Here's the next chapter, whoo!
Anyway, thanks for the reviews, I decided I'm going AU with this, anyway, this chapter is the confrontation, been looking forward to this? I bet you all have.
Amy will confront Nia and Eric soon enough...Again, I think Amy deserves her revenge, don't you agree?
There are going to be some time skips in this chapter.
Anyway, enjoy!
Amy sat in the rec room, twirling some hair in her fingers, being adopted was still sinking in for her, she thought it was a dream until she decided to pinch herself and then winched, oh yeah, it wasn't a dream alright.
She tilted her head and looked to the ceiling. A sigh escaped her lips before smiling. Closing her eyes but then opening them when the door opened and she spotted Will.
"There you are Miss Pax." He teased.
She rolled her eyes and then smiled, shifting to allow the man to sit next to her.
"Very funny Lennox." She huffed but he could see she was teasing herself.
"How are you feeling now."
"I feel good, other than my panic attack that is."
"That wasn't your fault, your mental scars are still fresh and will take a long while to disappear."
Amy shifted to get into a more comfortable position. "I know." She muttered.
"Anyway, your parents are looking for you."
"Really? How long have I been in here for?"
"At least two hours, still hasn't sunk in huh."
"No...It's going to be odd calling Elita and Optimus mom and dad."
"You'll get used to it kiddo." He assured her as he got up from his seat, helping Amy to her feet.
The two exited the rec room and into the main hangar where she spotted Sam and Mikaela sitting on Bumblebee's hood. The yellow scout chirped when he spotted a familiar face which Amy thought was cute as she resisted the urge to squeal loudly, now that would be embarrassing.
"Better now Pax." Sam said, giving a small grin when she rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, thanks for the concern Witwicky." Amy answered, nodding.
"Good, Galloway did a jackass move to you earlier on."
Mikaela nodded. "I agree, even if he did know you've got physical and mental scarring that still wouldn't of stopped him."
The raven haired girl hummed and sat between the two when Sam scooted over for her. "Yeah, why he was hired is beyond me."
The young man snorted. "Everyone is asking that."
"Soo." His girlfriend began. "I heard you need new clothes."
The younger girl nodded. "Yeah, once the bandages come off, the clothes I got are old."
"Weren't they bought?"
"No, some of the orphans were kind enough to donate their clothes to me as Alwood wouldn't allow me to buy clothes."
"I can help you with that, but, when the bandages come off though."
"I know, I can't wait for the month to end so I can finally get these pesky bandages off."
Amy got off the Camaro. "I better assure the parents I'm fine."
"We'll see you later."
She nodded and walked off, heading to the control room to see if one of them was in there. She entered the room and looked around, but not finding the two beings they were looking for. She shrugged and turned around, exiting the control room and decided to walk down the corridor.
"Calm down, the information is still sinking in for her." Came a familiar grumpy voice.
"I know that old friend, I suppose this is how creators feel, concerned for their young." She heard her father say.
Amy bit her lip, feeling bad for making him worried, he's already got enough on his plate, she didn't want to add to said plate. She approached the two. The medic spotted her.
"See, told you she's fine." Ratchet huffed.
She gave a weak smile, tucking some hair behind her ear, making a note to get her hair cut, it was getting long and thick, it was a pain really, but she decided to wait until the bandaged came off her before thinking about getting her air cut.
"You've barely become a creator and you're being overprotective, she won't just disappear."
Amy almost wanted to laugh that her father was being scolded by the old medic but she decided not to.
It was then she suddenly realized about that soldier that was a pain in her side, she hadn't seen him for a while and decided to walk off to investigate where he was. Tapping her chin as she entered the main hangar. Amy looked around and spotted Epps and approached the man.
"Can I ask something?" She said.
"Anything kiddo." The man assured her.
"Where's that soldier? The one who hit me on my back."
"Oh...He's taken a vacation."
"Oh...That lazy asshole." She huffed as he laughed.
"I know, why you asking?"
"I was curious."
Amy looked around and then walked off, going somewhere.
Despite she was lying in bed. She couldn't sleep, her eyes were wide open, she just couldn't, was it because she had to be sedated that it affected her sleep pattern. A snort escaped her lips at the memory, stupid asshole.
A sigh escaped her lips and she kicked the cover off her and got out of bed as she left her room, maybe a walk would help her. She looked around, it was quiet, not a single sound, except for the people who were on night duty at the control room.
She walked into the main hangar and headed outside. Spotting a crate on her way out she climbed onto the crate and shifted to get into a more comfortable position. Looking up to the twinkling stars.
She leaned to the left to the other crate and simply stared at the night sky. Closing her eyes and had a smile on her lips.
She looked forward to the day when she confronts Mandy again, she knew the old had would be shocked to see she was alive and well, but she wanted the bandaged to come off first. She opened her eyes and then looked to the night sky.
"I thought I saw you runt."
Amy paused and glanced to the former con. She said nothing and looked to the sky.
"Can't sleep, it's not like I'm in pain or had a nightmare or anything, I guess because I was sedated it's messed up my sleep pattern." She mumbled softly.
Barricade grunted and stood next to the small human, a silence fell upon the two and eventually it got awkward.
"So...How's the investigating going?" She asked, hoping to break the awkward silence.
"We're getting there, by the time you confront Alwood again we'll have all the evidence we needed, and we've solved the mystery of the high electric bill."
"Already? Tell me."
"...She was growing drugs."
The teen looked at him in disbelief. "You're joking!?"
"No I'm not, Prowl isn't the type of mech to joke around when it comes to him investigating things."
"...You two work fast." She admitted.
"Why so surprised? Your adopted sire made him Second in Command for a reason."
Amy hummed and looked to the moon which was glowing brightly in the night sky.
"How many are going once the investigation is finished?"
"What? To confront Alwood, your adopted creators, Prowl and me of course and the twins, not the Chevy ones, their still on probation for almost squishing you."
"But who's gonna babysit them?"
"Ratchet is, he isn't going, there are a few mechs who missed their check up and he'll be hunting them down."
She winched and then smirked slightly. She stretched and let out a tiny yawn as she rubbed her eye and muttered something under her breath.
"Why don't you go and recharge runt."
"Stop calling me that." She muttered.
"Get used to it."
She scowled and got off the crate as she headed back indoors and towards her quarters, now she felt tired and desperately wanted to go to her bed and sleep off today's events.
Sitting up in a daze Amy mumbled and rubbed her eyes. Stretching but pausing when she realized her back was no longer hurting, before getting it treated she used to be in agony when stretching or bending down, but now she had it treated it was better, no pain, nothing. She smiled and kicked the covers off as she went to change into her usual clothes. A scowl appeared on her lips, she was looking forward to that shopping trip with Mikaela once her bandages come off and getting started with her training.
She planned to have a few lessons before getting clothes in case she came across Eric and that bitch Nia in her stroll.
Then she would show them the definition of pain.
She said nothing and exited out her room for the day.
Standing outside the medbay the nerves were getting to her.
Today was the day she was finally getting these bandages off, it had been two months since she arrived at NEST and the medic did tell her the bandages would come off in a month's time and now that time had arrived.
She looked to her hand to see it was trembling and she wasn't surprised. She placed her steady hand on the trembling one in an attempt to stop the trembling.
"Are you alright?"
Pausing she turned to face her mother who was looking at her in concern. Amy smiled slightly.
"I'm fine mama, just a bit nervous." She admitted.
Elita smiled at that and the word 'mama', it took the teen a while to call her that and to call Optimus 'papa' or 'Daddy', but she managed.
"It will be alright my little spark." The femme soothed.
Giving a small nod the teen entered the med bay where Ratchet was waiting.
"Youngling stop shaking." The medic scolded. "It won't be painful...Have you been experiencing any pain from your back?"
"No, not recently, having it treated every day for a month really helped, last night was the best I slept in a long time." Amy admitted.
She was picked off the floor and placed on a berth as she took her shirt and bra off to have the bandages removed. She sat patiently as the medic took her bandages off for the last time...Until she gets injured or hurts her back again. The bandages fell off and onto the berth.
"You're bandage free as from now."
She grinned and placed her bra and top back on as she stood up, and she got up without any pain at all on her back.
"Be careful when showering with hot water, your back will be sensitive until it adjusts to the temperature of your preferred water." Ratchet told her. "Like I said, it's scarred for life and won't go away, she hit you so hard and the whip went so deep in your skin it's left permanent scars, it's a miracle your back didn't get infected."
"Shocker." She muttered as she was placed onto the floor. "Thanks for everything doc, I owe you."
"You owe me nothing, I was simply doing my duty as a medic."
She gave a nod and left the med bay with her mother following. Amy walked into the main hangar and approached the two young adults with Bumblebee.
"You're happy Pax." Sam pointed out.
"Yeah well, I got my bandages off today Witwicky." She answered.
"Really!? A month has already been?"
"Yeah."
Mikaela squealed. "I can take you shopping now!"
"Yeah, but I'll keep these clothes to wear if I want to wear comfy clothes."
"Alright, let's try this shopping trip again...You ok with it Elita?"
The pink femme smiled. "Of course, try not to overwhelm Samuel and Bumblebee with bags now."
The two human females giggled when Bumblebee let out a whir. The humans got into the car and left base just as Optimus appeared to stand next to his sparkmate.
"They are eager to go." The mech commented.
"Well of course. Amy did get her bandages off today."
"I see, perhaps she will buy Ratchet something."
The femme giggled. "Maybe, but he doesn't want anything, he told her he was simply doing his job."
"What worries you my femme."
"I'm just a bit worried when she comes face to face with that horrid woman." She admitted.
"Little spark is strong, she may be human but she's a fighter."
"You're right."
After a lengthy shopping trip the group decided to stop at a Starbucks for a much needed break.
Amy also had a bit of a change.
The raven haired teen was sick and tired of her long hair and insisted she had it cut, it was now thin and halfway down her neck, and she felt better now all that weight was gone, also she decided to get purple highlights in her fringe.
"You know, your hair looks good." Mikaela commented. "I think short hair suits you."
"You think so?"
"Yeah
"I used to play with the boys, we used to rough and tumble, wish I had my hair cut back then."
Amy changed into some of the new clothes she brought, which was a white tube top, denim shorts and purple flip flops, she wore a sleeveless purple hoodie over her as she didn't want anyone to see the scars on her back, Sam, Mikaela and Bumblebee understood and didn't blame her, but she kept the zip down.
She took a sip of her hot chocolate, winching slightly.
"Hot." She whimpered.
"...You never drank hot chocolate before?" Sam asked her in disbelief.
"No." She answered fanning her tongue. "Never, the only drink the hag gave me was water, I was surprised they did flavoured water and it's nice and refreshing."
"I hear people complain about their lives and yet you've had a shittier one than them."
"If I told them about my life they would still bitch."
"True, some people have no idea how lucky they are."
"Some people are a bunch of ungrateful bastards." Amy snorted and took another sip of her hot chocolate.
"Some are also cruel." Bumblebee commented.
"Oh, don't I know that." She grumbled.
"How are you feeling about confronting her again?" Mikaela asked softly.
"Nervous as hell, it's been two months since I ran away, I don't know how she's going to react."
Sam smirked. "Amy, you won't be alone, you'll have your family along with you, she wouldn't dare raise a finger at you."
The teen grinned. "You're right Sammy, I wouldn't be surprised if she pissed her pants."
The small group laughed and continued to chat and drink.
The sun was beginning to set when they returned from their shopping trip. Amy got out of the Camaro and then stretched, the other two followed and got Amy's bags out of the car.
"Welcome back, enjoyed your trip?" Lennox asked before looking at the teen. "Did you have a hair cut?"
She nodded. "Yeah, my long hair was a pain in the ass, I feel better now that I got it cut."
She picked up as much bags as she could. Sam having the remaining bags and she walked off, heading towards her quarters.
"Soo...What do you want done with your clothes?" He asked her.
"Leave them in the bag, I'll sort them out tomorrow, I can't be bothered tonight."
He gave a small grin and they continued, until they reached their intended destination, the two entered the room and put the bags in a corner of the room and then left the room.
Amy stretched as she walked down the corridor and heading towards the hangar. She paused when she almost bumped into someone and looked to see who she almost smacked into. A pair of optics were looking down at her.
"Oops, sorry daddy, I wasn't watching where I was going." She apologized.
"Enjoyed your outing my little spark?" Optimus asked her.
"Yeah, I did, better than the first attempt to the shopping centre." She muttered, shuddering at the memory of seeing Nia and Eric there the first time she went. "Shame I didn't punch the two morons the first time I saw them."
He chuckled and insisted her onto his palm and walked into the main hangar.
"When will we...See her!" Amy asked, spat the word her out as if it was a bad taste in her mouth.
"Prowl's investigation is almost complete, he believes in a week time." The red and blue mech answered.
"Right, a week." Amy muttered.
"You won't be alone sweetspark."
"...I know, bad memories are going to hit me...Hard next week."
"It will be difficult, but I won't allow that woman to lay a single finger on you."
"Is uncle Hide coming along."
"I'm not sure.."
"Oh, if he did, she'll stay away, she hates it when people are more intimidating than her."
She didn't notice the glint in her father's optics, blissfully unaware as she was sitting comfortable.
"Amy~!" Sideswipe sang as he approached the two. "...You had a hair cut...Nice."
She nodded. "Yeah, my long hair was getting annoying."
"When did you get new clothes?"
"Today as soon as I got my bandages off...God you're slow."
"I just got back from patrol, this is new to me."
"Oh...Right."
She said nothing and crossed her arms.
Standing in the main hangar the nerves were really getting to her, a week had flown by and today was the day she would confront Mandy Alwood once again.
She wore a white t-shirt with a purple butterfly on, skinny jeans and red converse shoes.
"Calm down kid, you look ready to pass out." Will told her, patting her on the shoulder gently in case he triggered a panic attack.
"Yeah well, it's been two months since I've seen the hag, I'm just worried she'll drag me into the orphanage against my will and lock me in the cellar for a week."
"...She did that?"
"Yeah, the last time I tried to runaway."
"She really hates you, I wonder if we can get a confession out of her of why she hates you so much to the point she singles you out."
"Barricade thinks she's jealous of my looks."
"Jealous? We'll see, hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this."
She nodded and headed towards the Solstice, hopefully going with Jazz will help calm her nerves, she noticed the mech wasn't too fussy with music taste and she's hoping he'll play whatever she asks for.
"Ready kitten?"
"Yeah." She muttered, climbing into the vehicle.
"Ah, calm down will ya? You'll be feisty as soon as you see her tiger."
"Knowing me I will." Amy mumbled.
During the journey she kept on looking out the window as the scenery zoomed by her. She clenched her hand until her knuckles went white, relaxing them and then clenching them again, repeating the same action again, she felt this was the only way to calm her nerves.
She knew they were getting close when the welcome sign came into view. She swallowed her nerves down and breathed out through her nose.
She simply stared out the window until her expression darkened to see a familiar building, her entire childhood of hell was right in front of her and sadly it was still standing. Amy got out of the Solstice and breathed out once again. She closed the door just as the door of the orphanage opened.
"Oh, so you're back, was the world too much for you." Mandy taunted.
"No, it was better than being with an old bitch like you!" She spat with venom.
"What did you say!?"
"You heard me you old hag! This big world is better than you! I met people who care about me unlike you!"
The older woman stormed down the stairs and attempted to grab her upper arm but Amy dodged with ease thanks to the lesson on dodging someone going to grab her upper arm Arcee taught her a week before arriving here.
"Don't touch me again!" She spat.
"You little runt, get inside!"
The teen sneered. "I don't have to, you're not the boss of me anymore."
She was about to grab her again but a hand grabbed her wrist.
The two looked to see it was Ironhide in his holoform and Amy was filled with glee to see the colour on Mandy's face disappear.
"Don't touch my niece."
The teen crossed her arms while the older woman looked on disbelief.
"N-Niece!?"
"You heard me!"
"Mandy Alwood." Simmons said, the raven haired teen had recently met the man.
"What!" She spat.
His expression darkened. "I suggest you think wisely of how you speak to me ma'am, I can have you locked up within minutes."
The woman paled and Amy wanted to laugh but she put an emotionless face on like she did before she ran away the second time.
"Now I'm here with officer Paul and Barry with concern about miss Pax here."
"Miss Pax?"
Amy smirked slightly. "Oops, forgot to mention I got adopted when I ran away, Paul was kind enough to gather adoption papers and they got signed."
She almost laughed at Mandy's expression again but noticed the older female shrunk. She turned her head to see Sunstreaker glaring at her. Nodding she looked to the building.
"So, this is the place." Chromia commented before frowning. "This place is miserable."
"Go inside, it's even more miserable."
"Think you can handle it?"
Amy nodded weakly. "Yeah."
"We'll go with her." Sideswipe assured the femme who was in her holoform.
The trio headed up the stairs, leaving the adults to discuss. The door opened with a creak and the three stepped inside.
Cracks appeared on the corner of each walls, wallpaper was peeling at the corners and one piece of wallpaper was missing, sat before them was a desk, two doors were on each side of the walls and behind the desk was stairs leading upstairs.
"This place is a dump!" Sunstreaker said flatly.
"And miserable." Sideswipe added.
"And yet this is where I spent most of my childhood." She sighed.
She walked up the stairs as they creaked, winching she kept on going until she made a beeline to a familiar room to her. She stepped inside and headed to her old bed. She went rummaging through a draw and smiled slightly to find a book and key. She took the two and placed the key into her jeans pocket.
"What's that?" Sideswipe asked her.
"A diary...My diary, the hag thought she got rid of it, well she's gonna be proved wrong." She muttered.
The three left the room and went back downstairs, they followed her until she came to a stop at a door. They didn't miss the dark expression on her face as she opened the door with a creak, a chill ran up her spine as soon as she stepped inside and walked down the stairs with the twins following.
"What is this room?"
"...The room where I got my marks on my back from."
She stood by the entrance while the two investigated.
"This wall has dry blood." Sunstreaker muttered. "Were you the only one to get punished?"
"No, before I was five others older than me would get punished here, so it could be their blood." Amy answered as another chill ran up her spine and this time she didn't bother hiding the shiver.
"Let's go, this room is gloomy and giving me the creeps."
They left the room and back into the lobby. Amy shifted the book and looked around, the memories were hitting her hard like bricks. She cringed and made a beeline for the entrance with the twins following, it didn't take a genius to figure out returning here was affecting her badly.
She stepped into the fresh air and breathed a sigh of relief. She held up a book as Mandy paled.
"I-Impossible! I thought I threw that away!" She cried.
"Well I went to get it, thought you could throw away the vital evidence." The teen sneered.
She could see the old hag was now officially intimidated, especially around her aunt and uncle.
"Mandy Alwood you are arrested for drug trafficking, growing the illegal substance, child neglect and everyone's least favourite child abuse, anything you say will be used in court."
She was startled a police officer was at the scene and handcuffed the woman, said woman began to scream as she was lead to the police car, she had to guess Prowl called an officer over.
"It was nice working with you officer Paul, Barry." The policeman said. "And Thank you for the evidence."
He got in the police car and drove off. Mandy glaring at Amy with hatred, she wasn't fazed and kept her stoic appearance on, watching the police car drive away.
"So...What will happen now?" Amy asked softly, clutching the diary.
"A date for the trial will be set, this won't go unpunished, as a matter of fact, I am tracking down the orphans who used to be here and inform them." Prowl explained.
"Wait, what will happen to the hag?"
"She will be placed in jail until the trial, she has no bail whatsoever."
"Oh...Alright."
An arm wrapped around her neck and she saw it was Sideswipe. "I say we go off and celebrate for her arrest and you not punching her face in and keeping cool about it."
She raised an eyebrow. "And we should do..."
"Welll, there's always that skate park."
"Sweet!"
"Sideswipe." Optimus sighed.
"Don't worry, we'll bring her back before it gets dark, right bro?"
"Whatever." Sunstreaker muttered.
Amy never had the chance to look at her father's holoform and now she did.
He was tall, and appeared to be in his thirties, she was surprised to see he had black hair like hers, a red jacket with blue flames, just like the design of his real form, jeans and brown shoes. The Autobot insignia was on the buckle of his belt.
She said nothing and handed the diary to Elita.
"Mama will you hold this until I get back, I'll keep the key with me."
She got a nod and a smile. "Don't cause too much trouble."
"Who? Me or the twins?" Amy asked.
Her mother giggled while Sideswipe pouted. She climbed into the silver Lamborghini and they left the curb with Sunstreaker following not far behind. She smiled and looked out the window, seeing Mandy's reaction of being arrested was priceless.
All she had to do now was get justice.
And done, man this took me a while to write up but who cares! It's done.
There, the confrontation is over! And yes I decided Amy's hairstyle was going to change slightly.
I think it's time to say hello to the soldier who was nothing but trouble to Amy next chapter, what do you say?
Thanks for reading guys, please review.
