Bonnie's birthday was over a month ago and she had yet to celebrate it. Jeremy forgot about it and Elena ruined the day she was going to celebrate it with Caroline. Damon made a promise to her that he was going to take her out after their break was over, when Bonnie had not intentions of it ever being over. But since her plans what shot straight to hell and they resumed their affair Damon kept his promise to take her out to celebrate her birthday.
Damon took her to a fine dining restaurant. Elegant chandeliers dimly lit the otherwise dark restaurant. The staff dressed in neat black and white uniforms, the food looked like a photo out of a magazine and every customer was well dressed including Bonnie and Damon.
"You really didn't have to do all this." Bonnie said, taking a seat in the corner booth in the back of the restaurant. "You could have taken me to get a burger or something and I would have been happy." She was just happy being with him after a month of not having him around.
"You deserve more than just a burger and fries. This lunch is only the beginning of what I have planned."
She smiled, scooting closer to him. "And what exactly is it do you have planned Mr. Salvatore?"
He mirrored her beautiful smile. "Well Ms. Bennett, that is a surprise."
She pouted playfully. "Can you please tell me?" She asked, batting her long eyelashes.
"Here come's one now." Damon pointed. Bonnie looked up to see a waiter carrying a plate with a large slice of chocolate cake with a lit candle in the middle. The waiter placed the cake on the table in front of Bonnie and walked away."I would've paid for someone to sing happy birthday to you, but I figured you didn't want the attention. Make a wish." Bonnie closed her eyes and thought really hard about what she wanted and then it hit her. She blew the candle out then opened her eyes. "What'd you wish for?" Damon asked, snapping a picture with his phone.
"If I told you, it won't come true." Bonnie picked up the huge slice of cake off her plate with her hands, disregarding a eating utensil and took a bite out of the delicious dessert. "God this is good." she moaned.
"Let me taste." Damon said. Bonnie held the cake to his mouth and watched him take a bite and swallowed. "That is good. Let me get another bite."
"No dude, It's my cake. You go get your own." Damon dived for another bite but she pulled it away and took another bite for herself. Damon grabbed her arm and pulled it back to his mouth, taking another bite of the cake. "Stop," She giggled. "It's mine." She fought back for control of her arm but failed miserably. She flicked her wrist, flinging the piece of chocolate cake on the ground. "See what you did." she frowned looking at the piece of cake on the floor.
"I'll buy you a cake." Damon wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled the small woman on to his lap."But now there is something much sweeter I want." He used his fingers to move her face in his direction and connected his lips soft lips to her even softer lips, making her forget all about her wasted birthday cake.
Bonnie broke away from the kiss and smiled, running her fingers through his hair. "You have no idea how much I missed your lips." Instead of replying he slid his fingers into her curls and pulled her lips back to his.
"Its so nice to see young couples." Someone said, interrupting their kiss. Bonnie and Damon turned their attention to an older couple standing in front of their table. "Hi, i'm Ruth." The grey haired woman held out her hand for them to shake.
Bonnie shook her hand first. "Hi," She smiled.
"I'm Da..Ian," Damon said, shaking her hand.
"I'm Kat."
Ruth took a seat in the booth across from Bonnie and Damon followed by her husband. "I'm sorry for my wife, she doesn't know how to mind her business. " The old man teased.
Ruth rolled her blue eyes, ignoring her husband. "Are you married," she asked them.
Yeah. Just not to each other.
"No," Damon answered.
"She's a beautiful girl. If you don't hurry and put a ring on her finger someone might just steal her away from you." The old man cautioned.
Damon looked up at Bonnie on his lap, who had her attention on the older couple, and smiled. "I'll take that into consideration."
"So how did you two meet," Ruth asked.
Damon and Bonnie were fully prepared for a situation like this. They came up with the perfect backstory just in case someone asked and they had rehearsed it.
"We met in college. She was lost and came up to me and asked me where she could find the science building. I walked her to it and once we were there, I asked her out on a date."
"I said no because it was my first year and I wasn't looking for a relationship."
"I'm not a quitter," Damon continued. "So I kept asking and asking."
"He was an ass who was stalking me and I hated him but... he was kind of cute so I eventually said yes"
"It's the eyes."
"It wasn't but we've been together ever since." Bonnie finished
How long have you been together?"
"6 years." Damon answered.
"No, babe it was five." Bonnie corrected him, also liked they rehearsed.
"That's because you count from when are relationship actually started. I count from the moment a saw this breathtakingly beautiful freshmen walking around campus looking for the ." Bonnie smiled, just as they rehearsed and leaned in to peck his lips.
"6 years,"Bonnie corrected, still looking into Damon's eyes while running her fingers through his hair.
"So what about you? What's your story?" Damon asked, wrapping his arm tighter around the woman on his lap. Bonnie leaned against him, resting her head against his.
"I kidnapped her." The old man joked.
"That's not true Jimmy." Ruth scolded him. Jimmy let out a deep boisterous laugh. "He thinks it sounds more interesting if he tells people that."
"Ruth and I met at a school dance my buddy and I crashed. We weren't students at the school but it was a Friday night and we had nothing to do. We walked into the gym and that's when I saw Ruthie. I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world. "
"That's so sweet," Bonnie commented.
"I walked up to her and asked her to dance but she turned me down."
"Not because I didn't want to, I was just dating someone else at the time." Ruth interjected.
"Lawrence Bowman. I hated him."
"Get back to the story Jimmy." Ruth said.
Bonnie and Damon laughed at the couple."I guess I'm like you Ian. I don't take no for an answer. Her so called boyfriend didn't even walk her home so I accompanied her."
"More like followed."
"Shh Ruthie." Jimmy patted her thigh. "I'm telling the story. Okay I was following her. When she realized that I was following her she turned around and told me a couple of choice words, leaving me speechless but once I regain the use of my tongue I apologized for following her."
"He was so sweet and sincere, I felt bad about yelling at him."
"And I refused to accept her apology until she agreed to go on a date with me."
"Six months later we were engaged." Ruth said.
"Wait, after six months you already knew you wanted to spend your life together? " Bonnie asked.
Jimmy looked over at his wife and smiled.
"No. I knew after 6 seconds. I can tell you the exact moment I fell in love with my Ruthie. It was the moment I walked into the gym and my eyes met hers. All I could think was WOW, I'm going to marry that girl." Ruth laid her head on his shoulder.
"What about you Ms Ruth," Bonnie asked. "What moment did you know he was the one?"
"I didn't know as soon as he did but I knew after our first date. He was very sweet and courteous." Ruth smiled looking at her husband and he kissed her. "We just celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary."
"60 years is a long time." Damon said.
"It doesn't seem that long." Ruth replied
"60 years of marriage 3 kids 6 grand kids and 2 great grandchildren later we're still going strong." Jimmy added.
Bonnie smiled."You guys are amazing."
The couple smiled at her. "So what about you two. When did you know you were in love." Ruth asked.
She literally could have asked any question in the world and they would have had the perfect answer to it, except for that one. So when Ruth asked the question neither one of the had the perfect lie to tell.
"So when did you?"
The only other option they had and for it to sound believable was to tell the complete honest truth. But before either one of them had the time to respond to the sweet old woman's question her cell phone rang and the couple had to leave.
The rest of their lunch was quiet.
1 months 2 weeks 3 days and 2 hours and 15 minutes since he last felt the softness of her skin underneath his fingertips. Since he was last buried deep inside her while his lips were pressed against her plump soft lips. He finally had her back in his grasp and he never wanted to let her go again. He was a selfish man and he wanted her all to himself, even when he knew that wasn't possible. When they were done he had to go back home to a wife he wasn't sure he even loved anymore and she had to go home to a husband that didn't love her as she deserved to be loved.
Like he would love her.
Like he did love her.
He loved her to the moon and back, It sounded cliche but it was the truth. She made his darkest days brighter. She was his addiction. He craved her like a drug addict craved crack, like an alcoholic craved liquor or a diabetic craved sugar.
He wanted more from their not just sex anymore relationship. He wanted to be able to love her freely, cherish her. He wanted her to belong to him and vice versa. He wanted to make love to this woman. He wanted to make her come so hard she'd pass out from exhaustion and fall asleep in his arms where she would stay all night until the morning light peaked through the curtains and woke them.
1 month 2 weeks 3 days 2 hours and 15 minutes since she has been in the arms of the man she loves.
She often found herself wondering about the what ifsā¦
What if she had met him first? What if she told him how she felt? What if he didn't feel the same way? What if she told him and he laughed in her face because all she is to him is just sex?
"Say my name." He whispered in her ear as he trusted in and out of her.
"Ia..." she started
"No, my real name I want to hear you scream it."
With her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms wrapped around his body, he pumped faster into her. She screamed out in ecstasy as her fingernails clawed at his back, leaving scratches all the while chanting his name like a mantra, over and over again. "God!" She yelled, throwing her head back as her walls clenched around him as he spilled his seed deep inside her womb.
Damon collapsed on top of her and buried his face in the crook of her neck. "I missed you." Her whispered into her neck and rolled over on to his back as the both tried to catch their breaths.
She smiled and rolled over on top of him, straddling his abdomen. "What. Are. We. Going. To. Do. Next?" She asked, leaning over and leaving a trail of kisses across his lips, jaw, and neck, between each word. He felt himself growing hard again. He moved his hands slowly down her side, across the small of her back, down to her ass cheeks and grasped them then brought them back up to her waist and pushed her further down so his erection was nestled between her wet folds.
'I think you know what I want to do next." Bonnie tilted her head and touched her finger to her chin in a mock thinking manner.
"I haven't the slightest idea."
"I think you know." Damon moved his hand under Bonnie and grabbed his throbbing erection. Bonnie raised up a bit so he could slide his cock right back where it belonged.
After their fourth round of fornicating there was no way in hell either of them could muster up the strength to do it again and ended up falling asleep.
Bonnie was the first to wake up from their nap.
"Damon." Bonnie nudge the man asleep with his arm wrapped tightly around her.
Damon pulled her body even closer to his. "Go back to sleep Bon," he muttered.
"I can't. I'm suppose to meet your mom and Caroline at 3." Damon let her go and reached for his cell phone on the nightstand to check the time. "You're already late, it's 5:15."
"Shit," She exclaimed and rolled off the bed. She walked around the room and picked up all her clothes tossed around. "Lily's going to kill me. I was suppose to help with the party tonight." She explained tossing her clothes on the bed.
"I forgot that was tonight." Damon said, standing up and picking up his clothes.
Bonnie picked up a book bag from beside the door she packed extra outfits in so she didn't have to go back home after she left Damon. "Everyone is going to be there. Your mom invited everybody she came across."
"You've been hanging out with my mom a lot huh?" He inquired.
"Yeah. She's cool and speaking of your mom. Are you guys cool again? She told me what you told her after we had that little fight?" She asked, pulling out a fresh pair of underwear, blue jeans and a simple green tank top out of her bag and began getting dressed.
Damon cocked his brow. "Little fight?" He asked, sliding on his boxers.
"We've had worst."
Damon chuckled. "Yeah like that time you tried to kill me."
Bonnie smiled, rolling her eyes. "I didn't try to kill you."
"You threw a knife at me."
"It was the first thing I could grab and besides you started with me first."
"I called you fat. That's no excuse for you to murder me."
"The first thing you said to me was damn Bonnie you're fat. I was pregnant and hormonal, you were asking for it."
"Thank god for Stefan because if he didn't take that knife out of your hand I would have been minus a body part."
Bonnie laughed. "Poor Stefan. He had to get stitches because I sliced his hand when he grabbed the blade." Bonnie buttoned her pants before pulling her shirt on. "Now back to the topic of your mom. Did you talk to her?"
"You shouldn't worry about my relationship with my mom." Damon replied, walking over to the mirror and looked at the stinging scratches Bonnie left on his back. "Damn Bon do you have claws for nails." He said, wincing as he touched the scratches.
"She's your mom. She's made her mistakes but she's apologized for them." Bonnie walked behind Damon and kissed the scratches she left as a silent apology."You're so lucky you still have your mom here. I'd give anything just to have my mother back." Bonnie picked up Damon's tie and wrapped it around his neck. "Please talk to her."
Damon looked down at Bonnie adjusting his tie."What if I said no?"He asked softly.
"I would be very upset." She answered, keeping her attention on trying to tie the tie into a perfect Windsor knot.
"If I said yes would it make you happy?"
"It's not about me. It's about you and Lily. If you apologize and finally let go of the anger and resentment you hold for her you both would be very happy." She patted his chest when she finished off the knot.
"You should start worrying about your own happiness instead of everybody else." He said as he brought her fingers to her chin, tilted her chin up and kissed her softly on the lips.
"I am."
When Bonnie pulled into Caroline's and Stefan's driveway she spotted Stefan and Lily having a very heated discussion on the front lawn.
"Mom. There is no way all those people are going to fit inside my house." Stefan repeated to his mom for the 3rd time. What wasn't she getting. His home was big but not big enough to hold the 300 plus bodies she invited to 'Lily's Going Away Bash.' as she called it.
"That's what the yard is for." Lily stated.
"I have neighbors."
"I invited them too."
"Mom."Stefan wined.
"Hey guys." Bonnie said walking up to the mother and son duo with smile on her face.
"Bonnie where the hell have you been?" Lily asked. She told Bonnie to be there at 3 and it was nearly 6 and the party started at 8.
This was Lily's last night in The City and she wanted to leave her mark, especially not knowing when she would be able to return. She made it her mission to make sure it was going to be huge. She invited everyone she knew and even advertised online, against her son and his wife's wishes, sure they were pissed when they found out about it but she just guilted them into accepting it.
"I got held up." Bonnie offered up as an explanation.
Lily shook her head. She knew Bonnie was lying. "You've been fucking." Bonnie was mortified at her expression but more so Stefan.
"MOM!" Stefan exclaimed.
Lily rolled her eyes at her youngest. "What is up with you and your brother. You two are adults. I shouldn't have to censor myself around you either. Obviously you know what fucking is or Caroline wouldn't be knocked up now. " She shifted her eyes back to Bonnie. "You have that just been fucked glow and that smile on your face can only come from getting good dick."
"MOM!"
"Stefan you're my baby boy and I love you but if I have to watch my mouth around you get the fuck out my face." Stefan blinked at his mom, not sure of what to do. "NOW before I kick your ass." Stefan hurriedly got out of his mothers sight and went inside the house.
Lily Salvatore was not someone you wanted to piss off.
"Did you get what I asked for." Lily asked Bonnie.
"You do know they don't sell that in stores right?"
"I didn't ask you where they sell it or don't I asked did you get it." Lily snapped.
"If they don't sell it in stores where am I suppose to get it."
"The weed man."
"Lily I live in the suburbs. There is no weed man around here."
"They're around here. You just have to know where to look." Lily reached in her back jean pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper and handed it to Bonnie. "The DJ is inside setting up. Give him this list of songs." Bonnie un-crumpled the list and began reading off the songs.
"Kisses Down Low", Kelly Rowland. "My neck, My Back", Khia. "Work it," Missy Elliot. "Look Back at me,"Trina. "How Many Licks" Lil Kim. Bonnie laughed."Lilly, all of these songs are about oral sex."
"Your point?"
"I just didn't think you would know these songs." Lily laughed for the first time all day.
"Are you kidding. I have more than that on my phone playlist." Bonnie smiled and turned around to do what Lily asked and gave the DJ the playlist.
"Hey Bonnie." Caroline said walking into the house. "Did Lily ask you about some weed?"
Bonnie laughed, nodding her head. "Yeah, like I would know where to get that stuff from. I never had to buy it. My boyfriend always did."
Caroline gasped. As long as she knew Bonnie she never knew Bonnie to touch drugs. That wasn't something miss goody two shoes Bonnie Bennett did. "Bonnie Bennett. You smoke?"
"In high school I did. God Caroline I wasn't always so uptight." She laughed, looking at the expression on the blonde's face. "I had to stop because I was dancer, it was bad for my lungs."
Caroline crossed her arms and smirked. "Who would have thought Bonnie Bennett was a stoner. What else don't I know about you?"
"I wasn't a stoner. I only did it a couple of times."
"You surprise me everyday Bon. First you I learn you are or were having an affair, then I learn you were a stoner. What's next."
"I'm asking Jeremy for a divorce." Out of all the things Caroline thought Bonnie was going to say next that was not on the list. Don't get her wrong she was happy Bonnie said it, ecstatic even. She just never thought she'd hear those words come out of her best friends mouth. It was too good to be true.
"Close your mouth Caroline before something flies in it." Bonnie laughed, watching her best friend's reaction to her news.
"What? "
Bonnie looked around , she didn't want anyone ease dropping on her conversation. "Can we go somewhere quiet?" There were too many people walking around preparing for the party and she didn't want anyone else to know. Caroline nodded and lead Bonnie down the hall to her husband's office and locked the door.
"What brought on the change of heart? Don't get my wrong i'm ecstatic you're finally leaving that piece of shit but..."
"I'm tired Caroline. I'm tired of being unhappy, I'm tired of being walked over and treated like trash. If I'm ever going to be happy. I have to make a change and leaving Jeremy is the biggest one I have to make.
"When are you going to tell him?"
"Tonight, after the party."
"You know if you need anything you know you can always count on me."
"I've spent way too much time depending on other people. Don't worry about me I have everything taken care of."
Bonnie Bennett was finally going to be happy and the first step to her happiness was getting rid of the one thing that prevented it. Her husband. This divorce was a long time coming and far overdue, even Bonnie had to admit that.
Lily's advice to Bonnie was not in vain, she was taking Lily's advice and making sure that Bonnie was happy.
For years Bonnie depended on Jeremy for everything and he made sure as hell she did. He made sure that without him Bonnie would fail miserably. Bonnie wasn't a complete idiot and she knew that before she made any rash decisions about ending her marriage, she had to make sure that she could make it on her own, without having to ask him or anyone for anything.
Bonnie had some money stashed away in a secret account in case of an emergency. It wasn't anything to live off of long term but it was a start. With the money in the account she was able to put down a security deposit on an apartment. It wasn't in anyway the type of housing she had become accustom to but it would do. In addition to finding a new place to live she had to find a job to be able to continue to survive.
Everyday while Jeremy was working she looked through the newspaper classifieds and drove through town looking for a job. fortunately she found one as a cashier at the little bistro she had lunch with Caroline and Lily weeks earlier. The money she would be making wouldn't afford her the lifestyle she was living before but it would be enough for her to get by on and it would be money she could say was truly hers.
Lily was right. The only way things would change is if she made them. So when she and Jeremy got home after the party that night she would tell him that she wanted a divorce, and that was all she wanted. He could keep the house, the car and the clothes. All Bonnie wanted was her freedom and hopefully he would give her that without any resistance.
"I'm happy for you Bon." Caroline smiled, giving her best friend a hug. "You deserve all the happiness in the world."
"I want it."
When Damon arrived at the party the house was packed. The music was loud, the room was dark, the only lights coming from the strobe lights hung from the ceiling. He walked through the crowd of people. Some were dancing. Some talking. He looked around for some familiar faces and spotted Jeremy in the corner of the room whispering in some big breasted blonde's ear and Elena holding a red solo cup while talking to another brunette. He sneaked passed both Gilbert siblings and pushed through the rest of the crowd and spotted Bonnie talking to his sister in law by the drink table near the back wall.
"Hey." he said, taking in Bonnie's third outfit of the day. She was wearing a little strapless black dress that hugged every curve and stopped mid thigh, if she were to bend over everyone in the room would get an eye full.
Normally Bonnie wouldn't wear anything that revealing to anything she attended, especially if her husband was there. Jeremy would never let her out of the house like that, but she didn't get dressed at home she got dressed at Caroline's and seeing that he was getting ready to divorce his ass anyway she didn't care about what he would say when he did see her outfit.
She was at a party. She was there to have fun and enjoy herself. She wasn't at an office party where she had to stand and look pretty or make small talk with people she didn't even like or drink over priced champagne. She was going to dance, get wasted on some cheep liquor and when she got home that night she was going to tell her husband that she was leaving him, then she would probably have to call a cab because their would be no way she'd be able to drive.
Bonnie smiled when she saw Damon walking over to them, wearing the same suit he wore earlier. "Hey sexy." She might have already had a teeny bit of alcohol in her system. Just a little bit. "Have I ever told you how sexy you look in a suit." Bonnie looked Damon over and bit her lip. "God I wanna fuck you so bad right now." Maybe she was completely hammered.
Alcohol already lowered most peoples inhibitions but it completely destroyed Bonnie's. Drunk Bonnie and sober Bonnie were two completely opposite people sharing the same body. Sober Bonnie was more reserved than drunk Bonnie. You would know exactly what drunk Bonnie was feeling exactly when she was feeling it and she wouldn't be scared to tell you about yourself either.
"She's celebrating." Caroline yelled over the music, explaining her friend's outburst.
"Celebrating what?"
"Her..."
"I'm celebrating life and happiness." Bonnie interrupted, she didn't want to tell Damon about her plans to be on the safe side. She didn't want him to tell Elena and Elena telling Jeremy before she got the chance to.
"While you're over here celebrating life and happiness your husband is over there celebrating some blonde's boobs." He tilted his head in the direction of the youngest Gilbert.
Bonnie looked over in that direction and shrugged, taking a sip out of her cup. She didn't care.
"Damon how many fingers am I'm holding up?" Her left hand was flat by her side and her right hand had a red solo cup clasped in it.
Damon raised his brow. "None." He answered slowly.
"That's exactly how many fucks I give right now." He chuckled. There wasn't too many times he got to see drunk Bonnie, in fact the only other time he saw her is the night they first had sex. He was starting to really like drunk Bonnie. Bonnie gave her drink to Caroline "Let's dance." She grabbed Damon's arm, pulled him into the middle of the dance floor and turned around to face him. "I love the suit but you look hot." She pulled his suit jacket off his arms and tossed it on the floor then proceeded to loosen his tie, un-tuck and unbuttoned his shirt. exposing his abs.
Bonnie then turned around and pressed herself against him as she started to move her hips.
Music was in her blood, dancing was in her blood. Bonnie closed her eyes as the music took over her senses. She swayed her hips against Damon rhythmically to the music and for the first time ever Damon Salvatore didn't know what to do with all that ass Bonnie Bennett was throwing at him. He was so entranced with Bonnie that he didn't noticed that everybody had stopped dancing and had their attention on them including his wife and her brother.
When the song ended Bonnie, whose skin was glossed with newly formed sweat, opened her eyes to see everyone looking at her. She quickly glanced around the room and caught a glimpse of Elena's and Jeremy's matching scowls.
She didn't wait for anyone to say anything and made a b line to the kitchen, ignoring the group of people who were following her.
Stefan and Lily were the only two in the kitchen still arguing about all the people she invited and how soon the cops would probably be coming any moment to shut it down and slap him with an expensive fine.
"Enjoying yourself Bonnie?" Lily asked, seeing Bonnie rush into the kitchen.
"Yeah." She answered quickly.
She really was.
The kitchen quickly filled with the group of people that were following behind her. Damon, Elena, Jeremy, and Caroline.
"I need another drink to deal with this shit." She was feeling pretty unapologetic about dancing on Damon. She didn't do anything wrong, even if Jeremy and Elena looked at her like she did.
It wasn't liked she fucked him in front of them.
Lily laughed, wondering why everybody suddenly piled up in the kitchen, why was Damon shirt open, and why did Jeremy and Elena looked at Bonnie like she committed a murder."What's wrong Judas and Erica you look like you found your spouses fucking each other." Everybody's eyes snapped to Lily who was also heavily intoxicated. Lily quickly realized her words and quickly tried to play them off "Which is fucking ridiculous."
Jeremy cut his eyes back to his wife. "What the fuck are you wearing." He'd been at the party for a while and it was the first time he'd seen Bonnie that night, he kinda sorta got distracted by a blonde name Bridget with huge boobs.
"It's called a dress Jeremy. The amount of time you spend trying to look up them I would think you knew that." Bonnie quipped.
"Excuse me." What the fuck was wrong with her, she knew better than to speak to him like that especially in front of people.
"You're not deaf. You heard what the fuck I said." Everybody sat back quietly watching this play out, fully prepared to jump in if needed.
"No." He gritted. "I don't think I heard you right. I'm hoping that's the alcohol speaking and not you."
"Pretty sure it's both." She said. "I'm surprised you noticed though. You were so into the blonde you were talking It's a wonder her tit's didn't explode from how hard you were staring at them."
"Maybe if you get some implants I'd stare at yours."
Bonnie let out a humorless laugh. "The day you get a bigger dick will be the day I get breast implants."
"Excuse me." He asked in disbelief, what ever Bonnie was drinking it was definitely some strong shit.
"Maybe you need to go see a doctors for your hearing hubby." Caroline and Lily were the only two in the room laughing silently. This was the Bonnie Caroline remembered from college and this was the Bonnie Lily was looking forward to knowing.
Stefan was watching quietly, waiting to see if he would have to break up a potential fight and Damon was waiting to see if he would have to break baby Gilbert's neck if he touched Bonnie while Elena watched quietly, absorbing everything.
"You were the virgin when we got married not me. My dick is the perfect size for you."
Bonnie sighed and turned around and picked up a cup Lily poured earlier and took a sip out. "I never said I was a virgin."
"What?"
"Seriously dude clean your fucking ears." Caroline and Lily laughed out loud this time.
"Oh my god." Lily laughed. "I love this girl."
"You heard me," Bonnie continued. "You never asked me if I was a virgin you just assumed I was, like you assumed I liked steak, you assumed you were my first love, and when you try to slip your number to the poor little blonde whose probably no older than 16 you're going to assume I don't notice and assume I won't notice when you come home and jump straight in the shower to wash her sent off of you like you do with every other skank you sleep with." She took another sip out of the cup. "A bit of advice hubby," she walked back over to Jeremy and lightly slapped him on the cheek. "When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me. Get it Jer." Bonnie laughed at her own joke. "You're an asshole."
Jeremy clenched his fist along with his teeth. "You've been drinking so I'm going to disregard that comment."
"You disregard everything else about me so why wouldn't I think you would disregard that. Well since you disregard everything try not to disregard this. You are a sorry excuse for a human being."
"Bonnie," Elena yelled. "That's enough." Bonnie was attacking her baby brother for no damn reason.
Bonnie switched her attention to the brunette "Is it really enough Elena or should I just start spilling everyone's tea."
"Okay that enough." Jeremy yelled.
Bonnie shifted her gaze back to Jeremy. "Why is that enough, because for the first time in a long time I'm speaking my mind. I hate you Jeremy, I really really hate you. I regret the day I met you, I regret the day I married you, I regret everything and I want a divorce." Taking a note from the book of Elena she dashed what was remaining in the cup on her husband and exited the kitchen.
Everyone was quite for a moment, going over what the fuck just happen. Jeremy was a mixture of angry and shocked. Elena was the same. Caroline and Lily were both so proud of her. Stefan was shocked and Damon was a in a state of shock but was also happy for Bonnie for standing up herself.
"Wow." Stefan said.
Caroline laughed. "I knew she had it in her."
"Don't listen to her Jer, she's drunk. She didn't mean anything by it." Elena said, trying to comfort her brother who didn't move a muscle.
"Shut the fuck up Elena." Caroline said. Who the hell invited her anyway. "Get the fuck out of my house and take your sorry ass brother with you. I'm going to go check on Bonnie." Caroline exited the kitchen and entered the sea of people.
"Come on Jer, let's go. You can talk to Bonnie tomorrow when she's sober." Elena said, taking her brother's hand. She looked at Damon and frowned. "We'll talk about this when we get home."
Before he could tell her to go fuck herself like he was planning to, there was a loud crash outside, the guest started spilling outside the house and the sound of sirens blaring filled their ears.
The group in the kitchen ran outside where the crowd gathered and pushed through to see what was happening.
The ambulance was there loading someone onto a stretcher, they couldn't see who it was. "Who is that?" Elena asked, trying to look over the people.
"Bonnie." Lily whispered.
Damon frowned looking at his mother beside him. "Where?"
"That's her car." Lily said pointing to Bonnie's little red sports car crushed in the middle of the road.
Bonnie. His Bonnie. His Bon Bon. Was in an accident and she could be dying or already dead for all he knew.
"Damon." Elena called out. "Damon." She called out again when he didn't respond.. "Damon." He slowly looked at Elena who was crying and looked at Jeremy who was across the street arguing with a paramedic. Elena clung unto his shoulder as the watch the ambulance driving away. "We have to go to the hospital."
The waiting room was quiet as they sat waiting for any word on Bonnie's condition. It had been 15 minutes since anyone of them got there and they didn't know if Bonnie even survived the accident and if she did what kind of injuries she sustained from the accident.
"If she dies it'll be your fault." Damon's voice pieced the silence plaguing the room.
He completely blamed Jeremy for Bonnie's accident, never mind that she was the one that was drinking and driving, Jeremy was the one to blame.
"Damon Stop." Elena warned him, it was neither the time or the place for an argument. "He's been through enough already."
"And Bonnie hasn't."
"I know what my wife has been through," Jeremy said, raising his voice and standing up." so don't try to tell me anything."
Damon stood up to face the taller Gilbert. "That should have been you in there not Bonnie, she doesn't deserve this."
"Get out of my face Damon." Jeremy warned.
Damon took a step towards Jeremy, invading his personal space. "What the hell are you going to do about if Gilbert."
"I warning you Damon if you don't move I'll."
"You'll what. Try anything and when Bonnie comes through she'll be a widow." Jeremy shoved Damon making him stumble a bit. Once he regained his footing he swung his arm, ready to hit Jeremy square in the jaw but his fist was intercepted by his baby brother.
"This isn't the time or the place." Stefan said." Bonnie wouldn't want that. Now sit your asses back into your seats and wait for a doctor to come out."When both men stubbornly refused and still stood shooting dangerous looks at each other Stefan raised his voice. "Now." He demanded.
Both of the men grumbled but complied with Stefan's demand and waited impatiently for the doctor to come out. A few minutes later a woman wearing a white lab coat and carrying a clipboard in her hand. "Mr. Gilbert." She called.
Everyone in the room for Bonnie stood up and walked towards the doctor
"How is she?" Jeremy asked.
"Your wife is very lucky. She has a broken arm, a minor concussion, 2 fractured ribs and a couple of minor cuts and bruises but those'll heal. Other than that she's going to be fine"
"Can we go see her?" Caroline asked nervously rubbing her fingers over her baby bump like she been doing since the accident.
"You could visit her in her room but she's sedated and probably won't be up until morning. She's in room 214" She informed them before walking away.
"Caroline we should get going." Stefan said taking his wife by the hand. "You need your rest and we can come back tomorrow morning." Caroline nodded and let her husband lead her out.
"I'm going home too." Jeremy said.
Elena frowned. "You're not going to stay the night Jer?" The tall brunette asked.
"Why would I stay the night when I have a perfectly comfortable bed at home."
"Because she's your fucking wife dumb ass." Damon yelled, angry at the fact that Jeremy didn't even care enough about Bonnie to even stay by her side.
Jeremy ignored his brother in law because if he didn't he would probably end up getting in another fight with him so he kept his attention on his big sister. "I'll be back tomorrow." He said, turned around and exited the hospital.
"We should get going too, Damon." Elena said.
He shook his head "No. You can go, I'm staying."
Elena sighed knowing there was no use to arguing with him about Bonnie especially because of how he was acting about her lately. "I guess i'm staying too." There was no way in hell she was going to leave them two alone, especially after the events that played out earlier.
The married coupled walked into Bonnie's room as quietly as they could, going over to the bed and looked at Bonnie who looked beaten and bruised. Damon's hand seemed to have a mind of it's own as it pushed away a stray piece of hair stuck to her face, not without Elena noticing either.
Elena cleared her throat when that mindful hand started to caress the unconscious woman's face. Damon dropped his hand to his side and looked over at his wife standing beside him "I'm going to try and get some sleep." she told him. Damon nodded while Elena walked over to the hard little hospital couch behind them, rested her head on the arm of the chair and seemingly fell asleep.
After a few minutes had passed and Damon thought that Elena was sound asleep he brought his hand back up to his lover's face."You almost died tonight," he whispered softly caressing her face with the back of his hand. "I don't know what I would do if I lost you" He swallowed a lump forming in his throat. "But, I needed to at least tell you out loud that... tell you that I love you Bonnie, even if you're not awake to hear me say it." He admitted completely unaware that someone was awake to hear him say it.
