Sorry for the long delay guys! Wow, I updated this like two months ago ;~; I am SO sorry...I don't really have a good excuse either...wow...very sorry...I've survived worse though, guys! I know this one story that hasn't updated for two years...-SOB- hopefully they'll update soon! On a different note, I went to Colossalcon last Friday and Saturday and I cosplayed Saturday AND found a Lavi. I have Lavi's (I don't know her name don't hit me xD) phone number too but...I don't know what to text her...(she has me in as Allen in her phone xD)...and it's been like a week since the con so it'd probably be kinda awkward.
Tyki: Screw you and your shyness.
Vira: I'M NOT SHY! I just...don't get along well with people I don't know that well...
Tyki: ...-_-;;;
Vira: Man...I really wanna text her...I wish I wasn't an awkward penguin...I WISH I COULD TEXT HER AND OMG IF SHE LIKED LAVEN I COULD TOTALLY BE HER BEST FRIEND AND IT WOULD BE SO AMAZING AND DUDE CAN YOU IMAGINE IF WE-
Tyki: -knocks Vira out with NoName-chan's shovel- (yes I totally just advertised don't judge me)

"Hey, Allen?" Lavi asked and poked at Allen's arm. It'd been two days since Sachiko's appearance and Allen still wouldn't talk to him. Tomorrow was the day he had to pull off his big stunt and he was probably screwed because he still had no idea what he was going to do. He had an idea, but he hadn't met a patient for the job yet. "Wanna go outside?" Lavi asked, poking him again. He looked outside and noticed the sun started setting. He at least needed to speak with Allen before his operation.

Allen didn't respond.

Lavi watched as Allen just laid there, his back to him. Seriously, what made Allen so upset with him? He already tried putting himself in front of Allen but the boy would just switch sides every time he did. Was it because he flirted with a girl that was in his old division? Was that really the problem? If not, then what was the problem? Lavi felt lost and he really just wanted Allen to forgive him already. He wasn't being allowed hours to just sit around and do nothing...so what did Allen want him to do? To apologize? He already apologized...maybe he could ask Lenalee about it...then again, her and Kanda kept on picking on him for actually whining about it in the first place.

"Allen, please don't avoid me." Lavi begged and flopped his torso on top of him, stretching across the bed. "Allen, pleeeeease?" He complained louder. "Allen if you do not answer me I'm going to pitch a hissy fit and act like a two year old."

No response.

"'s your funeral then! Alleeeeeeeeeen~ pleeeeeeease~ stooooop~ ignoriiiiiiiing~ meeeeee~" Lavi whined, shaking the boy's shoulder.

"Oh my god Lavi, seriously?" Allen asked, sitting up whilst causing Lavi to fall out of his chair.

"Kyaaah~!" He yelped. Allen peeked his head over the edge of the bed with a small smirk on his lips yet his expression clearly showed that he was annoyed by Lavi's antics. "Hey, I got your attention didn't I?" He grinned and pulled himself up in the chair. "Seriously, dude, what's wrong?" Lavi asked and Allen sighed, sitting against the headboard of his bed. He pulled his knees up to hug them.

"I don't...like depending on people..." He grumbled, avoiding eye contact. Lavi tilted his head to the side.

"You know, it's quite ironic you say that since you've been depending on this entire facility for like eight years or something." Lavi said dismissively. Allen glared towards him.

"Yeah. I know." He stated shortly. "I just...the Earl is a bad man, Lavi..." He mumbled quietly so the 'cameras' wouldn't hear what he said. Lavi frowned and scooted closer to the bed.

"Bad dreams, huh?" Lavi asked and Allen gave him a puzzled look until he realized Lavi's motives and nodded his head. "You can tell me about em if you want." Lavi said, getting closer and offering his ear. Allen leaned in and whispered in his ear.

"...he abused me, Lavi." Lavi's eyes widened incredulously at Allen's words.

"What?!" He exclaimed, pulling back. Allen looked away from him guiltily. "...you...remember what happened?" Lavi asked just below a whisper.

"Not everything..." Allen mumbled. He gave Lavi a serious glance before placing his hand on the right side of his chest. Lavi tilted his head to the side. "Can we go outside? It's stuffy in here..." Allen said, pulling at his collar. Lavi nodded and took out the wheelchair.

Allen looked away from Lavi as he picked him up and put him in the wheelchair. The younger already knew how to walk...but how would the nurses react if they found out? He'd be on an alarm for sure. Lavi cautiously rolled him out of the room and into the courtyard. Allen pointed towards a rather shady tree and he parked him with his back to the the hospital. Lavi sat down across from him in a chair that was supplied by the facility. He watched as Allen looked around cautiously for any sign of life before turning his head towards the redhead. "I need to show you something." He said quietly. Lavi nodded, figuring he shouldn't make any smart comment when Allen started unbuttoning his gown since Allen was finally talking to him again. Allen looked behind him before letting the cloth drape around his elbows.

Lavi could feel his mouth go dry.

Down the right side of Allen's chest was a large scar. If he took a closer look, it actually trailed down further than that. The redhead felt his stomach churn and he couldn't help but look away. Just the thought of how painful it could've been for the boy before him...it must have been ridiculously painful. Allen quickly slipped the material back on and hurriedly buttoned up his gown. "What...happened...?" Lavi asked, not completely trusting his voice.

"Back at the I.A...the Earl would come visit me often...he...I don't know why, but he'd always threaten to kill me if I told anyone." He said softly.

"Told anyone what?" Lavi asked in a whisper.

"I...I don't know...I mean...I might have known back then, but I c-can't remember...I'm sorry." Allen apologized, hanging his head. Lavi let out a frustrated sigh and pulled Allen into a gentle hug.

"It's okay." He said quietly.

"The nurses...they saw the bruises...they saw the cuts...they deemed me insane when I wouldn't tell them who did it to me..." Allen whispered, clenching his fists at the memories. "They thought I...they thought I did it to myself...but I couldn't tell them...if I did then they would question the Earl or they wouldn't believe me...I...I was so confused then...I didn't know what the Earl didn't want me to tell them. I didn't know whether he didn't want me to tell them about the beatings or something else. I became confused and just...my father's death on top of that...I couldn't stand it anymore...I..." Allen shook his head, letting the tears that prickled his eyes fall. "...I don't know who killed Mana...I don't...I want to know...was it really me? Did I really kill him? Why...why would I do that? I love Mana...and why...why was he there? Was he the one taking me to the hospital? I...can't remember...I know what happened but I...I can't r-remember a thing..."

"You don't need to remember anything, Allen." Lavi murmured and rubbed his back soothingly. "We'll figure this out, I promise."

"What if we don't? What if you're fired for trying to help me out? What if...what if I try to kill you too?" Allen's voice cracked at that last question. He didn't want to kill Lavi, he loved him. But...he killed someone he loved before didn't he? He didn't want Lavi to leave...but what if it was for the best?

"You won't kill me, Allen." Lavi said with a sad smile.

"How do you know that? You weren't there when Mana died..." He muttered and buried his face in Lavi's chest, sniffling.

"Because I believe in you, Allen. You didn't kill him. Call me crazy, but my instincts are always right." Lavi said, confidently jerking his thumb against his chest. "They were right when we were robbed once. I knew something was up and I ended up taking out a bad guy. They were also right whenever I pranked my best friend and they told me that if I didn't get out of there he'd chop my head off." Allen giggled at Lavi's words. "He almost got me, but my instincts told me to duck and ever since then, I've always had this uneven piece of hair, see?" Lavi withdrew from Allen and held up a rather nicely cut piece of hair that stuck out of his headband in a stubborn manner. Allen laughed and wiped his tears.

"You're silly, Lavi." Allen chuckled.

"I try~" Lavi sang. He paused and let his joking expression fade. "So...are you going to tell me what happened with you and Sachiko?" He asked sternly. Allen frowned at the sudden change of topic and found himself sighing.

"Nothing happened between us, Lavi. She just...witnessed something that I don't feel comfortable with..." He replied stiffly. Lavi was silent and Allen felt him suppressing the urge to ask what had happened. Allen's hand roamed over his chest.

"After the Earl wounded me deeply...they all thought that I did it to myself and tried to...restrain me. At that time, I was very confused with everything...it was all too much, you know? So...I freaked out and tried to defend myself. I don't really know much...but I know that it was enough to injure a few nurses..." Allen said guiltily. You could just see how much he was ashamed of himself for doing so. "I...I didn't mean to hurt them...it was just...I..." He trailed off, looking away from Lavi. "I didn't know what was going on and I thought he was really trying to kill me even if he wasn't there..." He muttered. "I...I wouldn't blame her if she hated me...she was one of the ones I had hurt...I d-didn't mean to, I really didn't!" Allen added quickly. He slumped his shoulders, expecting Lavi to be upset. "After that...I just...thought...maybe it'd be best if I didn't talk for awhile...I was afraid because the nurses had accidentally bruised me while trying to contain me...I just...don't feel comfortable around them..."

"You should've talked to someone about it." Lavi interrupted. Allen blinked a few times and looked up at Lavi. He didn't seem mad at all by Allen's words. "If you spoke to Eliade for example, she may have been able to report him in time before he got to you. It's a bit too late since he's hidden things in your room and locked your door. Allen...has he been to your room at all recently?" Lavi asked with a frown. Allen returned the frown with his own.

"I don't really know...the Earl has the power to make me forget things so I wouldn't know unless someone checked the footage..." He mumbled. After speaking those words, it was like a light bulb went off in Lavi's head.

That's it! The film! That's what he's after!

"I see...well, I guess we'll know once I'm done saving the day, eh?" Lavi asked with a grin. Allen gave him a lopsided smile.

"Oi, Lavi!" Lenalee called and they turned around to see Lenalee jogging over to them. "There's a new patient, do you want to meet them? Oh, sorry, was I interrupting something?" Lenalee asked. Lavi, alongside Lenalee, was afraid that Allen would get upset for Lavi leaving him. But, to their surprise, he simply smiled at them.

"You can go ahead. Just make sure you put me back." Allen said with a small smile. Lavi nodded and managed a smile. He unlocked Allen's brakes and wheeled him through the halls of the hospital. After putting Allen in his bed, Lavi bid him goodnight and shut his light off. He followed Lenalee to the room that the new patient was in and she knocked before they entered.

Honestly, Lavi expected anything...anything but this.

She had short orange hair, magenta-colored eyes, and what looked like a green tattoo on her forehead. That wasn't the surprising part though. The surprising part was the fact that she and Kanda were glaring at each other, eye to eye. Not to mention she looked extremely pissed off. This girl was definitely different than their normal patients...in fact, she looked like an all around normal girl...except the fact that many girls didn't stand up and glare at Kanda right in his face. This girl had guts. Lavi entered cautiously and he could tell that the girl recognized that he was there, but she didn't make any move to break the glaring contest with Kanda. She seemed to be a very persistent girl.

"E-excuse me..." Lenalee tried breaking them apart from each other but they both stood firm. Her eye twitched and she did the only thing she could.

She hit Kanda with a clipboard.

He deadpanned and slowly looked over at her before focusing his glare on her instead. "What the hell was that for?!" He snapped.

"Sorry to disturb you two but...this is Lavi. He's a Candy Striper too and I'm sure that he'll help-" Lenalee started but Fou cut her off.

"I don't need any fucking help!" She snapped. "I am not a crazy person! My fucked up parents just wanted to get rid of me! So I fought back and some fucking Earl guy deemed me insane! Can you believe this shit? I am a perfectly capable-" Fou started her rant but Lavi quickly interrupted her.

"Earl?" He asked quickly. Fou gave him a suspicious glare before nodding.

"Yeah, he was all weird and shit. You know him?" Fou asked and Lavi nodded.

"He's the owner of this place." Lavi paused before giving Lenalee and Kanda a look that told him he needed to speak with this girl alone. They both left the room, Lenalee dragging an unwilling Kanda out.

"Dude, you ain't gonna rape me or anything?" She asked bluntly and Lavi laughed.

"No, but I need your help." Lavi said, lowering his voice just in case there were cameras in this room too.

"And what do I get out of it?" She asked. Lavi smirked at the question and tapped his chin, feigning innocence.

"Most likely a ticket out of this place." He paused, looking over at her before looking away and continuing. "Then again, what's not to like about this place? Free food, friends with other mental patients, check-ups on you every five hours-"

"I'm in." Fou blurted before Lavi could continue. The redhead grinned at her. "So what's going on anyways?" She asked, quite rudely actually.

"Well, not to sound rude, but I need to use you-don't say anything yet, I'm not finished-you see, there's a patient here, room 14, his name is Allen Walker. He was condemned to the I.A., aka Insane Asylum, because he was convicted of murdering his father. The thing is, Allen couldn't have done it. When he was in the I.A., this Earl guy came in and hit him and threatened him not to tell him something, I don't know what so don't ask, and now we have proof that this guy is bad...except in order to prove it, we need...a distraction." He turned to her.

"You need me to create a distraction?" She asked incredulously. Lavi began to sweat in fear of rejection to his offer. "Dude, if it means I get out of this creepy place, I'll do it." She agreed with a wide grin. "In fact, I think this might be fun~" She added afterwards and then paused. "How did you know the check-up people or whatever they are were gonna be here tomorrow, though?" She asked. Lavi deadpanned at her question. So that's why it has to be tomorrow. Lavi hid his puzzlement and crossed his arms with a grin on his face.

"You could say that I have connections." Wow, Lavi, you are the man! That sounded so badass! Fou threw her hands up.

"Watch out we got a badass over here." They were both silent before they both started laughing.

"You know, you're not that bad." Lavi complimented.

"Same to you, Ginger." Lavi's grin was wiped off at the nickname.

"...thanks?" She nodded at his awkwardness.

"You're welcome."

"So, what are you going to do to cause a diversion? It's gotta be suspicious enough for the investigators to investigate this entire hall." Lavi informed and Fou rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry, man, I got this." She beamed.

"Are you sure?" He asked. "If you need help, I can work a plan out with you."

"Oh trust me, I know what I'm doing." She paused for a minute and then grinned. "So this is going down tomorrow, right? What time?" She asked and Lavi blanched. He didn't think about that. Knowing Cross from Allen's stories, he wasn't an early bird. So it had to be sometime in the afternoon or evening tomorrow.

"Probably around the afternoon sometime...you have a plan?" He asked and she nodded.

"Oh yeah, I've got a good one." The confidence she showed him led him to believe in her and feel excited as well.

Just you wait, Allen. We're getting you out of here.
