Author's Note: Hopefully this chapter will turn out as good as I imagined it to be. It's kind of based on a scene from Waterloo Road, so ... yahhhhh. This was kind of hard to write, but hopefully I did it well. I love you guys, continue to review please!

Chapter Eleven

Glimmer POV

"I wonder where Katniss got off to," Rue said. She turned the corner and pulled up outside the house. She turned around in her seat to look at me, where I was sat in the back with Leven. "Are you okay?" she asked.

I nodded as Leven wrapped her tiny hand around my finger. "I won't take long packing," I told her.

"I'll help if you want."

"Nah, it's okay," I said as I freed my finger and unbuckled my seatbelt. "I don't really have much stuff to pack anyway. Can you look after Leven for me? I'd rather leave her here than have to carry her back down with me."

Rue leaned back in her seat and pulled out her phone. "Yeah, sure," she muttered as she started texting. "I've got to nip down to the shop to pick up some beer for Johanna. I'll take Leven with me. Katniss texted me and said she'll come and pick you up in about 20 minutes. She says to lock the doors in case Cato comes and stay inside. You might as well do as she says. She can be pretty mean when she wants to be."

I nodded. "Thank you for doing this, Rue," I said as I opened the car door.

"A friend of Katniss is a friend of mine," Rue grinned.

I threw her a winning smile, blew Leven a kiss and shut the door. It took me a while to walk up the flight of stairs before I reached apartment 20b. I hustled in my schoolbag for a minute and pulled out my keys. I'd always kept a picture of me and Leven on a keychain, so it was like she was with me wherever I went. It was adorable; a giggle painted on her face, wearing those cute dungarees I'd bought her for Christmas. She wasn't looking at the camera at the time, but she was watching me from behind the camera, waving her favourite barbie doll around to make her laugh. I made a mental note to pack that doll.

I placed the key in the keyhole and twisted. It got stuck halfway through and I frowned. I pushed against the door slightly to find that it was already unlocked. I slapped my hand for forgetting to lock the door on the way out. I didn't want anyone to steal the little money I already had. I pushed the door open wider and flicked on the light. That was when the hand forced itself over my mouth. I tried to scream, but the hand was put tight over my lips, forcing them shut.

"Hey, baby," Cato grinned, his blue eyes sparkling cruelly.

Katniss POV

I turned off the radio, humming gently. Peeta's kiss was still on my lips. I loved the way he always tasted the same, like strawberries in the summer. Any other girl would think it a pretty girly taste, but to me, it tasted like home.

I stepped out of the car, forgetting to lock it like usual and strolled up to the block of flats. It was pretty disgusting, the bricks were a layer of grime and mould was forming in the corner of the windows. I grimaced and opened the main doors. I'm pretty sure Rue had said 20b, so I hastily knocked on the door.

"Glimmer?" I called.

The door opened but it wasn't Glimmer. My eyes widened and my mouth hung open. My heart pounded violently against my chest. Cato smirked at me. "Glimmer said you'd be round," he said, indifferently. "That was before I'd taken out the duct tape."

"If you've hurt her, I swear to God," I could barely even whisper.

He snorted. "Oh please, why would I do that? It's not as fun as it used to be. But now that you're here," he trailed my scar with his fingers. "Maybe I could have a little fun with both of you."

"Not a chance, you creep," I growled.

He dropped his hand. "Fine. Goodbye." He was about to shut the door when I firmly placed my foot in between the door and the frame and pushed it back open. I slapped Cato hard on the arm. He laughed, slightly amused.

"Um, ow!"

"I just want to talk to her," I pleaded. "Please ... just for a few minutes."

"She doesn't want to see you," Cato said, impatiently, rubbing his arm.

"I don't care! Just two minutes."

He stared at me suspiciously before smiling that handsome smile and opened the door wide enough for me to walk through. I hurried past him so he couldn't touch me. I wondered through the house, ignoring Cato as he locked the door.

"Glimmer?" I shouted.

I heard moaning from the bedroom. My head pounded and I made my way to the bedroom, scared as to what I'd find. As I walked through the door, I saw Glimmer. tied up with her own clothes and scarves on the bed, crying. She had duct tape over her mouth which she was delicately moaning into. She looked up at me in fear, shaking her head.

"Oh my God," I mumbled, and threw myself on the bed beside her. I gently tore the duct tape from her mouth and removed the scarves from her body. Her cries were now audible throughout the house. She sat up and hugged me. I pulled her tightly to me and hugged her straight back.

When she pulled apart, she spoke with fear masked in her voice. "What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here? What's Cato doing here?" I whispered back.

Cato entered, rubbing his hands together. "It was quite sweet, really," he said. "She seemed worried about you, so I brought her in. But you're fine, aren't you babes?"

"You need to get out of here," Glimmer ordered, not even looking at Cato.

I frowned at her. "No, you need to come home with me, now," I said, firmly. She looked at me, desperately and opened her mouth to say something before Cato cut in.

"She doesn't need to do anything," he snapped. We both turned to face him. He was staring at us menacingly. We weren't going to get out of this unscathed. He pointed at us accusingly in turn, me then Glimmer. "You need to stop putting ideas in her head and you need to start realizing what's best for you."

Glimmer's breath turned shaky, but she tried her best to remain calm despite the tears flooding relentlessly down her cheeks. "Cato, please ... I'll stay with you and w-we can go back to the way we were before," she stuttered. "P-please just let her go."

Cato grinned and took off his jacket. "Actually, I believe I made a promise to Miss Everdeen over here." I frowned, confused. "I did say, that if she ever tried to hit me again, she would suffer the consequences. Or rather her baby would suffer. You're only, what? Two months pregnant? It can't be very hard to get it out of you."

My eyes went wide and I scrambled closer to Glimmer. She wrapped her arms tightly around me, refusing to let me get hurt. "No way," I cried. "Cato, please don't ..."

It was too late to beg. Cato lunged forwards and grabbed my hair. He pulled tightly, causing a scream of pain to escape to escape my lips. Glimmer shrieked in shock. She continued to beg for him to stop as he threw me to the floor, finally releasing my hair. I sobbed, my head itself was screaming with the pain. It had managed to smack against the floor so hard, I saw white and black dots bursting in my eyes. I vaguely noticed Glimmer trying to wrestle Cato away from me, but he somehow managed to push her back down on the bed. He was on top of her, pinning her hands down on the bed. He was saying something that I couldn't hear and that worried me. My head was practically thumping with the pain.

"Help ..." I muttered. I fought against the darkness that was closing in. Then something struck me. My phone was still in my pocket. I quickly swiped it out whilst Cato was distracted. I tried not to watch as he continued to threaten her. I clicked on Rue's contact number and sent her a speed text.

Help. Cato here. Call police.

It was totally vague, but she surely must understand.

Cato finally stood up and shouted something at me I didn't totally understand before his hands closed around my neck and the world fell to blackness.
