Duncan
"Isabeau don't do this to me." My head was spinning.
"I saw her." She shook her head as if she didn't believe it herself. "She said she couldn't go yet."
"Why?" I took a step towards her and Logan turned his body so that he was shielding her slightly.
"She said that there's a way back."
Flashback
"So you're telling me that you guys are all legal but neither of you have ever been to a bar?" Seyrinah turned around and asked Marcus and Sebastian who were currently sitting in the backseat of my Jeep looking disgruntled.
"We never got around to it." Marcus replied coolly, but you could tell he was a little pissed to have been dragged away from Uncle Geoffrey's lab, and Sebastian, well he looked like he was going to jump out of the car and run back to the comfort of our home. "And besides, it's not like you're legal anyways."
"Well smartass, that's what fake ID's are for." She informed him matter- of- factly "Besides, I'm turning 21 in a couple of months."
"How long are we going to be gone for?" Sebastian asked.
"By 12 at the latest," Seyrinah told him, he looked relieved. "and by that I mean noon tomorrow." My brothers groaned. "What? It's not like you guys had anything to do anyways. Plus, you guys need to get laid." They just stared at her. "Fine, baby steps. We'll have a couple of drinks and mingle with the people there." Sebastian twitched nervously in his seat. "Ok, no mingling, but we are going to see who can hold their liquor the best."
"Is that it?" I asked her nodding at the bright red Roadhouse sign up ahead.
"That's the place." She turned back to Sebastian and Marcus. "You boys ready for this." Neither of them said anything. "It's a bar, you're not getting a colonoscopy. Look alive." I set the car in park and Seyrinah hopped out of the car. "C'mon."
"We can just leave her here you know? I mean this place doesn't even look sanitary. Seyrinah you actually drink at a place like this?" Marcus asked.
"Nope." She replied. I know that look; I could see the wheels turning in her head. She was up to something.
"Then what are we doing here?" Sebastian asked this time.
"Well considering the fact that this place has a reputation for hosting gangs, drug dealers and vampires, I figured you guys would fit right in. But if you don't wanna go in, you guys can just leave me here. I'm sure I can find another hot vampire to cling onto and bother. Who knows if I really play my cards right, I might even end up dead with my throat ripped out. Or maybe I could even-"
"Stop." Marcus cut her off. "We'll go in." he climbed out of the car, Sebastian right behind him. "God I hate you sometimes Seyrinah."
"Awww, is wittle baby Marcus scared of a wittle bar?" she patted his head condescendingly. He shoved her. "Don't push me you dick." She jumped on his back; her arms locked his head in a head lock.
"Ow, goddammit, get off you brat."
"Not until you say uncle."
"No!" Seyrinah tightened her hold. "Ack, can't breathe."
"Liar, you don't need to breathe." She tightened her hold even more. "Say uncle and I'll release you."
"Never."
"God, is she always like this?" Sebastian asked.
"Pretty much."
"How do you do it dude?" I shrugged; Seyrinah was currently straddling Marcus who was getting his face pushed into the concrete. She was still screaming at him to say uncle.
"Damn, she's strong."
"I know, that's why I love her." Sebastian scoffed.
"Dude you are so whipped."
"I know."
Flashback over
"Even in death, she's still stubborn." Marcus said shaking his head; Isabeau just finished telling us exactly what happened.
"She said there were more people here?" Dad asked Isabeau.
"Yes, I'd have to dream walk again to ask her more about it."
"Can you do it now?" Dad asked.
"Yes, Kala should be here now, she can help me stay longer." A knock on the door made her pause. Mom rushed to open the door.
"Why is Kala here anyways?" I asked.
"We were going to do a ritual for the moon tonight, but it looks like that's going to have to wait." Logan replied.
"Kala," Isabeau said, and we all turned towards the entry way, "I need to dream walk."
Seyrinah
The second Isabeau said she was going to dream walk again, the ghosts in the room started shouting loudly at me.
"You have to help me, I need to tell Liam that it wasn't his fault." A blonde woman said.
"Tell Hyacinth that I love her." A bearded man told me quietly.
"Tell Geoffrey that he broke his promise would you?" A tall blonde man asked me.
"Hang on, who are you people anyways? And why can't you tell Isabeau all of this, if you haven't noticed I'm still pretty dead." They all went quiet.
"You didn't notice?" the bearded man asked.
"Notice what?"
"Isabeau can't see us sweetie, only you can." The woman said.
"What? But she can see me."
"I guess you're special." The blonde man said frankly.
"Seyrinah? Who are you talking to?" I jumped.
"God Isabeau you scared me."
"Sorry."
"To answer your question, I was talking to the others. They have messages they want to pass on." Isabeau nodded, peering around me looking for other people. "You can't see them." Her brows furrowed.
"Ok, what do they have to say?" I turned to look at the people behind me.
"Ladies first." The bearded man said.
"Ok, my name is Deidra; tell her to tell Liam that what happened to me wasn't his fault, also tell him that I'm really happy for him." I told Isabeau and she nodded.
"Next."
"My name is Edward Drake; I would like to get a message to my wife. Tell her that she looks lovely and that scar on her face doesn't change how beautiful she is at all. Oh, yes, tell her that I love her." I had to smile, it was so sweet. "Oh also tell her to take that goddamn veil off, it covers up her beauty." I smiled at him and relayed the message to Isabeau.
"You're up next Mr.?"
"Adam Michelson. Tell her to tell Geoffrey that he didn't keep his promise to me."
"Got it. Isabeau, Adam Michelson wants to tell Geoffrey that he didn't keep his promise to him."
"Seyrinah," Crap I forgot about Mason. "We have to go."
"Is that it?" Isabeau asked.
"Yes, but I have to go now."
"Why?"
"It's a long story, but just tell Duncan that I love him and that I'll see him soon."
"Wait." I ignored her.
"So Mace, where to next?"
Duncan
We all sat in the living room waiting for Isabeau to wake up. This dream walk was taking forever. I glanced at the clock, half an hour already.
"She ignored me." Isabeau sat up wearily, her accent thick.
"So, what happened?" I asked
"There are a couple of messages that need to be relayed." She rubbed her head. "First Liam, a woman named Deidra, wanted to tell you that what happened to her wasn't your fault and that she is happy for you." We all looked at dad.
"What?"
"Who's Deidra?"
"She's your father's ex." Mom replied for him sounding annoyed.
"You mean you had a life before mom?" Quinn asked.
"Believe it or not children I did." We all snickered.
"Next." Isabeau continued and we all shut up. "Edward Drake would like to tell his wife that she looks lovely and that the scar on her face doesn't change how beautiful she is. Also he says that he loves her and that she should stop wearing the veil because it covers up how beautiful she is." Hyacinth choked.
"That sounds like something he would say." She said smiling dreamily.
"Then a man named Adam Michelson wants to tell Geoffrey that you didn't keep the promise you made to him." Geoffrey frowned. Isabeau let a breath out and leaned on Logan.
"Is that it?" I asked "Seyrinah didn't say anything?"
"Seyrinah was the one that relayed these messages to me." She paused "Oh right, she told me to tell you Duncan, that she loves you and that she will see you soon." Everyone in the room froze.
"What's that supposed to mean?" someone asked.
"I don't know, I was going to ask her but she had to go."
"Where?"
"I don't know Duncan." She frowned "But it was with someone named Mace."
