how brave you were back there!"

Luigi blinked, "... what?"

"Yeah! How you just jumped across the battlefield to grab my flashlight! And how you just shined it on those two ghosts! That was really cool, and super brave of you!" Tails praised, thinking that Luigi was dealing with some kind of post adrenaline rushed Luigi.

"Oh, uh… yeah…. Um...you think maybe we should go and, uh...see that Crystal girl again, or whatever? Didn't she say something about catching three other ghosts or whatever it was?"

Tails blinked before looking down at his poltergust. He nodded before looking back up t Luigi.

"Yeah, I think she did say something like that. We should go and check. Come on." Tails responded. He began walking down the hallway, with Luigi following suit. Both of their minds wandered around in different places, both going through the events that just happened in their heads it themselves.

Little did they know, from the shadows, they were being watched.

"He did it…" Boofurd muttered, a tear rolling down his cheek, "He took my brother…"

18,000 words. That's how many this chapter has. 18,000.

This... is a crap ton. And a lot of swearing. Despite me not wanting a lot of swearing in this story. Eh, it was all for Ricky. He needed to express himself.

But this was.. certainly something that took up a lot of effort. And it's not even the end. Oh, no. There's more to this story. I'm not dead yet, and even when I am, I'll still be working on this thing. As a ghost. Tails and Luigi will probably suck me up. Actually, no, that'd be Wlauigi. He has a poltergust now too.

But yeah. This was my plan the whole time with all of those other ghosts. Interconnecting them all together like this. And I'm not even fully done yet. There's one more ghost that's interconnected to this story that we haven't seen yet. (Although, you can probably guess who it is)

I was actually going to keep this behind bars until I could get another chapter done (Mainly because the next chapter's probably going to be really short) but I also wanted to get this chapter out as soon as possible. So, I had a date to wait and see if I could get another one done before I posted. And I reached that date with little to no progress on the next one., I'm a procrastinator, I'm sorry.
