This is something I started in December and really wanted to finish it. I was going to hold onto it until next Christmas but then I realized today being the 6th of January and the 12th day of Christmas that it would be totally acceptable to post it. So here is your Three Kings gift. The inspiration for this fic all came from a line of a song by the Wombats called "Give Me a Try". The inspirational lyric is "I know that I like to let excess succeed but I just need you in that fur coat with only my necklace underneath." Enjoy!

Blair Waldorf Bass looked in the full length mirror one last time straightening the sapphire and diamond necklace at her throat. She then tightened the collar of the full length fur coat she was wearing. It had started to snow and it was bound to be extra chilly tonight.

She exited the master bedroom and went in search of her mother and Cyrus. They had arrived the beginning of November for Blair's thirtieth birthday party and had decided to remain in New York through New Year's. Blair had asked if they would mind staying in tonight so she could meet Chuck. He had been working late at the office the past four days. He was preparing for the end of the year board meeting and complained that with the children being so excited for the upcoming holiday and their houseguests that he was incapable of getting anything done at the house. So he was FaceTiming the children before bed and having breakfast with them every morning.

While the children were slightly pacified with this routine Blair was not. She missed having her husband home every night and was so thankful that the meeting was scheduled for Monday and his prep was at an end. She decided to surprise him at the office to help him celebrate.

She stepped into the formal living room where her mother and Cyrus were having a cup of tea.

"Thank you so much for staying with the children. They're all sound asleep so there shouldn't be any problems." She pushed her hair over her shoulder as she slipped on her leather gloves.

"I'm sure we can handle anything that might arise, Blair. We've both had children of our own you know." Her mother took a sip from her cup.

Blair pursed her lips biting back a snarky retort about Eleanor hardly being present for Blair's childhood.

Cyrus sensing the change in Blair said "Enjoy your time with Chuck and don't worry about us." Cyrus smiled at his stepdaughter.

Blair smiled back. "Don't wait up."

"We're exhausted. We'll be in bed long before you two return." Eleanor set her cup aside.

"See you in the morning," Blair called over her shoulder as she turned and left the room.

She entered the foyer and glanced out the window seeing the car waiting at the curb. She opened the door and headed down the stairs.

Arthur met her at the bottom of the steps. "Be careful, Mrs. Bass, it's getting slippery." He offered his hand which she took.

"Thank you, Arthur." She glanced up at the snow falling steadily. "It is pretty though."

He nodded as he pulled the door open for her. "The children will be happy in the morning."

Blair smiled at the thought of Henry and Cordelia seeing it when they woke. "They'll be thrilled." She slid into the back seat and Arthur closed the door.

There was hardly any traffic and they made it to BI fifteen minutes later. Blair told Arthur that he should go and they would get a car service home. He started to protest but she insisted that he had put in a long enough day.

She exited the car and entered the building nodding to the night security guard who greeted her before heading to the elevators.

On the ride up she loosened the collar of her coat. Her hand grazed the necklace at her throat. It had been her birthday gift from Chuck this year. It had once belonged to Catherine the Great and he had acquired it from Christie's Fall Antique Jewelry sale. It had been a complete surprise to her. When he had gifted it to her he had attached a card that had read "My darling Blair, Only the jewels of a great Empress could ever be good enough for the ruler of my heart. Eternally yours, C." She had shed a tear before wrapping him in her arms and kissing him. She had worn them the night of her huge birthday bash and they had been in the home safe ever since. She decided they were the perfect thing to wear tonight.

The elevator doors opened and she got off on the 47th floor. It was quiet and the lights were dimmed. No one from this floor would ever be here at quarter to ten on a Friday night in December. She headed towards the back of the space and Chuck's office.

The doors were partially closed and she approached them taking a breath before knocking gently.

"Come in," her husband called.

Blair pushed the door to and stepped into the room. "I thought you could use a break."

Chuck looked up from whatever papers he was perusing his forehead wrinkled in confusion. "Blair, what are you doing here?"

She closed the door locking it, wary of the cleaning crew, before turning back around. "I've missed my husband this week." She crossed the room unbuttoning the fur as she went.

Chuck smiled as the shock dissolved. "This is the best way to end my week." He closed his laptop before standing up and picking up his desk phone. "Should I call Café Boulud and ask them to set a table for us?"

She shook her head as she stopped a few steps from the front of his desk. Without a word she slipped the mink from her body letting it pool at her feet. She was completely naked underneath except for the necklace and her heels. "I'm not very hungry."

Chuck, who was completely shocked, quickly pulled himself together. He looked her over from head to toe in wonder. How did he get so lucky to have such an incredible wife?

"Well, I am completely famished," he stared at her plump, red lips before meeting her gaze, "for you."

He dropped the phone back into its cradle before slowly coming around his desk. When he was in front of it he leaned back against it and crossed his arms. It was then that it finally dawned on him that she was wearing her 30th birthday gift; a gift worth five million dollars give or take a few million. He shook his head biting his lower lip.

Blair smiled at him coyly. "What?"

"Only my wife would wear a necklace worth a small fortune to a late night rendezvous with her husband."

She touched the smooth stones before closing the space between them. "Is that really what you're thinking about right now?" She reached out cupping him through his pants. He was already partially aroused. "Please, tell me it's me and not some necklace that has your dick hard?"

He reached out cupping her bare breast squeezing the erect nipple. "Oh it's most definitely you." He covered her mouth with his own pushing his tongue inside as he enveloped her into his arms.

Within minutes they were atop her discarded coat, Chuck buried between her thighs. The only sound in the office was their bated breaths as they came together in total abandon.

Chuck rained soft kisses along her collarbone and up her neck before devouring her lips in an all-consuming kiss. He reluctantly parted from her sweet mouth whispering a quiet "I love you" against her lips before settling next to her. He pulled his pants and boxers back up before propping himself up onto his elbow.

He stared down at his beautiful wife. Her eyes were still closed as she regained her breath. He reached out running a finger along her throat tracing a bead of sweat to the dip at the base of it. He could feel her pulse as it raced beneath her ivory skin. He leaned over and placed a kiss to the spot.

When he lifted his head his gaze met hers. She reached up pushing his hair back off his forehead before pulling him down for a kiss.

He rested a hand against her cheek as he ended it. "Thank you for loving me so well."

She smiled softly. "You make it so easy." Her fingers, still entwined in his hair, tightened their grip. "Let's go away in the new year; just the two of us." Since Ned was born the year before they hadn't really had a lot of alone time.

He gave her a quick kiss. "I'll have Emma start making the arrangements first thing in the morning."

"I'll ask my mother and Cyrus to help watch the children." She released her hold on him and he sat up.

"One of the best perks of having and involved mother-in-law. Now, I really am hungry." He stood up leaning down and helping her to her feet.

She bent over picking up the coat from the floor. "Chuck, I have absolutely nothing to wear."

He glanced at his watch before wrapping his arms around her waist. "While I would love nothing more than to take you to Café Boulud just as you are I think that might be pushing the boundaries of propriety so I think we'll make a stop at Bergdorf's first." During Christmas Bergdorf's always stay open late for their best clients and the Basses were definitely one of them.

He kissed her gently squeezing her waist. "Now go freshen up and I'll place the calls."

Blair smiled brightly. "I did have my eye on that gorgeous, black lace Chanel dress in their holiday look book."

Chuck started to turn towards his desk reaching out for his phone. "I'll tell them to set it aside."

"Thank you." She headed to Chuck's private bathroom pausing before she entered. "Also the deep red Dior."

Chuck winked at her. "It's yours." He watched as she closed the door before dialing.

He'd give her the moon if she asked for it. It was the least he could do for the woman that had literally given him everything. He had a happy, beautiful family; a place he belonged and it was all because of her. Nothing was too good for her.

When she exited the bathroom fifteen minutes later looking gorgeous they left hand and hand feeling exhilaratingly happy.

As they stepped out of the building the snow immediately started to coat the two of them. Chuck tightened his hold on her so she wouldn't slip. The car he had ordered was waiting curbside and the driver rushed to open the back door.

Before she could slip inside Chuck stopped her placing a kiss to her lips. He couldn't possibly be any more content than he was right at that moment standing in the snow kissing the woman he loved. His life was pure, unadulterated bliss.
