D Gray-man: Shadow of The Sins
There it is… sorry for the short chapter, had to change the script a little.
Small reminder: I do not forget any character! Lavi is out there, you just need to wait and see it XD.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything related to both Bleach and D Gray-man. They belong to their respective authors.
Following the events of the last chapter…
The past had been told… Allen and the others finally discovered their reason on that Dimension; but, the truth still remains a long mystery. Something or someone has been influencing the events along the story and everyone has a role to play; still, this is only the beginning... Unknown to our heroes, horrors conspire in the shadows…
Chapter 11: Conflict…
Somewhere above the Skies…
"AAARGHH!" A raging voice echoed on the room; apparently someone is going through an agonizing experience.
"Now now stand down, it will be over quickly~" spoke the enigmatic leader of the Akuma.
"THEN DO IT FAST DAMNIT!" In middle of that surreal environment in the Ark, the Earl of the Millennium and Road Kamelot were tending a two certain Noahs nearby a bed. After that deadly encounter with Neah Walker, both Tykki and Sheril managed to retreat safely albeit sustaining many grievous wounds. Upon arriving yesterday, they immediately collapsed on the floor; while the former was just tired and exhausted from his full transformation, Sheril was completely immobilized due the corruption of Void Matter draining his life.
Despite the intense pain burning down the core of his heart, Sheril simply refused to be defeat and die in that condition… there was something whispering in his mind, raging out unconditional desire for revenge. With such strong determination to struggle on, he managed to stay conscious while the Earl proceeded to bring him up to his feet.
"Hmm… it has been a while since I've felt this in my hands~" he commented manipulating the black substance spread on Sheril chest.
"This is…" And recognizing the energy, Road wondered as the Earl admired with taste.
"Yeah… the Fourteen's power, so wonderful, so beautiful…"
"(Urg… What's the big deal on that anyway?)" Thought Tykki uninterested over nearby bed; those constant screams around woke him up from a delightful dream. Unlike Sheril, most of his wounds has been dealt with but still wasn't good enough for fighting though.
"GUURRG!" and pulling it up, the Earl concentrated all the Void Matter on his hand and formed a floating orb that began absolving the remains. The process was extremely painful; Sheril could feel his chest getting torn apart as the malevolent force latched with impunity to resist; it struggled for quite some time, but even so, the fatso extracted the remains with little effort.
"Okay it's finished~" Recovering breath, Sheril stood up and began stretching his body for a second, it looks like everything was really fine; aside from the missing arm he lost and the intense exhaustion, the body was lighter and mobile again.
"So how it is?" asked Road casually.
"Bad… Looks like Papa really messed up" he replied remembering last night loss; he not only lost control of his powers but also failed to… "bring"(¬¬), the target back home.
"Well, it happens. That just shows you still have much to grow yet~" commented the Earl looking friendly before the sudden change on his Reiatsu, made Sheril and the others shiver in fear.
"Still… You shouldn't play with the rules, my son. I know what bad things you're planning…" And locking eyes to each other, Sheril could feel a force invading his mind. The Earl trapped his son in a mental illusion; there was void surrounding the lone Noah until countless dark spears suddenly materialized from every direction to impale him.
"ARGH! (Damnit… did he figured out?)" Thought Sheril in agony. He screwed up… the Earl already knew what kind of plan he had in mind… Since the day he knew that Neah nearly destroyed the Clan, Sheril couldn't trust the Earl's decision of bringing him back. It felt illogical… how come one can forgive a betrayer so easily? That's madness, it's something he refused to accept without a reason. So searching for answers, he kidnapped the current members of the Bookman Clan for questioning; from them, he learnt the kind of person his target was… and with an intense hatred, he made his choice to kill him…
"You're playing a dangerous game, my son" Spoke a voice in the shadows, but Sheril didn't mutter a word while suppressing the pain.
"I'll let it pass this time, but remember… my eyes are everywhere… better not regret anything" And back to reality, the Earl left him to be mentally tortured as punishment; It happened in a split second. Road merely saw his father lowering his head in silence, and unlike Tykki, she had no idea of what the Earl meant leaving her curious about it; she only didn't ask anything because once angry, you really don't wont to face that fatso directly.
"So, what now Earl? Boya still out there alive; there's no Innocence on him anymore, so it should be easy" suggested Tykki with a positive look.
"No… there something bothering me lately~" For their surprise, the manic obsessed fatso, who now has the chance of getting what he cried years for, simply rejected showing no remorse or regret on the choice.
"Eh? Something?" he wondered.
"Yeah, there's a secret out in this world, I'm interested to explore it~" And hearing that, Tykki sweated in annoyance, he didn't like to think he went out risking his life for nothing, but… what he choice he had?
"Hmm, are you sure? You're letting to boya go, you know"
"I know, but there's nothing to worry after all. Neah will eventually come for me, we'll just need to wait"
"If you say so…" Then, checking the silly clock over the wall, the Earl proceeded to leave; there was something big planned in that morning and he didn't wanted to be late.
"Alright, time to go Road-chan, I have a friend waiting for me~"
"Oh who is it?"
"A very interesting person, his name is… oh! Right, Aizen Sousuke~" and finishing the speech, the Earl began to laugh maniacally; he left hopping like a child as he meet with the rest of the Clan there on the hall. A shard gate reveals their destination; it lies on a vast desert where a Dome fortress awaits in the middle of nowhere…
Meanwhile back on Black Order's HQ…
The scientists on the lab rushed left and right on a hurry; they worked through thousands and thousands of paper layering out from the machines. It was another tough day as they put effort on the research after Lenalee and the others disappeared.
After that strategic meeting the higher ups had a day ago, Romui became relentless in leading the research; he became more serious, working and assisting the others as necessary that most men around didn't even recognize the misleading joker anymore. It was a motivation that drew them together into follow his steps in the search of the truth. So, putting whatever little faith they had in heart into him, the Black Order was slowing recovering back to its memorable first steps.
Hanging over the desk, the Division Head Reever and Asian Branch Supervisor Bak were filtering the data; together, they investigated every detail that was possibly relevant to what's inside the Ark Dimension. Plane Swifts, Massive Destruction, Weird Monsters and Sudden Spikes of energy… With every single clue in hands, they managed to remotely track the source of the incident into the Garden Tower using a more resilient specialized Golem.
"! This is…" and rushing into Komui's office, both scientist invade the room and quickly spill out the good news.
"We've found it! There's an open door in the uppermost floor of the Tower!" mentioned Reever with enthusiasm.
"We don't know where it leads but I'm sure that Lenalee and the others went through it!" followed Bak with the explanation. Reading the papers, Komui drew a smile in relief; now they're a step closer into finding what happened to his beloved sister. The data revealed far more than they expected: Aside from the inexplicable plane swifts the Ark suffers from, there's a mysterious gate-like door located at a tower in middle of the city. Absolving energy from what's believed to be the Ark's core, the gate unlocks itself and reveals some kind of environment of sort that changes every single swift; sometimes it's a large city, sometimes an old town but recently they also saw an desert.
"Hmm… Any idea where these places lead to?" asked Komui curious.
"No… it will take quite some time to pinpoint them on the map" replied Reever annoyed.
"I see… what about you Bak?"
"It's strange…" he commented reasoning.
"Huh?"
"Those places shown by the gate… If they lead to somewhere in this world, why we can't contact Lenalee-chan and the others?" spoke Bak. Considering that Kanda has the latest communication device in hands, it's impossible for the Black Order to not be able to track their location. Unless Noah is involved, there's a possibility that the Exorcist went through a completely different World, the Ark itself is the only clue for such suggestion.
"It's just a theory but with what little we know about the Ark, I believe that Gate actually leads to somewhere else, another place or dimension we couldn't possibly know about. To conclude, if that door is extracting energy for the Ark's core…"
"Then what kind of things the Ark can do when it's power is at peak?" finished Reever following the thought. And certainly, it was a viable option to consider; Komui and the others wondered if exploring deeper inside would be their next step. It is safe? It is possible to return? What is possibly waiting in there? What about the monsters? Do they come from that place as well? No one knows.
"Another Dimension eh?" commented Komui before reaching a conclusion, "Very well, listen, for now let's keep quiet about this from the Central. Who knows how they would react… until them, you two go and continue the investigation normally, we have to know what kind of situation we're dealing with it"
"Okay, then I'll be going-" but intruding into the office…
"Excuse me…" LeVerrier, together with 2 assistants waiting outside, made his way to meet with them; and as expected, just his presence was far enough to draw scowls and serious gazes from Komui, they still haven't solved that discussion from before.
"Inspector…" allowed Komui deeply annoyed.
"The Central has sent a message this morning, it's orders from the Pope. The investigation concerning the Ark is cancelled… All personnel shall cease their actions and return their posts until further orders…"
"What!?" retorted Bak looking disturbed just like the others, "What bullshit is this?"
"You heard it very well. The Central determined that the Ark is now a lost cause. It's imperative that we should retreat and remain cautions for possibly other events given time" And finishing the sentence, LeVerrier could feel the anger coming from the men around him; but he still kept a strong posture and refused to show any hesitation from the stress over him.
The situation was rough… Komui knew that by cancelling the investigation, all the effort spent to bring back precious friends would be thrown away like it was nothing. That was unacceptable, from all things the Central has done until now, How come they easily sacrifice lives for own ends? Haven't they learnt anything from past mistakes? In a rage breaking point, Komui simply gave a deadly stare and audaciously demanded.
"What about my sister?"
"Those lives determined as missing due the Ark incident, now are classified as dead until otherwise. Any attempt to search or investigate on their behalf will be considered treason. Be known that waste of resources or time won't be… tolerated…" And hearing those words, Komui snapped… the usually calm, mischievous but caring Supervisor Komui Lee stood up and smashed the desk in frustration.
"Why… WHY THEY'RE DOING THIS!?"
"K-Komui-" called Bak startled.
"Why!? What kind of man you are!? Forcing us to abandon comrades, forcing us to abandon friends! What fucking shit is this!? Haven't you said yourself that capturing the Ark was our first step against the Earl and his goddamed Akuma!? Damn! What I'm supposed to do?" The trash talk was intense; none of them ever thought they would see something like this to happen. Anger took control of Komui for a few seconds until he lost breath; it wasn't over yet, he wanted scream his heart off and tell LeVerrier to fuck off but after calming down, it was clear for him that this would end in nothing.
"Are you done?" spoke LeVerrier somewhat unfettered; the others merely stood in silence unable to answer while Komui lowered his head.
"In order to win a war, patience is must necessity for a leader… That's all I've to say, excuse me…" and with no more words, he merely turned around and left them alone. Seeing how the Supervisor reacted, LeVerrier wondered alone about his own objectives… Along with Komui, he also felt that the Central went a little too far; losing the Ark is the same as sending humanity to step one, it's devastating disadvantage. And that along with the limited military power the Order has, the war itself is a true lost cause, there's no hope in struggling.
"(Damn… Where are you Link…)" Unable to understand the Central's decision, LeVerrier proceeds to return back into Vatican… If there's a reason behind all this mess, then he had to search it alone…
Meanwhile in middle of nowhere…
A barren, forgotten land stretches in the horizon… marked by its sea of sand and covered by an eternal moonlight; there it was the Hueco Mundo, the homeland of Hollows. Cold breezes of wind blows in the sky as a lizard digs itself out from a hole and stares the surroundings; he made a few steps here and there before a sudden spike of Reiatsu scares it away back to underground. A flock of horrendous black monsters infested somewhere nearby… The Hollows were marching around, releasing echoes of screams while chasing a shadow into a forest.
Surrounded by crystal-like trees, Howard Link ran up for his life while dodging any tackles or blows in the way; with his advanced physical prowess, he jumps around branches and manages to avoid his pursues, disappearing in dash. It has been a whole day since he entered in the Ark and made his way into this Dimension; facing monsters he never saw in life, Link fought alone while trying to discover Allen's location.
It was a long fight, while they were easy to destroy, their numbers seemed limitless in a never ending stream that he had no choice other than flee, stumbling into the Senkaimon on the way. Now lost into an unknown place with possibly no chance of returning, he determined that surviving became a priority until he could find a lead somewhere.
"*Huff… Huff*(there's nothing in this place…)" he thought hiding in a corner; things were bad, he was exhausted, panting harshly while staving due hunger. So, checking the little pocket on his back, he grabs a white pill and ingests it down to recover some stamina. It doesn't replace the necessary nutrients a body needs but the energetic boost is useful, allowing Link to remain ready for the next few hours; but there's a problem…
"(That was my last pill…)" Supplies don't last forever and with each second ticking through time, the chances he have to survive decreases; it's inevitable. So, moving on, Link makes his way deeper into the forest while sneaking around the gruesome beasts in silence; being trained as a CROW, he easily cross the path moving from each blind sides without been seen; everything went greatly for a while once a Hollow from nowhere lands on his path and reveal his location.
"Heh, found you, invader…" threatened the Adjuchas Hollow spotting his presence.
"Urg!" Reacting quickly, Link immediately creates distance tries to hide again, but after being detected, the hollows began to converge, isolating the area in a concave. There was no way to avoid them without getting seen, so Link merely waited in the shadows out from their sight. However, before an opening shows up, the same Wolf-like Adjuchas approaches nearby and starts to sniff in the air.
"…I know you're there, I can sense your Reiatsu from a mile, Get out!" demanded the monster, but Link simply ignored.
"If you're not coming… then-" Opening his mouth, some kind of red ball materialized from an impressive energy.
"That is…" and pointing at his location, the monster fires a beam of cero that reduced everything single thing on the path into dust. Revealing himself, Link lands nearby at sight of all the other Hollows who stared eager to devour him. That was close, sensing the true danger behind that flashy attack, he immediately changed position to escape but never expected that it would so destructive, piercing the dark skies with ease. Link merely stared with shock as he didn't knew those kinds of creature existed.
"You pesky thing…" and with a signal, "Go! Tear him into pieces!…" the lesser hollows under his command charged forward to confront the lone agent. Unable to avoid them anymore, Link takes a stance and extends his hidden blades for the fight. It was one sided… trained with a superior speed and quick wits, Link tears through the waves with little effort at all; the hollows couldn't follows his movements and were getting destroyed as he forces an exit to try escape.
"(I have to hurry…)" There was no time, the energetic boost from the pill do last hours, but only if the user doesn't overextend his body; things like fighting tends to waste lot of stamina, so if he kept there for too long, everything will be over is a few minutes. Knowing that, Link makes his way toward the least concentration of Hollows and pushes forward; dispatching 3 of them on the way before he got ambushed.
"You won't escape!" And flashing behind him, the Adjuchas claws downward forcing Link to turn around and defend, but the cheer force from the blows sent him flying directly to a tree.
"Heheheheh, what? That's all you've got?" mocked the Adjuchas confident to a slightly injured CROW. It was a clean hit but still it wasn't deep enough, so most of the damage came from the crash. Now Link was cornered, the hollows around closed the gap while the Adjuchas approaches alone. His power is indeed something to be feared, there was no choice other than facing the beast… with his body is already showing signs of extra fatigue, he had to do something before it is too late.
"You've been a pest for quite some time but now it's over... I'm going to kill you myself, be grateful!" and charging forward in a lightning dash, the Adjuchas engages with a slice but misses as Link intercepts and dodges with a jump; then counterattacking, the beast turns around and blocks, pushing Link backwards into the clutches of his minions.
"Damn…" Recovering balance, Link immediately decapitates the four unfortunate Hollows surrounding him before noticing the presence from the sky. The Adjuchas then, comes crashing down the ground and nearly smashes the little human, but Link managed to backflip in time. It was a tough fight, the Adjuchas presence is really changing the flow of the battle; despite being somewhat slow in reaction, his movements are extremely fast(due Sonido); it's hard to follow up with a consistent pattern for a counter.
But even so, keeping on with a straight mind, all he needed was an opening, something so that he could neutralize his opponent and finish him off. That was when it happened, after the Adjuchas tried to flank from behind, some kind of paper strips suddenly appeared and surrounded his body.
"Hijutsu… Shibare Bane!(Secret Art… Binding Wings!)" Casting the spell, an intense burst of gravity immobilized the Adjuchas.
"W-what!?" Caught off guard, he could only see in shock as the puny human turned around to settle the end.
"You've underestimated me… there are things far scarier than a little demon like you…" and with a deadly glare, "Nijuu Hane: Akaiho!(Second Feather: Red Blaze)" the Hollow was scorched into ashes by an instantaneous explosion. It was so bright that, Link kept a certain distance to avoid the heat while the other minor monsters fled in terror. Now alone in middle of that hopeless world, the lone agent proceeded to leave, but as expected, he was drained up… his vision became blurry and his eyes felt heavy, Link was on verge of collapsing due exhaustion.
"(This is bad… I'm losing conscience…)" and forcing his steps, he tries to struggle on, "(No…I still…My mission… I must…)" but unable to maintain himself, Link faints on ground while the sand flows silently into his face. He was completely defenseless and vulnerable as two other shadows appear in an instant; they stare at the body for a second before deciding to drag him away to far place…
Back into Urahara's Store…
After such long and interesting story, Allen and the others kept silent for a second thinking about what is going to happen on the next days. With many questions left unanswered, it was quickly determined that waiting was the best option at moment; but still, they can't just stay there and do nothing, great battles are going to come and apparently, the Noah aren't the only enemies they going to face, training is a must necessity. Knowing that, Urahara takes the group to a certain place in the store. Dispatching Yoruichi for another errand, they head down a long ladder into underground, but really, none of them would ever expected where it leads to.
"… Is this… eh?" commented Allen completely shocked at the scene. The group was now is some sort of… desert, complete with a vast horizon, boulders and mountains in distance, there's even a sky full of clouds everywhere, all below the ground of the little store.
"Impossible! How-how come it's even possible?" he continued in confusion.
"Well, we had the same reaction. Quite impressive isn't?" spoke Roufa awkwardly.
"Y-yeah, more or less"
"Hmm, if you think for a little, it isn't a big of deal, its just a big hole with a sky on it" commented Shifu calmly as the rest sweated.
And while distracted for a second, tremors began to shake the ground due the clashing pressure of Reiatsus far off in distance. Allen could see a cloud of dust from an explosion rising as something happened; there was a tall man with dark skin fighting against a huge snake beast made from what appears to be bamboo or bone spike segments with a large crown of fur over the neck. It's presence was crushing, Allen never felt so much Innocence energy concentrated in one spot; the snake was easily pushing and overwhelming the man with no effort at all.
"W-What happening, is that a huge snake!?" yelled Rikei surprise while Urahara kept silent; for some reason, he was very serious showing concern as they observed. Somewhere on top of a boulder, another man revealed itself. From the looks of it, it was a Shinigami with a long spiky crimson hair tied in ponytail; his name is Abarai Renji, current lieutenant of the Sixth Division under orders of the Captain Kuchiki Byakuya. And inspecting closer, Allen couldn't believe, despite that distance, he could see it, that person was holding the tip of the snake as a handle for his sword; it's clear that he is the source of the immerse Reiatsu as the huge Zanpakutou was deeply in sync with him, ready to lunge at given moment.
"What wrong, tired already Sado Yasutora?" taunted Renji, "Don't you think it's a little too late to take a nap?"
But bursting out from the debris, "Not yet…" retorted the said one ready for more. Renji could only smile after seeing such determination.
"Good!" Pressing forward, he throws the snake at his opponent and engages in battle. However, by mustering his power, Sado clenched his fist and charged straightly to the head of the beast. His arm changed, becoming larger in black armor and brimming with energy that in a single punch, he managed to blast the snake away in a explosion.
"Heh! Not bad" he praised as Sado smiles confident, ""But still not enough!" And as they fought, Allen could only stand and watch in admiration.
"That Innocence… amazing…" he commented as the others nodded in agreement. But observing how disadvantageous the situation was, they kinda felt pity… the snake was easily throwing Sado out left and right, crashing thought the terrain with little to no chance of retaliation; that fight is seen as a hopeless test of strength.
"Isn't that too harsh? Sado-kun is deeply hurt, if this continues…" spoke Lenalee worried but Urahara remained serious. With the group deciding to act, he stopped them on track.
"This is necessary, he's spending everything in this training for the sake of his friends" he lectured, "You guys should know it right? In order to make a step forward, one has to face the challenge himself" and thinking through it, Allen began to remember his past a little. He saw himself as Sado, facing a stronger enemy to evolve, just like he fought Fou when his Innocence was shattered in hands of Tykki. With that known, the others had their own thoughts themselves… they know what it takes to protect a loved one and surely it isn't easy.
"Soon enough, there will be a long battle in this city… I brought you all down here because I wanted to ask: Do you guys have what it takes to face this challenge?" He asked wanting to confirm their current feelings.
But before Allen could answer it, "Damn right we have!" Kanda replied with his Katana in hand coming from behind. It appears that while the group was chatting earlier in the morning, he found and kept training alone around in the area, his clothes were clearly tattered and dirty.
"Oh? And what makes you so sure of it?"
"I don't care, simple as that. If there's an enemy in my way… I just need to slice it down, that's all" And hearing that, Urahara grinned slightly. It wasn't the best words for inspiration but it was enough to tell they're indeed with hearts ready.
"I see…" and with that, approaching closer, Kanda locked eyes with Allen showing a fierce death glare for the white boy. After all he has seen last night, Kanda was unsure of what to do exactly… seeing how his friend no longer has a Innocence or arm, he wondered about the Fourteen intentions. Should he "save" Allen right now? Should he wait to see what it happens? What about the others? How they feel about this? Those were the questions; he didn't know the correct choice.
"What wrong?" asked Allen uncomfortable, just before he feels the blade over his neck ready to decapitate him at any moment. Noticing that, the others immediately panicked in worry while Urahara merely observed curious.
"K-kanda? What you're doing?" called Lenalee scared. Allen froze on the spot, his eyes are dead open in fear and shock but still silent with no reaction.
"Are you… the Fourteen?" demanded Kanda not showing any hesitation. With no other option left, he made a choice of his own… And that was when it happened…
"Oi… that's dangerous you know" Grabbing the blade off, Kanda gasped when he saw Allen raise a smile, "with such thing… you might get hurt" Out of nowhere, he changed… not in appearance or presence, but it was clear… everyone saw it; that person didn't felt like Allen at all.
"Damn you!" Taunted Kanda just about to slice him up when Allen recovered conscience and instinctively jumping backwards. All happened in a split second, eyes were upon the amputated little white boy who trembled in shock realizing the situation; Neah took control for just one second without any warning as felt trapped in cage forced to watch his own actions.
Once again he remembered the true danger… He is the Fourteen, and since he could turn out at any moment, he was supposed to be far away from his friends, fleeing from the Order, unable to return until he have dealt with Neah so that he can shape his path as a Exorcist to save the World.
"I… I… (It's not true… No, no, no, no… that's impossible… it's wrong!)" And seeing Allen in such despair, Kanda backed off and waited. The others around looked extremely worried and tried to help.
"Walker-san!" Called Roufa reaching him, only to be rejected and bashed away as Allen created distance.
"Don't come!... Don't come near me…" he threatened with tears surfacing on his eyes.
"Are you running away?" spoke Kanda approaching to confront him, "Are you planning to escape and ditch us again?" But Allen was direct with him.
"I can't run away… while I'm still myself, I'll fight as an Exorcist! That's why this… this is best way" It felt hopeless. it appears they couldn't change his mind, Allen has indeed decided to flee away alone completely ignoring the feeling of his friends that despite knowing the terror of a Noah, they kept faith on him. That's what Kanda wanted to know… in such situation, he wanted to know what the others would do after witnessing themselves the truth before reaching a conclusion.
"Is that so? heh, you look pathetic Moyashi…" mocked Kanda sheathing back his blade, "Do you really think, we're going to give up?"
"No, I just-" but before he could even speak, the others stepped in and began to speech their thoughts.
"Yeah, that's right! We ain't going to give up yet!" Yelled Rikei inspired.
"Have you forgot? We've got your back" followed Shifu over his shoulder.
"We are your friends! And as friends, we want to help you!" affirmed Johnny sitting formally. All of them with smiles and tears forming together as Allen felt what they meant.
"Allen-kun, that time…I should have stopped you myself, after seeing how much you have suffered because the Noah, I wanted to help but I couldn't… I couldn't be on your side… I was so painful not be able see your face in all these months…" cried Lenalee before cleaning her tears, "but right now I have another chance… and I'm not letting it go away, not again!"
"Me neither!" finished Roufa unable to say anything better.
"… … Eh? … Eh?" and having seen such determination from those true friends, Allen blushed uncontrollably. There were no words to describe the feeling he had in heart; its touching… so touching that he felt guilty for the choices he had made.
"Wow, that's quite some friends you got there" commented Urahara stepping in, "So, what you're going to do?"
"… about that…" and thinking for a second, all of them already know it…even with all the drama centered on him, the problem still persists… Neah has already awakened, and just like it happened a few minutes ago, he could overtake Allen's mind at any moment to fulfill his own ambitions. Escaping or not, It's only a matter of time before his mind gets fully eroded into nothing… he had to do something otherwise this would be the end.
"If you don't mind I have an idea" he suggested raising interests, "It's only a theory though, but if it works, then I believe you might get your powers back once again"
"Eh!? It is possible?"
"Who knows? It's a matter of probability… no… it's more like a gamble…Your choice" But without even be able to explain why, Allen already made his mind up; if he wants to continue on as an Exorcist, he had to keep walking.
"I'll take it"
"So it's decided then. Allen Walker, you'll become… a Shinigami!" And from there, our Heroes wondered themselves: Allen, becoming a Shinigami. Sounds ridiculous at first but there was no choice. A Dangerous test awaits for him as this gamble can possibly take his life, but still, it has been decided. Do Allen will succeded? Will he really recover his powers? What about Neah? Do he will intervene? Who knows, all it matter is how things are going to turn from there and surely… the worst still has to come…
TO BE CONTINNUED
Long Note, feel free to ignore…
Well there is it…Quite the short Chapter huh? Really, you guys don't have an idea how its was hard to write up everything… for one second I thought I got another Writer block. Segments simply as a mere casual dialogue after fight scene felt like facing the End of the World in your hands, it hard! Nothing came in mind!
Luckily, after taking a few breaks here and there, things solved themselves out… or that what I just hope. Now to the story…
You may notice how weird this chapter became, there's 3 different segments coupled together completely abandoning the main road for the first half of the story. Reading for a while, it felt ugly… I didn't like it very well but as I wrote, i noticed that if continued it up, the chapter would become ridiculously big (like you know… 20k words) to merely let the things flow with detail. I had to do something to maintain control, so again, I'm sorry if the chapter was bad.
About the characters: NO, I have not forgotten about Lavi and bookman XD. In fact, if notice for a second, they actually makes their first off-screen(or should it be, indirect?) appearance there. Certain things happened to them, and I really… it not happy. Depending on the case, I might completely deconstruct Lavi due the situation he finds himself into.
About Komui… yeah I made him snap... pretty self-explanatory, there isn't much to reveal about in his segment, but it is necessary for the scene a have in mind. I wonder what you guys think about it.
Now the important part! Allen's drama! Lol, I confess, never thought it would end it in that way really. This was the hard part I was talking about… at first when I wrote it, it felt soo dull and empty, I had to change it but man… it took time. Now it sounds a little repetitive if you take it to the emotional side and for one second, I almost made Lenalee confess… but then, as you know it, that would be ridiculous.
Either way, what it matter now is how I'm going to design Allen's powers… I thought about avoid the Clown theme and focusing more on the Winged Paladin, but I have my doubts if it will work… there's also the concern about the abilities, not only for Allen but also for the rest of the cast, any suggestions here would be appreciated.
Anyway that's all. If you have any comments, critics, ideas or options, please don't forget to review if possible, your help is greatly appreciated.
Till the next chapter^^
