Upon the end of their date Seras and Alucard returned to the manner to find Sir Integra and Walter awaiting them. The Hellsing heir happily presenting Seras with her first solo mission.
Howerver, the mission it seemed was nothing more than a diversion of some kind; luckily Seras was able to notice all of the signs that the soldiers had missed, and had gotten everyone out of the building before the explosion went off.
But that still left the unanswered question of who the enemy was, and just what it was that they were up to.
Alucard sat on his throne drinking his blood and thinking over current events. So far he had two enemies to deal with. One was his assumed rival for Seras's affections, there wasn't really any competition there but the boy didn't seem all that likely to give up. The other was the still unknown enemies that were creating the freak vampires.
Sadly none of these enemies seemed as though they would be any kind of a challenge, and thus as a result did not even manage to register on his radar for very long.
In the back of his mind he could feel the familiar tingle alerting him to Seras's return from her first mission without him. Integra having offered the opportunity to the adolescent as a surprise. Even though it was nothing more than a few gouls Seras had been a bit hesitant as first, but Alucard thinking that it would be a splendid way for his intended to showcase her skills had been nothing but supportive. He couldn't wait to hear about it especially considering she and the soldiers were returning sooner than anticipated.
This moment bringing up many memories for the elder vampire, more specifically Seras's first mission.
FLASHBACK
Sir Integra had just finished briefing Alucard on his latest mission, the crimson clad vampire just about to leave when his little draculina, now at the the curious age of six, came bursting into the office wearing an outfit almost identical to his own.
"Searas?" Integra questioned.
"I'm ready to go on the mission!" Sears chirped saluting the other blonde.
Integra looked down at the papers on her desk having to bite back a chuckle at the cuteness of the girl, but Walter and Alucard it seemed were not facing a similar struggle.
"You wish to kill the scum with me my little draconian?" Alucard purred.
Searas nodded egarly in response.
" , I'm afraid you're much to little to go out on missions." Walter delicately explained trying to avoid a tantrum, "the field of battle is no place for children."
"But...-" Seras tried to argue only for the butler to cut her off again.
"Absolutely not. It is much too dangerous." Walter silenced her.
"Come now Walter, do you honestly think that I would allow any harm to befall my Seras?" Alucard questioned.
His words turning the child's sulking pout into a look of reserved eyes turned to the Hellsing head whom had remained silent throughout the entire discussion.
"If Alucard will keep her safe and in his sight the entire time, I believe that this will be the perfect opportunity for Seras to learn first hand what this organization really is." The blonde woman replied, "but only this once."
"Yay!" Sears cheered at Alucard's grin of agreement.
"Shall we go my draconian?" He purred picking her up in his arms and dematerializing to the mission location to save time.

I also apologize for the cliff hanger I can't remember why but this is how these two chapters were played out when i wrote them.
