I'm not calling you a liar
There's a ghost in my lungs and it sighs in my sleep.
Wraps itself around my tongue, as it softly speaks.
"Legolas." She breathed. "How?" He dismounted his horse and walked towards her. "Aragorn sent me to help. But I see it wasn't really needed." "Well, you did just save my life, so thank you." She continued her search for her daggers which had been interrupted by a knife to her throat. As she took them she wiped the blood on the grass before putting them in her belt or boots. "We should leave now, there might be more and someone needs to look at your injuries." Legolas said as she put the last dagger in her belt. Ariel knotted her eyebrows together while she thought about it. Soon she whistled. "I'll be fine, but you're right we should ride back to Minas Tirith." After a few seconds Sirdal arrived out of the trees trotting towards her owner. "She doesn't particularly like orcs." Ariel explained as she put her foot in the stirrup and mounted her horse. She started galloping out of the woods closely followed by Legolas.
Later that afternoon, Ariel found herself in her room stripping of her blue tunic spattered with blood. At least her shirt was black and you couldn't see the blood but she could feel it sticking to her skin. When she got back from the fight she left for her room to change before heading to the throne room. She was supposed to inform the council and the king of what she saw.
"There isn't much to tell aside from what Aragorn and Legolas has already told. I killed all the orcs except the one who put his knife to my throat, but Legolas killed him." Ariel stressed she didn't find this an effective use of her time.
"So you killed eighteen orcs alone with a slashed ankle and arm."
"Steward, are you calling me a liar? And besides it was only late in the fight I got my injuries."
"No milady, I'm not calling you a liar, it's just, very impressive."
"Thank you, may I be excused. I've had a long day." Ariel sighed.
"You may, just don't leave the city in the future, Ariel." Aragorn said dismissing her and watching her taking long strides out of the door.
She hurried out of the room not watching where she was going as she tumbled into Éowyn. "I apologize I was not watching my steps." Ariel confessed softly to the woman. "It is fine. I was looking for you actually I would like to know more about you. You seem kind and from what I heard a skilled warrior." "Says the woman who slayed The Witch-King of Angmar. I think I should thank you, he and I had a not so pleasant run in a few years ago." "Oh, I guess you're welcome." The pair continued their conversation walking through the gardens. "You seem to have the abilities of an elf but you don't look the part, so what are you? If you don't mind me asking of course." "I am half actually, my father was an elf. I grew up in Lothlórien so when the time came, I chose to be an elf, since you can't be both."
