Chapter 11
The Weasley twin's attention short to the young boy as they looked him up and down and said, "Who're you?"
That seemed to be the million dollar question as everyone else kept looking at the two new guests with trepidation boiling in the stomachs. Sirius and Remus shared a knowing glance before Sirius stepped through the doorway and replied, "They're just visiting for a while. Nothing to worry about. 'Order business' as Molly would say."
The two boys looked thankfully toward Sirius as he gave them a small wink, but that answer did not, apparently, satisfy the other's curiosity.
"Why are they on Order business when that one kid looks eight?" George acclaimed.
"What the Order does is none of your business, we're just going to be proving a safe place to stay for these boys until they can be sent home. Please, no more questions." Mrs. Weasley replied as Albus said rather defiantly, "I'm actually nine…"
Harry looked curiously at the boys before saying, "What're your names?"
"Well I'm Teddy, and that's Al- that's Albert, but he goes by Al….yeah."
"Smooth." Albus whispered while he elbowed Teddy in the ribs.
"Yes, and since Albus is still such a young little nine year old," Sirius said nonchalantly, "I think it's about time for everyone to go back to bed."
"Bu-"
"No, Sirius is right, it's been a long day for everyone, and it's time to get some shut eye." Remus said pointedly.
Hermione grabbed Ron and Harry's arms before walking out the door looking scared and a bit worried while Harry and Ron looked confused. Ginny turned to follow them while giving the two new arrivals a suspicious look, and the twins turned around and headed up the stairs all the while whispering excitedly to each other.
"Here's some soup and bred for you boys, you're much too skinny."
"Thanks G- Mrs. Weasley, it looks delicious" Albus caught himself, but Mrs. Weasley had the ears of a mother, and she heard his little stutter. She turned toward him.
"You're very welcome, dear." She replied quietly.
"Well eat up boys, because I don't think Sirius was kidding when he said some sleep would be nice." Remus said with a sad smile, "Right, Sirius?"
"Hm? Oh, yeah sure whatever." Sirius mumbled as he ran a hand angrily through his hair.
"Are you alright, Sirius?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm perfectly fine! Just dandy!" Sirius said through his teeth as he stalked out the kitchen door and back upstairs where the slamming of a bedroom door could be heard.
"What's up with him?" Teddy said through a chunk of bread.
"You know Sirius, he's probably mad about something with that horrible temper of his. I really wouldn't worry about it" Remus replied, but he indeed looked worried.
The boys nodded and ate the rest of their late meal in silence. Mrs. Weasley busied herself around the kitchen cleaning things that were already spotless until she stopped bid everyone goodnight and headed upstairs.
Remus continued to look at Teddy trying to drink in this image. Teddy had his face (minus the multiple scars) and his body type. He was left handed because he help his soup spoon in his left hand. He obviously got the hair from his mother, and his natural goofiness from her as well. He had bread crumbs littered around the corners of his mouth, and Remus had to resist the urge to wipe them away. Fatherly instinct he thought bitterly. It wasn't fair that Remus wouldn't get to know Teddy as a young child and see him grow, but he got to see him now, and he was going to make the most of it.
Sorry that this is really short, but at least I didn't take like 6 months to update this time! If you have any ideas/requests of what you want to happen next, please do not hesitate to tell me! I want to hear your ideas!
