"We just found the body sir." Tom said with a strangled voice, after clearing his throat and keeping his eye son the Headmaster, who stared at him darkly.

"Is this the truth Miss Grindelwald?" Armando Dippet questioned, turning to look at Hermione while tapping his fingers on his wooden desk, reflecting how bothered he was with what had happened and the two teenagers in front of him had witnessed.

"Yes sir." Hermione replied with a faint nod. "Riddle and I were heading to class when we heard a scream coming from the bathroom. I went to check it and found her there..." she said quietly, looking down at her hands.

Hermione had seen a lot lately, provided by the war that she had participated in the future, but the surprise factor was the thing shocking her so much. She never thought she would see a women's head hanging by a slim piece of skin in Hogwarts. It was something that she thought she would see only in Muggle horror movies. The image of the women's throat cut from side to side still flashed through her mind. She froze on the spot, and if Voldemort hadn't blinded her from the horrible scenario, she would be much more terrified than she already was.

"Very well." Headmaster Dippet muttered, "You are dismissed, both of you. You have missed enough classes for one day." he said, trying to tranquilize them with a fake smile.

Hermione nodded after Riddle stood, "Mister Riddle, Miss..." Dippet gulped, "Grindelwald, please try and keep this a secret. We do not want panic to arise." he commanded in a low tone. Hermione had been told about the Headmaster that Dumbledore followed, and he had always been referred as a lovely old man, and although he hadn't proved otherwise, he was being slightly different now and it was reasonable. Hermione gave an hesitant nod and walked out of the office, furrowing her brows angrily as she walked quickly down the hallway.

"Keep it a secret..." she muttered to herself, knowing she was being followed by Riddle, since she could hear the sound of his shoes tapping the stone floor as he walked not so far behind her. "How does he want to keep it a secret that someone was found practically headless!" Hermione huffed, as she took a sharp turn. The Transfiguration classroom wasn't so far away, but she had some time to calm herself down to her favorite's teacher class.

Tom Riddle followed her, his upper lip quirking up in a small smirk as he heard her hiss to herself. She was fuming, scared, and confused, and Tom couldn't deny that he also felt slightly disturbed. He tried to distract himself by paying the girl more attention, and noticed he enjoyed immensely the fiery side of the little lioness that was walking in front of him. Although, as he thought about her attitude and what she was speaking about, his mind drifted to what caused all that rage and fear combined to build up. He realized he was also confused, not scared though. Tom Riddle would never be scared, until something or someone managed to prove him the contrary. As the Head Boy, he was sure that the woman found dead in the bathroom had never attended to Hogwarts. Also, by the way she was dressed, she was also a muggle. But how did she end up there, in the bathroom? Apparation was impossible, since no one was able to Apparate from the outside to the inside of the school and the other way around, so the big question was, how did the woman appear, like magic, inside of Hogwarts?

Tom was drifted away from his thoughts when he unconsciously followed Grindelwald inside the Transfiguration classroom. "Mister Riddle, Hermione, how nice it is for both of you to finally join us." Dumbledore greeted with a small smile, before waving his wand and making a clock appear in front of him, "Exactly one minute before the class ends."

"I'm sorry sir." Hermione muttered, looking around the classroom and looking back at the professor when she confirmed that her bag had been taken to the classroom.

"I apologize." Riddle said shortly, sitting down on his place.

"The class is dismissed." he said with a smile, looking around at the rest of the Slytherin and Gryffindor students, "You two stay, obviously." Dumbledore said calmly as the rest of the students exited the classroom.

When the classroom was emptied, there was only Voldemort, who was still sat down on his place, Hermione, who was leaning against one of the desks at the front, and Professor Dumbledore, who had sat down on his own place at his desk, "I was informed about what happened." he started quietly, intertwining his fingers, "And I apologize you had to witness that."

Hermione kept her eyes on the older man, paying attention to his every expression, "Do you know who the woman was?" she questioned quietly."

"Unfortunately, no." Dumbledore shook his head, "We are simply aware that she wasn't a witch, Miss Grindelwald."

She nodded and looked down. "Do you have anything to say Tom?" Came Dumbledore's voice and Hermione looked up with a raised brow, looking back to lock her eyes on Riddle, who looked at the professor expressionless.

"No. I have nothing to say sir." he replied coldly, leaning back on his chair.

"You may go then." Dumbledore said quickly, waving his hand, "I need to chat with Miss Grindelwald."

Tom drifted his eyes from the old man and towards Hermione. He nodded faintly and stood up, grabbing his belongings that had also been left there and then exiting the classroom. Hermione looked back at her professor. "Hermione." he started, "I need you to connect some puzzle pieces." Dumbledore requested in a hushed voice.

Hermione nodded, "Of course sir."

"Do you recall what Grindelwald motive was to start his movement?" he questioned slowly, so she would get every word he said, "And when he started?" he questioned after Hermione nodded at his previous question, getting another nod from her, "I know you did not come to stop Gellert, because that will be my job." he said quietly and Hermione froze, "But I need you to realize what is happening differently from your version."

"I am sorry, but what do you mean sir?" Hermione questioned, raising a brow in confusion.

Dumbledore stood, slowly rounding his desk and standing in front of Hermione. "I am saying that maybe something went wrong, or perhaps something that neither you or the future me expected to happen." he said quietly, the familiar twinkle in his eyes being now more noticeable as he stood closer to Hermione.

"You are saying that... there is a possibility that... me being in the past is going to alter things we never meant to change?"

"Exactly." Dumbledore nodded, watching her expectantly as he hoped she would figure what was happening.

Something seemed to click and her eyes opened wide. Her thoughts traveled to Voldemort, but she deleted that option immediately. Riddle had already done many things, and she knew his dark side was more around than ever. Many students had been showing up in the Hospital Wing with loss of memory, excruciating pain, broken bones and hallucinations, and she knew that was caused by Voldemort and his little group. She also knew, that by Tom's change of physical appearance, that he had probably made his first horcrux already. He was paler, thinner, and seemed tired.

"Sir, is there any chance that Riddle is able to contact Grindelwald?" Hermione questioned shakily.

Dumbledore shook his head, "I have to say that is impossible at the moment. All the letters are being read, all the fireplaces are being watched, if Tom was planning anything, we would have caught him by now." he said.

"Oh." Hermione said, nodding. Even though, Riddle was not an option to exclude immediately, nor was Grindelwald an option to be certain of, "I don't know sir..." she muttered, looking down.

"Well, maybe you will be more certain when you analyze this." he said and gave her a piece of parchment.

Hermione furrowed and looked down at the parchment she held. She felt the air get lost in her lungs when she found herself looking straight at a triangle, that held a circle and a straight line inside.

The Deathly Hallows.
