After their kiss, Kagome was ripped from Sesshomaru's embrace and pressed into her cousin's arms who sobbed.

"Never do this again!" Sango said, crying her heart out.

Kagome laughed lightly as she returned the intense hug. "Sorry."

Once they all had realized she wasn't gone, and had returned as Kagome, everyone hugged her. But in the end, Sesshomaru snatched her away from Inuyasha who held her too long. He glared at his brother and Touga sighed.

"Welcome back, Kagome." he said with a smile.

Kagome responded with a dazzling smile of her own. "Thank you, Touga-san."

Sesshomaru held her closer. He finally had her, now he wouldn't let her go. Never again would he lose her. Never again.

...

All were surprised when shortly after their reunion Naraku's car came back and a laughing driver jumped out, followed by a young girl with white hair and wide dark eyes.

Kagome ran over to meet them and the three fell into a hug.

"Thank you." Kagura said with tears in her eyes. "Thank you."

"Kagome-nee-san!" the small girl cheered and Kagome quickly laughed and held her in her arms.

"I am glad you two are alright." she said warmly. "Really glad."

"Er..." Touga cleared his throat. "Kagome?"

The three former captives of Naraku laughed lightly.

"Sorry." Kagome said, a wide smile on her face. "Everyone, these two are the sisters Kagura and Kanna. They helped me the last two weeks in Naraku's custody."
Sesshomaru couldn't suppress the need to keep Kagome close, so he ignored the small girl in her arms and embraced her from behind.

Kanna fearfully looked at the tall man. Kagome smiled, bent down to Kanna's ear and whispered: "He only looks so tough. Inside he's a big softie." The girl giggled at the obvious exaggerated statement but relaxed.

Kagome leaned back into Sesshomaru's tall form and smiled as she closed her eyes.

Kagura smiled warmly. "I am glad you haven't left for the other realm, Kagome." Kagura softly said.

"Oh. I am too. It was actually a small wish I made to the gods. I didn't know if I would be able to turn back, but mom allowed me to. So, I just did." Kagome shrugged her shoulders. "I guess if you're a deity things are just that simple."

"Mom?" Miroku asked with wide eyes. "You mean..?"

Touga and the rest gaped at her. "Well, she is my mother, isn't she? She gave birth to my soul. And my biological mother became a part of her. So, anyway you think of it, she's my mom."

"The daughter of the gods." Touga whispered. "That's just unbelievable."

Kagome smiled. "I am still a goddess too, on the inside." she reprimanded Touga slightly. "I just decided to favor my past and be human."

Sesshomaru couldn't suppress the shudder he felt. She was still a deity? So she could always leave him again?

Touga nodded slowly. "I see. But what about your powers?"

Kagome laughed warmly and grinned. "Sealed. With my divine side. I'd actually need a big miracle or the work of all the gods to release that seal. Not like I want to."

The older Taisho son relaxed. It was sealed away. She wouldn't leave again. He buried his nose into her hair once more and fit his body against hers.

Kagome successfully suppressed a blush and congratulated herself. Any other day before and she'd been reduced to a blushing mess without bones. I mean... the love of her life held her as close as he could and didn't want to let go apparently. But after some really life-changing events, she guessed her heart became stronger.

She handed Kanna over to Kagura who just grinned and gave a thumbs up. Sango was still happily crying in Miroku's arms. Inuyasha and Kouga were bickering as usual and Touga was talking to the police force. She slowly turned in Sesshomaru's arms so they faced each other.

He bent down to rest his fore-head against hers.

"Never leave me." he declared heatedly. "Never. Promise."

She smiled warmly, finally a blush came through. "I promise. Never."

He sealed her promise with a searing kiss that made his heart soar to the heavens and she returned his kiss with burning love.
